Date & Time Issue

I live in Egypt, I have this issue with my iphone4 recently, whenever i use the [Set Automatically] option for the Date and Time it Not the ring time, meaning for example now it's 6.20am, and the phone says it's 3.20pm, even when i turn it off and set it to Manually changed, and i set the right time, it still changes like a day after to what it's supposed to be if it was on Automatically Set which is far from right, what am i doing wrong?

There is NO ONE from Apple here. Just user like you assisting other users. Sounds like you carrier is having time sync problems, since the phone gets its time from them.
that being said, on the iPhone, check settings:general:date and time: and see if set automatically is on or off. Also try resetting the phone by holding down the home and power buttons and waiting until the apple appears (ignore the power off slider).

  • Date Time issue factory unlocked iphone 4s

I have a factory unlocked iphone 4s bought in Apple store US and currently in India. In Settings -> General -> Date & Time, I am setting "on" Set Automatically. After some time say 2-3 hours, the time automatically moves back by 30 minutes. In India there is no daylight savings. I am forced to set "off" for the "Set Automatically" option and then choose the timezone, time to keep it to the correct time. Anyone facing this issue ? By setting it to "Set Automatically" on, my understanding is it should sync with the mobile provider ("Airtel"). Is this a bug in iOS ?

i have same problem i also went to apple store but the can not find any problem i don't know what to do ?
    i hop it's just a sofware problem

  • Date Modified Date/Time Issues on Files Exported to Excel

    Hello -
I am using Crystal Reports XI, Release 2 and Visual Studio 2005 Enterprise Edition for my ASP.NET application.
    CrystalReports dll version : 11.5.3700.0
    .NET Framework 2.0.50727
I use the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument to export a report to Excel (ExportFormatType.Excel).
When you view the exported file in Excel 2007 (just open and close it, making no changes), the Date Modified date of the file changes to whatever date/time the file was last viewed.  I have also noticed this same behavior when exporting to Excel from Crystal, using a vendor desktop application that is written in C++ and uses Crystal XI.
Does anyone else experience this issue and have a resolution?
Edited by: Meg Thickman on Feb 3, 2009 8:59 AM

    Hi Meg,
Just to clarify did you mean viewing the PDF?:
"Why would/should the file system date change merely by viewing the report?"
Our exported files are not linked to the master RPT file.
As I indicated the XLS file is likely in an older format and Excel is detecting and updating something which the file system then detects a change and updates the date stamp. Or excel is writing something back to the file. Did you notice if the file size changed or possibly the byte hash?
This is not something we are going to be able change. For compatability reasons we cannot stop Excel from updating the file.
As a work around add the Data Date field to your reports and your auditors can use that as the reference. It will reflect the actual date and time the report was run. Or use Excel API's to update the file format once the report has been exported in your code. You may also want to check with Microsoft to see if it's an option in Excel not to update the format or possibly a registry key to disable the option.
    Thanks again

  • ASN Delivery Date/Time Issue

    Hi
We are having issue wherein vendor navigates to Create ASN screen from DCM screen there he enters the ASN number, Shipping date and time, quantity and PO number etc. After this he presses the Check button for calculating delivery date and time. Here instead of adding number of hours mentioned in Means of Transport entry to Shipping time, system adds some fix number hours to MoT hours and calculates the delivery time.
But if vendor directly goes to Create ASN screen then system only considers number of hours mentioned in MoT entry. I want to know from where system is adding this fix number of hours while scheduling delivery date/Time.
    Thanks

    Hi ,
Thanks for the reply. But the issue is we are not passing any value to the Delivery Date Time Spot field (EKET-UZEIT). So by default when the BAPI_PO_CHANGE FM is called the value passed to this field is '000000'. It is that the system automatically changes the value to '00::0:1'. And it does so only if we execute the program without debugging the code. May be there might be a OSS note to update.
    Thanks

  • Date/Time issue on Galaxy S3

Just got my Galaxy two days ago to replace a HTC Rezond that had this same issue. The phone randomly goes back a day or two in time. Or just goes back 12 hours. It is causing my alarms to go off repeatedly for events that have expired, as well as missing current alarms for the actual day. In addition it messes with text, because of the date when you send a message it places it far up in the conversation history to match the date, so at times your not sure if the message was sent because you cant see it.
Ex: My phone chimes to let me know i have a reminder. I check it and it is a reminder for Thursdays garbage running. Problem is its now Saturday, and my phone is traveling back in time. It does this randomly through out the day. 6 times yesterday. Is there any fix for this? Or is this a network issue?

