Default Printer with Particular Size

Hi Experts,
Am facing one issue, I have attached various documents with various sizes in the DMS(Document Management System), but while taking the print by multiple selection I want the output to be in the particular size for all the documents which are attached in the DMS.
How can this be achieved.
Regards,
Thirupathi

It already is the default printer in 'Printer Setup Utility' .... however in Photoshop via 'Page Set Up' it is not .
Anyone else out there have any ideas?

Nothing has changed in CS6 with respect to creating Artboards. File>New and choose Print in the document type profile.

  • Can a PDF be made to by default print with "flip on short edge" set if printed double-sided?

I'm producing a 4-side, 1-sheet PDF booklet download. Our main target audience is professionals (not necessarily tech-profecient) who will download it and print it on regular office printers. Most modern office printers can print double-sided, so we expect people to print it on one sheet, fold it in the middle, and use it like that.
This gives us a problem: the default setting for double-sided printing in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat appears to be to flip on the long edge. For a folded booklet, this results in the centre pages printing upside down. I, personally, know how to change this setting - but our audience won't, and we've found that even within our own tightly controlled office network, the options for changing this setting are in different places for different people - so giving everyone who downloads it instructions on how to change the setting will be difficult. I'm tech profecient enough to confidently poke around in the various printer settings dialogs until I find it, but most of our audience won't be, and many people will get it wrong even with basic guidance telling them what to look for.
The "Flip on long edge" default appears to be based on the assumption that printed documents are to be held and read portrait, regardless of how they are printed. Is there any way to set a PDF to instruct Adobe Reader etc that this document is to be read landscape (or, folded), so that it can know to flip on the short edge by default for this particular document?
I'm not fussy about what software I use to create or edit the PDF. I'm using InDesign at the moment but will happily use Acrobat, or even hack the code of the PDF with a text editor, if that's what makes it work. I'm asking on the Adobe Reader board since it's not so much a question of how to set this, as whether there is anything in Adobe Reader that is actually capable of interpreting and acting on such information from a PDF.
Another type of answer that could solve my problem is, is there some universal way to set "Flip on short edge" where the steps the user follows are the same regardless of whether they are using Reader or Acrobat, PC or Mac, and regardless of specific printer drivers or printer software?

  • Print with paper size custom?

Hi, how to print width paper size defined by me?, actually printjob class have the selectpapersize method  with differents sizes(a4, a3, a5, letter, etc), but i need have a paper size custom,  example 500x450

Unfortunately, there isn't a customer print size api at this time.  However, there are two things I'd recommend.  First, I'd like to encourage you to cast your vote for the the existing feature requests on our ideas.adobe.com site (here and here).
You might also want to take a look at this post, which describes how you might be able to work around this with a bit of trial and error.

  • Setting default printer with printers deployed via print management

Would like to set default printer on a windows 7 workstation to a printer deployed through group policy using print management.  However whenever machine reboots the defualt changes to a local printer XPS or something else.
HOw can I set the default printer to one of the deployed printers?

Even though this is a "machine" connection, the connection is created in each users security context.  Default printers are tied to user profiles and settings.
I'm sure what is happening is the connection is getting created after the system sets a default or the network path is not yet available when the default printer is set.
You can use prnmngr.vbs to get and set the default.  If get returns XPS printer, then set can change to one of the valid connections.

  • How to set default printing in black only

    Greetings,
I'd like to set my default printing with Firefox at black ink only, which I can do individually prior to printing a page, but it reverts to color after that printing. But if I set the size at, say, 80%, that becomes the default setting, or if I set portrait/landscape for a single printing, that becomes the default setting. Why can't the desired black-ink only setting default like the size/portrait/landscape setting? What I want to do is set the printing permanently at black only, and the size at 100%, but allow one-time printing at landscape or portrait, or sizes less than 100% without those settings becoming the default. How can I do this? Thanks for any help
    Best wishes, Tom
I've tried the help solutions on the website to no avail....

