DB identifier mismatch with data volujme and log volume

Hi,
I would like to perform backup and restore test on linux (maxdb database ) ECC 6.0 system.
I have taken the backup of (i.e data , incremental and log backups ) on one system.
Then created a new system with same host name, SID and instance number.
Then i Performed to restore the database on the new system in the ADMIN mode.
First i done the data then incremental backup. These are successful on the new system.
But when i performed the log backup it gives the following error as :
Db identifier mismatches with data volume and log volume.
Database then goes to offline state.
How to perform the successful log backup ?

Hi,
As you are performing restore on the new machine you have to restore with recovery with initialization option.
for this you have to first create template on the new machine using DBMGUI or DBMCLI for complete_bkp/incremental_bkp and log_bkp's.
It will first restore complete backup after that incremental backup and after that all the available log backups will be applied.After that you will be able to make in online mode.
You can perform this either using dbmgui or dbmcli.

Properties.

Sql server data file and log file

hello experts
what is the best way to save data file and log file in a two node cluster environment. i have an active\passive cluster with windows server 2008r2 enterprise and sql server 2008r2. i am new to the environment and i noticed that all system and user databases
including their data and log files are stored in one drive, just curious, what is the best practise in such kinds of scenario, thank you as always for your help.

Make sure you have valid/tested backup strategy for both system and user databases.

My problem is when I run the page and select a date from the Pop-Up calendar I get this error:

I know it is something to do with data formats and the fact that I do not fully understand the use of wwv_flow_item.date_popup().

It is a WD Java application, Backend is ABAP (MM module).
The UI is input field, where the context attribute type is Date, So its been changed to Date Picker.
The problem is when the user runs the WD application in Portal, The calendar format is being changed for some users. That is for few users the Week starts with Monday and for few users the week starts with Sunday.
I need all the users to have Monday as the First day of the week.
Please let me know, what will be solution for this.
Since I haven't done anything in regard to date, it is a simple Date format.

System Center 2012 R2 install: SQL server Data file and log file

This might be a dumb question, but I can't find the answer anywhere.
I'm installing a new instance of System Center 2012 R2 on a new server, I'm stuck on the SQL Server data file section. Everytime I put in a path, it says that tne path does not exist. I'm I supposed to be creating some sort of SQL Server
data file and log file before this installation, I didn't get this prompt when installing System Center 2012 SP1 or hen I upgraded from System Center 2012 SP1 to System Center 2012 R2

On a side note, why would you put the database file on the same drive as the OS? That defeats the whole purpose of having a remote SQL Server. Why use a remote SQL Server in the first place.

what should be the size in MB (not in %) of autogrowth. based on what we have to determine the ideal size of file auto growth.

It's very difficult to give a definitive answer on this. Best principal is to size your database correctly in advance so that you never have to autogrow, of course in reality that isn't always practical.
The setting you use is really dictated by the expected growth in your files. Given that the size is relatively small why not set it to 1gb on the datafile(s) and 512mb on the log file? The important thing is to monitor it on an on-going basis to see if that's
the appropriate amount.
One thing you should do is enable instant file initialization by granting the service account Perform Volume Maintenance tasks in group policy. This will allow the data files to grow quickly when required, details here:

Also, it possible to query the default trace to find autogrowth events, if you wanted you could write an alert/sql job based on this

With Lion 10.7.1. you where able to drag events from "All Day Events" into the "Reminders" bar to create upcoming reminders.

Great being able to sync reminders (well overdue) however if I have to re-type a calener envent into reminders it's a waste of time!!

I tried to create repository initialization block and add variable. But I don't know what should I write to DataSource? I tried to use functions Now(), Current_Date, sysdate (for example, SELECT Now() FROM tbl_Calendar) but without results - when I pressed "Test..." button I got errors - something like "Now() is unknown function" or "Incorrect syntax near key word Current_Date".
After that I tied to use Presentation Variable in Prompt, but also without success ((

I've created Repository Variable "CurrentDate", using SQL-query like this "select convert(varchar(10), getdate(), 104)" and now this variable is being initialized by value "07.04.2011". But I don't understand how to use this varible in DashboardPrompt! What item in list "Default selection" I should choose - "Variable Expression", "Server Variable" or something else? I'm having the same issue. After opening Audio Midi Setup in Utilities I noticed that the master volume slider of the Built-In Output is very low. I am not able to slide to get any more level out of the system.

hope i got the title right..,
so here goes the problem i need your opinion and help to solve:
application definition:
i have this desktop flash application that will go fullscreen what this application do is loading external asset (mostlySWF) and play it inside this application. Each external asset will be place inside a container/holder (empty movie clip created by code), each of this container have it's own dimension ( width, height, x, y).my code all working without any warning nor error.oh and i also have an image.jpg/png as it's background and place at the bottom of display list (depth = 0), the image is customly made with using photoshop and each container location and dimension also measured there so it just needed to be writen down is the XML file..,
the problem:
the bug is when i loaded some image of those background image each container width,height,x,y will mismatch with what i have in the XML file.
the funny thing is when i trace the value of each container width,height,x,y it value is the same with what the XML has yet by seeing with eye you know that is wrong..,

i did check all of my loader instance till myLoader.parent.parent.parent and it return 1 for every single one of them
but by removiing the "this.stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;"
i do get new error which is:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at slideshow_fla::MainTimeline/doAspectRatio()
well from what it tokd me it came from my slideshow swf..,(this swf also fully code and has nothing placed on stage by manually)
the thing is in my mine swf code i never refer to what external asset property, i just told to load it and when the load is complete i put it in the display list..,
from googling i suspect that it played to early beacause i put the script in the first frame of the timeline of slideshow.swf
and for the moment i'm trying to find what error do cause it..,
(but why this didn't happen all the time??)

