Debugging the Standard Extractor

Hi ,
I have issue with delta loads for one of the Standard extractors.
Need to debugg and see where is the issue.
If it is full load i know we can do from RSA3. We have option to debugg delta load in RSA3. But it is grayed out.

deltas are already running?or it is your first delta?
if you are trying first delta-->please check your roosprmsc table is having entry for the field 'initstate' as 'x' for your data source...
Try to execute your rsa3 through se30..

Questions on adding z fields to the standard extractor, Please reply !!!

We have 0material, 0customer in our daily process chains where we do full loads daily, now we need to make that delta loads so that we can reduce the time of the execution of the pc. I know that these extractors can be delta enables but the problem is we have a few z fields for these extractors, like 20 fields for 0material and 3 fields for 0customer and currently we are doing full loads for these 2 infobjects. I want to know if these can be delta enabled so that zfields will be delta enabled. I mean in short if we make these delta enabled, will the z fields will come along with the standard fields since we are adding the z fields to the standard tables. Do we need to handle the code separately or is their any complicated code written along with it in the CMOD or just adding the zfields will bring the delta to BI. Please provide some links or any information on this regard. Please let me know if you need any other information. Thanks in advance.

Deltas would be extracted based on some specific fields such as timestamp, dates or some kind of numeric pointer.
In your case, lets say if you have some date field for eg. Changed on in your table on which delta would be picked up then that delta should also fetch up changes related with address.
If this address field is directly present into your main talbe then changes would be directly picked up without any need of logic because table containing changed on date <your delta relevant field> also contains this address field.
But if this address is coming up from some other table then some sort of logic should be written to populate the changes in address field with respect to that "changed on" date field.

e.g. We use LBWE TCode in R/3 system to find table name for the field from Extractor VCSCL(e.g.).
Likewise is there any way to find table name for the fields from Standard extractor like 0CRM_LEAD_I.

activate the CRM DSs by scenario:
1) Activate the application component hierarchy (tcode RSA9). Changes made to the application component hierarchy in the CRM system can be transferred to the BW using the "Edit Application Component Hierarchy" (SBIW - Postprocessing of DataSources).
SAP Note 434886 must be implemented in CRM 3.0 before the application component hierarchy is activated.
2) Activate the Business Content DataSources (tcode RSA5).
Select/enter the application component and choose Execute (F8).
To compare the shipped and active versions, choose the 'Select Delta' pushbutton. If there is no active version of the DataSource, it is selected automatically.
To activate the shipped version, choose the 'Transfer DataSources' pushbutton.
3) Management of the versions of the BW-Adapter metadata (tcode BWA5). All DataSources are displayed that are managed by the BW Adapter.
As in transaction RSA5 (Service API Metadata Activation), the 'Select Delta' function can be used to select the inactive DataSources or compare shipped and active versions.
You can also go directly to the screen for maintaining DataSources that are managed by the BW Adapter.
The 'Compare Version' function makes a detailed comparison of the shipped and active versions.
All BW-Adapter metadata is considered when versions are compared:
Header information (Table SMOXHEAD)
Mapping information (Table SMOXRELP)
Global selection conditions (Table SMOXGSEL)
Attribute key fields (Table SMOXAFLD)

Issue with the standard SAP Extractor 2LIS_04_P_COMP

Hello gurus,
I am working on the PP and PM module. the standard extractor 2LIS_04_P_COMP is already in use in the development system .
I have made the changes to the Production Order (PO) and check the delta for the BW load the changes in the field release, deliver and PO confirm are not populated with the values, But when i check the same in COR3 tcode this PO has the above all status.
Could you please let me know why its behaving in this way. did any one has faced this scenario..

In this extractor i am getting the negative values for the ENMNG (Withdrawn Quantity) field for the after image records, for the good which are consume for the prodution. so i am getting the values in the report level as negative. could any one kindly let me know what the logic working behind this.

Yes you can change the standard extract structure for the standard datasources.You can write a code for enhancing extract structure in CMOD and you can add fields to the standard extract structure.For LO datasources you can customize the extract structure as well.You can do it in Extractor maintainance and add fields from pool to extract structure.

BUG IN SAP STANDARD EXTRACTOR

Hi Experts,
We are using the SAP Standard datasource 2LIS_11_V_SSL for populating the Service Level DSO.
The DSO has Sales order number, item number and schedule line number as primary keys.
The standard extractor is fetching incorrect delivery number for a combination of a order number, item number
and schedule line number.
For Example :
1. Sales Order Number 42739 has two delivery numbers 80020920 and 80027934.
2. The combination of Sales order number 42739, with item number 10 and schedule line 2 have been delivered using
delivery number 80027934.
3. But the SAP Standard extractor is displaying ( in RSA3 ) the above combination of order, item and schedule line
with delivery number 80020920.
Please consider this scenario and suggest some measures to fix or debug this issue with the standard extractor.

How to enhance Standard Extractor for 0CUSTOMER_ATTR

I need to enhance the standard extractor of 0CUSTOMER_ATTR in order to populate the newly added attributes.
I have few questions:-
1) Will there be any impact of manually adding attributes to 0CUSTOMER on the data flow/where used list of 0CUSTOMER.
2) In order to get the master data for newly added attributes we will need to enhance the extractor. Could you let me know the entire process of enhancing the standard extractor.
3) Will it be safe to make a copy of 0CUSTOMER as ZCUSTOMER, add the new attributes in ZCUSTOMER and use ZCUSTOMER for our requirement. In this case also we will need to enhance the extractor.

