Actually the requirement is the client want that Equipment number must be the same as the Work Center Code, and Work Center code which i have decided is something like 0101001 & if i give the external no to the Equipment then the system doesnt take the same number instead it takes 101001 i.e. it ignores the initial "0" in the work center code. Actually I wanted to see the no range from where the work center numbering is being picked up, but later on i came to know that there is no such no range setting for work center instead it has contol from no range for object type. Shall look forward to your valuable inputs & guidance.

ALE/iDoc for Work Center data transfer

Hello, community.
I am working on several interfaces for the PP and PM modules using iDocs/ALE.
One of the requirements is that only created and modified data must be distributed from R/3.
For Work Centers, we are using basic type LOIWCS02 and message type LOIWCS. We are generating iDocs through transaction POIM, which has two transfer modes: Complete (data for all Work Centers etc.) and Change (only new and updated data).
The Change Transfer Mode assumes you have set both Change Pointers and Change Documents for the objects to be transfered. Otherwise, it'll work just like the Complete Transfer Mode.
Our PP consultant told me there is no configuration to generate Change Documents for Work Center data modifications.
Can anybody give me other opinions? I'll resort to Z-table solutions only if I have no other options.

Standard Batch Input Programs for Profit Center Creation

Dear all;
I am in 4.0B version that doesnt have BAPI_PROFITCENTER_CREATE. Writing a BDC for this would be complicated as my data is compiled in a different way.
Are there any Standard Batch Input Programs for Profit Center Creation ?

User Exit or DB-Table for Work Center (CR01)

Hi!
I have an external software which must be triggered when the user changes a work center in SAP (transaction CR01,CR02). I was looking for an user exit to do what ever is necessary but I couldn't find one.
So, does anybody know an user exit or BADI for work center?
Also possible:
The database table where work center are stored. So I could poll against this table and check if a work center was changed. I found the table SGOSHIST which log all modified objects in SAP. So this could maybe used to check for modified work center, I think.

How can I check this BADI. If I use SE18, it doas not exist, buit if I try to create it, the system tells me that it already exists in the SAP Original System... and asks me if I want to create a copy of it! I don't know what to do at this point!

I know, but if you change the description of the work center, it is stored in CRTX. there are a lot of CR* tables. It would be helpful to have a table which is updated every time a work center is modified!

Tables for routing (for work center)

hi friends,
I am doing report on routing but i did not get value for work center i got tables CRHD CRCA CRCO CRHH CRHS CRTX KAKO KAZY .
i try to get result by using link with PLPO and PLKO.
in TCode CA03 when i see the technical attributes it stors the dat ain structure PLPOD but i am unable to use it.
kindly can anybody tell me how to work center.

Change log for work center data

Hi,
I was looking for the table where the change header document for the work center is stored.I was able to find a transation CR10 which shows the changes and also the database table CDHRD.
When I am trying to view the changes that were made to the work center I find that the data does not exist in the tables.
I was curious to know this as for some transaction the data is being logged in their respective change table but not for Work Center changes.
Can anyone tell me as to why this is happening.
What I think is that some changes to the configuration are required in order to log the changes in the database.

Thanks for the information.
However i have another question.
The change table will have data only when it is activated in the configuration menu.
However is there any other way by which we can capture the previous data for the work center e.g. the changed by field. I want that the names of the users who has changed the wrok center currently and the name of the person who previously made changes to it.

Tried on SAP-Market place for help.Suggested not to use PWLC.

Screen-exit for profit center creation - transaction KE51.

Hi All,
Background: The client has the requirement of importing profit centre master data from legacy system into SAP ECC system. Few of the legacy data could not be filled into existing sap fields, hence the requirement has been to populate the data into custom fields.
The client also has the requirement, that the same fields are required during online entry. For this we need to enhance the profit centre creation screen (transaction code KE51) with two additional custom fields.
Requirement: To enhance profit centre creation screen with custom fields. Screen-exit for KE51 transaction.
Pre-work: Program SAPLRKPM in SAP ECC system is the main program. It does not have any screen or sub screen area for custom fields addition. Debugged the program to check for screen-exits, found none.
Below user-exits are not either screen-exits or cannot be used for enhancing profit center screen.

