Customer master data table KNVV is missing
Hi All
I a trying to cancel the billing document using transaction VF11. System shows error as " customer XYZ customer master data table KNVV is missing"
Please advice how to proceed?

Hi,
Goto the T.Code "Se11/SE16".
Enter the table name as "VBRK".
Enter your invoice number.Execute.
Check the value of "VKORG(Sales Organisation)","VTWEG(Distribution Channel)" and "SPART(Division)".
Or you check the same in "VF03" screen also.
Make a copy of the above three fields.
Goto the T.Code "Se11/SE16".
Enter the table name as "KNVV".Enter your customer number in "KUNNR" and the values of "Sales organisation,Distribution channel and division" into their respective fields.Execute.
Check if there are any entries.The result should be no entries so that only you will receive this error message.
If you created the customer with out sales area,while creating the order only it will give you an error message as "No customer master record exists for sold-to party XXXXXXX
Message no. VP199".
As the partners are defined in sales area data only.

BP not updating in Customer Master data KNA1
Guys,
I am creating a BP in CRM 7.0. Once the BP is saved & created successfully entry is present in all CRM tables as well as in the ECC side.
But for few cases the Customer Master data Table KNA1, KNVV is not getting updated, i.e no value for the BP in KUNNR.
Any idea as to what should I be checking to resolve this ? Plesae share the config details.
Also do you know how the Customer Master data gets updated ? Is it from the BAdI's or the GenIL class for CL_CRM_BUIL for componenet BP ?
I checked the methods of this dedicated GenIL class in hope to find an RFC for updating KNA1 but not successful. Is the RFC call made in BAdI ?
Tough to replicate the scenario as wheneevr I do BP gets updated in SD. But sometimes in PROD it does not happen so.

Put a breakpoint in FM COM_BUPA_MAIN_INBOUND_ISU in ECC system. Inside this FM it first create customer using FM PI_BP_PROXY_BAPI_CUSTOMER at line 187.
IS_CUSTOMER flag you can find in b-doc structure LS_BP_EXTERN-CRM_DATA-SALESCLASS-DATA-IS_CUSTOME.
Before calling FM PI_BP_PROXY_BAPI_CUSTOMER system perfroms multiple checks if they all went succesfull then you have to debug inside FM PI_BP_PROXY_BAPI_CUSTOMER for finding out the root cause.

Missing Tax information of Customer Master data
Dear all,
I have an error with Customer Account Group. I create a customer account group as Z001 (Domestic customer). After that, I go through Financial Accounting - Account Receivable and Account payable - Customer Account - Master Data - Preparation for Creating Master Data -Define Account Group with screen layout (customers) (also with Define Screen Layout per activities). And for Control Tab, I set all items are optional. But when creating Customer master data for this group, when going to SALE AREA DATA, Tab BILLING DOCUMENT, I found that the Tax information part is missing.
I try to set all items are optional, but can't resolve this problem. Can you help me ?

Try this option you can get the change details clearly
Go to XD03 transaction enter your customer number and other details then go in to the general data from here you to Menu>Environment>Account changes-->Click on All fields now system will give the list of fields which were changed from these list you double click on the single field system will take you to the details of that again you double click on that now system will take you to more details about the changes.

Customer Master Data attributes are missing in BW when populated in R3?

We have got a problem like - Customer Master Data attributes are missing in Business Warehouse when populated in R3.
<b>Eg.</b>
Account Number: 1081202 - No customer clasification. In BW it is not assigned.
Account Number: 2023902 - In BW region field is not assigned, In R3 it shows SA.
No customer clasification, in R3 it shows OP.

go to SE16... enter table KNA1 -- for all customers please note this gives all customers in your client
KNB1 -- for company code wise list
KNVV -- for sales area wise list..
after entering the table press enter ... give the selection criteria.. and execute.. this will fetch you the list of customers

while check the Function module separatly and it working properley and i am able to ctere customer...

I need some confirmations please :
1 . customer master data (cmd) is created at account group and company code level.
So, if a customer is a customer of 3 company codes of a company , 3 customer master records needs to be created where the number range of the customer code being the same and the company code is different and the account group remains the same?
2. A customer can buy from any sales area combination in company code, but only 1 customer master record is created ? If so, 1 customer code is for any Sales areas for a customer?
So, Sales area is data fields in a customer master record and only account group and company code and the customer code are key fields in the definition of customer master record?
Please confirm for me. Thanks.

_Extension of the CMR_
a. If the Customer is buying from under 1 Company Code and multiple Sales Areas then you need to extend the CMR for all sales area.
b. However when the sales areas change the Customer No., General data and the Company code data does not change
While Extending the CMR by changing the Sales Area:
a. In XD01 or VD01 enter the Account Group of the customer which is to be extended
b. Enter the customer no.
c. Enter the New sales area
d. The system will take you directly to the sales area data
e. The Company Code data and the General data cannot be chosen.
While extending the CMR for different company codes:
a. In XD01 or VD01 enter the Account Group of the customer, which is to be extended
b. Enter the customer no.
c. Enter the New Company code
d. The system will take you directly to the Company Code Data
e. The Sales Area Data and the General data cannot be chosen.
While extending the CMR for different company codes and sales Areas:
a. In XD01 or VD01 enter the Account Group of the customer, which is to be extended

Q. Why are there 3 Data Groups or 3 different Tables for one customer?
Ans. Since the Customer is expected to buy in more than one sales area and also in some cases in more than one Company code different data sets need to be maintained but however some data remain same, so to avoid data redundancy you maintain 3 different tables.

