Custom Segment field is getting cleared in ZCOSMAS01

Hi All
We have created Idoc extension ZCOSMAS01 for Basic type COSMAS01, with custom segmetn having one Z field.
This is inbound scenarion. The Sending system has confirmed that they are sending this field, but in receiving system this field is blank.
Searched forum but did not found answer.
Any Ideas ?

Thanks for reply. My scenario is inbound scenario and this field exists in sending system. They have confirmed that through PI its been sent to receiving system correctly.
But in receiving system Idoc its getting cleared. Debugged the function module IDOC_INPUT_COSTCENTER, but could not find any place where its getting cleared.
Is there anything which I am missing?

i have a button as next. When the next record is shown the next record shows but although I clear FIELD ztrsc_fibld-fidocamt, in the debug mode it clears THE FIELD VALUE ztrsc_fibld-fidocamt AND THEN GETS THE NEXT RECORD AND PUTS THE CORRECT NEXT AMOUNT OF THE NEXT RECORD INTO ztrsc_fibld-fidocamt, but when it appears on the Statement FIELD ztrsc_fibld-fidocamt as per the below code.

    FIELD ztrsc_fibld-fidocamt.
    MODULE user_fidocamt ON CHAIN-REQUEST.

the old value of "10" re-appears although I had cleared it in the previous Module program. What could be the reason.

Thanks a lot for your prompt answer. Well yes if i clear in the PBO the value gets cleared, but then i wanted to get the next records value into the value field, well the problem got solved in a much easier way i put everything into one chain endchain statement.

Customer open items not getting cleared using F-28 OR F-30

If I use F-28 OR F-30, to create in coming payments manually, when I do FBL5N for the Open items, I see that Customer Payments are still reflected in the Open items. I expect that since I made the payment against the invoice the Open items should be cleared, why is this not happening?

i guess figured it out as to what could be the problem with you..... here is an example what you have been throuhg
you see the thing is your invoice was of 396/- $
which has a discount of suppose 2%
now the total amount the customer has to pay is 388.08$
but what you actually recieved is less than what the customer had to pay lets say 380 $
now what you might have done is according my analysis is that
you cleared the invoice with 380 $ with out actly changing the discount amount , because the amount after discount was 388.08 $ but you cleared it with 380$ which means still the system says the customer has to pay a the balance 8.08$...
now what you need to do is to go back to the tcode F-32 and try to change the disc amount to an amount that would make the invoice amount equal to what the customer has paid. and then try to clear the transactioin....
and one more thing i feel tcode f-28 is much better than tcode f-30 to avoid complications

Customer invoices are not getting cleared when lockbox file imported in sap

Hello ,
When the lockbox file is imported into SAP , it is not able to clear customer invoices. It creates SAP documents and payment advices but not able to apply the payments to customers accounts.
Can anyone suggest on this with possible solutions.

Hi,
You have to check the invoices are being match. The options are the following according to selection screen in FLB2:
Document numbers (BELNR)
Reference document numbers (XBLNR)
Document number first, if not found: reference doc. number
Reference document number first, if not found: doc. number
Document number first, then reference and amount
You have to check if the information which is coming in the file is the same present in the invocies in the ERP.
Also check the settings in OBAX and OBAy.

"The Customer line items not getting cleared through F-28"

Hi,
There are 4 line items when going into option FBL5N . However, payment has been received, and when going into option F-28 to post the payment, only 2 of the 4 lines appear, and the full payment cannot be allocated. Please advise why all 4 lines do not appear.

Custom fields appended in /SAPAPO/MM_DOC table gets cleared after BOP

Hi,
I appended few fields in /SAPAPO/MM_DOC table for STO's. I was able to populate it from ECC.
But once the BOP job has run all these custom fields are getting cleared.
Can someone tell me how to fix this.

Some of the custom fields has been added to /SAPAPO/MM_DOC table in SCM to populate data of STO's in ECC.
These custom fields will be updated using BADI's in SCM.
When the Back Order Processing(BOP) runs on SCM for these STO's these fields whatever has been updated from ECC are cleared.
How can I stop clearing these custom fields.
Can I use any exits or BADI's which can update these fields during BOP.

