Define Credit Memo Approval Limits for Approvers in receivables

Hi is there any way we can setup approval of credit memos in receivables to go directly to the persons manager who is inputting the memo ?
much like a requisition does when its sent for approval?
ie it just keeps going up the hierarchy until it finds some one who can approve?

    I've created a wrokflow for the Credit Memo approval and Rejection. The approver is determined throught he rule.
    Its working fine till user decision step but for the task for approval or rejection its not working.
    There is issue with agent assignment for the task. Please specify how to do the agent assignment for the individual task. Because its not working if I specify the rule again.

    I checked the rule explicitly , it is working fine.
    My user decison is a general task only. the user decision si working fine.it goes to the approver , but when approver clicks on approve or rejecty .. nothing happens . Please suggest how to do the agent assignment for approve and reject step.

  • Cancellation / Reversal of Credit memos and Check for payment

    I have few cases where the credit memos and check for payment documents have been keyed with an incorrect posting date.
    What should be best approach to reverse these transactions.

    Hi Somchitra,
    in such situations ideally you would use the cancellation document standing on the original document, alas, a credit memo has no target document.
    You will need to create an invoice with exactly the same data as in the credit memo & then internally reconcile these transactions. If the credit memo was in itself generated from an invoice, you need to cancel that reconciliation first. After that you re-create the credit memo with exactly the same data, just with the correct dates.
    To cancel the cheques for payment you need to cancel the payment itself with the original document date & 'Cancelled' will be put in the 'Remarks' on the cheque.
    You will then need to recreate the payment with the correct dates.
    If you have already confirmed the printing of the cheque, you'll need to issue a new cheque number & destroy the printed copy, if it hasn't been printed, you can select the appropriate number in the 'Cheque number confirmation' window.
    As always when correcting transactions, please keep an eye on the stock transactions & make sure they are correct. Also, for auditing purposes, always enter an approriate text in the 'remarks'.

  • Credit memo not generated for RMA Receipt

    Hi,
    i created RMA receipt but for this credit memo not generated in AR, Manually i have run the Workflow Background Process  & Receiving transaction processor concurrent also. even though CM not generated(In AR Interface lines table also data is not available)..or else is there any possibility for cancel or return the RMA Receipt quantity?

    I have this problem with INTRASTAT declaration:
    Transaction VE08 mark credit memo as not relevant for declaration with this description "No association to a goods movement was found".

    check VE80, if you have an exclusion indicator on the item category.
    If not try to run VE01 for your country and mark only credit memos. Use log type B. Check the message in the incompletion log. If your credit memos are not in the incompletion log, than run the transaction transaction VE08 you run before again. The credit memos should show up, otheriwse let me know what is the message in the incompletion log.
    Check also if you need to show credit memo from legal point. From my point of view it should show only data related to deliveries.

  • Credit memo req- reson for rejection

    Hi,
    I have created one Cred memo req against one invoice( order related invoice). in that iam having 2 line items.
    by mistake for first line item i put reason for rejction in cred memo req then i created a cred memo.
    now the first line item net value is showing as '0' in the creditmemo.
    i have removed the reason for rejection in the credit memo req and saved it. now i want the first line item netprice into the cred memo
    so how can i do it?

    Cancel the credit memo VF11, remove the Reason for rejection from the credit memo request.
    Now you create the credit memo from the credit memo request.

  • Credit Memo Invoice Reference for EDI (Inbound)

    Hello,
    When posting Credit Memos with EDI, SAP is not checking the invoice reference in IDOC segment E1EDK02 QUALF 009 to match the credit memo for vendor invoice that is already posted in the system.
    Is there a note or config that needs to be done to invoke the reference number checking for Credit Memos?
    We are on ECC 5.0 using INVOIC02.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thankyou.  My Credit memo request has the previous date.  Date of Confirmation and service rendered.
    When billing, i am not able to change settings.. as the fields were greyed out.
    I am not too familiar with CRM billing .. but in ECC .. we use the Date Service Rendered.  this date would take the correct VAT effective date.  
    When i go to the item overview, all the fields have been greyed out.   and i am not able to change any fields.  is there somewhere in the settings that i could make the Pricing date and Date Serv. Rendered   editable in the credit memo

