Data not reset after 3 days on new billing cycle!!!

My data has STILL not been reset and I'm three days into this billing cycle.  This is very frustrating because, with four people in my family sharing data, I need to be able to track data.  When I called customer service, they said not to worry because they could see (on their end), that it had been reset and that we've only used a fraction of a Gigabyte on this new billing cycle.  I guess it just really bothers me that when I look it up (text DATA, app, website), they all say that we are almost to our 6G limit.  I need to be able to keep track of data without calling customer service and being put on hold for several minutes.  Is this a common problem and is there a way to resolve it? 

I am equally frustrated, last month was my "first month" with the jet pack, got text message alert use 75% of data package had not even use 30%, after being on hold for several minutes I was told oh don't worry accident, system having problems, now 3 days into new month appears we have used more than 1/2 our allowance & haven't even been on our phones or gotten any alerts re:usage. I was totally mislead on speed of the jet pack & have gone to store & called customer service. I have been a Verizon customer for 13+ years but customer appreciation isn't important to Verizon.

    You would most likely need to talk to your carrier to get the answer to that. The carriers that I have used would charge for overages rather than dropping service for the remainder of the billing period but if your plan is different than that you would either need to talk to the carrier or provide more information on the carrier an the plan so someone here who has the same plan may help.

I have been dealing with what passes for customer service for more than two weeks now and NOTHING has been done to fix the problem.     The NYS Attorney General does not handle individual cases against companies. They handle wide spread abuses.

    His office may look into it. Your isolated case will just be added to the others. The Attorney General and his staff clearly state they do not give legal advice.
    You may want to try the NYS Consumer Protection Board who oversee phone service scams.
    The New York State Public Service Commission also has regulatory oversight on cellular and home telephone services.

  • Exceeding data allowance 2 days into the billing cycle

    I'm 2 days into my new billing cycle and one of my iphones on AT&T and another on Verizon have both triggered a warning from the carrier that I am close to exceeding my data allowance on my 2GB data plans.
    I've never exceed with these phones before and I'm unaware of anything new that I am doing with them.
    Both are Iphone 4S's.

    Could be a lot of things.  For example, if you use iTunes Match you might want to check Settings>Music>Use Cellular Data and set to Off to restrict it to wi-fi.  There might also be an email stuck in your Outbox that Mail is constantly trying to send.  You might also check to see if there is a subscribed podcast that is stuck trying to download.  If you are trying to activate iMessage (or FaceTime), perhaps your phone(s) are contstantly trying to send a silent sms to the iMessage activation server.
    Guess I would try force-closing all of your apps and resetting your phone: double-tap the home button, tap and hold any app in the list at the bottom until it wiggles, tap next to all of the apps to close them.  Then reset your phone: hold the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release.  Also check the items above (stuck email trying to send, stuck podcast trying to download, etc.).  If it persists, you'll probably have to try closing all but a few apps, then checking your data usage after a period of time, until you can isolate the offending data hog.

  • IPhoto Not Responding after Migration to new MacBook

    Gang,
    I bought my wife a new White MacBook and I used the Migration Assistant to move her data from her old iBook. Everything went well except for iPhoto. When I opened it for the first time it started updating the photo library but it hangs at around 32 minutes remaining. In the activity monitor it goes red and says Not Responding. It has done this 4 time now even after reboots. Also, the photos did transfer over and can be seen in the Desktop/ScreenSaver Preference.
    Any ideas how to get past this?

    I have deleted the iPhoto Library and replaced it several times but each time when I open iPhoto on the new MacBook it wants to update the library and then after about 3 minutes it will hang. In the Activity Monitor the process turns red and reads (not responding).
    This has been going on for two days now and it is the only thing I can not get working on her new MacBook.
    On the old iBook iPhoto works just fine.
    Any ideas???????

  • My ipod will not reset after several attempts

    I recently bought a new Iphone and have successfully transferred my apps/data from my Ipod Touch (4th generation). I am now trying to "erase all content and Settings" via the settings button. All I get when the screen goes black is the apple logo. NO progress bar whatsoever. I have tried this several times even leaving the device (plugged into a power source) on all night long and still nothing. It simply will not reset. Is there something else I need to do? I have deleted all apps and anything else from the Ipod in hopes that would work but still nothing. It just locks up in the reset mode. Then when I restore it to stop the process most of the deleted apps come back. HELP!!
    P.S. There is no Apple store nearby to help me with this so I'm hoping this forum will.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • Release strategy does not reset after PO change - tried changeability 4 & 6

    After my PO is released, I change the item quantity/price such that the net PO value (increased) is changed MORE than the tolerance % set in the changeability.  I expect that the PO release should be reset but it does not.
    However if my PO value is changed (increase) such that my PO value is now in a different "release bracket/range" -- as it falls into a different release strategy, then the release is reset.
    Could anyone advise me what is wrong?  I tried everything - i tried changeability = 4 and 6. i deleted the whole release class, release strategies and recreated -- nothing.
    According to OSS note 493900 below, it should reset when the tolerance % is breached.
    I'm on SAP 4.7.
    Anyone could advise?

                   strategy,
                -  the new TOTAL NET ORDER VALUE is higher than the old one.
         The total net order value is linked to CEKKO-GNETW for a purchase order,
         CEBAN-GSWRT for a purchase requisition item-wise release and CEBAN-GFWRT
         for a purchase requisition overall release.
         If you have maintained a Tolerance for value changes during release
         (V_161S-TLFAE), the release strategy is reset when the value of the
         document is higher than the percentage you have specified and if the
         document is still subject to the previous release strategy.