Assignment Field Get Cleared(blank) During Automatic Payment Run(F110)

Hi all,
We have a senario that during the creation of AP invoice, the Profit Center is entered in Assignment field ( BSEG-ZUONR) in FB01.In the invoice document the assignment field value correctly copied into Profit center (BSEG-PRCTR) based on a subsititution rule.
But during the payment document run (F110) the assignment field is get cleared (Blank).and in REGUP table, the Assignment field get populated correctly.
By displaying the payment document using transaction code FB03, the assingment fields is empty.ie field BSEG-ZUONR is empty. .
We have checked all the subsititution rules defined in the system and none of these causing the problem. We suspect there are some hidden subsititution or configurations in SAP that affect the assignment. We also checked the sort key is not the cause of it.
Have anyone encounter the same scenario why the Assignment field get cleared(blank) in Payment document. Please kindly share.

I think you are trying to Run Automatic Payment Programme with Check Management and you want to Print check and payment summary.
Kindly check if you have defined SAP Scripts in FBZP Payment Method in Company Code.Select a Co Code and double click on payment method eg C-Cheque, their is a section called FORM DATA you need to input Scripts for the same so that the Payment Programme prints output as defined in the SAP Script for Checks and payment advice

Custom segments to basic IDOC type without extension

Is it possible that an IDOC has custom segments which are getting populated and the basic type does not have any custom segments.
How should we find from where the custom segments are getting populated and displayed?

Lets say in DELVRY05 Idoc Type, we have a Segment Called E1EDL20 and since this is a Standard SAP Provided Basic Type, it will not have any Custom Segments ( Z-Segments). Now, If I want some additional Information to be populated as part of a Custom Segment, what I would do is to Create an IDoc Extension ZDELVRY05 with reference to the Basic Type DELVRY05 and Create a Custom Segment Z1EDL20 (Per Say) in which I'll populate the Custom Data Fields using an Exit. So, unless we create an IDoc Extension for a Basic Type, the Standard SAP Basic Type will not have any Custom Segments-Fields (Z-Segments).

Text getting cleared after throwing OAException message

Hi,
I have a message text input item and a drop down if user does not enter anything in either and hits button then I am throwing a OAException with a message.
The problem is each time the user enters let us say some text in the drop down and does not select anything in the list all the text the user enters is being cleared off. They want to be able to preserve the text they wrote as it could be a lots of words.
I tried acheiving this through saving the text into a variable and displaying it after the error but it gives me compile error saying statement is not reachable.
Here is my part my code....the one in bold is where I was trying to assign the saved text back but it throws me compile error. Can someone suggest some other way of doing what I am trying to do?

Actually yes I am setting the value to NULL in the beginning of the PR when the page first loads.
But the issue is that if I don't do that then the comments / notes that the user enters are showing up if I hit cancel and come back to the page. So my requirement is that if the User comes in the page the notes and note type should be null or blank.
There are 2 buttons on the page one is the Save button and the other is the Cancel button. I just want the to handle my items correctly on these events.
* IF the user hits the save button without entering the required fields then I raise an OAexception but the all the fields are getting cleared out. ( I don't know how since I set them to NULL in the PR not in PFR). I want the error message but I don't want to clear out the fields.
* IF the user hits the cancel button I don't want to retain or keep the fields I want to blank them out.
Right now, I can make one or the other work but not both. Can anyone please suggest what I should do. Would really appreciate it. Below is my controller code that setting the stuff

Add new field to the existing custom segment

Hi Experts,
We have a custom segment. In the last month (that time our release is 7.0) I have added a additional field (ERNAM-Created By) to this custom segment.
Couple of days back, we upgraded to 7.1 release.
Now, functional analyst is saying to change the description from 'Created By' to "Batch_Usrer".....so, I created a custom data element and assigned this Batch_Usrer as label.
Now, I went to WE31, entered my_custom_segment and selected ADD VERSION button and then trying to change the assigned data eleement from ERNAM to ZZERNAM for that custom field....but, system is not allowing me to do so!! I tried PENCIL button, Delete Row button, Insert Row button, Menu options, I tried to CANCEL RELEASE the previous version

You can only change the Released version by cancelling the release in system with same Release. I.e. if your segment definition has field1 which was created and released when system release was 700, than you CAN"T change that field in any higher release. Since you are now in 701, you can't change any existing fields which were created as part of 700. I guess the only option is too add a new field.

