Data for a node in Hierarchy not displayed in BEx report.

I have a time dependent hierarchy on 0ORGUNIT. There is a report which displays employee wise, ORGUNIT wise data. This report is based on a Infocube which also has 0ORGUNIT updated in it as a charecteristic.
When i view the contents of the cube for a particular orgunit (5000397), employee (5980) for a particular time range (01.01.2011 - 16.01.2011), it gives me some data. However when i execute a report in BEx (7.0) with the same restrictions; it shows 'No applicable data found'.
In the query designer I have corectly assigned the hierarchy properties to 0ORGUNIT with the hierarchy name, version and date (last date of the user entered time range). Also the hierarchy has been uploaded with the latest data i.e. for orgunit 50000397 there is an entry for the period: 01.09.2009 - 31.12.9999.
Can you please suggest.

Can you check and make sure..that there are no other Global filters in the Query Design..

Hello Experts,
I ran a bex report. In that report KF some NetsSalesValue has not displayed in the BI Report for all the Sales Organiations where as other KFs has displayed the value for all the Sales Organizations.
For that i checked my end. BI report is pulling data from Cube --> Multiprovider --> Bex Report.
I myself checked KF value into Cube level, multiprovider KF level value is avaialable.
And also i checked, in the query properties is there any filters, RKF, CKF, but...i found the KF is a basic KF.
And also..i checked the whether the rollup has happened..properly or not and ran the query but no use.
For your info upto 3 days..back KF value has presented in the report. After that only this issue has encounterred.
I am in confusion where the exact issue will be.
If any body faced this kind of scenario is your project, kindly reply me.
For any more clarifications i will respond you immediately.

check aggregates,index etc for cube
check key figure selection as well in Multiprovider for respective Infoprovider
just create test query on Infoprovider and then on Multiprovider and see..
Check RSRT - regenerate the query
also see there are various options like execute+debug has ....just check them

0GLACCEXT hierarchy nodes description ( text ) not displaying

Hi Gurus,
I have uploaded 0GLACCEXT hierarchy from ECC system in to BI 7.0. I can only see the hierarchy nodes in the RSH1 and in the reports as well for 0GLACCEXT.But I am not able to see the hierarchy nodes description like under Expenses > salaries , wages , housing etc .....only its GL accounts is displaying like 700100 , 700200
I also uploaded Text datasource ( 0GL_ACCOUNT_TEXT ) for 0GLACCEXT , the text is loading without any problem but the changes are not being reflected in the RSH1 and the reports.

Thanks for your reply , the text for 0GL_ACCOUNT is displaying fine , I don't have any issues with 0GL_ACCOUNT , my main concern is I'm using Financial Statement item 0GLACCEXT for Balance Sheet and P&L Statement (for period accounting) by using Virtual Cube 0FIGL_VC1 the Text is not displaying in the reports as well as in RSH1 , where as for 0GL_ACCOUNT the hierarchies and text are working and displaying fine.
I'm closing this thread , the problem has been solved
it was related to mappings in Transfer rules.

Hierarchy Node Variable is not displaying full list of Hierarchy

Hi,
I loaded Hierarchy to an info object using flat file.
When i created a test reports and settings to display of MAster Data of Char and executed the report
The output displays full list of Hierarchy
Now to have a User Entry on Hierarchy ...created a Hierarchy Node variable and executed the value help of Hierarchy Node variable is not displaying fill list of Hierarchy ...its only displaying first 15 entries in Hierarchy.
I changed the settings of variable...etc but couldn't get the Hierarchy full list in User entry selection
How can i fix it...

If anyone has the same problem, I think I found the reason when transported to production.
BW7.3 (at least) can not show the hierarchy nodes if there is no transactional data loaded.
So do your hierarchies only after the data has been loaded..

Dear Experts ,
While trying to use the Transfer Order and trying to determine the storage type this error appears :
Data for storage type search is not defined (A   )
Message no. L3007
Diagnosis
Information on the storage type search has not been defined.
How ever , I have already configured the search and here is the Storage Type search's data in OMLY
1. Warehouse number : W10
2. Operation : A "Stock Removal"
3. Indicator :   E
4. Stock Category : Blank
5. Special Stock Category : Blank
6. Storage Location Ref :10
7. Storage Type : 10E

Hello,
The storage type in which you want to place the material or pick the material from has not been defined in the storage type search sequence.
You need to define the search sequence in customization so that storage type is determined automatically when the transfer order is created;
SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Warehouse Management>>Strategies>>Activate Storage Type Search
In this go to determine search sequence and then
for warehouse number W10, operation as stock removal 'A' and in this maintained the relevant the storage type (10E) so that it is determined automatically.

