Date format in Email notifications

Service Desk 7.01
Windows 2008
MS SQL DB
When the notification emails are sent out to the user, the date format is in US format (mm/dd/yyyy) and we would like it to be Aus format (dd/mm/yyyy).
I have set the Default Date Style under Setup > Customer and in Setup > Email > Templates Date Style at the bottom of the window, but it is still showing as the US format.
Is there another place that it needs to be changed?

It is working in my setup. I modified the date format in setup>Email >Templates and selected Email Summary Templates and modified the format in Date Style. Attach more screen shots.

  • How to format an email notification

    Hi guys
I have created a simple form and I want to change the format the user e-mail notification. At the moment it's showing:
    Dear xxx ,
Thank you for reaching out to us via our website; we'll be in touch as soon as we can.
    Summary of web form submission:

  • ISE Guest Email Notification (Guest account creation)

When a guest user creates an account in ISE, it sends a system generated email with the username/password. It says "Welcome to the Guest Portal, your username ise xxx and password is yyy." Is there anywhere in ISE (1.2) to change this text, especially the name 'Guest Portal'? I thought it was in language templates > Configure Miscellaneous Items > Portal Name. But I changed this to the portal name, and it was not reflected in the email. Thanks.

    Josh,
Right now, it's pretty limited.  Here is the template to be used for formatting the email notifications:
    E-Mail Notification Template
The following is an example of the login information for the body of an e-mail in an English language template:
Welcome to the Guest Portal, your username is $username$ and password is $password$
The $username$ and $password$ strings will be replaced with the username and password values from the Guest User account.
In the e-mail body, you can use special variables to provide the details for the created guest account. When  using these variables, you must use all uppercase or all lowercase  letters, and you cannot mix them. For example, the string for username  can be either $USERNAME$ or $username%, but it cannot be $UserName$.
You can use these variables in the e-mail notification template:
•$USERNAME$ = The username created for the guest.
•$PASSWORD$ = The password created for the guest.
•$STARTTIME$ = The time from which the guest account will be valid.
•$ENDTIME$ = The time at which the guest account will expire.
•$FIRSTNAME$ = The first name of the guest.
•$LASTNAME$ = The last name of the guest.
•$EMAIL$ = The e-mail address of the guest.
•$TIMEZONE$ = The time zone of the user.
•$MOBILENUMBER$ = The mobile number of the guest.
•$OPTION1$ = Optional field for editing.
•$OPTION2$ = Optional field for editing.
•$OPTION3$ = Optional field for editing.
•$OPTION4$ = Optional field for editing.
•$OPTION5$ = Optional field for editing.
•$DURATION$ = Duration of time for which the account will be valid.
•$RESTRICTEDWINDOW$ = The time window during which the guest is not allowed to log in.
•$TIMEPROFILE$ = The name of the time profile assigned.

  • Wrong DATE-TIME FORMAT among REPORTS NOTIFICATION EMAILs

    Dear all,
I create a report request with url
    https://ocixxxx2.oci.xxcl.net/reports/rwservlet?>destype=printer&desformat=PDF&server=rep_xxxxx2_orahome&userid=ixxxxxx/xxxxxxx@saas&notifysuccess=IASL&notifyfailure=IASL&report=R1000R13.rdf&jobname=R1000R13&desname=HPLaserJet4150PCL6
Email notification was generated with wrong date format .
It's expected to be in UK English but it shows encoded text , may be random. I route it to another email servers such that find the date time is in chinese characters . That caused problem on original email server in which was not supported
Could any expert please advice ?
    Warmly

    It's indeed an expected behavior.
When a Reports Server starts on a Windows machine, it likely detect the Windows Regional Settings in order to use it when needed later. This let the Reports Server communicate in the same format/way the Server machine uses. For example, if the System / Application Server administrator prefers to use the Windows (on which the Application Server is installed) with Chinese Regional Options, it is normal that the Reports Server send the Notification Email with a "Date/Time" Format matches the Windows.
Thence, you like to get English/Western Date and Time format in the Reports Server Notification Email, it is required to change the Windows Regional Settings from Chinese to English and restart the Reports Server and restart the corresponding compoent. This will let the Reports Server detect the change and will send the Notification Email(s) then with English/Western Date and Time formats.
If English/Western Date and Time format in the Reports Server Notification Email but still have the Windows Regional Settings set to Chinese, you can implement it
    that :-
    1. Change the Windows Regional Settings from Chinese to English.
    2. Restart the Reports Server and restart others.
    3. Change the Windows Regional Settings back from English to Chinese. .
With these 3 steps, the Reports Server will keep sending the Notification Emails with English/Western Date and Time format, and maintain original settings.