        Hey Kayte2626,
This sure is a bizzare occurance. I agree with demmo86rt that this is not a device issue. If you had the exact same issue with the Rezound and now with the Galaxy, there must be another issue.
More than likely it is an application that you either have installed or have previously installed. I would try and master reset the phone (Settings>Backup and Reset>Factory Data Reset) and possibly even save what you can on the memory card and clean that up as well. There may have been a file on there that is causing the error (you can even try using the phone without the card to see if it works better).
I have seen issues with Google Calendar as well that depending on how you enter the event (you choose the time zone when you are entering it) it may come up incorrectly. The reminder may have been set incorrectly with the time zone. Check to make sure. Please go into your calendar, press the menu button and select Settings. There should be Lock Time Zone. If that is checked your reminders may be coming up incorrectly.
The only other connecting factor would be the SIM card between the two phones. So you can visit a local store and get that replaced to see if it will make a better connection with the network. Please let us know if you need anything further!
    Thanks!

  • Date Time issues

In different places the OS seems to default to the date of 5/1/10 - I assume that is 5th Jan 2010. For instance, I have turned on parental controls. When I view the logs and want to show activity for 1 month or week and group by website, every entry appears to be for 5/1/10 - the time could be right since it does vary - althoygh I can't say how accurate it is.
However, when I group by date, the websites are group correctly by date (I assume and anecdotally it appears righ).
Again, just on Friday (Mar 19), Skype installed an update that also showed a date of 5/1/10.
Every video that I download after recording on my Flip HD camcorder - when I navigate to the video in Finder, shows the date 5/1/10.
Likewise every document in my info shows 5/1/10
For the record, this Macbook was purchased in Oct '09 and has been current on all Snow Leopard updates - it is now at 10.6.2.

  • Oracle UNIX Data Time Issue/Question

I have a project where I need to display some data from a commercial software package. All of the tables except 1 store date values in NUMBER columns as UNIX time. I can convert these no problem, but one table has date values stored in FLOAT(126) columns and I cannot figure out how to convert them to get a valid, and accurate, date from them.
For example, the column contains the value 38513.5775115741 which in the application front end is displayed as Friday, June 10, 2005. Does anyone see a "formula" for this?
Maybe it's obvious and I've been trying too hard or looking at it too long for it to make sense to me....
    Thanks in advance.

    This looks close:
    SQL > select to_char(date '1900-01-01'  + 38513.5775115741,'fmDay, Month dd, yyyy','nls_date_language=american') from dual
      2   /
    TO_CHAR(DATE'1900-01-
    Sunday, June 12, 2005
1 rij is geselecteerd. So maybe you should use 30-12-1899 or the number was really 38511.5775115741 instead of 38513.5775115741 ?

    Rob.

  • Photo Date & Time Issues in Elements 12 Mobile Albums

I have created and uploaded two new Mobile Albums to my adoberevel.com account.  I need to correct some of dates listed for several of the photos.  When I open the Mobile Albums in the Elements 12 Organizer and click on each photo to make the corrections, the changes that I make only last about 2 minutes.  After that the dates revert back to the original incorrect info.  Why is this happening?

    Anwesha,
Thanks you for responding to my question.  My unlimited upload period ended
in January and that was the last time that a photo uploaded.  I currently
have several hundred photos remaining in my Mobile Albums inside of
Elements 12 Organizer waiting to upload to Revel.  I have stopped and
started the Adobe Revel Agent numerous times.  Basically nothing happens.
I have also tried clicking on the Revel Agent icon.  When I do this it
displays a message "Detecting Changes" and then a message telling me
    everything is up to date.
When I log onto my Adobe Revel account online there is an option to add 50
photos, but it appears that I must manual select them from my hard drive
which bypasses the purpose of the Elements Organizer Mobile Albums.
Do you have any other suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Robert

  • MSI FM2-A85XA-G65 system date & time issue

    Hello everyone!
I have a MSI FM2-A85XA-G65 motherboard with an AMD 5800K processor. The date and time won't save in the bios. Sometimes it will sometimes it won't. The system will save for a few reboots, Then when I again enter the bios a different date and time will appear.
I have reset the cmos and have removed the battery with the same results. Other than that the board appears fine. Any help or ideas?