Changing Master data table keys
Hello,
I have a custom extractor (built by someone else)on R/3 that gets data from table HRP1001. This extractor contains data I need to implement "job relationships" for HR in BW.
I am trying to extract the data into a master data object on BW. One job in the HRP1001 table (OBJID on R/3) can have multiple relationships (or object types, OTYPE on R/3). However, since the key of the master data for 0JOB is just JOB, OBJVERS, and DATETO (and does not include OTYPE), the load fails due to duplicate records.
Since to modify the master data table for 0JOB would be an SAP mod, I created my own "Z" object from 0JOB. I have been manipulating the /BIC/M, /BIC/P and BIC/Q tables to try to adjust the key to include at least the OTYPE. I can successfully change the key of the Z object's master data to appear as I want it, but the new objects I added as keys are "flagged" after the load fails due to duplicate records. (Checks of each /BIC table are okay and activated changes. Also performed SE14 adjustment of each table)
So my questions are 1) does anyone know of a business content item that for storing this type of data that I have missed? and 2) If not, can anyone recommend how I can correctly modify the key fields of a master data object?

If you want to enhance the key of your master data table, include the infoobject in compounding. All the infoobjects included in compounding will be included in the key of master data table.

Retrieving Dunning Clerk's name from Customer master data
Hi all,
I have to retrieve the dunning clerk's name in report ZRSD0001 (Customer Master Data Report).
There are standard methods to call the subroutine to retrieve the texts for some field like the bank statement text:
PERFORM TEXTFIELD_CALL(RSAQEXCE) USING KNB1 'KNB1' 'XAUSZ' TEXT_KNB1_XAUSZ.
This works perfectly. But it fails when I use the same method to retrieve the dunning clerk's name:
PERFORM TEXTFIELD_CALL(RSAQEXCE) USING KNB5 'KNB5' 'BUSAB' TEXT_KNB5_BUSAB.
So any other standard subroutine that I can use instead of using a sql statement myself ?

Why do you want to use a standard routine for this?? If you know the customer number(KUNNR), Company Code(BUKRS) and Dunning Area(MABER) You can get Dunning clerk(BUSAB) from KNB5 and using this BUSAB and BUKRS you can go to table T001S to get the SNAME which is Dunning Clerk's name.

XD01 assertion failed error while updating customer master data

This is an error when I use transaction XD01 to create customers accounts, If you have any ideas do let me and we'll try it....
The error does not let an BDC or LSMW progress as well. There are also no recent sap notes on the same.
The error is as follow
ASSERTION_FAILED

The ASSERT condition was violated.
What happened?
In the running application program, the ASSERT statement recognized a
situation that should not have occurred.
The runtime error was triggered for one of these reasons:
- For the checkpoint group specified with the ASSERT statement, the
activation mode is set to "abort".
- Via a system variant, the activation mode is globally set to "abort"
for checkpoint groups in this system.
- The activation mode is set to "abort" on program level.
- The ASSERT statement is not assigned to any checkpoint group.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.

I have a company code CG01 with sales organization CTS0 and I want to transfer or extend all the customer master data to another company code CG03 with the sales organization CTS0
The things that I have tried and not work
using xd01, fd15, fd16, fd01, does not wok and gives the error as above

Change the sales organization from CTS0 to CTS1 I am able to post the customer master data, using any of the above tcodes and it does not give any error, however the client wants to sales organization to remain CTS0
So please give me any ideas as per your experience as this transfer of master data has to happen by Monday, else I'll be fried by my boss

When a sales is done through one sales organization, then will the profit/loss be accounted in different company codes. Is it legally allowed in the country, where your customer is doing business? I dont see any other method than removing the assignments in the backend and uploading the data. You can consult a Basis person to find the change logs for the assignment table. In my opinion, removing the sales organization from a company code assignment just for loading a customer master data and then reassigning to original sales org is a crooked method and/or not a professional method.