  • Email Submit and Data format

I have been reviewing the following document and have 1 question.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/articles/lc_understanding_submit_tip.pdf
Is there a way to customize the data format using a submit button?
I may have the requirement to have end users submit data through an email submit button, but the client wants the data in the format Fieldname [delimiter of some sort] Fieldvalue, is this possible?  Would you need to manually edit the xml in the form to do this? Any pointers would be appreciated.
The only options I see in the attributes of the email submit button are:
    XDP
    XML
    PDF
    URL encoded data
    Thank you,

    Hi Paul:
Currently we are using Acroforms and would use these forms originally.
In the future, this would be used with LiveCycle so it would probably be an XFA/LiveCycle Designer form. I believe in this case, the best solution would be to do this through a submit using Form Server components of LCES.
    Thank you,

I think it is set by your device and I don't think you can change the date format in your ipad from US to UK.

  • Date format in workflow email

    Hi All,
I'm having issues with the date format within an automated WorkFlow email. For Leads, users in the UK are entering the 'call back date' field as '26/06/2009' and in the email it seems to base this on the server locale appearing as '06/26/2009'. Can we format this within the code?
    Thanks
    Oli @ Innoveer

I have just experienced this and used the following to convert the date to Australian format for my workflow email
    %%%Mid([<IndexedDate0>],4,2) + '/' + Left([<IndexedDate0>],2) + Mid([<IndexedDate0>],6,Len([<IndexedDate0>]))%%%
    this gives format DD/MM/YYYY
    hope this helps,

  • Email Notification with date field

    Hi,
i marked the a field as Display field this way it is displayed in the Email notification. (%Records%).
But i can see the letral date field displayed in email as 2010:03:09:00:00:00:000
Why is the ''00:00:00:000'' displayed when i have a date field??
    Did anyone face this issue..
    KR
    John

    HI John,
Date field in MDM is 18 characters long and has date as well as time component to it.
You can use assignment to trim this and transfer its value to another field and make that field as DF,so that it is displayed in the mail as date.
Otherwise you can also create a calculated field for this purpose.
Please go through this very useful link to create expressions/validations with dates:

  • How do i change the date format on an email?

When my emails load the date shows as mm/dd/yyyy as this is not a format i use how do i change it to dd/mm/yyyy ?
I had to reinstall Thunderbird and the date problem has just started from the reinstall.
    Thank you for your help.

TB uses the short date format as set in your OS control panel, e.g. in Windows, Region and Language. There is also an add-on:

  • Email notifications begin sent in text format rather than html format

    Hi all,
I have encountered a strange issue wherein i get email notifications in text format with all html code in the email(trying to open wf emails in netscape navigator)...but for all others the emails are begin sent in correct and decent HTML format......is there any prefernce that has to be set up in local mail client for me to receive email notifications in HTML format.
    Thanks in advance
    Aparna

Open the message and see if there are contents in HTML body.
If you need the message in HTML format, make sure the correct HTML tags are in place in HTML Body.
If you do not need the message in HTML format, make sure the HTML Body is empty.

    Hi,
you can setup automated alert monitoring via CCMS, however I doubt there is automatic reporting of excel sheets.

  • Email Notification - User LogIn date

    Hi All,
Our client has a requirement to send the email notification to the user if he has not logged in CRMOD for more than 2 days.
Does anybody has worked on similar kind of request. Please guide
    Regards,
    S

I'm not doing any homework. I am a beginner and have limited experience. I am using the MVC model 2 architecture and I'm not quite sure how to fit this business requirement in. I dont understand why some people automatically take this do your own hw attitude with beginners. Anyway
    Here's the situation:
Im creating a simple Domain Registration app that stores information about registered domains and displays it. The issue is that I need to create a script that sends out an email when the domains expiration date is two weeks away. Of course I could have the application check the expiration date for each domain and then send an email depending on whether or not the exp date is two weeks away, but the issue is that I need to have it do this without having to do it manually. In other words, once I run the app, it should do a check for the exp dates in the database and set timers for the emails to go. I was looking at the Timer class but still don' t know where/when to start the timer.
Im just asking for generic instructions on how to go about doing this. I dont need specific java answers because I know java. This is a logic and experience question more than anything else. I hope this helps but if anyone else wants to give it a shot and you need more info let me know and Ill do my best to give you as much of it as possible.

  • Send Date Does Not Appear for Email Notification

    Hi All,
Email notifications to user's mailbox do not have a date of send thus user can't sort it by the date. Can anyone tell me how to make the date appear?
    Thanks

Similar functionality is available in PO and Req Approval process. Can you take a look at the PO Approval Process workflow? I remember the email notification does show the link, which is a URL link and has parameters in it. This functonality provides where the approvers need to modify the document which is requested to be approved. So they can click on the link, modify and close and approve if necessary.
Are you expecting them to modify the same or you just want to show query only screen?
There is a webpage available to see order information called Order Information (user Order Information User resp). You can send parameters to that webpage and that should show login page opening up a seperate session with all the parameters in the URL. Once logged in that should show order information.
    Thanks
