#datasync error - could that come from merging on fields from fact tables instead of dimensions tables?
I'm reporting out of two universes published by Epic
1. Warehouse - Patient
2. Warehouse - Transactions
I wanted to join two queries based on the primary key for a hospital encounter. Following the tutorial seemed pretty straightforward until I got to displaying data from a merged query.
The table displayed results from Query1, but adding fields from Query2 wiped out all the data in the table, leaving only #datasync in each field.
My workaround to get fields from both queries displayed (see screenshot)
1. Merge queries on *two* fields - primary key of hospital encounter and primary key of patient
2. Create new variable
3. Make variable type Detail
4. Associate variable with hospital encounter key from Query1
5. Set formula equal to a field from Query2
I'm not sure why this workaround works or if what I'm experiencing is a symptom of something larger. Could this workaround be needed because I am merging on fields from a fact table instead of fields from a dimension table?

You have defined merged dimension on 'company code-Key' which is common in both the Bex-queries.
You are able to bring the merged dimension and other objects from Query_ One to report block without any issue but when adding objects from Query_Two you are getting the error #DATASYNC.
In this case objects from Query_One are got sync with the merged dimension object without any issue because they got added first to it.
Similarly when you add merged dimension and objects from Query_Two you find no issue, because objects from Query_Two go sync first.
Once objects from a query(Query_One/Query_Two) got added to a merged dimension, when we try adding objects from other query we get #DATASYNC error. This is because data in the other query is not able to sync with the initial result set, this is a know behavior.
There are two workarounds:
1) Merging all common dimension/characteristic objects: Only merged dimensions data will sync with the initial query, un-merged dimensions/characteristic objects will still give #DATASYNC error.
2) Create detail objects/attribute objects at report level for all uncommon characteristic/dimension objects from query_two referring to merged dimension. Then add these newly created detail/attribute objects to the table block that is having initial query objects with merged dimension, with this you see result set of query_two in the table block not #DATASYNC error.

It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

Regarding jms implementation that comes with reference j2ee server from sun
I have a message bean that is trying to read message off the queue, do something, and put a message on to other queue.
The problem: I am loosing a message.
I have tried both the container managed as well as bean managed transaction.
Is there any bug with the reference JMS server? I am using the SimpleQueueSender that comes with the jms tutorial from sun to send message in a persisted mode. I am running the J2EE server that comes from SUN.
I will post the code if someone is willing to take a sincere look.

AmanI can tell you one thing about JMS, I have websphere MQ Series, Even the product like MQ from IBM have limitation when using 2 phase commit(), it supports 2 PC only when websphere and MQ Series are installed on the same box, So i would not be surprised if there is a bug in reference JMS implementation and you are losing messages even though in transaction. Are you using distributed transaction.

Error could not access a java object field called allowAppDataInServContext after Applying Security
After applying the security patch 12-26 I am getting the error "Could not access a java object field called allowAppDataInServContext". When I removed the update the error goes away. When I read the update it returns.

I'm creating a report from an ACT! Premium 2007 database, and I seem to have hit a snag. A field in ACT! which is labeled "Regarding & Details" seems to be stored as two separate fields in the database. The first, TBL_HISTORY.REGARDING is easily displayed on the report. The second, however, TBL_HISTORY.DETAILS, is an RTF-encrypted Memo field. "No problem," I thought. I could just specify the text interpretation to interpret the Memo Field as RTF. Unfortunately, as soon as I include the field on the report and preview it, I get an error: "Database Connection Error: 'HY010:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Function Sequence Error' ". So, I cancel the preview operation, and remove the field. Everything should work now, right? Wrong. I now get an error: "Failed to retrieve data from database," followed by "Failed to retrieve data from database. Details: HY000:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Connection is busy with results for another hstmt". These errors do not stop occuring on preview until I restart Crystal (effectively undoing my unsaved changes). I then thought that maybe this error had something to do with the fact that it is a memo field. So, I wrote a SQL statement to convert the Memo field to a String. This, however, caused the same errors. So, now I'm stuck. How can I include this field without errors?!?Post Author: ayla1209

Every time I go to Mozilla I get an error message which says "www.netregistry.com.au:443 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided." I have checked wit netregistry and there is not an issue on their end and we determined there is an issue with Mozilla. Could you please advise why this message is coming up. It has only been happening for the past 3 weeks.

How do I get rid of an error message that comes up on opening the Photoshop Elements 8 Organizer?
When I double-click on the Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 desktop icon,
an error messsage appears. The title line says:
OWL ORPHANAGE: PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe - System Error
Then the message ;
The program can't start because CoreFoundation.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
I did deactivate, uninstall, and reinstall the program. Still got this message.
When I click OK the error message flickers, then reappears. I click again, same thing. 3rd click, the message disappears and the Organizer opens.
I can get Elements 8 to open, but why this message first, and is there a way to either download the missing file or just get rid of the message?

