Custom Report Not fetching values for parameter of report (Valueset not pop

Hi,
I am running custom report on Oracle application R12. This report parameters used standard value set for fetching purchase order number. The value set is not populating any values for the custom report. but for the standard report where this valuse set populating proper result.
It's bit Supprising ...the same valuset populating values for standard reports but not for custom report developed by me.

Luckily I have been able to rectify the problem !
I tried retrieving the output using LISTCUBE to show the SID of the InfoObject also for which I was unable to get the data. After the report successfully gave the output for those I/O, I checked again I could see the data in the I/O maintain master data !
It worked like magic to me !
But I could guess that since it is a virtual I/O therefore it is not able to retrieve the data from the table directly and is able to do that only after the SID of this I/O is retrieved.
(If a characteristic does not have any master data, the values from the SID table are displayed for the "Values in Master Data Table" mode.)

NOT Getting Values for LOCATION...on MultiProvider REPORT

HI All,
I have a MultiProvider on 4 cubes.All these 4 cubes having object LOCATION. I can see data in all cubes for LOCATION. I am running a report on this MultiProvider.
Problem:
I am not getting Values for LOCATION. Why?
What I did:
I checked all location objects of all 4 cubes @ MultiProvider level .
I didn't use any Infoprovider in Qry designer sections.
Please suggest. What is the reason how to solve..

hello,
in the identification tab of the MP,make sure you have checked all four checkboxes across the 4 infoproviders.
then in Listcube T-Code, select your MP,display the records based on selection inputs and see if location is populated.
If the data is not coming in listcube, then it will not come in the Query too.

ADF BC: calling SDO : Value for parameter 'findCriteria' cannot be null

We have created a service interface from an application module. That service interface contains views that have view criteria. We have included those criteria in our services.
From my consuming application, i added a data control from webservices by providing the WSDL of the service interface. So far so good...
When i drop the result of a function that is bound to the view criteria to my page, i have to enter four parameters:
fincCriteria of the Object type
areaCode of the String type, this is a parameter we added in the view criteria using a bind variable.
languageCode of the String type, also a custom parameter of the view criteria
findControl of the Object type
In my bindings i can provide the value of areaCode and languaeCode but i don't have a clue what to do with findCriteria and findControl. I left them empty and then i get followign message from the server:
<SOAPProvider><setParameters> Value for parameter 'findCriteria' cannot be null
<SOAPProvider><setParameters> Value for parameter 'findControl' cannot be null
<WebServiceConnectionMessages><debugExecuteFailure> Failed to execute a SAAJ interaction.

Found some documentation on how to use the service interface from business components and as it appears you can create entity objects based upon the wsdl from the service interface.
Does it mean that i can only use the service interface that way and that when i have for example a dot net application, it can not use that service interface?

Invalid value for parameter error when value is in list of allowed parameters

I have some documents with a lot of paragraph styles that have been organized into groups. I have a simple script that is meant to ungroup these styles and delete the now-empty groups.

The error I receive is (emphasis mine):

Error String: Invalid value for parameter 'reference' of method 'move'. Expected ParagraphStyle, ParagraphStyleGroup, CharacterStyle, CharacterStyleGroup, CellStyle, CellStyleGroup, TableStyle, TableStyleGroup, Document or Application, but received Document.
As you can see, my pickle is that my value is of an allowed type. This only happens in some documents, and there's nothing that obviously distinguishes those documents from the ones in which it works.
One thing I've noticed is that the error sometimes takes a while to appear (a minute or so), but none of the styles have been moved once I click OK. So, I don't know if it's specific to one style. I doubt it, only because other documents with the same style set work.
Can anyone shed any light on what this error could mean in this context? I definitely have an activeDocument, so what could cause a Document to not be a Document?
Any help much appreciated!

CN41 report with out values for project dates

Hi Experts
The following field values are captured in Table PROJ.
a. Finish Date PROJ-PLSEZ
b. Forecast Start PROJ-SPROG
c. Forecast Finish PROJ-EPROG
But the report CN41/CN41N does not show values for these fields.
Can anybody give clue to get this report with values for the above fields.

Function Module does not fetch value

Hi All,
I am using the fm RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD to fetch condition records. When I run this fm in SE37 for a particular document(vbeln) number, the values are fetched correctly into the internal tables TKOMV and TKOMVD.
The same fm does not fetch values when I run for second time for the same document(vbeln). This means :
1) I will go to SE37, type RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD, supply the export parameters in COMM_HEAD_I, execute it and obtain the condition records (Till this time absolutely fine)
2) Now, press Back (F3), Let the export parameters in "COMM_HEAD_I" will remain same. Just press Execute (F8). Then condition values are not fetched.
Could any body help in this regard...

