Default Color of Blank Slide

I am in PhotoShop Elements 5 Slide Show Editor. I have inserted a blank slide and want its color to be blue. I have some pictures that don't fill the screen and I want the background color (on the right and left of the picture) to be black. When I go to preferences I can change the slide show background color to blue but that also changes the color on the sides of the narrow picture to blue. Is there some way to have a blank side color be blue and the background color of a narrow picture to be black without having to edit each individually?

>I have inserted a blank slide and want its color to be blue.
Leave the background color at its default black in Preferences.
Then, after you insert the blank slide,
Method 1
Look at the panels on the right of the slide show preview area and you should see a
b Properties
palette window. It has a Backgound Color square that you click on and it brings up a Color Picker window, from which you can choose your blue color.
Method 2
Right click on that new slide in the small images across the bottom and choose
b Change Background Color
from the right click menu. Use the Color Picker window.
After you have done one slide in the color that you want (with either method)
You can use the
b Edit menu
to
b Copy
that blank (now blue color) slide and
b Paste
it wherever in the slide show you want an additional blue slide.

  • Creating blank slide in slideshow

    Is there a way to create a blank slide for a slideshow in iPhoto? A few weeks ago, Old Toad made a reference to doing this for his slideshows, but I wasn't sure if this was an option available just in iDVD.

    Use an application that will let you give the background a color if you don't want a blank white slide. Any freeware image editor can create a new, blank canvas of any size you decide and can add color to it before saving as a jpg. A couple are Acorn and Seaside. Some text editors will also let you change the background color. The the print to pdf method that Terence mentioned will get you want you want. You can even create title slides that way.

  • Blank slide when scroll a web page

    hi
    when i tried to capture a web page and i scroll down, the programm just creates blank slides. i tried several times in different computers but it always did the same.
    what am i doing wrong?
    thanks

    Since you've raised it as an issue, I guess that you're getting the blank page instead of the scrolled down page, rather than in addition to it? And that you're using automatic recording, not full motion recording?
    For some reason your browser is indicating a change when it starts to redraw the content, but not after.
    Easy solution: listen out for the camera shutter sounds as Cp takes an automatic capture, and if you're not sure that the screen has fully redrawn itself when you hear the sound, just press the button to manually grab a screen - by default it's PrtScrn.

    You can go to the Maps browser and find black and colored slides you can use as a background.

  • Exporting Tifs:Default Color Space is sRGB

    I'm flabbergasted.
    Again, without warning, Aperture is altering my files. This seems to be part of the design philosophy.
    Go to Output>Export Version.
    From the drop down you can choose a variety of formats. Go to the bottom to Edit...
    And you will see that the default color space for all formats except PSD is sRGB.
    As if that weren't bad enough, there is an option for Black Point Compensation (off by default) and a Gamma slider......with no preview.
    Even with Source Profile selected (shouldn't THAT be the default for heaven's sake?) the black point compensation button and the gamma slider are available to be invoked.
    fp

    It's even WORSE than that:
    I exported a tif from Apeture:
    8bit
    Source profile
    I sent the same master to Photoshop, converted it to 8bit and saved as a Tif with LZW compression.
    First off, since you cannot specify compression when exporting from Aperture the Aperture file was twice as large, 35.1mb vs. 17.3mb for Photoshop.
    But that's not the bad part.
    The Bad part is that the Aperture file had suffered visible damage in the conversion with a visible loss of shadow detail. The Photoshop version had not.
    I tried this a number of times. Interestingly each time I specified Source Profile the dialog box had returned to sRGB when I checked it again. But that wasn't the problem.
    When I changed the export to 16bit tif instead of 8 bit two things happend:
    First, Aperture created not one, but two exports of the same file on my hard drive. I trashed them and tried it again with the same results.
    Second, the 16bit Aperture tif looked very much like the 8bit Photoshop tif. UNTIL I converted the 16bit Aperture tif to 8bit at which point the shadows fell apart just like they had in the 8bit Aperture conversions.
    Very, very bad.

  • How to remove the orange default color of the first cell in an ALV report

    Hello all,
    I have coded an ALV grid report (in ABAP object) and when I execute it, I saw that the first cell containing data, in the top left corner of the ALV grid is always colored in orange by default. This bothers me because I have colored this cell in green (if I select an other line in my grid, I can clearly see that my top left cell is colored in green).
    Does anyone knows how to "desactivate" this orange default color ?
    Thanks for your answer.
    Best regards
    Cyril S.

    Thanks Uwe and Rainer,
    Unfortunately, I tried what you mentioned both and nothing works.
    As you said, it seems mandatory that a cell must be selected by default in an ALV grid.
    That's a pity because this "ugly orange" hides my beautiful green color.
    I will answer my customer that it is not possible. That's all.
    Thank you for your help. I did appreciate.
    Best regards
    Cyril S.

  • Is there a way to change the default colors for iPad apps?

    I noticed one of my friends iPad 2 had a different color scheme for apps and I would like to change my iPad 2's default ( which is currently grey). To elaborate, the default color for the borders and tabs in Safari are grey on my iPad, my friends are blue. Would like to change from the drab grey color to blue also but I cannot find a setting for this. All applications and Setup apps have this default color scheme on my ipad. Do I have to reset the iPad and start over with setup to achieve this? Hope not, perhaps someone can shed some light on an easy way to do this. Thank You!

    You can apply  system-wise "negative" color effect under Settings > General > Accessibility, by toggling the White and Black switch - and, in iCab Mobile (and some other, better browsers / PDF readers), its own "night mode" negative color scheme.
    Otherwise, no, you can't do anything else except for asking third party app authors to add selectable back/froeground (=text) colors to their apps.