It appears to be a Linux UTC UEFI coordinated thing. So I think all is well. The correct time is on the desktop after all and all other settings remain.

  • Print PDF document with printer's name and date/time of print

    Hi,
    I'm pretty new to this...
I have a PDF document and when I print it, I want the printer's name and the date/time of print to be showed on the printer's output.
I have several printers (some local and some on network) and don't necessarly use the default one. I would like the name of the printer used, to be printed on the document.
With var h = this.getField("Printer"); h.value = app.printerNames; I'm able to get the list of all printers available but I just need the one used.
For the date/time, using var f = this.getField("Today"); f.value = util.printd("mmm/d/yyyy", new Date()); gives me the date/time of when the document is open, not when the document is printed. (or maybe I'm missing something?)
I guess the date/time issue is not the major one as there is usually not much difference between the time you open the document and the time you print it.
I'm more interested in the printer's name.
I use Acrobat Pro 9 to edit my PDF document.
    Can anyone help me please?
    Thanks!

This project was left aside for a while... but it's now finished!
Thank you for the answers. It was helpful.
Here is a step-by-step of what I did (using Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1):
    Open PDF document in Acrobat
Select Forms -> Add or Edit Fields
Add two text fields: one called "Today" for the date and one called "Printer" for the printer name
    Close the form editing
Select Advanced -> Document Processing -> Set Document Actions...
Then select Document Will Print and Edit
    Paste the following code:
    var f = this.getField("Today"); f.value = util.printd("dd mmm yyyy - HH:MM", new Date());
    var pp = this.getPrintParams();
    this.getField("Printer").value = pp.printerName;
    Save your PDF
    Enjoy!
The date and printer name field will be automatically updated when you print the document!

  • Problem with Date & Time Auto Update

    Hi everyone,
I have been experiencing a date & time issue with my MacBook Air. (I am running 10.5.5 with all the latest software updates except for iTunes 8). Here's what's going on:
Under the Date & Time preferences, whenever I try to check the box for "Set date & time automatically", the date and time do not update. I thought Norton might be the culprit in this case, but I have thoroughly uninstalled it, and this problem still persists. (I am actually borrowing this laptop for work, so I don't know if someone else possibly did something weird to it before I started using it. As far as I can remember, I've always had this problem -- the automatic setting has never worked.)
I am connected to the internet when I do this, and I already have my time zone selected. Am I missing something obvious here?
I apologize if this issue has been brought up before, but I did a lot of searching and couldn't find anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thank you.

whenever I try to check the box for "Set date & time automatically"
You check it and the time does not update, or you try to check it and it doesn't show a little tick mark?
Try it with Console.app open and see does it report any errors. Try changing the time server.

  • Problem with Date / Time Title - Showing Inacurate Information

I use iMovie to make videos for my job. The videos need to have an accurate running time and date displayed on them. I use the "Date/Time" Title option and the running time and date appear on the video. BUT- there is a problem. The time is wrong.
When I import a video clip (from my Panasonic HDC-TM80) into iMovie, I can see the "time and date created" as well as the "length" of the video clip. The time and date created shows the time and date of when the clip ENDS. When I overlay the "Date/Time" Title, it starts the time (at the beginning of the clip) from the created time (which is actually the end).
    Example:
Clip Created (end of clip): 3/23/11 10:30:00am
Length of clip: 12 min. 35 sec.
The actual Date/Time Title should show 10:17:25am at the beginning and runs through 10:30:00am (the end).
But instead it shows 10:30:00am at the beginning and runs through 10:42:35am. This obviously results in a 12 min. 35 sec. inaccuracy.
Is this a problem with the software? Is there a way to contact someone to alert them of this problem? Or am I missing something simple?
Thanks in advance for anyone's help.
-as a quick fix, I adjusted the time and date on the video clips so that it would show the correct info, but I'm usually working with several clips at a time and it is laborious to change each one.

I don't have an answer but was wondering how you like the TM80? Except for the date/time issue, is it compatible with iMovie'11?
    Thanks!

  • BUG: LR 2.1 adjusts date/time back 1 hour

I'm really really annoyed. When I import images into LR 2.1, it changes the date/time of the image back by 1 hour - I assume its changing to standard time from daylight savings time. Why is this done? There doesn't seem to be a configuration option for this.

