Database --simple problem 2

if i have this line
String query = "UPDATE DVD SET Info='OUT' WHERE Code='" + DVD_Code.getText () + "'";
and the Code value in my database is set to AutoNumber,how do i get the statement on top without getting a data type mismatch error

getting a data type mismatch errorIt seams that you are trying to put a String into a NUMBER filed. That will not work!
print your query on screen or write it into a file a look at it.
if it is like this:
UPDATE DVD SET Info='OUT' WHERE Code="100"
will not work... because the quotas surrounding the 100 value make it a String value instead of a number
the correct statement would be:
UPDATE DVD SET Info='OUT' WHERE Code = 100
Now 100 is a NUMBER.