    The release strategies are able to be determined correctly when the PO is created so I guess that means its all setup correctly?
    The issue is only with PO change - how to cause the reset when the PO value increases by more than the tolerance %.

    In delivery, the route is re-determined at delivery creation, but if route transit time is different the delivery dates are not affected. It retains the sales order dates.

    Transit Time and Transportation Lead time comes from Route while Pick/Pack time and Loading time comes from Shipping point.
    May be in your case, while re-determination of route, just check if the time is enough to affect the date i.e. more than 24 hrs or so

  • IdeaPad S205: BIOS/EFI menu not accessible after adding a new boot entry using the bcfg command

    Hi community,
    I just got a new S205 and wanted to install Win7 and archlinux in dual boot (GPT formatted SSD).
    Win7 installation worked like a charm. Archlinux worked well aswell, unfortunately i couldn't make a boot entry following this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners%27_Guide#EFISTUB
    So i had to manually create the boot entry using bcfg command in an efi shell:

    The first attempt (I double checked that i got the right filesystem [fs0] and so on) failed and resulted in an automatic reboot. After this I immediately reentered the efi shell and tried again. This time I could create the boot entry.
    Now if I reboot everything seems fine (I can dual boot Win and arch) BUT I cannot access BIOS/EFI menu via F2 anymore. It seems like it just does not exist anymore. How do I get it back? Should I just flash over with the original EFI from the Lenovo download page? I could theoretically do that (I can still change boot order using my arch live medium), but i could not reset EFI prior to flashing... which is always recommended to do.
    So I am - again - pretty stuck with this EFI. I hope you can help and tell me what to do.
    This EFI-Implementation on the S205 must be the worst piece of "engineering" ever.
    Nothing works the way it is intended to... I would not dare to wash my hands clean off any faults, but ADDING a boot entry resulting in a not accessible BIOS/EFI menu... there's just something wrong.

    At least I now know what the problem is:
    It seems like the S205 can only keep 7 boot entries in NVRAM (Can anybody concern?).
    As I already have 7 boot entries:
    adding a new entry using efibootmgr tool does not work (fails without error) and gummiboot doesn't work either. Nevertheless, adding a boot entry (for rEFInd) from within the UEFI shell works, but seems to result in deleting "Boot0000" aka Setup which then breaks my EFI. Breaking meaning that I cannot access it anymore.
    I can however (and did so twice yesterday) flash the original EFI from within Windows and thus gain access to the EFI menu again. Nevertheless this resets my boot entries again so the refind (or gummiboot) bootloader gets deleted again and only Win7 is bootable.
    Now what would be the smartest way to dual boot this system? Which of the boot entries is safe to delete so i could install refind/gummiboot instead? For instance, I don't know where USB FDD and USB CD come from. Can I delete them? Or won't I be able to boot from external CD-ROM or USB drive anymore if I delete them?
    Or would it be best to delete the Win7 bootloader and try to have refind/gummiboot boot it? And will they at all be able to still find the Win7 boot files once I deleted Win7's boot entry? When I install refind as bootloader and manually add an boot entry for it using the bcfg boot add command it is able to load Windows7. But will this still be possible if I delete the Win7 boot entry? It would most likely be possible - I assume - if the Win7 boot files (on the EFI system partition) were still there even after deleting the boot entry. Can someone tell me how deleting a boot entry exactly works and which files get or don't get deleted?

    Syntax
    ASSIGN mem_area TO <fs> casting_spec range_spec.
    Effect
    This statement assigns the memory area specified using mem_area to the field symbol <fs>. You can assign a data object or a memory area calculated from the address of a data object.   • 1st Day with Verizon, not too thrilled. 2-3 Billing Cycles until Employer Discount is Applied.

    Deciding to switch from Sprint, I signed up with Verizon because my employer offers a company discount.  My phones were activated last night and I logged into my account after getting the temp. password via text and signed up for the discount.
    After not noticing a change in the bill for a few hours, I contacted the company's Verizon Rep to ask about this.  I was told the discount would apply in the next 2-3 billing cycles.  This was the entire point of me switching.
    When I signed up with Sprint a number of years back, I didn't have to wait months for this to go through.
    Has this happened to anyone else?  Any tips for getting this applied to my first bill?

    When you first apply for the discount, it doesn't show on your bill because the bill has already been printed (if you are that far).
    When you agreed to the terms and conditions, it does state a few bill cycles, but that it will be applied. you can log in to your My Verizon to see that the discount is showing on the right hand side, it will show your employer and the percentage amount.
    This is normal. It's part of the entire process when signing up. Verizon has to verify the discount when it's applied so it can take 1-4 cycles. Mine showed up after 1 full cycle. So if I started service a week ago, my first bill will not show the discount but my second bill did.
