"CUSTOMIZE LOCAL LAYOUT" missing in iView

Hi all,
I created a SAP transaction iView for PO create(me21n).
For PO create we have "Customize local layout"(It is the last one in the tool bar) option in ECC6.0.
I couldn't able to get that option through iView.
Do we need to make any setting changes or won't we get it through iView?
Appreciate your help.

Customize Local Layout in SAP R/3 Web GUI?

We are using IC WebClient with a link to R/3 4.6c for order entry. The users want to be able to have the same control in the R/3 Web GUI that they do in the native R/3 GUI (eg. automatic tabbing at end of field). In native R/3, this is controlled via the 'Customize Local Layout' icon on the toolbar, but this icon does not exist in the Web GUI. Does anyone know if this kind of control is available with the R/3 Web GUI?

Per OSS - "Differently from SAPGUI, Web UI is built in a navigator envinronment (Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari...). Thus the requested functionality depends on the browser, not on any SAP setting.
To my knowledge, this feature is not available in Internet Explorer, butyou can always write a simple Java routine that does the job. I found an article that you can use to start your investigation. Please, check it here:

it will be avaliable, after you press Alt+F12, you get a menu bar displayed , in that 3rd option is SET COLOR TO SYSTEM

Unable To Print Right Justified from Customize Local Layout (Alt+F12)

Hi,
Problem I am having is giving me nightmares. I am able to print hebrew text abap list in sap 4.5b. But when i change the Character Set of language from "Customize Local Layout" (Alt+F12) to Hebrew (Right Justified) the preview shows up correcctly. But when I print from an actual printer, it still shows output as (Left Justified). Can someone please help!!!!!!

Apologies for replying late. The printer is unicode enabled however, since we are on a non-unicode version of SAP (4.5b) it wouldnt really matter. We are printing Hebrew language. Its always coming out as left justified. We want it to print right justified.

Customizing of local layout: How to modify client dependent colour settings

Dear Collegues,
I hope you can help me with the following requirement:
I am looking for a solution on how to set the the colour on a system that is supposed to vary for each client.
Modifying the new visual design in the menu customize local layout (Ctrl+F12) is valid for the complete system but does not allow to distinguish between its clients.
Now how can the settings be made client dependent - if possible at all?

Im testing a service contract but the following error is shown:

Diagnosis
A series of data, including the local currency, is required for pricing. However, this was not given when pricing was called.

In fact the problem was the sales organization, this was the place where the Local Currency was missing.
SAP Note 1294039 - Longtext missing local currency
After correcting the missing value, pricing determination was performed.

Is is possible to adjust the local layout (GUI settings) from abap program?
Ex. Local layout --> options --> cursor settings --> (cursor position) Automatic TAB at Field End

It's stored in registry of the local PC. I never tried, but with methods REGISTRY_SET_DWORD_VALUE & REGISTRY_SET_VALUE of class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES you might be able to set it.

Yes.
I already reverted all deletions. But it seems to me that the studio didn't revert correctly. I deleted 2 applications inside a wd component. After revert, the studio just recreated the folder but not the file with .wdapplication extension. But i'm not sure if this is really the problem.
Do you know if there is any log file which file the studio is missing? That kind of troublemanagement is really no fun at all. There has to be a log file just like the build log files, right?
I mean, a can't believe that there is none.

HI all,
I try to create a customer lay-out for my iView. When I search over sdn I find a lot about how to create a tag lay-out for your iView. I followed the instructions in the blog and sap help and I up loaded the created par file in the portal. What next. I can not find any sample or instructions how to combine my new created layout to my iviews. Can some one explain this to me?

Hard Copy function in Customized Local layout ( Alt +F12) on tool bar

Hi Experts,
In SAP, the last button on the tool bar (i.e Customized Local layout - Alt + F12) use to automatically print a copy of the current transaction on screen when we selected the u201CHard Copyu201D command.
But now, when we select u201CHard Copyu201D a screen comes up as if to save as a file. How can we change so as to automatically print?

This is because of incorrect print configuration.
Goto,
From any report program select:
Program-->print. In the print list screen window , click on properties.
check whether these values are there in correspodnign field .
1.Tome of printing -- print out immediately
2.format -- x_65_132.
3.sppol request -- (any name with RS).
4.SAp cover sheets -- default settings .
5.os cover sheet -- default setings.
6.New sppol request --- yes

Local Workbooks Missing under Favorites

Hi BW Gurus
We have upgraded to NW2004S SP12 and found old workbooks(local) are missing (under favorites) even after activating Personalization in BEX (SPRO).
The workbook tables has all the local workbooks in the corresponding tables(RSRWBINDEX,RSRWBSTORE) but it is not displaying when you click on Favorites in the BEx for WORKBOOKs.
I never faced this issue with SP7 & SP9.
I really appreciate if someone can share their knowledge or solution.

Thanks for taking your time to reply to this message.
I looked in to the table and these are my findings.
SMEN_BUFF has zero records
SMEN_BUFFI has 15 records
SMEN_BUFFC has >400 records.
The userid who complained about missing workbooks has couple of entries in
SMEN_BUFFI & SMENBUFFC tables.
Can you please explain me what are these tables ? and what should i look for ?.

Start Screen Layout missing icon

One of the program I pinned to the Start Screen is missing. The program that's missing is the Opera browser. I created a custom start screen layout with all the programs I want in different namegroups. I put the AppsFolderLayout.bin file in the Default profile.
I am preparing a Windows 8.1 image. I do this so all users can have the same Start Screen layout. The first time I did this, it worked fine. I logged in as new users in the computers and I see all the programs I pinned to the Start Screen.
Right now, I'm doing the exact thing for a new Windows 8.1 image. I placed the AppsFolderLayout.bin file in the Default profile. I logged in as a new user and many. The Start Screen is empty, other than the Desktop and Computer tiles, since it's a new
Windows install, The programs that are pinned are not installed yet. When I install the programs, the tiles will populate to the Start Screen. All of them worked, except for the Opera browser. The Opera browser is not showing the Start Screen. I made sure
the program is pinned before I exported the layout. The program is installed for all user.
I checked the program is installed when I log in as different users. I
even deleted the user profiles that was installed on and logged in again, the icon is still not there.
Would a new version of the browser cause this issue? I even installed the version I had when I first had it working and it didn't work. Let me know what would cause this issue.

Please use the command “get-startapps” in powershell.
We have tested. Every time we reinstall the Opera, the AppID will change.
The AppID is the identifier of app. If it changes automatically, the Operating System can’t customize Start screen by different AppID.
Please refer to the following article to customize Windows 8.1 start screen.

If you change the AppID in xml file to match the ID in the PC you want to customize Start screen. The Opera will show out.