  • Credit memo (CM) Approval limits set are not being checked in CM creation

    Hi,
    Customer: ARROW ELECTRONICS INC
    SR: 6502816.993
    Customer has set the approval limits for credit memo in Receivables
    He has set the approval limit as -500 to 0 for a user X.
    Created an invoice for 550 $
    Gone to Ireceivables and created a dispute for the complete amount (-550$) of the invoice.
    Find that the notification is going to the user X even when the amount is not within the approval limits set.
    He is able to approve the notification and it is going to the next level approval.
    Once that is done the credit memo is getting created.
    Checked the packages involved in this.
    ARWCMWFB.pls
    Find that there is no checking of the approval limits in the package.
    Please help me in knowing on whether this is an intended functionality.

    Using HR Hierarchy
    1. Define three approvers A, B, C for the same reason code and with different approval limits (as this is credit memo the guy with highest negative amount has is the final approver).
    2. A reports to B and B reports to C
    3. A is approval limit is from -100 to -500, B can approve from -500 to -1000 and C can approve from -1000 to -1500 (all of them have same reason code and currency code).
    4. Make sure all of them are employees.
    5. Make sure you **DO NOT** check the flag Primary Approver for any of these approval limits in the approval limits screen.
    6. In the employees -- Assignments For A, enter supervisor as B, and For B enter Supervisor as C.
    7.No enter an invoice for 1200 and complete it.
    8. Request for credit from iReceivables for the same invoice for -1200.
    9. Now you can see that the notification will go to B and C for approval.
    Using Approval Limits hierarchy:
    If you do not want to use the employee setup, they can always, use the primary check box. With the same example as above, check the primary check box for A, B and C.
    When you request for credit, first A gets, next B gets it and then C gets it.
    If you check for only C which is the final approver, workflow will send only one notification and once C approves it will forward.
    Ofcourse, before any of these guys are approving, collector assigned to the customer has to approve.
    And after all these approvals one more Role (called Receivable Role which can be anybody according to the WF definition) has to approve before the credit is generated).
    Now, I am not sure what the customer wants. Do they want multiple approvals or single approval? If they want multiple they have to use the first approach. If not they can use the second approach.
    I did a test case again and these comments are the results of the test. I did this on 11.5.9.

  • Work flow - user is not reciving mail,once CREDIT MEMO submits for approval

    Hi All,
    Please find the issue as below.
    User created the credit memo and submitted for approval. user is expecting the mail in his mail-box, once he submitted the credit memo for approval and same way once approver approved the credit memo, user is expecting mail such that credit memo has been approved.
    He informed that previously he is receiving the mails as expected.
    Now all of sudden he is not receiving mails.
    I have checked work flow mailer, mailer is up and running.
    I have gone through the wf_notifications table, here i can see that MAIL_STATUS column having value of "MAIL".
    even i have gone through WF_USERS table this particular user is existing and status is "ACTIVE".
    But user is not yet received any mail.
    Kindly some one help me to sort out this issue.

    I was gone through the details you have provided. every thing is fine as expected.
    Later i have checked workflow mailer, it was down, due to that notifications are not reached to users/customers.once it is up and running mail notifications sent to respective users successfully.

  • Credit memo - Blocked for payment  in MM

    Hi,
    i created a purchase order (ME21N) with 10 quantity and 100 for price for a total amount of 1000 u20AC.
    After i create the corresponding invoice but with 10 quantity and 2000 u20AC for total amount, of course the status is Blocked for price reason.
    So i call my vendor, and he send me a credit memo for 1000 u20AC. Now when i catch on the credit memo in reference to the invoice the system block also this document, perfectly but is there a workflow standard to manage this process ? i would like to deblock this credit memo.