  • Can I change the default color of a calendar event?

    I have a couple calendars that will be using the overlay functionality in 2010, and chosing colors for the overlays is no problem.  However the main calendar defaults to green, and then when you open any of the overlay calendars their default color
    is green on their calendar but different on the main version.  Is there a way I can change the default so that either the main calendar doesn't show green (then each overlay owner wouldn't be confused), or to change the seperate overlay calendars to have
    their default match the selected overlay color?Denzel

    Hi Denzel,
    SharePoint 2010 calendar makes use of CALENDARV4.CSS file.  The default location of this file is [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033\STYLES\Themable\]
    Search for .ms-acal-item element in this CSS file and make changes to
    background-color property to suit your requirement.  A trial and error method could allow you to achieve your functionality.
    CAUTION: Kindly make backup of your original CALENDARV4.CSS file, before making any changes.
    There is a good reference/sample of Calendar Styles by Heather Solomon for earlier SharePoint version 2007 here:
    http://www.heathersolomon.com/blog/archive/2007/11/20/SharePoint-Calendar-CSS--Clean-and-Condensed.aspx
    Additionally, please make use of Internet Explorer 8 Developer Tools (F12) to further explore the overlay calendar CSS.  Hope this helps.

  • How to get default color of a selected row in a JLIst

    I have a JList that I am changing the font color for based on a certian situation so I created my own MyCellRenderer to do this. However, when I select an item in the list the row is no longer highlighted. I used the isSelected method to determine if a row was selected and then change the background color of that row. However, I would like the color to be the default color that you get when you select a row in a default JList. I can't seem to figure out how to get that color. How do I obtain what that color is? I found an example where you can get the default color for the background of a button and use that color so I would guess it is something similar to that. My code is below so I hope someone can tell me how to get that color that I want.
    Thanks...Chris
    class MyCellRenderer extends JLabel implements ListCellRenderer {
         public MyCellRenderer() {
              setOpaque(true);
         public Component getListCellRendererComponent(
             JList list,
             Object value,
             int index,
             boolean isSelected,
             boolean cellHasFocus)
             int index1 = value.toString().indexOf("-");
               String errors = value.toString().substring(index1 + 1, index1 + 6).trim();
             int numErrors = Integer.parseInt(errors);
               if (numErrors > 0)
                      setForeground(Color.red);
                      setBackground(Color.white);
             else
                  setBackground(Color.white);
                  setForeground(Color.black);
             if(isSelected)
                  //ColorUIResource col = (ColorUIResource)UIManager.getDefaults().get("JButton.background");
                  ColorUIResource col = (ColorUIResource)UIManager.getDefaults().get("Button.background");
                  setBackground(col);
             setText(value.toString());
             return this;
    }

    I would like the color to be the default color that you get when you select a row in a default JList. I can't seem to figure out how to get that colorlist.getSelectionBackground();

  • Default Colors Limit for Graph in OBIEE 11g

    Hi, I'm using OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.6.6)
    When I use a graph (either bar or pie), I notice that OBIEE only has 12 default colors to use in the graph. So it starts from blue, red, and so forth, until the 12th color, then for the 13th color it will use the same blue again, and so forth.
    The problem is that my column values are more than 12 (it could be 20, it could be 30, etc). So, the repeating colors doesn't make any sense for the graphs.
    Could somebody please advise me on how to increase the default number of default colors used by OBIEE (so that it will be like 50 default colors set automatically by OBIEE, just in case)?
    Thanks so much!

    Hi,
    type HexaDecimal colors in google you will find n number of colors with the code number, just use this color codes by adding# before every code in the column format properties.
    for ex: #ccc99
    Follow this follwoing link

  • How do I change the default color in pages.

    How do I change the default color in pages.  Everytime I try to copy and paste a passage, I am unable to do so because it seems that the ink is always white on white.  Sometimes I am lucky and can change it using the color box in the format bar, but it's a rarity when I'm able to do it.

    What version of Pages & what version of OS X are you using?
    A problem with an early Software Update for Snow Leopard caused a lot of problems. The problem is not whether or not your system is the current version but how it got there. You must use the combo updater, not the one from Software Update unless it specifically states it is the combo. Software Update will only offer the combo if your system is two or more versions behind.
    If you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 (or '08 if that's what you're using) folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

    When creating a fillable form and saving it as a pdf, the default color of the data fields is a light blue. How do I change the color to something else that will copy better, e.g. a light yellow?

    It's probably the fields highlight color of the application, which you can change via Edit - Preferences - Forms.

  • Change Default Color Profile in New Image Document ?

    I've looked and looked, and even Googled.  Anyone know how to change the default color profile when you start a New image file?  In CS5 mine defaults to sRGB (Under the Advanced drop down) but my CS6 is ProPhoto RGB which means I have to change it manually nearly every time I paste an image copied via right click in a web browser.

    I think it the same on windows. If I copy things to the clipboard with Photoshop that the document profile seem to be used there when I do a paste there are no color issues.  However if I use Prtscn or Alt+PrtScn to capture screen content.  I'll see that the colors are wrong when I paste the clipboard into a new document if my default color space is not sRGB. Then I need to assign sRGB to the document to correct the colors.
    If I paste a screen capture into the current document the color can be very off and I will not get a prompt on the color mismatch. Therefore I don't think a screen capture has any profile associated with it. And of course the screen has a much lower resolution then the images I edit. So there is also a big size difference. Here is one scaled to 100% zoom after the paste. You can see both the color and resolution difference.  This capture was assigned to sRGB so you will see what the screen looks like after the paste and zoom to 100%.