SAP does not know where to put the material.
You usually enable SAP by defining storage type indicators, that you maintain at the putaway and picking indicator fields in material master.
then you setup the storage type search based on this indicators.
SAP can then know in which storage type it shall search for a space to store your material.
As a first step check whether you missed to enter this indicator in your matrial master WM view

BEx hierarchies not displayed in Crystal report parameters

Hi All,
I am trying to using a Bex query that has a cost center hierarchy with a variable that allows users to select specific nodes or even cost centers. In BEx reports, this query works fine and gives the users the view of the cost centres in a hierarchial manner. However, in Crystal reports, the query provides a drop down menu displaying a simple list of all the cost centres (not in a hierarchial manner). This confuses the user as to which element is a node and which is a cost centre
Kindly suggest how can we achieve the cost centre hierarchy to appear in the parameters in Crystal.

'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.

Hi Experts,
My Requirement:
Need to display the 'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.
Right now we are using the Functional modules 'GET_STKO' & 'GET_STPO' for the header
& the components respectively. The report gives the correct output for the all the BOM alternatives
which exist. But for the BOM alternatives which have been deleted(updated in STKO-LKENZ)
'Valid to' dates are displayed as'00/00/0000'.
(Note:ECM is used for BOMs)
Is there any Logical Database that I can fetch the 'Valid to' dates of both BOM Header & components
which are deleted?

Dear Mahesh,
In my understanding I dont think you cannot get the valid to date for BOM header,unless a ECN,(engineering change number) is
used to set the deletion flag.In otherwords none of the business sets for all these BOM's the valid to date(which means the
default valid to date 31.12.9999 is taken).
Check with this FM, CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 whether can you get the valid to date for the components(infact here also the
valid from date given in the input screen impacts the report output).
Check and revert back.

0.00 is currency not displaying in ALV REPORT......

Hi All,
There is a currency field in the internal table which is not displaying only value 0.00 if the value is 0.03 then it is displaying in ALV.
I have checked the Internal Table passed in the FM: REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY but it is carrying the value 0.00. But while displaying it is not displaying in the report.
I have also checked the Field catalogue there is no such conditions mentioned.

while handling witht eh currency fields make sure that the following are taken care of
in the field catalog use:
gs_field-datatype = 'CURR'.
gs_field-inttype = 'C'.
also the following
fieldcatalog-no_zero = 'X'. should be taken care of otherwise it will not display the zeros appearing in the final internal table for ALV display.

why not have a webtemplate with tabbed interace and use that webtemplate to create BWP iview?

hello,
Check if you are able to view your hierarchy in the infoobjects tab in RSA1->modelling.
If yes, then in your query designer, select the infoobject on which you have created hierarchy.Go to hierarchies tab and select your hierarchy in your drop down list.
The values may come as # if there is not data in the IC for these nodes.Do check for the same in IC.

Bit strange requirement. But if you have data in Cube and automatically its will be available for Reporting. unlike ODS, we do not have option of "Automatic request activation".
However on repoeting side, you can restrict the values to # and exclude everything from slection. But not good solution as such.

we have used virtual cube 0figl_v10 for our report in order to get the 0glaccext hierarchy
we have loaded the hierarchy and we see it is fine when seen through maintain hierarchies
but when in bex report we are not able to seee the hierarchical display of the kf values
we have loaded the hierarchy with idoc mode is it right or should we load in psa..
however we see the hierarchy display is fine..
but the problem is at the report level.
we have activated hierarchy in the 0glaccext properties in query designer
any suggestion

Use cellular data for iTunes Match & Radio but not app Updates

Is there any way to set an iOS device so that it will allow using cellular data for iTunes Match and iTunes Radio but not downloading app Updates. I want to be able to set my wife's phone so that the apps are automatically updated over Wifi but she can then use iTunes Match and iTunes Radio when she is out. She only uses those in limited capacity so I am not too worried about her using up her data plan with those. However, app Downloads seems to be quite large, and they happened a lot recently when they all updated for iOS8.

No, but you could turn off Updates under Automatic Downloads in Settings>iTunes & App Store, then update them manually when you're connected to wifi.