    Greeting ideato,
Thanks so much for your reply. I've clicked on the Firefox button at upper left, then Print, then Properties, then Advanced, under which is listed Printer Features (I have only 1 printer), below which is a line with Print in Grayscale, clicking on which has has 3 options: Off (apparently default), High quality Grayscale, and Black Ink Only. I click on the latter, and click on OK for this window and others in the sequence, and it'll print in black only for the present printing, but will revert to color for the next printing, 'though like I said, if I change the size to 80% or from portrait to landscape, those settings will remain. I can't figure it out. Again, thanks for any help.

  • How to make Firefox reset printing to Default Printer and Settings at Startup

Earlier versions of Firefox and most Windows programs that I know of, start by using the default printer with default settings. If you change them, they stay changed for that session, but once you close the program and re-start it, you are back to a clean slate. V3.6 of Firefox now remembers settings such as portrait/landscape, zoom settings, etc. I find myself throwing out paper because I zoomed in on a certain document on Friday, then on Monday inadvertently print 20 pages of a normal page because Firefox remembered the zoom and I forgot about it. I would hate to HAVE to do a print preview EVERY time I printed because I couldn't count on the default settings. Thanks for your help.

Here's a great link with a fix that worked for me.

  • Print at actual size?

I know this is an incredibly silly question, but how do I print an image in LR2 at it's actual size?
I've been away from using the LR print module for quite a long time, and I just cannot see how to do it!  For example, if I have a 2 in x 3 in photo, when I go to the Print module it is stretched to full screen.  No amount of checking and unchecking options is bringing me to show it at actual size.
I know it must be totally obvious, but how do I do it?
    Thanks.

LR does not use the image size ( x pixels width, y pixels height, n pixels per inch, thus an image has a size of a by b inch) you are referring to,
so it does not give you a print with given size as such with a simple check button or similar.
It looks at images as being  x by y pixels, and when printing asks the user the print-size of the image,
and with what resolution to print that image: xxx ppi.
It will then up-res or down-res during the print process to meet the stated ppi (but leave the source image untouched).
You have to set up a print template with a cell size as you want, e.g. 2 x 3 inch, using the commands in the right panel,
and if you want to re-use it, save it as a template.
Then when you want to print an image, select this template and it will show the selected image in that cell size.

  • Acrobat reader defaulting to 51% zoom size when opening and printing Report

We are publishing reports on a web-integrated acrobat reader. All the reports work fine except for 1 report. The problem with this particular report is that when it opens up in the acrobat reader, it's zoom size automatically defaults to 51%. Then when we print it in landscape mode, it prints with the same zoom-size settings. Even if we try printing after expanding the zoom size to 100%, it still prints to the smaller size and leaves nearly 40% of the paper blank. It works ok with client-server settings as well as when we use HTML or HTMLCSS format to print on the browser. We are using the run_report_object built-in to open the report which is a parameter report.
Other reports with identical settings work and print fine. Is this a Oracle Reports problem or acrobat problem.
We are using Forms 6.0.8.19.2, Reports v6.0.8.18.0, iAS v1.0.2.2.2a, Acrobat reader v5.0, IE 5.5 with SP2, Windows 2000 Server.
Report fonts are Courier New with size 6.
    Any ideas/solutions aprreciated. Thanks!

    And so.. what is invalid?
I've uploaded the pdf files as example:
    My generated pdf
    http://compuhelp.free.fr/adobe/before.pdf
The modified version by Adobe Acrobat Reader:
    http://compuhelp.free.fr/adobe/after.pdf
(I can generate a more complexe pdf file with fonts, images,... it will be displayed correctly, but Adobe always want to modifiy it).
So perhaps I missed somthing into the pdf file format specification ?

  • Printing Problem with custom size paper in Illustrator

Hi having problems with my custom sized paper print using my canon printers it's the same on both the ip100 and the pro-100s,  it was printing fine until i've updated my illustrator and mac os Yosemite, it prints the image at a reduced size on the paper to what it should be does anyone have any understanding of this? I've tried everything i know, is this a driver or system problem?

