Default Payment Block in Invoices & Down-Payment

Hi Experts,
I want that Payment block to applied to any Invoices / Down-Payment Requests posted in that Vendor's Account.
I have assigned payment block indicator in the Vendor's Master. but still when i post a Invoice / Down-Payment Request, the Payment Block is not assigned by default.
please help me in case if i missing any config part.

Hi
If you want the Payment Block to be applied to any Invoice posted in a Vendor Master, give a Payment Term in the Vendor Master and in the Payment term give the Payment Block.
The Payment Block given in the Payment terms which is assigned in the Vendor Master will carried on to the Invoices.
Kindly check out for Down Payment requests whether it is carried or not.

Venkat

Step1: Post down payment request F-47
Step2: Post down payment against request F110
When your getting this payment block.

  • What is the difference between prepayment invoice & down payment

Can anybody tell me the whole process for creating prepayment invoice with T-Codes & difference between prepayment vendor invoice & down payment.
    thanks in advance

    Hi Surya,
The petroleum industry is usually divided into three major components: Upstream, midstream and downstream, though midstream operations are usually included in the downstream category.
Upstream - Upstearm oil sector is a term commonly used to refer to the searching for and the recovery and production of crude oil and natural gas. The upstream oil sector is also known as the exploration and production (E&P) sector.
The upstream sector includes the searching for potential underground or underwater oil and gas fields, drilling of exploratory wells, and subsequently operating the wells that recover and bring the crude oil and/or raw natural gas to the surface.
MiddleStream - The midstream industry processes, stores, markets and transports commodities such as crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids (LNGs, mainly ethane, propane and butane) and sulphur.
DownSTream - The downstream oil sector is a term commonly used to refer to the refining of crude oil, and the selling and distribution of natural gas and products derived from crude oil. Such products include liquified petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline or petrol, jet fuel, diesel oil, other fuel oils, asphalt and petroleum coke.

    Hi,
Generally we use Payment block for Automatic payments with Tcode F110.
If you would like to use payment block for normal payment, Create a new payment block or change existing payment block Tick Manual payment block option.
Path :- Out going pamyment --> OG payments global settings --> Define payment block reasons..

Our client has 2 transactions in their Suspense Account:
    1. Incoming Payment: Type = Other and have posted an amount to a G/L Suspense Account.

When they go into the Suspense account to perform an internal reconciliation, the system errors with a message - "Payment transactions applied to down payment requests cannot be reconciled here"

    Hi Heather,
I have found the same problem too.
In SAP Business 2005A, we allow to do Internal Reconciliation on this Downpayment Request with 100% and the Invoice.
The only differences is this Invoice with status Closed.
But In SAP Business 2007A, we not allow to do Internal Reconciliation on this Downpayment Request with 100% and the Invoice.
The only differences is this Invoice with status Open compared in 2005A.
I have checked in both version 2005A and 2007A Journal Entry, there is nothing wrong on it.
Why this happen in version 2007A?
Hope Jitin can answer our Question.

  • Error when posting Down payment with reference to down payment request

    Hi Experts,
In October of 2010 we upgraded from version SAP 4.7 to version 604 SAPKH60406.
With this upgrade we decided to select the following FM setting:
"Flag to activate down payment request update to PO history"
If this flag is set, down payment requests are updated to the purchase order history. In addition, when you create a down payment referencing this down payment request , the down payment request is cleared by the down payment.
Use- Set this flag if you want to see the down payment requests  in the purchase order history.
So, since October 2010, the Down payment requests have been updated to the PO history (note - no update of the down payment request was made to the PO status tab) and the down payments (made with reference to the down payment request) have been clearing the DP requests.
Today we have applied packages SAPKH60407 - SAPKH60409 and we are in the process of testing.
Now we are experiencing errors when processing down payments:
    1. create the down payment request (F-47) - this is OK
    2. create the down payment (F-48) with reference to the down payment request - ERROR MESSAGE F5373 - "Order value will be exceeded"
Can anyone please explain why this is happening?  We would like to keep the "Flag to activate DPR update to PO history" ON
as it has been since October 2010.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

