Customizing lookup window

Hi Friends,
Is there any possible way to display custom fields created in the lookup window which opens up when clicking on the link fields?I can see only a set of default fields displayed there.In Service Request-> Product Name lookup window , I can see only Product Name,Product category,Status and Description.But I want to add my custom field also to this list.Is it possible?

Hi,
It is possible. You can add any field to the lookup window. You need to go to 'Application Customization' > 'Product' > and then to 'Product Search Layout'. There you will define both the search results setup and the lookup window in step 3. Don't forget to associate the search layout to the relevant roles after you are done.

Michael, at this time you can not modify the number of products per page. I would recommend that you submit a enhancement request to CRM On Demand customer care.

Customize Lookup Window of Related Information

Hi,
I added Custom Object 2 as related information to contact record.
When I click on ADD button a lookup window pops up and shows me all the values available on Custom Object 2.
Is it possible to customize this lookup window? there are many unnesseccary fields there...
Another Question - Do you know why there is no ADD button when inserting Custom Object 4 as related information to contact? is it possible to add this button somehow?

About the way to customize the Lookup window - I did exactlly what you said, but for some reason it only affects the way the lookup window is shown when I put Custom Object 2 as a field inside the contact layout. BUT when I put is a related information to contact and pressed ADD - the lookup window was still with the default fields (it is a bit different lookup window that allows you to choose few objects from left side to right side)
Do you know if there is a different way maybe, to customize those kind of lookup windows?

Master data lookup windows

I am building custom screens in web dynpro that writes to ODS table in BI.
I have few fields such as Customer Master and Profit Center user has to select in that custom screen.
For now I manually created another screen, which brings up the customer list, that I pop up from screen 1 to select a customer. I am doing similarly for Profit center and other lookup fields.
I have two questions.
1. Is there a way to directly get those lookup screens and use in my custom screen without manually creating them.
2. If I cannot do that, another issue I am facing is, I have another application where I need similar functionality for screens in that application, I am ending up creating another lookup window. Is there a way to reuse windows that I created from one application in another application.
How do we modularize those common lookup windows that can be used across multiple applications.

Problem in displaying customized flex window.

Hi I've created a customized settings sub-window, with an AIR application and facing a problem in displaying it more than one time from the application, i.e for the first time i select option from context menu then the settings window is displayed but if i try for the second time it doesn't come again. The code is attached for the called function where 'toastWindow_2' is the refrence for customized settings window:

Hi there,
A fast suggestion would be to use the debugger and see what's happening. Note down the stuff that is changed when you first click the button and the window opens and see if the stuff is the same the second time ( or if the method is even triggered ). In such situations, the debugger is your best friend.

How does one create LOV Map between 2 fields for custom lookup mapping

In Internet Expenses, Expense Report Line Detail we have two unrelated fields; namely Expense Location & Tax Code.
The requirement is to map a default tax code to locations; basically when a user enters Expense Location then the mapped tax code value should default into field Tax Code.
The location-tax code mapping is stored in a custom lookup (FND_LOOKUP_VALUES).
My question is how does one go about implementing this? For example is it possbile to create a new (hidden) LOV based on the lookup mapping & then create a Personalization LOV Mapping between the 3 LOV... Or is it necessary to modify the Tax Code drop down Message Choice in JDeveloper? Of course details are appreciated!
FYI below is the relevant Personalization Structure from "Personalize Stack Layout: (NormalDetails)".

Hello all
The correct & supported method is this:
Extend the location LOV in JDeveloper & add a "default tax" attribute, this could be derived from a new location DFF storing the default tax code for each location. Now simply create a location Personalization LOV Map which takes this new location lov tax attribute & target it to the tax message choice field.
That's my 2c worth anyway, so please give comment if you feel there is a better way.
There is just one more little problem however... The requirement has changed! Now we require the tax code to default according to not one location field, but other fields too. For example if the user selects Expense Type of Beverage & Location of Netherlands then Tax Code should be NL19%, for Expense Type of Hotel then it should be NL6%; if the user ticks "Missing Receipt" field then it should over ride all others & set the code to NL0%.
Any ideas?

Realm not shown in jdeveloper human workflow Identity Lookup window

I have a BPEL process with a human task. When a configure the human task and bring up the identity lookup window, select my SOA managed server, I get jazn.com in the realm list but the domain security realm's name is "myrealm" and does not show up in the pulldown realm list. I have the Red Hat LDAP configured in the security realm, and the admin server sees the LDAP users.
I saw a similar thread that mentioned the managed server hostname must be specifiied fully qualified. I modified the hostname configuration for my managed server to include the FQ hostname and this did not fix the above decribed problem.

I understand in R16 there is a Dynamic Lookup window, i.e we can customize the lookup window. can anyone shed some light about this feature.

Change the default entity in the lookup window in PhoneCall Form

I'm trying to write a javascript to change the default entity in the lookup window for the 'from' field to use the Contact entity. Right now Account is the default entity.
So this is what I have:

Chitra.to localize ADF-BC you need to set the jbo.default.country and jbo.default.language property to language value in Application module configuration
other way is to override the prepareSession method in ApplicationModuleImpl class to call some JDBC statement to set the dbms_application_info.set_client_info to value of the language.
if you can provide more details about your lookup table and data structures then one can be more helpful

We are doing the below code to open a popup but while clicking on name link its postback the page and not opening the popup in first click but opening in second click.The same issue occurs while navigate to second page using pagination

I believe the issue is that you are not actually searching against the result source you made in step #1.
It's not enough to make a result source, you have to tell the search results web part to use it.
Try this:
1. Go to the Pages library of Search Center
2. Create a new Search Results page
3. Edit the page, then edit the search results web part
4. Change the source for the search results web part to your source
5. Add the page to your Search Center navigation
6. Run the search on that page

Calling Transaction Launcher in custom popup window

Hello Experts,
I am facing a issue. I have to call transaction launcher in custom popup window.
It is working when i am calling transaction launcher in main window. but it is not working when i am trying to call transation launcher in popup window.
I have written the code to call the transaction launcher in DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method of popup view.
Please let me know do i need to do anything extra? I am using CRM 6.0.

In the PopUp you do a followup navigation to the transaction you would like to call:
data: lr_navigation       TYPE REF TO         if_crm_ui_navigation_service.
lr_navigation = cl_crm_ui_navigation_service=>get_instance( me ).
lr_navigation->navigate( iv_link_id         = 'your_logical_link'
                           iv_data_collection = lr_col ).
lr_col is a BOL collection of any kind of navigational data you need, can be kept empty as well.

Creating custom lookup triggers - Is it possible?

Hi,
Can we create our own custom Lookup trigger something similar to " Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS" ? I wanted to create a lookup for a Form (UD_*) . Or can it be done for any other proceess or table ?
Is it possible ? Any guidance would be really helpful.

Do don't need a lookup for your custom form.
just create a process task with [field name] updated and assign an adapter with your desired functionality.
Take a look at the standart processes they allways have tasks like password updated / username updated....

I just begin siebel CRM ondemand and i don't know a lot about it.
I want to create custom lookup functionality to populate custom fields on an On demand page. For example Lookup a Partner Account to the Opportunity Detail Page using the custom lookup. Do anywone know how to do that ?

What i anderstand is that for using web-services to integrate with a website things i need to do:
1. must send
username = xxxx
password = xxxx
to the url = https://secure-ausomxapa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=login
2. Then i will receive a sessionID
3. Then using session id i should be using the web-service WSDL's
But how to do this. You must build a program with what ?