Custom fields not getting updated in Mass Maintenance-MM17

Hi,
I have created a custom field in MARC table and the data is getting updated to the MARC table through MM01/MM02 but it is not getting updated by MM17. I have checked the notes 44410, 576160, 414020 and 116311. I have done the following changes as per the sap notes.
1. Created a custom segment ZE1MARCM by copying the standard segment E1MARCM and added the custom field in that
    segment.
2. I have extended the IDOC 'MATMAS03' and added the custom segment ZE1MARCM to E1MARAM.
3. Created a new entry in we82 and provided the extension type 'ZMATMAS03' and release '701'.
4. Adjusted the partner profile in we20 for matmas with port and providing the extension idoc type.
5. Added the custom field in the table MASSFLDLST.
6. Implemented the code in BADI 'MG_MASS_NEWSEG' and exits 'EXIT_SAPLMV01_002' , 'EXIT_SAPLMV02_002' as per the
    sap notes.
The custom field is not getting updated through mass maintenance. Please let me know if i have missed anything?

Iam getting error msg saying 'Error while resetting release of segment Z1EDPZ1' when I click the cancel release inorder to add new fields in WE31.

Hi Sai,
do one thing first cancel the release of the basic type and then cancel the release of the segment.Now add the fields and release both the segment and the basictype.
also check in the segemnt the version.

Custom idoc segment fields not populated

Way back in 1999 someone create a custom Idoc type with custom Idoc segments in it. Unfortunately, they forgot to release one of the segments.
Recently a change was request to add new fields to this custom segment. In order to get the fields transported the segment had to be released.
All worked fine in Dev and the new Idoc segments were populated as expected. However when the idoc segment was moved to the test system all visually appears to be fine but when the idoc is created (status 50) the new fields are not popultated.
In 40B the start of the inbound process was IDOC_INBOUND_DATA. Does anyone know what the new starting point is in 4.7??
I beleive the error is actually that SData is not reading all the input values and stopping right where the old fields end in teh custom segment.

additionally,
SAP will not allow us to release the basic idoc type because it was released in 40B. It also will not allow us to cancel the release since we are now in 620. So, unless anyone has input for this I think the only solution will be to create a successor IDoc type and change our apps to use the new IDoc type with it's enhancements.

Field values directly binded to backend service are getting cleared.

In HCM Forms & Process, for ex: in a form the header field values are directly binded to SAP_PA backend service and rest of the fields (dropdown list and free text fields) are getting from custom generic service. Now there is also a pushbutton in my form is used to calculate percentage of a field. Now when the form is displayed by default the header values are getting populated from SAP_PA backend service. When I click the push button with out selecting values(drop down list) getting from generic service all header field values are getting cleared. But if I select any dropdownlist value before selecting pushbutton and then if I click pushbutton all the header fields are retained with values. I am facing this problem for all the forms that I developed. I am looking for valuable answer.

So you are or are not using a user event? Sounded like you were which was firing when the user selecpiushed the "button" for calculating fields. Whatever "event" you have tied that button too seems to be your culprit. Are you doing this calculation in Javascript off the button "onClick" even or passing it to a HCM P&F "user event" in the backend? If it is to a HCM P&F "user event", that's where I would make sure your fields are selected.
From the sounds of it, it seems when you do NOT select a dropdown list value, your generic service is not handling this gracefully and an error occurs. That would cause ALL other services NOT to run. It's an odd thing the framework does and often very frustrating to hunt down, but whenever any service errors, it will not run others.....hence no fields coming back correctly....even if those other services have NOTHING to do with yours (weird, I know).

Replaced value is not getting relected in IDOC segment field

I am replacing the PO # with Delivery Doc # . But the replaced value is not getting reflected in the IDOC segment field(e1bp2017_gm_item_create-po_number.).
Function Module which I am using is IDOC_INPUT_MBGMCR as a copy.
Here is my code given below:

Check it in debug whether the filed is empty or having po#, when ur code is executed for the replacement. if it is empty, po# is populated after ur code. in this case you need to write the code in suitable place.