 I have given you the other alternative bcoz there is a limitation while calling this FM: RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD.
If you see the comments and code of Include: LV61AA11, you can understand the problem.
* mechanism to controll which conditions are already part of table TKOMV
Every time a pricing result is read from database the key is put into
TABGL. Also TABGL is updated if we've lines in TKOMV assigned to a
special key but entry in TABGL (case 2).
Originally TABGL was established to handle following pathological
case: condition successfully read from DB -> entry in TABGL. Then all
read conditions where deleted during processing (e.g. manually
deletion etc.). If we run into this routine again no records should
be redetermined from DB...
read table tabgl with table key knumv = komk-knumv
 transporting no fields.
Case 1:
conditions have been already read because there is a fitting entry in
TABGL. Exit immediately if caller doesn't want to force DB access.
if sy-subrc eq 0. ---> First time SY-SUBRC NE 0 so no problem
 if generell_lesen ne 'X'. --> Later runs SY-SUBRC eq 0 and generell_lesen value is SPACE.

Not seeing values for the Nav att values in cubes

Hi Guys
I hv included an IO cube and that has a NAV attrbute (IO_MAT).. This cube is included inthe MP1. When i see the data in List cube .. i am not able to see the value of that Navigatinal attribute in the list cube. but im able to see the values of the IO object ....
When we do report on this im not getting values for this nav att in the report.
I hv select Nav attribute check mark in Cube for this object.

Hi,
your Multiprovider MP1 may include Cubes C1 and C2.Lets assume your navigational attribute is in C1. When you display MP1 in Listcube, it will display all records from C1 and C2.
Note that you wont be able to see your Nav Attr. for records coming from C2 because it exits only in C1. To distinguish this, select field 'Infoprovider' in Listcube and restict it to C1 then you shud be able to NAV ATTR.

I get the below error while accessing a query on the planning Info Cube. I used the SAP Exit variable Most Current Data (Transactional InfoCube) (0S_RQTRA) in the query for the Characteristic - Request ID (0REQUID) to extract the data from the yellow request too.
I do not use the below variables as in the below eror in my query at all. Please assist.
Diagnosis
This error diagnosis is specific only to the variables 0P_FVAEX or 0P_CTPCA !
Termination message BRAIN 632 appears:

With queries from the FI application, the SAP Exit Variable 0P_FVAEX looks for an entry for 'company code'. With this company code from the selection screen, the SAP Exit Variables program reads the attributes for InfoObject 0COMP_CODE (Company Code).
0P_FVAEX determines the fiscal year variant (attribute 0FISCVARNT) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA (CO queries) or 0COMP_CODE (FI queries). 0P_CTPCA determines the currency type of the profit center local currency (attribute 0CURTP_PCA) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA.

you need to take a closer look at your query. Somewhere you used one of the 0P_* exit variables, which work only for controlling related InfoCubes. Use your own variables.

By MIX values, do you mean you are getting a * in the resultant row, and when you drill down by a certain characteristic you get multiple values of different units ? Please do give more details so that the forum can help you better.

Report Builder 1.0 for SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 R2

We are trying to implement Ad-Hoc Reporting using SSRS 2008 R2.
First of all, it is very unhelpful that all SSRS books are for either 2008 or 2012, even though SSRS has major changes in 2008 R2 compared to 2008.
Our instructional materials indicate that we should build Report Models to abstract out our databases into terms familiar to our business users.
The problem we are having is the difference in functionality between Report Builder 1.0 and Report Builder 3.0. Report Builder 3.0 is touted as having the modern, ribbon based interface that is supposed to make end-users feel more comfortable. However,
all the documentation says that end users are supposed to use Report Builder 1.0 for Ad-Hoc Reporting. And, it seems, that the reports generated by Report Builder 1.0 are not round-trip compatible with all the other reporting tools for SSRS 2008 R2.
The documentation we have illustrates that Report Builder 1.0 is nice for Ad-Hoc reporting, because is based on connecting directly to Report Models, and the end users can directly drag-and-drop entities and fields into their reports.
When we try working with Report Builder 3.0, it seems we must first connect to the Report Model as a Data Source and then build a Dataset query on the Report Model. Only then are some entity attributes available to be dropped into the report.
If the user decides another source column is needed, they have to go back, edit the query, save the query, and then drag the column from the Dataset to the report. This does not seem end user friendly at all!
We are also concerned that if we train our users on the seemingly soon-to-be-obsolete Report Builder 1.0, and get them used to having direct Report Model access, that at some point we will have to move them to the Dataset-interrupted approach of Report Builder
2+. Highlighting this perception of impending obsolescence of Report Builder 1.0 is that in our shop that is starting with SSRS 2008 R2, we cannot figure out how to get a copy of Report Builder 1.0 in the first place.
We just don't see our end users being savvy enough to handle the steps involved with creating Datasets on top of Report Model Data Sources. So we would have to build the Datasets for them. But in that case, what point is there in creating any
Report Models in the first place if DBAs are the ones to make Datasets?
As such, it is hard to envision a forward-looking SSRS implementation that has the end user ease-of-use Ad-Hoc reporting that the SSRS 2008 documentation presents.
What is it that Microsoft actually wants/expects SSRS implementers to do?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