Impacts in COPA of changing material and customer master data
Dear experts,
In my company we are considering following scenario:
Currently mySAPerp 6.0 is implemented for all modules for the mother company.
We have developed a new global template where there are significant changes versus the existing system, especially in the SD processes. Material and customer master also change significantly in terms of content in the tables/fields and/or values in the fields.
The idea was to build the template from scratch in a new machine and roll-out all group affiliates, but now we are considering the possibility of making an evolutionary of the current system and try to stretch it to the processes defined in the global template.
The scenario we want to analyze is: Keeping same organizational structure in terms of Company code, CO area and Operating Concern in existing SAP client and make an evolutionary of the existing settings to the global template processes.
The doubts we are having are the following:
Changing material & customer master data: Impact in COPA
Option 1: Material master data and customer master data codes are maintained but content in the tables/fields is changed substantially, both in terms of logical content of specific fields and/or the values in the specific fields. We have following examples of changes.
Case 1: source field in material master changes logical content. E.g. Material master field MVGR1 is currently used for product series (design line) and the content changes to be the Market Segment. The product series will be moved to a classification field. At least 5 other fields are affected by this. How can data in terms of COPA line items be converted so that they are aligned at time of reporting?
Case 2: the source field is not changed so that the logical content of the field remains but the values change, i.e. for the same concept there will be different codifications. How can data in terms of COPA line items be converted so that they are aligned at time of reporting?
Case 3: Characteristics where currently the source material master field is a Z field and the derivation is via table look up and where the Z field changes to a classification field. How can you convert the existing COPA line items to ensure that attributes are aligned? Should new characteristics be created or just change the derivation logic of the characteristic?
Option 2: Material master data and customer data codes are re-created (codification of records is changed), meaning that new material and customer codes will exist and content in tables/fields is changed (as in option 1)
Case: material and customer codes are changed. How can data in terms of COPA line items be converted so that they are aligned at time of reporting?
Iu2019ve never phased a similar scenario and I fear that maintaining operating concern while changing source master data and also SD flows (we have new billing types, item categories, sales doc. Types, order reasons) may lead to inconsistencies and problems in COPA.
I would like to ask you experts if you have come across a similar scenario and if from your experience, it is something feasible to do or there are many risks involved. What can be the impact of this scenario in existing Operating Concern for both option 1 and 2 and what would be the key activities to perform to adapt the existing operating concern. What will be the impact of the needed conversions on P&L reporting?

First i think you will need to test if it works for new COPA documents created via billing.
If it works fine then the issue is if you wish to apply these changes to the historical data already posted.
Normally there are transactions like KE4S where you can repost the billing document to COPA
However this may not be viable for bulk postings
You can perform realignment (KEND) but this only works at the PA segment level (table CE4XXXX)

Error during create CR for MDGC "Enter a relevant role for creation of customer master data"
Hello Experts,
I am unable to create a Customer CR in 'MDG 6.1 Customer UI' , the UI throws an error saying "Enter a relevant role for creation of customer master data".It looks like it is expecting me to mention the BP role ( like FLCU01 Customer or FLCU00 FI Customer ) , but I don't see that BP role section in the Customer UI to mention .
While creating the vendor CR , I am able to enter the BP role ( like FLVN01 vendor or FLVN00 FI Vendor ) in the UI BP Role section.
Following are the UI's for Customer and Vendor
Customers BS_OVP_BP: BS_OVP_CU > OVP: BS_CU_OVP - I do not see BP role section here.
Vendors BS_OVP_BP: BS_OVP_SP > OVP: BS_SP_OVP - This is working fine , I see BP role section here.
Please advice what I am missing here , what should I do for the successful CR creation . Should I change the UI for Customers or do I need to do anything in CVI configuration.

You were right in the first place the UIBB is missing , the UIBB 'Role' was present in the 'Search Customer' page but not available in the 'Create Customer CR' page , so I created the 'Role' UIBB again and was able to create the CR now . Not sure how it got deleted in the first place , is there any options where we reset the UI screen to the default initial configuration
But after approving the CR , only the Business Partner BP is getting created and the Customer is not getting created . Not sure what might be the issue now. Is there any config that tells to automatically create customer when BP is created. I was able to create Vendor using the create Vendor CR before.

Change Logs for customer master data in 3.1 H version
Hello All
Are they any existing reports or change logs for viewing changes to customer master data in 3.1h version. I want to be able to report based on changes made to customer master.
I know there is a good report in 6.0 version for this- S_ALR_87012182.
If I have to develop a custom program for this in 3.1h. Which table I should use? KNA1 or CDPOS.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

Please check the filter settings maintained for the adapter object CUSTOMER in R3AC1. The same filter settings can be referred in tables Table: CRMFILTAB (R/3) and SMOFFILTAB(CRM) as per srinivas's reply.
Check the sales area of the customer maintained (Sales Area, Division, Distribution Channel etc.) and see if the current filter settings are restricting the customer from getting replicated in CRM. If everything is maintained fine then check for any failure Bdocs in SMW01 or SMW02.

Dual Control for Vendor/Customer Master Data
We can set Dual Control for Vendor/Customer Master Data. I have set it. According to the cycle, I have customized sensitive field, and make changes in Vendor/Customer A/c. Here the changes will be confirmed by other user who is authorised to confirm the changes. In this scenario, I would like to know, can we avoid this confirmation once we have actived? If, no than how could we confirm the changes and where can we set authorisation?

No, You cannot avoid the dual check if You activate it. Another user by FK08 has to confirm the changes.
Then You can delete the field for the dual control into the table T055F and no check will be done in the future.