  • Block Vendor Invoice payment & Block Vendor Invoice

    Dear Colleagues,
How can Vendor Invoice payment be blocked using  F-53 / F- 58 ? any config. req ?
I know that at F110 level payment can be blocked if in the Vendor Master , payment block is ticked.
How Vendor invoice be blocked at FB60 level ? any config. req ?
    Thnks
    Vinod

    Hi Vinod
If you want to block all invoices for a particular vendor, please use the option payment block in the vendor master data. By using one payment block method, you would be able to block all the invoices for that vendor.
If you want to block some invoices for a vendor or a group of vendors, please create a new payment term and in the details, please give a default payment block method in the master and also tick the box for it. Everytime you create invoices and you want to block it, please use the payment term creat for this purpose.
Please let me know if you need any further information on this. Please do award points if fond useful.

  • Payment block at invoice level

    Hi,
Hope you all are doing well.
We've upgraded our SAP system from R/3 to ECC 6.0 and are facing the
    following problem while testing it
While posting a vendor invoice through transaction FB60,
-In R/3, user cannot modify Payment Block (BSEG-ZLPSR). The default
-In ECC 6.0, user can modify Payment Block (BSEG-ZLPSR) from its
default value 'A' to any other.
What our requirement is we don't want users to change payment block. It
should be set to its default value 'A', can only be udpated through
transaction FB02 and also shouldn't be dependent on Payment Terms which
is currently being done in SAP R/3.
We checked configuration in Transactions OB27, OBBH for any
substitution, default Values for Pmnt Block & Maintain payment
    terms.
Also, we haven't configured any workflow for releasing payment.
    Regards,
    -N

    Sorry that was not complete
enter following line item validation (OB28)
    Pre-requisite:
    ( SYST-TCODE = 'FB60' OR SYST-TCODE =
    'F-43' )
    AND BSEG-ZLSPR = 'A'
    Check
    BSEG-ZLSPR = 'A'
This is based on the assumtion that payment block "A" is getting defaulted.  But if this is defaulted through a substitution, then this validation will not work

  • Adding payment through DI API referring to Correction Invoice/Down Payment

    Dear All,
In SBO 2004C (PL 72) I have to add incoming payment referring to correction invoices and down payment invoices.
In Payments_Invoices Object there is and InvoiceType Property which should be set to the object type of the referred document. Having set this to it_Invoice, it_CredItnote and it_JournalEntry it works fine, but I cannot find a working value for  Correction invoices and Downpayments.
In BoRcptInvTypes Enumeration there is a it_CorrectionInvoice member, but it does not work. DownPayment member does not exist at all.
Instead of Enumerations members DI API acepts numeric object type values 13, 14, 30 which works just as the above it_Invoice etc. does, but Correction invoice's object type 165  just does not work
    Has anyone experience with this?
Is is really not possible to add invoice type payments referring to these documents through DI?
    Any ideas are welcome.
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards.
    Bálint

    Hi
It is possible in 2005 Clusters But i am not sure in 2004 C.
In 2005 DI API accepts Enumerations members ,In Which Both it_CorrectionInvoice,DownPayment  Exists and i hope these works fine 2005.

  • Payment block due to Vendor Payment Terms/Method.

    Hi All
We have a situation where we have a payment block due to difference in amount while doing MIRO and PO. (An entry gets created in RBKP_BLOCKED table with Log. Payment Block = 'A'). When we release blocked invoices after changing the PO amount through t code MRBR (selected release automatically), it changes the log payment block field from 'A' to 'M' but the entry remains there.
This is happening only for foreign vendors and that too with payment terms 'CV06' (Automatic Payment). For domestic vendors it removes the entry from RBKP_BLOCKED table all together which we want in case of foreign vendors as well.
    Thanks in advance.
    Harsh

    HI,
There is a Quality Block (Block.reason: quality) check Box active in the MIRO,untill we have cleared the Stock from quality inspection.
So we have to write in the Exit below
    EXIT_SAPLMRMP_010-ZXM08U16-----MIRO
if this indicator SPGRC is "X" Configure an error message that material is in Quality inspection.
    Hope so it helps
