Defining Date range and using the same range to search the documents.

Hi Sap Gurus,
in our business there are some documents which do have Validity period, like say Inspection certificates and valid for say 10 months, ex.. JAN 25th 2009 to Oct 24th 2009
we store this certificate in DMS and link to some SAP object say an Asset,
we have a requirement to list all the documents based on the expiry date range. say to get a list of documents which are about to expire in 15 days, or the list of documents which have already expired
I tried to define a characteristic in date format, but it is a single value field, and search is only supported on that specific value only.
like we cannot serch the DIR falling in between this Date Ranges.
also report of Documents which are to expire in 15 days could not be got.
is there a way to meet this requirement , if it is through a development also please tell me how the logic could be built

Thanks much Thomas for your Promt reply.
The solution provided by Thomas really works but the same thing is not possible in EDMS,
in Easy DMS we cannot manually give any value in the date characteristics field, the system will ask to fill from the date window format.
so we cannot enter < or > <> value in characteristics, hope there is any note or other procedure to get the same funtionality.
please if any one worked on the same with EDMS let me know

When you select some text and press right click there is a option in the contextual menu which allows you to perform a search using Google in another tab. For some reason the displayed page is not the same as you search the same in Google homepage, there are some panel who are missing; images, videos, blogs, forum, tec. It may be in the process of making room. What version of OSX are you on? (That process can be excruciatingly slow on Leopard or Snow Leopard backups over a network; Lion has improved it greatly.)
A clue may be lurking in your logs. Use the widget in #A1 of Time Machine - Troubleshooting to display the backup messages from your logs. That should help you figure out what's going on. If in doubt, copy and post them here (but if the same ones repeat over and over, drop most of the duplicates).
If you can, connect via Ethernet; it will be 2-3 times faster.

You indicated that the images "seemed" to be in the right order. It might be a good idea to rename the images on export using a custom name/sequence. If you have done that and the images are still not in order, it's possible that your operating system browsing window is using a different sort order. I sometimes change windows explorer to sort by file type, and then files are sometimes in what seems be a strange order.

Right, I finally managed to get it sorted out.
iCloud only accept version 3.0 vcards, and the one I was using were version 2.1 so that's why it wasn't picking it up. So the easy way to get that sorted out is, use a gmail account.
I know you don't wanna do it because you think it's too much hassle and stuff, but trust me it only takes 5 minutes and that's it.
1. Create a Gmail Account.
2. Export your Old VCard files to the Gmail Account.
3. Now Import them from Gmail to your PC again.
And, that's it, that's just makes the new imported version in 1 file contains your all contacts in version 3.0. Now you can just upload that on icloud and then sync it with your iphone.
That's what I did and it worked, and I am sure if you wanna replace this file in the Contacts folder under your User Account in Windows and then try to sync Contacts in Tunes, it should work, but as I said, I did it with iCloud and it worked for me. So aye, that's pretty much it. Phewwww..
Been searching for it for the whole day and it took 5 minutes in the end, badass...
Anyway, don't lose hope and always Google for everything!

How to use the same services-config for the local and remote servers.

My flex project works fine using the below but when I upload my flash file to the server I doesn't work, all the relative paths and files are the same execpt the remote one is a linux server.

In Flex, there is feature that lets developer to put all service-config.xml file configuration information into swf file. with
-services=path/to/services-config.xml
IF
services-config.xml
have tokens in it and user have not specified additional
-context-root
and this swf file is not served from web-app-server (like tomcat for example) than it will not work,
Flash player have no possible way to replace token values of service-config.xml file durring runtime if that service-config.xml file have been baked into swf file during compilation,
for example during development you can launch your swf file from your browser with file// protocol and still be able to access blazeDS services if
-services=path/to/services-config.xml
have been specified durring compilation.
I dont know any better way to exmplain this, but in summary there is two places that you can tell swf about service confogiration,
1) pass -services=path/to/services-config.xml parameter to compiler this way you tell swf file up front about all that good stuff,
or 2) you put that file on the webserver( in this case, yes you should have replacement tokens in that file) and they will be repaced at runtime .

Yes, otherwise you will have to pay for those apps again. If an app is purchased by one Apple ID, he/she will be able to redownload it again for no cost (note: this does apply to songs, but NOT to movies).

Saving each image as different size - is it an option for you? I would save images with their name as: 20x30.png, 16x20.png etc etc.
Or explain whether you want these in a webpage in which case only one image is necessary and different sizes are displayed with good CSS code. this is question for Dreamweaver forum if this is what you want.

I have started with writing c code on mac using xcode .....but one of my friend told me to use gcc for coding.
Why? If you are developing and writing code on a Mac why would you not use the tools Apple has given you? And Xcode, once you get use to it, is a very nice development environment that will make you life a whole lot easier.
If you insist on using an editor and the terminal I would recommend Emacs but it has a long learning curve so something like TextWrangler will work too.
As for the compiler if you have Xcode installed install the command line tools and you will be able to compile from the terminal.
