Greetings,
Thru out the afternoon, I have been playing hide-and-go seek in Goggle and Apple Discussions. I am searching for an Apple "Day-Timer" "Day Runner" "Day Planner" type product. I use iCal and Address Book ... they don't offer the variety of features on several PC planners.
It would be wonderful to find an Apple application which I can use on my MacBook (#1 priority) and iTouch. Hope it is out there & someone can point me in the right direction.

What are those features? If you don't tell us, we can't give appropriate recommendations. (Especially since I'm not sure what a "day timer" and "day runner" are.) If iCal does not fit the bill, you will have to look to a third-party, as iCal is Apple's only entry in the calendar market.

Unable to create a schdeule to exlude days/time intervals within days

Please can someone help me with this issue:
I'm trying to create a schedule to run job every 10 mins from Monday 8am -Until Saturday 10am. Which means not to run run it from (sat 8am-Mon 10am).
I know you can can use "exclude" parameter but some how I can get to work:

I exlude three other schedulers but I get an error?
Does any one know what would be the best way to create this type of schedules?

Hi,
You can't exclude time-periods as schedules only entire days.
Instead of excluding time periods you should break the schedule up into time periods to be combined together.

Day timer format calendar

Does anyone know of software that can create what you can do with Calendar but in a week at a glance day timer format? IE - a 5 x 7 size with photos on the left and a week calendar on the right?

Changing the default event time to all-day in Month View?

I updated to Mavericks today, and when I went to add an event to my Calendar, I discovered that all-day was not the default time. In Mountain Lion, when going to add an event in Month View, it was automatically set to all-day, which is perfect because all of my events are all-day events. Now, it's being set to 9:00 to 10:00, and I have to check the box to make it all-day. I know that this isn't much work, but when I'm adding dozens of events it starts to get a little annoying.
Calendar 7.0, OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that it is possible, even using Terminal. If you want to change your workflow, "all day" events can easily be created in the Day/Week view, but as you stated the Month view poses a problem.

To make:
An event that lasts all day:
In Day or Week view, double-click in the “All-day” section at the top of the calendar.
An existing event last all day:
In Day, Week, or Month view, double-click the event, click the date, then select “All-day.”
A multiday event:
In Week view, drag from the start time to the end time. You can drag across multiple days.In Day or Month view, create an event. Then, enter the start and end dates and times.
An all-day event into a multiday event:
In Week view, drag the all-day event across multiple days.

I recently purchased FaceTime from the Application Store. After approx. ±10 meg, the application resets and starts downloading again. I have tried to download it at different times of the day but with the same results. I have been in contact with Apple support and have tried different options with the same result. I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume. I can’t, because the same thing is going to happen. I have tried all the various troubleshooting tips supplied by my ISP and also Apple Support with no luck. I am currently working on a IMac OS 10.6.7. Has anybody got any ideas? Any suggestion would help. Thanks

Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

Go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. the connecto to iTunes and restore as a New phone. Do not restore any backup. If the problem persists you have a hardware problem. Take it to Apple for exchange.
This assumes that the phone is not hacked or jailbroken. If it is you will have to go elsewhere on the internet for help.

My cell phone will not back up properly to my laptop. I have tried three times in two days as I knew I was getting my new phone today and wanted to save all my information. The problem is that it backed up very random things like things from my IPod from years ago, and did not back up all the information it should have from my "old" cell phone. First, make sure you are using the most current version of iTunes 11.1.3 (8). Second, what version of iOS 7 was your old phone running, i.e. 7.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.2? If your back-up was made with a version of iOS that is newer than the version on your new phone, it will not sync. For example, if your back-up was of a phone running iOS 7.0.4, and your new phone was running 7.0.2 out of the box, the back up will not sync to the new phone until it is updated to iOS 7.0.4.

How can I set a passcode that is only required at certain times of the day. Ie: my child needs access for school use, but don't want her playing iPad in the middle of the night. I cannot identify a way to have the iPad turn off or require a password

I cannot find a way to enable my child's iPad to require a passcode only at certain times of the day.
Yes I have used the clock/timer/ countdown - great to restrict how many minutes of iPad usage they get a day.
But as my child requires the iPad in school for class lessons the usage at school varies maybe 30 mins 1 day and a few hrs on other days
I want the ability to say set the iPad to not work between say 7pm and 7am, ( unless a passcode is entered) so my child isn't playing games on it in the middle of the night...
Apple I cannot see anything in the settings that performs this function

You can Remote Lock his iPad with Find My iPad using a computer at whatever time you like.

How do you set a calendar alarm for a specific time on the day of the event without it being an all-day event

Does anyone know how to set a calendar alert at a specific time on the day of the event.
So that the alert date adjusts accordingly if you were to copy and past it to another date.
The custom alert function kind of does this, but because it is an absolute alert (not relative) it will still refer to the date you initially set it to when you copy and paste it to another date. So this creates more work where you would have to go and manually change all the custom alerts. I have potential

Greetings: Set the alarm to message you (on your screen) and then snooze it every day for 15 days, or, set 15 separate alarm messages. There is probably an AppleScript somewhere on the web too, try searching that way as well.

How do I find out what purchases were made on a particular day/time? My credit card has a charge and I didn't purchase anything from APL*APPLE ITUNES?

My credit card has a charge on it for a particular day/time from APL *APPLE ITUNES. The charged amount and date/time of the charge do not ring any bells with me and I don't have kiddos that would be charging downloads or whatever. How do I find out what the charges were actually for? I've tried to figure it out in the iTunes store, but not having much luck. I'm new to this iPhone 'thing". Please help.

SPA9000 and Day time format

Hello,
  in linksys administration guide for SPA9000 the Day time format is defined as Start time:   and End time.
Is it possible to have more than one periods of Day time?
For example lets say i want to define Day time beetween   08:00 and 13:00 and also day time 14:00 until 18:00. Is that possible?

It's to stop you logging into everyone else's iTunes match/in the cloud account and effectively listening to any music that you want without paying for it..

SBS 2011 Existing domain and the 21 day timer

I will be putting an SBS 2011 server into a Server 2088 R2 domain. There is no Exchange server in this domain.
Will I need to worry about the 21 day timer? From previous experience I believe the 21 day timer is tied to an Exchange server being in the domain. I am asking, because I would like to move the server into the domain and test some things before I start moving
the users into the SBS OUs, and migrating their email from the POP server onto the domain.

No, there is no 21 day issue migrating to SBS 2011 from standard server. Be sure you have restorable backups and are comfortable with moving the FSMO roles and go for it. Here is one guide to the process, and there are others:

Associating device to account (90-day timer)

Because I have a hard time understanding plain english, I'd like to ask a question about the 90 tmer on iTunes Account Device Management.
The Apple white sheet clearly states (or not, in my case) the following.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90 day timer. The timer must complete 90 days from the day the device was associated before it can be associated to another Apple ID.
I'm slightly confused so please help me to see this clearly.
I have a computer that is linked to an account. I'd like to Associate the computer with a new account so I can use the "auto download" function with that new account. The current status of the computer shows the following under Itunes Account: Device Management.

If I click (Remove) now, will I have to wait a full 90 days from when I click the (Remove) button to move that computer to the new account?
OR
Do I wait till the counter reaches 90 days from January 10th? (thus April 10th) Then, on that day, I click (remove) and go into the other account and add the computer to that account?