Hi there wasn't an option to set the default printer to pdf where would I do this?
I've done a bit of a work around that seems to be working. I've put the page set up as A4 and then clicked on the printer utility custom settings and then unticked detect paper width, so I can put through the paper I want just got to tweak the x and y to get it right, its not the best but sitting here for four hours trying to figure it out, it will have to do for now. Thanks Jacob for your help, no doubt I'll be back in the morning, I'm burnt out now!

  • Defaults for 'Print with comments summary'

    Hi,
I'm working in Acrobat Pro 7, and often need to use "Print with comments summary". This always launches with paper size set to "letter" and layout set to "Document and comments with sequence numbers on separate pages". But I always want "A4" and "Document and comments with connector lines on single pages". Is there any way I can make this the default?

    Anybody?

  • How can I make US letter the default print size in PSE12

How can I make US letter the default print size in PSE12

Clips from JVC Everio camcorders have always had this problem with Premiere Elements (all versions). You need to select Interpret Footage.
See this FAQ from PE version 2, step 3. Like I said it has been this way with all versions:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc1265c
You might be able to use this tool to change the header of your MOD files so they are seen as 16:9: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVDPatcher
Or use this program (SDCopy) to download the video's from the cam, it will allow you to copy straight from the cam to your PC and auto renames and corrects the aspect ratio.

  • My default print size has changed to 130%.  I have tried everything to change it back to 100%.  Any suggestions?

My Mac Mail default print size has somehow changed from 100% to 130%.  I have tried everything to change it back to 100% with no resolve.  Help!

I'm using Tiger right now, but I believe Leopard is the same. Select Page Setup from the Menu. Input 100% in the Scale block. Then at the top of the Page Setup window, click the arrow on Settings & change from Page Attributes to Set As Default.

  • Default Network Printer With Roaming Profile

I have one user, only one out of 50+, whose roaming profile keep changing the default printer upon log in. I have verified that it is her profile, not her computer, as when I log in to a different computer the same issue happens. I have verified her
roaming profile is uploading the registry key for the default printer correctly so I know that is correct. The problem is with the default printer being a network printer.
To explain better lets say she has 2 local printers, Local1 and Local2, and 2 networked printers, Network1 and Network2. If she has Local1 set as default, log off and log on, Local1 is still the default. In the same way if Local2 is the default, log off
and log on, Local2 is still the default. If either Network1 or Network2 are set as default, log off, check the ntuser.dat hive and ensure that the registry key still states that Network1 is the defaulter, log on, and Local1 is now the default. I assume there
must be something in her profile that is forcing the local printers to default rather than the networks.
The local printers not not physical printers but rather virtual such as Adobe PDF Converter or Send to One Note. If I remove all these local printers, set Network1 as default, log out and in, then Network1 is the default rather than no default. So I know
it isn't the fact that the profile is not connecting to the network. The problem is the user uses those virtual printers so they need to be installed.
There is only one user that has this problem so I assume it is a setting/registry key that is causing the roaming profile to pick a local printer rather than what is stored as default.
We do not use GPP to push printers so I cannot edit a GPO for this users and set her default that way. I need Windows to be able to natively set the printer, without log in scripts or anything of the sort.
Does anyone have a clue what would cause this? If I can explain better or provide any more information please let me know.

    Hi,
This problem caused by Registry key problem, you can access to the path below and clear all the subkey of the registry:
    HKEY_USERS\USERS_SID_HERE\Printers\Connections
    HKEY_USERS\USERS_SID_HERE\Printers\Settings key
Note: to identify the User SID, please follow the steps below:
Open Registry Editor and navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion \ProfileList
Under the ProfileList key, you will see the SIDs. By selecting each one individually, you can look at the value entry and see what user name is associated with that particular SID.
After remove all the subkey, restart your computer to check the problem.
