DataGuard setup between Windows XP Pro and Windows 2003 Server - possible?

Oracle 9.2. The documentation says "The hardware and operating system architecture on the primary and standby locations must be the same". I understand that this is recommended setup and it will be much better if it will be setup on EXACTLY same hardware and OS. My questions is - Is it possible to set it up between XP Pro and 2003 Server? Had anyone done it successfully the past?

between XP Pro and 2003 ServerBoth are Win* releases, both are 32bit. So I can't see why it would not work. But I think that certified combination requies that both computers use same O.S. release (XP pro xor 2k3 server).

I believe I have CS2 running on my Win7 Pro x64 desktop system (might be through the XP mode virtual machine, though), but I can't recall the last time I tried to use it.

I was able to resolve my issue once I worked with Microsoft Professional Services. Here are the steps needed to deploy a Windows 8 Store app for anyone else looking for help on this.
Create your app package in Visual Studio

    Sideload key is a product key that is needed to be added to the device so that it can use Windows 8 apps that are not from the Store
    It is not a requirement to have the machine joined to the domain or have Windows Enterprise installed on it. In my case my target was a Windows 8.0 Pro tablet.
    You do not need Windows 8.1 to use sideloading it will work on Windows 8.0 as well
    You can purchase a key from a Third Party Distributor but you will need to know what to ask for
    Ask for a Windows 8 Sideloading Key, Sometimes referred to as a Windows 8 Embedded Sideloading product key
    They cost about $100.00 a pop but they sell them as a Volume License so the minimum you can by is 5.
    However in my case it turned out that my company had an Enterprise Sideloading License, I just needed to know who to ask and what to ask for.
    Once you get your xxxxx-xxxxx- Slideloading key from the distributor here are the steps to installing it on the device (Section 2 Step 3)

IChat setup between my MB Pro and a PC

I'm trying to hook up iChat with my wife's standard issue Dell. I bought a camera for her and she set up the AIM account.
She can see and hear me, but I can only hear her and not see her. I only see myself???
Also, when I invite her, she accepts and then the operation times out on her end and my Mac said she declined. Any help here?

Run iChat on Windows? Given, his description of what he wants to do is not as clear as it could be, nowhere does it say that he is installing iChat on his wife's computer. He is trying to CONNECT to his wife's Dell computer, she has a web-cam and has the ability for video through AIM....
gmirg: I found an article concerning what you are trying to accomplish. I am not sure if this specific article will work but you can always google your issue. If you don't find what you're looking for with your initial search, get more specific with the versions of the OS for each computer and the version of iChat to connect to AIM using video.

Windows 7 Pro and Enterprise and Office 2010 Not Able to re-Activate

In September 2012, I was tasked to provide desktop support for a small <50 seat school that uses a combination of Windows 7 Enterprise and Pro as well as Office 2010 Pro Plus with Volume Licenses purchased through Dell. In May of 2013, it was discovered
that our Microsoft Volume License agreement had lapsed and at the time we could not afford to renew it. In September we purchased a 5 seat license from JourneyEd for Windows 7 Pro and Office 2010 Pro Plus. Also in July 2013, we upgraded and consolidated our
server setup.
In November, we began to see notifications that our Microsoft products were becoming deactivated and needed to be reactivated. When we would try to reactivate, there would be an error message that said reactivating failed with no further message.
I need assistance to determine what is causing our licenses to deactivate and also how to fix this issue.

Leopard / Bootcamp / Vista / Copy Files Between Mac OS X and Windows

On the apple page it says I can copy files from mac to windows?
"Copy Files Between Mac OS X and Windows
Copy, open, modify, or delete files in Mac OS X that you saved to your Windows partition. Leopard understands the Windows FAT32 disk format."
I tried installing Vista in bootcamp, but it says I cannot install in FAT32? So i format it to NTFS.
So here's my question, Can i still copy files between mac and pc, if I format into NTFS or am using vista?

I am quite a simple soul really and very easily pleased.
All I seek is a partition of some sort that I can save all my created work to - whether in XP Pro or OS X 10.5. But it has to be a large partition - probably a single partition on a large drive.
It would be sweeter still for Spotlight to do what it does (and it does on a FAT partition) and sweeter still for Time Machine to be very user friendly and do what it presently does not do and include created files into the TM.
Now that really would be very pleasant. Very pleasant indeed.

Nevermind ... not that simple apparently. I managed to get one of the avi's in the CS5 project created automatically when opening the original CS4 project to show the entire contents but can't replicate the behavior to another project using the same avi. Here are the media start, end, duration and video in, out duration values for the file. Viewing the avi in the source monitor I can see the full 16+ minutes. Odd disconnect between the 2 sets of values.
Any idea would be great!

When I use Firefox the images and logos don't show up clearly/correctly. I'm using Windows 2000 Pro. and just installed Firefox 3.6.6. I'm sure I have the right graphics driver as I'm able to see the images and logos clearly in Internet Explorer. I only have the "default plugin 1.0.0.15" installed. I'm thinking that I'm missing a plugin or add-on of some sort, but I'm not sure which one(s). When I go to "updates" it says there were no updates available. When I go to "Add-ons" it gives a list of Add-ons but I'm not sure which would help my issue. Any help would be appreciated.:)

Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine so the problem seems confined to Windows 7. I've tried solutions from other threads -
Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
Rebooting phone/laptop/router
Disabling ipv6
Disabling all networks except the one curently on
Re-installing iTunes
Restoring iPhone
No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

PDF Forms not opening in Windows 7 Pro and 8

I am having problems with editable PDFs I have created using Mac Acrobat Pro 10.1.13 not opening with editable features. These PDFs open correctly when opened with Mac OSX and Windows 7 home version. They do not work correctly when opened in Windows 7 Pro or Windows 8. I get the following error message in Windows 7 Pro. Any ideas how I can make these forms work on all operating systems will be helpful. This document enabled features in Adobe Reader. Did you try using an independent driver such as robertmc8's PAX driver or Daniel K.'s drivers? I have an old PCI-based Xtremegamer Fatalty Pro with Windows 7 64 bit and I am using PAX drivers. No problems here.

I'm using both Windows 10 TP and Windows 8.1 with sign-in using the same Microsoft account, and have found wallpaper(s) is synchronized between two OSs. When changing wallpaper to black/mono-color on Win.8.1, then that of Win.10 TP gets to be black, vice
versa.
Is wallpaper synchronized between Windows 10 TP and Windows 8.1? If so, can I stop it?
P.S. my PC running Win.10 have two monitors, and the two show the different wallpaper with each other (of course, when using DesktopBackground, not mono-color). That's great.

My question has been cleared. [Settings]-[Account]-[Settings of Synchronization] is the answer.
I made Synchronization On carelessly.