It consistently does this when I try to read ABC news and when I try to go to my bank's web site. I am getting real tired of this. This message will pop up over and over even after clicking allow. How do I shut this off it is really annoying.

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

How to merge key field from external source system with SAP R/3 master
Hi,
In SAP BW 7.0 system, our scenario is Master Data for 0GL_ACCOUNT is coming from SAP R/3 alongwith the Transactional data records for standard FI cubes. Then, one more set of transaction data is coming from external source system, a flat file, into another custom DSO(ZDSO_FI), which also has this GL Account field.
This flat file's GL account, GL_file, has to be basically mapped/merged with the standard 0GL_ACCOUNT field so that at the time of loading the transactional data for custom DSO, ZDSO_FI (with transformation mapping GL_file > 0GL_ACCOUNT), system automatically refers to the 0GL_ACCOUNT master data to load these incoming transactional values, from the external flat file system. How can this be done?
To illustrate the scenario, say I have 5 records in 0GL_ACCOUNT, loaded from SAP R/3 into SAP BW-

Now suppose if my flat file has following sample transactional data, to be uploaded in SAP BW ZDSO_FI-

Then after uploading this transactional data in ZDSO_FI (with transformation mapping GL_file > 0GL_ACCOUNT), the 0GL_ACCOUNT data becomes as below-

So note that the system did not refer the incoming GL's from flat file, although the field is mapped to 0GL_ACCOUNT in transformation, to the already available master data. Rather created 2 new data rows for the GL accounts coming from external system. Because of this I am not able to perform the calculations common from standard FI cube and ZDSO_FI, with GL account as key field. I need to synchronise these data values based on GL Account to proceed with further calculation and am badly stuck.
Request if anyone can please throw some light on how to achieve this seemingly simple requirement?

Unable to throw 'Error: A value is required' on a field from bean
Scenario: I have an input text field and a button on a page. The input text is not required initially. I want this to be set to required after the button is clicked. So, I am doing this on the action listener of the button and returning to the page. This just returns to the page but does not throw the required error. The error is thrown the second time I click on the button(No listeners are called this time as the required property is already set). I want the error message to display immediately after clicking the button, the first time(after returning from the bean).
Options Tried:
I used the following in the action listener of the bean
setValueMandatory(true); //Used this as a binding value for the required property on the input field
textValue.setValid(false); //textValue is my input text's binding to the bean

I am able to focus on the field using the cursor but unable to throw the message. Clearly, some form submit or an action need to occur on the page to render the response(or, repaint the page programmatically). But, how do I do this from the bean?

Loans disappear from report after fields from second table are added
We are using Crystal XI. We have two tables from a sequel database we use for the reports, and we always have. Suddenly, we have been experiencing problems with loans being dropped from the reports and we have been trying to isolate the problem. To troubleshoot, I created a very simple report to provide the loan number and the borrower name from Table 1. I did not create any parameters so the report provided the information for all loans in the database. However, when I add a field to the report from Table 2, either all of the loans disappear or the number of loans on the report are drastically reduced.
As another test, I created a report to include just the loan number. The loan number field appears in both tables. I get different results if add the loan number to the report from Table 1 than I get if I add the loan number to the report from Table 2. When I create the report, the tables auto-link with no errors.
I have reviewed all the report options and general options in Crystal and can't find why this is occurring. I have had our IT staff troubleshoot and help me test using older versions of the tables, but we get the same results. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.From what you have described, could it be your table joins? You mention that once you add the second table, records get dropped.
Check your table join, even though it auto links, right click on the link and see if the join is INNER or LEFT OUTER.
If INNER then every loan number in Table 1 should exist in Table 2, LEFT OUTER = every loan number in table 1 will be fetched irrespective of whether it has a corresponding match in table 2 or not.
Check your joins and change them and see if that makes a difference. -

now i have draged sales document(merge), item key (merge) , customer group (query1) conf. status(detail var ). i am getting total #datasync error on all feilds.

Datasync error is coming up because the CustomerGroup1 field is not present in query 2. When you have Merged dimensions on the report layout, you cannot use unmerged dimensions on the layout.
Merge dimensions are used to act on measures from two different queries.
What you can try is:
1. Enable 'Extended merge of dimensions' and 'Auto-merge dimensions' in properties
2. Insert CustomerGrup1 in another table and place it right next to the first table having sales document and item number. However this will affect the results. So based on your requirement, you might have to opt out of this
3. Take out Sales Key and Item key from the layout but let them still be Merged dimensions