PCA00003 Derive Partner Profit Center for External Deliveries

The requirement is to display custom fields on standard sap screen and there are no screen-exits. So, i suppose the standard screen has to be modified.

May be you should consider maintaining custom mapping table instead of going for chaning standard.

Creation of person responsible in CR01 (work center creation)

During the creation of work center (CR01). The following details are entered before i get the error message
1) Work center and its description
2)Work center category
3)Usage
4)Backflush
5)Standard value key
But i am unable to enter the PERSON RESPONSIBLE field (Message is NO VALUES SELECTED MAINTAIN ENTRIES).... if I am selecting yes with this message it is routing me to Choose Customizing project.
Please help me creating person responsible field

then enter on continue w/o specifying project
then it's take u to location
here double on any or PP work center
then new entries
and specify one name here
then back, back & back
now u can get the name here
ADDED
maintain directly in T-code OP10

this should solve ur query

LSMW for Work center text

Hi Experts,
Im developing LSMW to upload the Work center text(TCode CA10).
I did tried on Direct input -> program /SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_IMPORT_TEXTS in LSMW. The uploading process was done successfully but it can not be used in Master Recipe assignment(TCode C202). Reason due to the direct input program doesn't has Work center short text. FYI, the Work center short text is entered during the Work center text creation via CA10 first screen.
And i did tried on CA10 manually, work center text only can be used in TCode C202 when it is created with short text key in at CA10 first screen. While for the Work center text that created without short text key in, system will prompt error when i try to assign the Work center text into C202.
Thus, i may need you advice. In LSMW other that direct input,is there any BAPI or IDOC available for the Work center text upload?

I did tried on FM SUBMISSION_PROCESSING, and found:
It is being trigger online, whereby i need to key in the text manually.
Since my requirement is mass upload, hence that is impossible for me to execute the FM to key in the text manually.
Do you know there is any other FM/BAPI/IDOC that can perform the Work center Short and Long text in background mode?

PP costing Formula for work center

Hello Experts
I am having issue to set up formula for given below case,
I have on my work center three parameters, x time (unit: Hr) and   Y Power (unit:kw).
i want to multiply both the parameters and get the answer in terms of energy Z (unit: kwh) paramenter.
so i already define activity type unit with KWH.
for example:
From Routing:
work center: 1111,
x: 10
Y: 20
so Z= X*Y
       = 10hr * 20kw = 200kwh
So which would i apply formula for all 3 parameters to get result 200 kwh? Do i need to assign 3 different formula to X,Y,Z   or   1 formula direct to Z?

Dear Nixal,
Assume this 10 hours is for some base quantity and this value gets changed based on operation(order quantity) means,you can
check with standard SAP formula SAP006 = Machine * Operation quantity / Base qty.
In case if the duration 10 hours is for any operation quantity means,then there is no relation between base quantity and
operation,so you have to assign a formula which has only duration alone.
Likewise you can decide and select the suitable formula and use the formula key in the costing tab to calculate the cost based on
the formula selected.

My question is . In one work center machine capacity category 2 machines are used. Client is asking the report machine wise. i.e as 2 machines are available .What is the capacity utilisation for each machine.Provide me the information for this. Thanks in advance

Hi Kalyan
you have to make some settings in production order & work center first.
In work center capacity header ,you have to make indiovidual capacities as 2.
In the same capacity header screen by going through the menu Goto--->individual capacitities define these different individual machines.
In the production order operation detail screen goto " capacity reqmt assignment " assign the quantities for different work centers.
Adfter this in the confirmation CO11N you have to fill the split field accordingly& confirm different wortk centers seoperatley.
Then you can the report in the CO14 for diferent work centers.