    Hi,
    In your case try to run the trasaction and find the business object associated for credit memo. The process is as follows.
    The SWELS is event trace and this is used to find the business Object and event triggered when a trasaction is executed.
    Example: i want to know what is the Business object and event triggered when a sales order is created. In this case i will switch on the event trace and run va01 and create a sales order. Now i again go to swels and switch of the event trace.
    Now go to display event trace(swel), here you can find bus2032 and event created. so this business object and event can be used to trigger your workflow.
    Once you are able to find the business object. Open swo1 t-code and enter the business object and click on where used list. you wil find all the Workflows assigned to that business object. if ther is any standard workflow you can directly use it else you can develop the a custom workflow.

    Rate column is not displaying for credit memo request. suppose credit memo should be given due price diifererence
    with referance to billing documnet credit memo request to rised. but if i want to edit rate column is not available.
    how vat and discount has to be captured in case of rate diifferance for credit memo.
    In case of returns will taxes applicable for returns credit memo
    Gl accounts for credit memo same as billing or different GL accounts to be maintained or not
    client has the scenario that if credit memo request has been rised for with referance to billing due to rate differance.
    If customer returns materilas belongs to same billing. so based on the returns order returns credit memo to be rised .
    But how the sap captures exact price of the materila during returns. ie; price modified during credit memo request.

  • Credit Memo Request already exists for item & 1 , & 2, etc

    Hi SD guru's,
    I am trying to create a credit memo request in reference to my sales order invoice and i am getiing this warning message "Credit Memo Request already exists for item ".
    How is this possible,when i am creating the credit memo request only for the 1st time. Message number displayed is V1498, can you please help me solve this issue.
    Also when i manage to enter into the credit memo request document by pressing enter to all those warning's, i am asked to enter the target quantity. How do i handle this? since i have maintained order quantity in my sales order and my sales invoice.

    Hi,
    You can control the quantity to be copied into Credit memo request through Copy Controls Quantity Update.
    The the same quantity will be copied from the reference document into target document.
    You are getting error as Credit Memo Request exists , because you have created the Credit Memo request for full Sales Order Qunatity.

    Enter IG (internal credit memo) as the billing type for intercompany
    billing for order type RE.
    Cust-Sales/distrib-Transactions-Billing-Intercompany billing-Order types
    Intercompany billing always refers to a delivery
    Processing flow will be:
    1. Create returns request invoice receipt (with or w/out reference)
    2. Create returns delivery and goods receipt
    3. Create credit memo invoice receipt for customer for 1.
    4. Create internal credit memo for 2.
    Therefore you must make the following entries in the document flow
    for billing documents:
      Target BillType        DlvType              ItemCat
    a)    IG                  LR
    b)    IG                  LR                    REN
    Parameters for entries:
    For a) Copying requirement:  14  Dlv.-rel.header IV
          Copy item no.: x  (Check and decide yourself)
    For b)Copying requirement: 15 Dlv.rel. item IV
          Data VBRK/VBRP      : 1  Inv.split (sample)
          Billing quantity    : B
          Qty/itm val.pos/neg : +
          Pricing type        : G
    Also, refer following SAP Notes
    13160 - Returns with intercompany billing
    24756 - Credit memo requests with inter-company billing
    652007 - Reporting internal credit memos on arrival side
    11980 - Intercompany billing with order-related billing document

  • Dunning for Vendor Credit Memo

    Dear Expert,
    I have 5 open due invoices in vendor account of euro 10000 and now i have posted credit memo which is not relating to any of the invoices for value of euro1000.Now i want to run dunning only for credit memo (as this is seperate item receivable from vendor).System is picking up all line items in dunning run and saying that dunning not possible because balance is -9000 (payable). How can i execute dunning only for vendor credit memo which is not related to invoices and which is amount due to receive by us from vendor. And if i select only credit memo in parameters than system is assigning dunning level 0 to credit memo and not executing dunning run.appreciate quick help. Thanks...

    Dunning should be done only for vendor and customer total outstanding balance
    as per below screen invoice  is of Rs.19000/- and credit memo of Rs.20000/-
    amount recovered from vendor is Rs.1000/- along with dunning changes  here
    in the below example i had  taken Rs.50/- so different of Rs.1000 (credti memo - invoice)
    so Recoverable from vendor is Rs.1050/- hope this solved your thread
