Custom report software installed with last logged on user.

Can someone please help, I'd like to create a custom report: Specific software installed on a computer which includes last logged on user. I can do this by query but need a custom report for none ConfigMgr users.

SCCM Last Logged on user results

What process gets SCCM 2012 the last logged on user information? Is there a way I can make it update more often or get more accurate results?

I believe SCCM gets last logged on user from Hardware Inventory Scan via Win32_ComputerSystem. you can configure the frequency of Hardware Inventory from Administration > Client Settings > (Properties of your client policy) > Hardware Inventory
You may want to consider looking at User Device Affinity if you are trying to match users to computers. Alternatively if your creating reports checkout the Console Usage table "v_GS_SYSTEM_CONSOLE_USAGE"

Last logged on user only populated sporadically

I am wanting my last logged on user information to be as current and accurate as possible, i have enabled auditing and changed the client policy thresholds to lower the user time on pc before it is logged as last logged on user but 50% of the machines have
no last logon user or have wrong or stale information...
what is the best practice for getting this more accurate and up to date, does the client send the last logged on user back to the server as part of its inventory? why is it blank for so many machines?

If you are talking about User Device Affinity (which is what you are editing when you click the "Edit Primary User" menu item or ribbon bar button, it is actually unrelated to last logon user in any way.
UDA and primary user are determined by events in the security event log. Thus, if you've left the default values, users must be logged onto a system for 2880 minutes (48 total hours) over a span of 30 days to automatically be marked as primary. Thus, the
security event log on the client system must also have (at least) 30 days worth of events in order to be able to calculate this. Additionally, by default, UDA is not configured to be determined automatically so if you've left your settings at default,
nothing will happen.

Login to Jabber Client (Windows/Mac) with current logged in user account.

We are deploying Jabber Client for Windows and will eventually be deploying for Macintosh. I have no problem building the thinapp deployment package for the Jabber client. However, when the thinapp is ran, it always shows the account that was used to initially login to the client and setup the server connection.
Is there a way for the client to use the current logged in user in the sign in field? I am trying to automate or SSO the process of logging into Jabber.
Any and all ideas, tips, and/or tricks are greatly appreciated!

This is nothing to do with the TC. This is your user issues on the Mac.
I would do a major fix on the computer.. copy your user files to another location.. create a new administrator account.. login with the new admin account and delete the old one. Delete all the files associated with that account, so you are effectively starting with a clean Mac.
I have just sold off a couple of computers and that is how I prepared it for the next person.. it seemed to work easily and removed all my stuff from the computer whilst still giving them full admin access.
Please I am far from expert in doing this kind of stuff in OSX so just look up deleting original user accounts in whatever OS you run.

But now I have the request to show the summarized data of the MD04. Summarized by days, weeks and months...

We did the same development to display the Stock Requirement list in Months /Days/Weeks with summerizatin of Different MRP Elements stock into report using Hierrarchical ALV concept.
Function Module :MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API will give you the data as it is avaialble in MD04 thereafter we need to summerize quantity based on MDPSX-DAT00 and MDPSX-DELKZ field
(MDPSX is the result table after executing the function module.)

Protecting software licenses with Activation codes, limiting users

Hi all.
I'm trying to find a solution for preventing clients that buy an application so install it above the limit in contract that it was bought original.
Some clients buy our Oracle Application and for reasons that we cannot control they install more copies and have more users using it then what is in the contract.
I'm looking for solutions that can limit either the number of clients connected on that application at any given time, or can limit how many terminals will be connected on it at any given time.
Can I limit it by the number of users or by the number of terminals or both?
How are others taking control on not so nice clients that buy a 10 users version but end up using for 20 or 30 users without paying the upgrade for the application?