    "CR Henderson - 4:40pm Nov 23, 08 PST (#35 of 35)
A work around that I have used since LR 1.0:
    1. Set camera time to GMT and leave it there.
    2. Take pictures and download them to PC hard drive.
    3. Convert to .DNG using DNG Converter
    4. Run ExifTool GUI on files and use XMP: DateTime copy from EXIF
    5. Import into LR
#4 sets the XMP time to the EXIF time and removes the time zone offset, i.e. the XMP time is set to be the EXIF time with zero offset and since that is what I have my cameras set to things work out well. With the XMP time already set LR doesn't mess with it (or at least versions 1x-2.1 haven't).
It is possible the above will work for other RAW files supported by ExifTool GUI. I know it does with the Canon CR2 files I use (30D, 40D)."
Personally, having paid for the software, (it isn't freeware) I would like a FIX rather than a workaround. A little response from Adobe as to when it will be fixed would be appreciated, if it is not too much trouble?
The last Date / Time issue required purchase of a new version, I hope this will not be a trend in LR. As others have pointed out just writing and reading the EXIF time is not rocket science. It is just a matter of trying to get the LR programmers to leave it alone (since the beta!) and not keep messing around with it. There has never been any explanation of what they were attempting to accomplish by modifying EXIF Date / Time?

  • Date/Time, EXIF and Lightroom

I am quite aware of the past thread on the date/time issue started by Judy
Nicholls. But id did not help me to solve a mystery I am experiencing with a
bunch of jpegs made shot some years back.
Lightroom states that these files have no date - none is shown in the metadata
panel to the right, and they are selected in the metadata browser when selecting
    "unknown date".
But several EXIF reader programs, including EXIFUtil, EXIFEditor and EXIF Pilot
clearly show me that the three relevant EXIF dates are there, are correct and
are identical. The EXIF header, the whole metadata section, seems to be complete
and readable outside LR. Oddly, EXIFER shows a date of "3--DEC-99" for Date
Taken in its file listing, but then shows the three relevant date entries
correctly and identically when doing an EXIF edit.
Why can't LR read these dates?
As a test, I tried to add the capture date through the menu (Metadata - Edit
Capture time ...), and it LR reacted to the added date by putting the file among
those with a known date (2003). But it did not change the EXIF data in the file,
apparently only a date in the LR database. I exported XMP to the file, read the
resulting data with EXIFUtil - but could not find any difference with the
    original file!
Can anybody explain what is going on here?
    Chris

    Ok, here's what I've found:
If the "xmp" sidecar exists and you do "Read metadata from file", it will read the metadata from the "xmp" sidecar. If the "xmp" sidecar doesn't exist, then if you "Read metadata from file" it reads it from the image itself.
Thus, if you have an "xmp" sidecar file that exists and use an EXIF editor on the original image, the EXIF time change will *never* be imported again from the image file no matter how hard you try (ie: it will be ignored). If you remove the "xmp" sidecar, then you can get it to read the EXIF time data from the image. I don't think you have to "reimport" as some have done, but rather just delete the "xmp" sidecar.
However, and this is important, if you've already made Develop edits, those edits will be lost on the "Read metadata from file", import of EXIF data from the image.
If you think you'll be tricky and move out the "xmp" sidecar, edit the EXIF time data in the original image, import the metadata from the image, move back the "xmp" sidecar, and re-import the metadata and you'll get the best of both worlds, well no, you're SOL. The "xmp" sidecar date/time overrides the EXIF date/time previously imported.
So, I'll probably be stuck exporting my RAWs, then fixing the EXIF time data after the fact in the JPEGs since I've already made tons of edits across my 1,000+ photos for this batch.
Incidentally, iMatch by Photools can do a batched EXIF time correction by partial or full hour offset (or day) and Lightroom seems to be happy with the EXIF date format. iMatch is a pretty nice tool in of itself and probably better for general photo organization at least in the iteration of Lightroom (it is not a RAW converter though).
It can also do edits of XMP data, including with Visual Basic like scripted edits, so perhaps I can eak it out to do the fix that way (or re-export the fixed EXIF data into the XMP data without touching the rest of the Develop edit data also there).
    Yuck!
Lightroom is a very nice app, but it's certainly still pretty "beta" in many respects.
