Dbms service startup error on Ep6sp2patch2, j2ee patch 23
hi,
I am getting below error while starting the state controller of j2ee in cluster env.
[DBMS]: Error during reorganization/defrag recovery
com.inqmy.services.dbms.server.interfaces.DatabaseException: ID3020:Error during reorganization/defrag recovery
ID000544: Error starting service dbms. DBMS Service not started properly due to: Error, while opening database
[ServiceManager]: ID000544: Error starting service dbms. DBMS Service not started properly due to: Error, while opening database
[Framework -> criticalShutdown] Service dbms startup error!
Any hints would be really helpful.
Note: I am starting the service manually(go.bat of state Controller)and not as NT service.
Looks like a corrupt internal database
You could try (although there are no guarantees what so ever!)
Go to
c:\usr\sap\<PID>\j2ee\j2ee_01\cluster\<server which failed>\services\dbms\work
and do
1. Backup all files in here
2. Copy all the files from the last_backup folder(hopefully you will have this one under work) to the work folder overwriting the old files
3. Restart the portal
I've also heard of people copying between different app servers but would not recommend this
NOTE: If this is a production system, please contact SAP in order to make sure that you get the recommended workaround

Weblogic Server 2008 Service Startup Error
Hello
When setting up weblogic on server 2008 R2, I can start weblogic using the startWeblogic.cmd file manually, but when configuring to run as a service, I am getting the below error and the service does not start. Do you know what could be causing this?

Open the register editor and look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\<your beasvc service>\Parameters
Look what is in CmdLine, those are the actual parameters that the service's using, look for all -X arguments.
I have this on my service here:
-Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
Your problem is probably on the -XX:PermSize part...
Modify your installSvc.cmd script so you can have the right parameters for the service, you can also try and call setDomainEnv.cmd from inside installSvc.cmd then you will guarantee that the arguments are the same for startWeblogic.cmd and the service.

WL 5.1 NT Service startup error
I am receiving the following error when trying to start WebLogic 5.1sp3 as
an NT service.
"Could not start the Weblogic... service on ..."
"Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occurred."
Nothing is written to any of the NT event logs or to the weblogic.log. I
am able to start the WL server from the start menu; wlserver.exe. I have

SAP BW3.0 - Oracle service startup error
Hi everyone,
I am not sure whether or not this is a right place to put my question..
We have installed the SAP BW 3.0 on QA system. But yesterday onwards, it started giving an error message while starting one of oracle services before logon to sap-bw.
It says ora81http error: terminated unexpectedly; I know it is related to oracle. I posted in oracle related forums didnot get any reply.
Any experience/reason with this and possible resolution? Gurus, Please help me out..

Hello!
Trying to install a virtual instance of MSE 7.3.101 on an VMWare ESXi host. Have configured with 8 Cores, 11 GB RAM but have encountered errors when setup is completed and the services restart.
It appears that the MSE services are not starting correctly.
Error when starting services:
ERROR in connecting to MSE Platform. Make sure MSE is up and running
msed status shows:
Health Monitor is running
MSE services are Down
Have searched online and tried several solutions to no avail, have not been able to locate any relevant logs of errors or reasoning.
Thanks for your help.Cisco must of made some logging changes since 7.3. I went from 7.2 to 7.4 when I upgraded. I would find theuninstall folder and uninstall the MSE software and reinstall it, keeping an eye out for anything odd during the setup. I know on 7.6 it's under /opt/mse/uninstall and you just type "./uninstall" to start the uninstall script. Then, when it's done go to the installers directory /opt/installers and run the 7.3 install file ./CISCO-MSE-L-... and see how that goes.

License Validation Service Tool - Service Startup error
Hi,
I have installed the LV service on my test environment. After rebooting the system, the LV service cannot be started correctly, says the windows event viewer (system). Event no. is 7022. Source: Service Control Manager. This error happens after each reboot.
Stopping and starting the service manually works without any errors.

