Dark clouds under screen?

Hi
Basically, i had a problem with my headphone jack, and i sprayed some contact cleaner up the jack, solved the problem, however now my screen has dark water marks/clouds under it, Is there anyway to solve this/dry it out with out opening the ipod (its out of warranty btw) Ive got it underneath my heater for tonight to see if that does anything.. any suggestions?
thanks

You can take it apart and clean the screen.

  • Small dark cloud on the screen

Just found a small dark cloud on my 17" macbook pro c2d, I bought this machine in December.
Initially I thought it's just dust, after cleaning the screen, it's still there... anyway it's fine, if it's any dark characters or picture background there... but if it's white background, or the light-color'd picture, it's horrible, and the dark cloud just happened close to the center of the screen... any time, I'm typing/view the web pages, it looks ugly...
    My questions are :
    1. did anyone has the similar problem w/ their mbp 17" display? (I dont have this problem when I buy it)
    2. I think I'm still in the applecare period? Does it include the display?
    Thanks,
    Michael

Does it look anything like this?

I just got a new 17" MacBook Pro a few moths ago, because I ruined the screen of the 15" I had been very happy with.
So I've been taking really good care of this one, and still this is what I see this morning. I have no idea what it is, I keep it in a very expensive computer-bag each night, and it has never been in contact with moisture of any kind.
I'm very close to tears right now and feel like everything is just ... not worth it anymore, I mean if taking care of your beloved Mac is yielding this result, what the **** is anything worth? I can't afford to get this fixed and Apple will just say I spilled something into it, everything *****!

Okay, I loaded the trial of Photoshop, have Creative Cloud loaded, downloaded Photoshop, trying to open Photoshop, but cannot, do I open it from the Creative Cloud App Screen?

It's not launched from the CC app.
If you have Windows, look under Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CC
If you have a Mac, look in the Application Folder > Photoshop CC

  • Dark spots under the LCD

I've started to notice several dark spots under the LCD of my MBP. I have thoroughly cleaned the surface of the LCD and the spots are certainly somewhere below the surface. Has anyone ever seen something like this before? To the best of my knowledge nothing has been spilled on the laptop. They are around all the edges of the screen.

I don't know what these are, but they could be some sort of a manufacturing defect. Are you under warranty? If so, you should contact Apple about it.
    Good luck!

  • Reverts back to dark gray login screen and will not allow me to login

    HI!
    SPECS
    Retina 15in.
    16gb of memory
    500 gb ssd.
    OS - Mavericks
    PROBLEM
I can boot up and login to my laptop - no problem. I have my login set up so that my user name appears and all I have to do is type my password.
The problem is when I try to wake my computer or disconnect it from my thunderbolt display. Sometimes, (more frequently as of late) when I wake my computer or disconnect it from my thunderbolt display my computer will revert back to a dark gray login screen and prompt me to put in my user name and password (First of all the login screen that comes up is different than the one that comes up when i boot up the laptop because it requests me to type in my user name). - once I type in my user name and password it will not let me log in. It will clear both the username and password fields and sit at this screen. At this point I am forced to restart my laptop and log back in. I never have any problems restarting and loging in right after booting up.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this? I do not think it is normal for it to just revert to the login screen and then not even accept my login information.
Thank you in advance for all and any help!

First try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

I would bring it to your nearest apple store or AASP and have them look at it.  We can not predict what Apple may or may not do.  good luck.

  • Dust under screen of Qosmio X500

    Hi
I purchased a Qosmio X500 from Saudi Arabia in april last year and Ive brought it to india where I currently reside. Last week while randomly cleaning my screen I noticed few specks of dust within (underneath) the lcd/led panel. This does not hinder my work on the machine, nor do I face any other performance issues. but the very presence of these dust particles beneath the gorgeous 18" screen is becoming an eyesore.
I hardly take the laptop outside or use in harsh or dusty environments. I have an EMEA warranty that's valid upto April 2015 and I was planning to ship the laptop back to Saudi Arabia to get it rectified. Any suggestions on this regard would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and Warm Regards

    Hi
I've taken my laptop to the authorised service center in Jeddah and they claim that the dust under screen is completely my fault.
The technicians say that it will cost me 1600 Saudi riyals to get the screen replaced even though its under warranty which is really unfortunate becuase the laptop has never be taken out of the office and there is hardly any dust in the room.
Iam a very careful user and in the last two years there is no a single scratch on this device.
Is there any place I can sent a mail to escalate this issue and get it rectified at least under goodwill or even if I have to pay the service charges.

  • I restored my non functioning ipad to factory settings on itunes and I can see the ipad on itunes but the screen is still showing nothing but a very dark blue/black screen. Can I correct this myself?

Ipad won't turn on. when you press the home/on button the screen lights up a little to a dark blue/black screen.
I've forced it into recovery mode, restored it to factory settings on itunes. I can now see it on itunes but nothing is coming up on the ipad.
Can anyone offer any advice as to how I can fix this.
    Thanks.

  • Light Room 4 and dark circles under eyes

How to get rid of dark circles under the eyes?

    probably: +exposure -highlights +shadows
    maybe (also): -contrast
If need be, you can bump clarity (and/or vib/sat) to make up for pizzaz lost by dropped contrast.
Consider applying locally if problem is confined to eyes...
    Cheers,

    Please try below steps :
Open Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the Settings button at the right rop corner, go to Preferences -> General Tab -> Settings and uncheck "Launch at Login" option.
    Or
Navigate to System Preferences ---> Users and Groups ---> Login Items
You should see Adobe Creative Cloud in a list. Check the box to prevent it from loading at start up.
For  You have been  signed out error :
First trash opm.db file and try to sign in .

I have a problem when iPhone 5 includes the camera in the dark on the screen appear mlenki point that wink. what is it?

I still don't have any idea what caused the problem. It didn't go away when I re-synced. However, when I completely shut down the iPod (64GB Gen4) by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button until it gave me the red 'slide to turn off' control, and then rebooting it from scratch the problem went away.
It looks like there was some conflict between the system and the app that is going to be quite difficult to find. If it happens again I'll try to be more observant of the conditions and report more information.