No there will not be any impact for the where used list of 0CUSTOMER info object, there will be effect once the enhanced data source is replicated to BI side.
2) In order to get the master data for newly added attributes we will need to enhance the extractor. Could you let me know the entire process of enhancing the standard extractor.
SE11 --> create the Structure
Tcode: RSA6 -> Double click on the Data source --> Now in the DS:customer version screen you can see the extract structure name --> double click on it -->Next you will find an option of Append Structure button --> click on it -->
Add the necessary field's in the Append Structure with Component Type:. Before you exit, make sure that you activate the
structure by clicking on the activate button.
Next
-->You need to confirm that the Added filed has been added to the DataSource and that it will be available to BW. When you go back at the Postprocess Datasource and Hierarchy screen(RSA6), select the same DataSource again and press the Change DataSource button .
Check for the filed that you had appended, it will be appeared at the bottom of the extract structure.
Once this is done now the appended fileds are ready in DS, now we need to populate the data from the corresponding tables.
For this Select the Data source 0customer_attr --> click on Function enhancement --> enter the project name and next enter the Enhancement RSAP0002 This enhancement has four components that are specific to each of the four types of R/3
DataSources:
Transaction data EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001
Master data attributes EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002
Master data texts EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003
Master data hierarchies EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004
With these four components , any R/3 DataSource can be enhanced suing the above 4 Function module. In this case, you are enhancing a Master data DataSource, so you only need EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 .
Next we need ABAP developer in order to enahance the DS and write the logic to populate the values to the filed from the source table.
once this is done save the code and activate it.
Next fill the set up tables and Goto RSA3 tcode check the data source and check for the fileds that were appened are populated with the values or not.

3) Will it be safe to make a copy of 0CUSTOMER as ZCUSTOMER, add the new attributes in ZCUSTOMER and use ZCUSTOMER for our requirement. In this case also we will need to enhance the extractor.
I dont think there is a need for creating a new ZCUSTOMER , you can use the standard one.

Debugging of standard script

Hi All,
Can i debug the standard sap script? And how can i get the test print with data?

HI,
Once you activated it as young said, you can use some more tips for debugging script.
1)When you execute after activating the debugger, you will get a pop up in which you can give a statement for debugging in perticular place . If you give perform in the statement it will stop at the statement in where script has perform command.
2)Once you execute the first step it by giving command or with out giving a command , you will get into script debugger. Here you can put soft break points . Just put the cursor on a line where you want to put the break point and click on break point that appears in application tool bar. so you need not execute each and every line.
Order of execution: While executing the order of executing windows is as follows.
First main window will trigger then in alphabetical order.
Let us suppose you have Main window , Header window, Footer window, Address window and Title window
So first main window will trigger, then address window , Footer window, Header window at last Title window.

Adding fields to the standard datasource

Hi All,
The custmer wants to add some fields to the Material master. I have found that those fields are already there in the standard extractor but are not being mapped to any infoobject.Do I need to create new info objects to map them or will there be a standard info object for all the fields in the standard datasource?

Thanks for your reply. The fields are available in datasource but are not mapped to any infoobjects in the Trans Structure. If I have to populate them in BW then I need to map them to some info objects. I am clear upto this. Now my doubt is...since the standard datasource already contains these extra fields which I need to add, will there be standard info objects already created for these fields or do I need to create some Z info objects to map them with? How can I check if there are some standard infoobjects for these fields.

Debug a standard prg

there is one errror message is coming.
error message : Item 00001 : Cost element 1276101000 does not exist in CO area US01 for 11/05/2007 .
so how to find out this error in program debugging...
where i can catch this error in prg...

Best way to debug is :
Take the message number and message id .
now goto Program ( When you go transaction -> system->status -> here you get program name).
click on find -> enter message number ( Select main program ) -> here you get message number ,now keep the break point ).
some times they call messages as like dynamically.
goto transaction -> enter all the data -> /h in command bar -> now create watch point -> use varaible as message id and value as message number ) ,operator is =
now it stops exact area

Copy standard extractor to custom

hai Gurus,
I have a requirement to convert the standard extractor to custom because I need to add some fields. I went to rsa6 and clicked on enhance structure. Now I see 4 includes in that structure. I need to add fields in each include. Do I need to go to se11 for all the 4 includes to add the fields so those will show is automatically?.

Have you completed the below process after enhancing the Extraction structure.
Got to RSA6,enter in to Edit screen of your Datasource and remove tick mark under Hide Field and field only for newly added fields . And then replicate he datasource into BIW.
If you still not getting visibility of the Newly added fields into BIW .You need to use a small program in R?3 to make these new fileds visible in BIW. For the code search with "<i>ROOSFILED</i>".

Hi Divya,
It's possible to debug the dynamic measure. Just go to include MPPERS00 and put a break-point inside subrotines DYN_MEASURE and MEASURE. Then, in PA30, trigger the dynamic action and the system automaticaly will enter in debug mode.
I'm assuming that you understand ABAP (in order to realize what SAP is doing behind the scenes) and know how to create a break-point in the ABAP editor.
