Declarative transaction not working for oracle 10g as.

Hi Friends,
While migrating from sun app server to oracle 10g as, i have problem in declarative transactions.
I created stateless and stateful beans with declarative transactions. Transactions were working fine till they were in sun app server environment, but they fail in oracle 10g as environment.
I build the ear through sun IDE and deployed the ear on oracle 10g as. Things worked fine till transactions come onto picture.Declarative transaction get failed in case of oracle 10g as.
Please if you have faced such problem or have any way to solve this problem, Pls revert back.

ok. previously I set TNS_ADMIN. Now I set TWO_TASK, while connecting now am getting different error "insufficient privilege". Please check following.

ERROR:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
But, now while connecting with "sys", I don't need to supply "@OID" it's connecting directly with "sqlplus sys as sysdba" command.

RH Linux VIP configuration not working for Oracle 10g RAC installation

I am trying to setup my test cluster on Oracle 10gR2 and Red Hat Linux 4. I have the public and private networks working fine and setup. However, after I setup the two VIP addresses, I cannot even ping these two virtual IPs from Linux. CRS install fails during initial run because it cannot communicate with the two VIP IP addresses. Can anyone help me out as to how to go about fixing the two VIPs so that Linux can ping them and CRS will install?

It sounds like you configured your VIP on Linux in advance, before installing Oracle.
You are not supposed to do that.
Decide on an IP that the VIP will use with your network manager, but don't configure it in Linux. So before you start the clusterware install, ifconfig should not show your VIP.
CRS does not need VIP when you install the clusterware, only the interconnect address.
VIP is configured using a utility called VIPCA. If Clusterware installation fails and you think it was caused by VIP issues, try running VIPCA manually and let us know what were the results.

PS: TABLE_FORM_BLOCK is a built-in for internal use, usually auto generated by forms. For a moment I didn't get what that meant, need more coffee.

select * from tab is not working in oracle 10g. But at the same time,
select * from <<table>> is working.

Ctrl+Z fuctianlity is not working in oracle 10g Form

Edit_TextItem to invoke Text Editor
When i using CTRL+Z to undo things in editor it is not working but it works when i used Form6i.
Please help me to solve this issue. i need to this functinality to be work.

Simple insert, delete and update not working after oracle 10g installation

I made a new installation of Oracle 10g (10.2.0.1.0) and created a schema . Now i try to insert or update data using simple queries, but unfortunately nothing happens. I tried inserting or updating data even via sqlplus, but unfortunately the same result. Query takes infinite time to end, so i had to manually end it every time... No errors... No warnings... but takes long time... I have given all the required permissions to the schema but the same result. Can somebody help me figure out the problem?
Tried creating a new table and the insert and delete are working fine... think the problem is with this table... Imported the rows of the table from another online database. I dont understand how this might be a problem.

The event column in v$session , in v$active_session_wait will show you the session wait event.What the session was actually waiting for.

Deployment not working for Oracle Help 12c (12.1.3.0.0)

I am trying to install the ohw-links.ear and ohw-rcf-demo-thin.ear. But after the installation when I am trying to access the below url, I am getting below error and I can't see the help home page.

Error is
No config parameter specified in the url or invalid config parameter. Please contact your administrator for more information.
I can't see the ear file to check what is wrong.
Is there anybody faced similar issue and have any solution, please help me.

Sorry for the delayed response. Have you configured your weblogic instance for jrf (ADF libraries) if so, you should be able to deploy the thin ear fine. If not you need to deploy the thick ear.

As per SAP Note 830576 - Parameter recommendations for Oracle 10g, I have tried to change the value for
parameter "db_file_multiblock_read_count".
In sql prompt it shows:

Database Upgrade Agent not working for upgrading Oracle 9i DB to Oracle 10i

Hi All,
Presently I have completed my Oracle 10i installation on Solaris Server but I am facing an issue during the upgrade process of Oracle 9i to 10g. Whenever I try to upgrade the 9i databases to 10g using DBUA(Database Upgrade assistant) I am facing an issue that Data base not running from oracle home or pfile not found. The exact error message says:-
The upgrade assistant failed in bringing up the database XIPCOTS. Oracle Home /opt/apps/home/oracle9i/product/releases/92/92 obtained from file /var/opt/oracle/oratab was used to connect to the database. Either the database is not running from Oracle Home /opt/apps/home/oracle9i/product/releases/92/92 or the correct Initialisation parameter file (pfile) was not found. To start the database , Oracle needs the pfile. Provide the full path name of the init file for the database XIPCOTS.
In reality the XIPCOTS database is running fine in Oracle 9i and we can connect it using PL/SQL developer in windows.I have also provided the path of pfile but it is still not accepting the same.
Path of pfile I provided :- /XIP/ofaroot/XIPCOTS/pfile/initXIPCOTS.ora
Any help or suggestions would be greately appreciated.
Our both Oracle 9i and 10g are installed on same Solaris server where solaris version is 9
Installation path for 9i :- /opt/apps/home/oracle9i/product/releases/92/92
Installation path for 10g :- /opt/apps/home/oracle/product/releases/10201

Can you please mention the specific folder name under oracle home where we need to put this pfile because there are two folder dbs and ds I have allready tried putting it inside dbs its not working. And my home path is correct I hope and is set for oracle 9i directories in the .oraenv file do we need to set it for oracle 10g before the DBUA upgrade.

Portal buttons not working for transaction type iviews

Our buttons on our portal transaction programs quit working. We are currently on ecc6,ehp5, portal 7.02. The buttons still work on our test and production systems, so it's not a browser issue. Transaction launcher not working for custom business role

Hi Experts,
I am facing a very weird problem where the transaction laucher define for BOR transaction is working for one business role(Z business role Customized one) but its not working for other business role (Z business role).
to emphasize further we have the code:-
case ls_attributes-object_type.
    when lc_z23 or lc_z25.
      lv_logical_link = lc_ZITISU.
    when lc_BUS2000115.
      lv_logical_link = lc_ZITERP1.
    when others.
      lv_logical_link = lc_ZITERP2.
endcase.
l_if_navigation = cl_crm_ui_navigation_service=>get_instance( me ).
IF l_if_navigation IS BOUND .
Navigate to transaction launcher using link id
    l_if_navigation->navigate( iv_link_id = lv_logical_link ).
ENDIF.
in this the logical link is is lc_ZITISU whenever this BSP application is called from both the business roles but in one the window opens up for BOR transaction whereas when we login again using different business role the code is the same as given above. I mean the sam logical link id is used and navigated to but window is not opening for transaction launcher as it happens for the previous business role.
Request your help to resolve this issue.

I tried by applying the PFCG role id of business role which was working to the business role id of the one for which it wasn't working and then try testing whether the transaction launcher is triggering. But the transaction launcher screen is still not opening even after doing this.
Probably there's something else too which is causing the problem. Request your inputs on this,