Generate a report with date range and year as POV with Hyp Planning ?

I am starting with hyp planning and i need your help please.
I have to create some forms. In those forms, the final user is supposed to be able to display data in the forms between 2 dates and for a specific year.
My first problem : I don't know how you can display data in a form between 2 dates and for one specific year. I just have one dimension YEAR and one PERIOD, so if i selected them as a PAGE, the final user will just be able to choose the month and the year for his form ... and not displaying data between 2 dates.
My second problem is with the dimensions YEAR, SCENARIO and VERSION. I don't want to put the dimensions VERSION and SCENARIO as PAGE (it easier for the final user to just choose a year than to choose a year, scenario, and version) but as POV with a relationship with the dimension YEAR (because if the user chooses YEAR = actual_year (2012) the VERSION and the SCENARIO won't be the same than if the user chooses YEAR= last_year). IF YEAR = next_year, VERSION=Propuesta, SCENARIO=Forecast

How to solve delay in a program with data aquisition and processing

Hello, I am a starter in Labview programing. I am working on a system which contains a roller, a piston and a A/D cart which is from Data Translation Inc (DT304). I am using labview to get speed data of the roller (which is voltage first then be converted into speed) from Analog Input Channels, and then using Analog Output Channels to control the friction force being appylied to the roller by using a piston.
I am using a Waveform Chart to show the speed of roller. However, as I am adding more components to the program, I always get delay in the speed display and also the output control of the piston. Also, as I spent more time using the program eg. from morning to night, it became slower too.
My question is, how does labview store data and how are the data been stored and released in the buffer.Is it because I am loading too much data in the buffer so that it became slower? And also how to solve these delays?
I am using the "save to file" function to write data to a ".lvm" file, but I did some changes to the saving by using a button to enable and disable saving. So I don't think the problem is because I am always saving the data into a file.

I'm betting it's two things:
1. Program Architecture
and 2. Dynamically resizing arrays.
With the program architecture... if you have one do-while loop that acquires data from teh DAQ, processes it, opens/indexes/writes/closes a file, then comes back around... as your arrays and files increase in size, the loop is going to take longer to execute. A Producer-Consumer loop (a good tutorial on them can be found here) has one loop that acquires data and stuffs the data into a queue. This will buffer the data while it's in transition between acquisition and processing. A second loop in parallel takes data in from the queue, processes it, then comes back around. The two loops operate independently of each other, so even if the consumer loop takes longer as the files or math gets more complex, the producer loop continues to run full speed.
Second is the arrays. Every time you append data into an array, LabVIEW has to make a copy of the data that's in the array. If you append small amounts of data to an array over and over and over again, eventually LabVIEW is going to be copying very large amounts of data over and over and over again. The producer-consumer architecture can alleviate this problem.

As soon as i excute ABAP program it should ask me enter a data source name, then my ABAP prog has excute teh code, in ABAP code i have to read a table with this data source as key, sort time stamp from table and should display the data source and time stamp as output.

The time stamp format in table is 20,050,126,031,520 (YYYYMMDDhhmmss). I have to display as 05-26-2005. Any help would be apprciated.

I tried to extract YEAR, MONTH, DAY separately and using
EDIT MASK written it.
Definitely there will be some STANDARD CONVERSION ROUTINE will be there. But no idea about it.
DATA : V_TS      TYPE TIMESTAMP,
       V_TS_T    TYPE CHAR16,
       V_YYYY    TYPE CHAR04,
       V_MM      TYPE CHAR02,
       V_DD      TYPE CHAR02.
START-OF-SELECTION.
GET TIME STAMP FIELD V_TS.
V_TS_T = V_TS.
CONDENSE V_TS_T.
V_YYYY = V_TS_T.
V_MM   = V_TS_T+4(2).
V_DD   = V_TS_T+6(2).
V_TS_T(2) = V_MM.
V_TS_T+2(2) = V_DD.
V_TS_T+4(4) = V_YYYY.
SKIP 10.
WRITE : /10 V_TS," USING EDIT MASK '____-__-________'.
          /10 V_YYYY,
          /10 V_MM,
          /10 V_DD,
          /10 V_TS_T USING EDIT MASK '__-__-__________'.
If you want DATE alone, just declare the length of V_TS_T as 10.

Trouble with FCP7, .mts, and Log and Transfer

I'm trying to upload footage from a Canon Vixia S200, and Log and Transfer won't work. For reference, the footage is stored on the SD cards in the camera rather than internal memory. When I tried Log and Transfer for an older Vixia that used internal memory, Log and Transfer worked. Is there some way around this?

FCP 7 doesn't work with 1080p60. That format came out after it's last update. You need to use ClipWrap2 to convert the footage to ProRes 422...or use another editing app that will work with this footage.

Hi Experts,
1. Please tell me where the data comes when we do the
    following actions :-
    a) Init with data transfer
    b) Full load
i want to know the source of data i.e (setup table or main table or any other table)
Helpful if you can provide the data-flow.

Hi.......
When you do init with data transfer it will read data from the set up table only..........but beside this it will also set the init flag..........due to this from next time any new records will go to the delta queue...........and next time when you run delta load it will pick records from delta queue...........
Now suppose data are alrady available in the BW side...........then you can run init without data transfer.......this will only set the init flag.........it will not pick any records.........
Extraction structure gets data from set up table in case of full upload ............and in case of delta load from delta queue.......