The only comment I would make to Adobe on this matter is as follows:
Whatever licensing scheme you come up with, keep it simple so it actually works.
Fully disclose the details of your protection schemes to the customer before purchase.
Sure, we're small fish, but Adobe lost all interest that we may have had in using PDFs for web data-input when we very quickly demonstrated to ourselves (using the absolutely-most-current versions of Acrobat and Reader) that the technology was completely un-reliable when Reader was used, and it was unreliable because of errors in the license-control routines. Furthermore, these were issues that we had been given no cause to expect.
The "rights" that Adobe seemed to be trying to enforce here also make no business sense: either you have sold me the "right" to create fillable PDF forms for web-form use, within the "ordinary" context of Acrobat/Reader, for as many such form-files as I may care to make, or you have not sold me anything at all. Sure, we all understand the Gillette Principle ("give 'em the handle, sell 'em the blades"), but at the end of the day the customer has to come away with a clean-shaven face. That is what the customer is paying money to get, and if your efforts to obtain revenue defeat its "fitness to a particular purpose," then you are doing something very wrong.

ADDM Report is not produced if logged in user does not have SYSDBA privilege

In SQLDEV 4.0 (Early Adapter), I logged in as user with no SYSDBA privilege granted. But ADVISOR granted and execute on DBMS_ADDM granted and "select any dictionary" granted, etc.
Then i go to the menu View --> DBA --> Performance --> Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor
Select ADDM report from the available choices.
Out of 3 menu options: Summary, Findings and ADDM Report, I can see the first two, but I am getting a grey screen for ADDM Report.

If i do exactly the same but login as SYSDBA, then ADDM Report can be produced and can be seen. So the issue is in the missing grants and privileges.

The goal that we are pursuing in our shop is to empower developers to work with ADDM reports by having them login as non-SYSDBA user.

This worked for me in my quick test case.
Great help, as DBA group wants to allow NON-privileged users (like Developers and QA) to execute ADDM on demand.
Here is my observation for RAC database with two instances.
I have followed your instructions:
"Performance / Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor -> Run ADDM"
Then
- Uncheck box "By Creating New Snapshot" (this box was checked by default)
- Provide new "Task Name" (let's say "vr1")
- Select "Start Snapshot" (this is where my first confusion is: each screen shot # is shown twice, may be because i have two instances of RAC)
- Select "End Snapshot" (the same way: each SNAP_ID is shown twice)
- and finally APPLY button is pressed
This creates 3 reports:
vr1
vr1$1 (for instance_id=1)
vr1$2 (for instance_id=2_
So, my question is: this expected and normal behavior of the tool?
What if my RAC database has 8 instances? Then I would generate 9 separate ADDM reports?
Is this correct observation?

Custom masterpage causes issues with "OK" buttons in user management areas

I have 2 SharePoint 2010 farms, 2 servers each. And I have a particular site that uses what I would call a highly customized masterpage.
When this masterpage is selected as the site master and system master on the site collection (per developer request), I am unable to add users to the site, I get as far as selecting the new user, but its as if the "OK" button is dead, click it
and nothing happens. Same is true when I try to create an SPgroup, fill in all the fields, and click "OK", and nothing happens.
Not sure where else might be affected, but the short of it is the behavior does not happen with the v4 master.
Also, it does seem to be more related to the system master page, if I use the customized one as the site master, and the v4 as the system. I don't have this issue... (but that's not what was requested)
So I am in a situation where Administration blames the code, and developer is blaming the environment. I can repro this happens 100% consistently in the 2 environments where it has been deployed.
Any Advice?

Per my understanding, there is an issue when applying a custom master page as the system master page.
By default, system master page will be used “for all forms and view pages in this site”, at the meantime, site master page will be used by all publishing pages, that’s
why this issue is “more related to the system master page”.
As a common practice, it is recommended that you look into the page source to see if there any difference in the style or HTML structure of the “OK” button between
the V4.master page and your custom master page, it will give more clues about how to fix this issue.

Hiding Buttons with current logged in user

I am trying to hide a button by finding out which user is logged in. So in the buttons page
i have condition type set to
"value of item in Expression 1 != Expression 2"
and in exp1 i have
:APP_USER
and in exp2 i have
GUEST

Use :APP_USER in your sql or in a plsq region
Use v('APP_USER') inside procedures/functions/triggers
Use &APP_USER. else where ie html etc

Yes, download the RDL file and modify the report. If the user name is not in one of the current datasets, then you have to add it first.
