Default values for fields in infotype 0017

Is there any way to set default values for fields in infotype 0017? Maybe a
feature? I'm thinking about defaulting values based on pay scale group.

You can implement what i suggested in my previous post.
Or else, you can do what we did in one of our client requirement.
We created a custom Ztable where we had defined which value of the the employee grouping to be placed for which record.
We did that on the basis of the company code fields.
For eg: IF BUKRS = 'TR01'
then EE Grp Expense Type = '1'.
ENDIF.
Similarly for other fields.

Setting Default values for field using custom.pll

I have an rquirement to set the default values on Meterial Tranasction screen for some condition
I tried it in both ways via Form Personalization and using custom.pll

Problem is that default values are getting set but not for all rows . if there are 4 records then values are set for only first 2 rows and if there are 2 rows then defaults are set for 1st row only.
Same behaviour happens when i do it via form personalization
i couldn't understand the behaviour of WHILE-VALIDATE-RECORD event..
Please provide some suggestion on it. its really urgent.

How to set the default values for fields

Hi all,
How to show the default values without changing the existing code in the CO for the seeded page.
I have requirement like one drown box in that three values are there. On page load the item is empty , but i have to show first value as default value. Is this possible through personalization..
Can any body have idea pls give some suggession.

Considering you don't want to go for controller extension..
A way is to use java script in personalization.
Simply create a RawTextBean using personalization and add the java code to change the properties.
Java script plan:
Get the handle of the items to change (like here drop down)
selectTags=document.getElementsByTagName('select') --gives list of all the select tags in the page
get ID of the select tag whose value you want to change (loop throug selectTags array).
or get it directly by getElementsByName method or getElementsByID mETHOD.
Say its handle is changeItemID.
changeItemID.selectedIndex=2

It is working when ID value is with char
if the ID value is number
Iam not able to set the default value it is giveing error setAttributeName("ID") at this line

Define "default" value for field in ME51N

Hello experts,
I have the following requirment:
1) Export AUFNR to memory and execute(call transaction) me51n
2) On inserting new service lines to the item, I must import the field value and automatically set the aufnr.
My question is how should I try to do this. I've tried BADI ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST but I think there isn't any method that meets this requirement. Another question, is this even possible?

Yes I will probably try that route. I found an exit which seemed to be perfect EXIT_SAPLMLSK_001, but for some reason it doesn't stop on my break-point. The enhancement is activated, so i don't know why it doesn't stop.

In the INITIALIZATION event we can set the default values for selection screen fields.

How set default value in field of new infotype

We have created a new infotype 9002. This infotype has two mandatories fields, one with the amount and another with the currency.
The currency always will be 'EUR', for this reason we would like to assign the default value for this field and the user only should fill the amount field.
How we should assing the default value to the field we have created in a new infotype 9002?

Another option here will be to enhance infotype 9002 screen 2000 PBO logic. Add a PBO module with the following logic:

How to set a default value for particular field in SRM PO Portal

Dear Gurus,
Im desparetly need a help in web dynpro on how to set a default value for a field(flag) in PO header tab in portal.
My requirement is whenever the user press the edit button in PO screen,automatically a flag field should be set as abap_false.
I dont think this will handle in check badi or change badi. i tried this part in onbuttonpressed overwriteexit in CNR_VIEW views,i can get the function EDIT in debugging mode,but dont know how to proceed further.....
Many of them suggested to go with get attribute and set attribute for changing any particular field in web dynpro,but im not very familiar in using those get and set attributes.I request you people can give me sample code on how to identify my target field in the node and set the values while pressing EDIT Button.

My real requirement is, that particular flag should be enable and disable dynamically by checking a condition in my header values.So in that case i dont know how to proceed further to handle in the PO screen.

Default value for Read-Only Picklist Field

Hi, all--
I would like to have a default value ("Undetermined") for the "Associated Account" read-only picklist value. I have an account record of this value for this purpose. This is because if there is no value in the field, the record will not be included in a report that includes the field. I do not want to make the field required at this point.
Field management doesn't appear to allow any default value for read-only picklists. Does anyone know how to get around this, either at the lead record stage or at the lead report stage (without resorting to an analytic, which won't work for what we are doing)?

That's a great question. It doesn't appear as though you can select it from the typical method of Admin | Application Customization | Lead | Lead Field Setup | Associated Account.

Modify default value for static parameter field programmatically

Hi,
I have my Crystal Reports stored in a BO Enterprise system. I have written a java programm that scans the repository, loads the CR reports one by one into a ReportClientDocument, modifies the data source and then stores the updated report back to repository (it overwrites the existing objects).
I was even able to modify the default values for the parameters, which are used for scheduling of each report.
But what I am trying to do know is to overwrite the default value used when invoking the report interactively. This should be the value found under the Default Value field, when the Properties window of the parameter is opened in the CR designer.
This is what I have tried so far:
Option 1: First I tried to set the default values using com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.ReportClientDocument.getDataDefinition().getParameterFieldController().getField(...).getDefaultValues() . The only thing I have managed to do using this approach is to modify the static LOVs that are associated to static parameters. The actual selected value (shown under Default Value in the Properties window for the given parameter field) remained unchanged, when invoking the report in the InfoView or opening it in the CR designer.
Option 2: I have used com.crystaldecisions.sdk.plugin.desktop.report.IReport.getReportParameters().get(ik).getDefaultValues() to change the default values. I was able to see my changes in the BO repository (using a query on CI_INFOOBJECTS), still the changes did not really have an impact to what is displayed as default value when invoking the report in the InfoView.
Any help will be appreciated.
It would be great to know if someone of you has already implemented successfully such a use-case.

In InfoPath 2013 in use with SharePoint 2013, how do you set a Default Value for Person/Group Picker fields? Other field types like Text Boxes have a Default Value section in the Data tab of Properties. There doesn't appear to be any equivalent for
the Person/Group Picker field type in Properties. I'd like to set a default person for a few fields in a form I've created. Is this possible?
Part 2:
The default user I want to set for one of those Person/Group fields is the "current user." I want a user to log into our SharePoint 2013 intranet, load a new form for edit/creation, and have one of the Person/Group fields in that form to

You can auto populate your InfoPath farm with current user Name and all other property that you have in your User profile, you have couple of options.
First you can make a secondary connection in your InfoPath form with user profile and can use the UserProfileService.asmx and call the GetUserProfileByName method. Here is the steps you can follow.

Set default value for parameter fields

Good day!
Situation:
1. I have 2 parameter fields in reports (dateFrom and dateTo)
2. Before running report in ASP.NET I change value this fields (dateTo = today, dateFrom = today - 3 days)
3.I use for this source:

5. BUT!!! now I need request value parameter fields before report start running - I want set default values for filelds and offer user change its before report start run.

I believe you need to create your own parameter promt screen. Capture what the user entered and pass that to the report(?).