OBIEE11g Presentation services startup error
Hi,
I have installed OBIEE 11G uses weblogic 10.3.3.0 in Windows server 2003.
It was running smoothly for few days.
Then I added samp app lite rpd using enterprise manager.
Now Iam getting the error
Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request
I have already discussed this and came to know it is not due to static IP problem. Is there any other thing to get rid of this error?

I have an issue with the Administrator user.
I was able to login to Answers with Administrator user but from last week on words we are unable to login to Answers but to able to login to Administrator tool in online mode with Administrator user.
We created the test user with in Admin consloe and able to login to Answers with that user.
For Administrator user we did below steps:
1. Deleted the Administrator folder in the webcat.
2. Recreated the Administrator user in the Admin consle.
3. GUID refresh
but still unable to login. Could you please help me here.
it is a clustered environment.

Well, after of the last post where it commented that the possible solution would be to update Java to version 12, the issue continues.
Now, we have the following error after SAP recommended to deploy the file manually with SDM Tool, the file is lcrsaprfc.ear and show the following error:
Manifest attributes are missing or have badly formatted value:
attribute keylocation is missing
attribute keyname is missing
attribute keyvendor is missing
attribute keycounter is missing
Maybe can be a problem with the file?, format?, build?.

Soa suite 10.1.3.1 bpel startup error

I installed the soa suite 10.1.3.1 on Linux with Java 1.5.0-12. First I did a Advanced install. Everything was fine except, I used to get a:

The install says succesful...Any ideas? Thank.thanks for the tip. applied the patch. but didn't help. it is just a no class def found error. How hard can it be to make it find the class it wants (as long as i get to know what class it wants!)

Problem Applying J2EE patches in WAS installation

WAS installation process has been completed till the application of ABAP and BASIS patches( till SP-15 package)
I have downloaded the J2EE patches from SAP Service Marketplace and copied them to a folder along with the SAPCAR file.
<b>Three patches are successfully unsarred:
CTRLORA15_2000118.SAR
J2EERTOS15_020000018.SAR
SAPINST15_0_20000018.SAR</b>
However <b>the file J2EERT15_0_10001982.SAR is not getting unsarred.
Error in reading file.</b>
Unless this file gets Unsarred I cannot proceed.

I downloaded the<b> latest CAR file SAPCAR_3-20000252.EXE</b> from the service market place.
I started the procedure again but the same error exists on executing the DOS <b>command</b>-<b>SAPCAR_3-20000252 -xvf <FILENAME></b>
<b>Is this command valid</b> <b>SAPCAR_3-20000252 -xvf "J2EERT15_0-10001982.SAR</b>"?
Because extraction started and again I was given the same error:

The remaining SAR files were extracted successfully.
Do I need to again download J2EERT15_0-10001982.SAR?

Installing J2EE Patches during WAS installation

I am <b>currently installing J2EE patches using SAPCAR utility.</b>However one of the .sar files is not getting uncarred properly.
<b>The file name is: J2EERT15_0-10001982.SAR</b>
I <b>repeated the procedure</b> by again downloading the same file from <b>SAP</b> <b>Service Market place</b>.But,I am still unable to resolve the error.
As a result I am unable to complete the application of J2EE patches during WAS installation.

We tried twice clean installation, after removing j2ee dir, SCS and
resp profiles and droping PSAPQSSDB tablespace and SAPQSSDB user.
I have also confirmed the passwords in ABAP system/000 for SAPJSF, DDIC, J2EE_ADMIN, J2EE_GUEST.
We are getting the same error in both tries.
Kindly advice us to resolve the problem.

you saved my day! I've been banging my head against the wall with this same problem during a J2EE add-in installation for SRM 4.0 on Windows, in preparation of an LAC 2.0 installation. I had tried deleting the schema first, but that didn't work. After I removed the sys\global\security folder as well, it worked perfectly.
