Delaying a message from being available on a Queue

I have the need to receive messages to a Queue I have set up and have it consumed several days later. The catch is that other messages will be coming in and will be consumed right away.
I looked at the JMS message properties and I can't see anything in there that might help.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Isaac,
JMS itself does not specify any type of delay header or property field. However, if you're using OJMS (AQ/JMS), which you should be if you're using 9iAS v9.0.2 or v9.0.3, there is an Oracle JMS specific property called JMS_OracleDelay. You can find more information about this property in the Oracle9i Application Developer's Guide - Advanced Queuing.

The next message still opens up.

Prevent "We're opening your workbook in Microsof Excel" message from being displayed

Hi all,
I have multiple environments with SharePoint solutions installed on them. Almost all of them are working fine except one that has an issue and don't know how to solve it.
Each time I open an Excel file in Excel Services and then choose to "Edit in Excel", the following message is being displayed and Excel Services do no close automatically as it does on the other environments.
How can I fix this?

How do I stop deleted email messages from being removed?

I have an iMac running OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2 and an iPhone 5. I get my email from hotmail using IMAP protocol. When I delete an email, I want it to stay in the "deleted" folder forever or until I decided to manually remove it. However, for some reason they only stay in the deleted folder for a week.
My mailbox behavior preference is set to NEVER permanently erase deleted messages. Why do the deleted message only stay for a week and how can I change this to keep them permanently?

Actually this helped on the phone but the emails on my iMac are still only staying around for one week. In prferences, it is checked to NEVER removed deleted messages from trash. What else can be wrong???

How can I prevent Messages from being archived?

I don't want my OS X Messages to be archived, period. Is there a way to prevent that? If not, is there a way to encrypt the archive folders?

Saved Chats and iMessages are saved in the ~/Library/Messages folder.
This folder contains another folder called Archives and this holds the Saved Chats be they iMessages or other service Chats.
In Messages > Preferences > Messages untick the Save Chats on Closing if you don't want to save Chats/Conversations.
What this will not do though, is stop the chat.db item you see in the Messages Folder from holding the "history" to iMessages conversations.
The chat.db item can be viewed in Quick Look although it is not that easy to read.
The ~/Library is hidden by default although fairly easily accessed by holding the ALT key down when using the Finder > Go Menu.
I am afraid I know nothing about Encrypting individual folders.

How do I protect a single message from being deleted when I celete a conversation in Hangouts?

If I have a string of 100 messages in a thread, perhaps I want to protect a single response but delete the remainder of the thread. How does one do that in Hangouts?

I'm noticing a trend that if someone using Outlook 2011 on OSX, if they reply to an email, then someone replies after that, if you try to Clean Up the thread or the folder, Outlook 2013 on a PC will not delete the reply from the Mac user, as it appears to
have an attachment. I think it may be tied to having screenshots in an email, or if they have an image in their signature.
Has anyone else experienced this, or know of a way to fix it? Or would Microsoft have to change something in Outlook 2011 for OSX?

Since I don't have an Outlook for Mac, I'm not able to do the test for you right now.
If you have Outlook for Mac, you can test it yourself:
In Outlook 2013, tick one checkbox each time under Conversation Clean Up, then send an email from Outlook for Mac, try to clean up in Outlook 2013, check the result. This may help determine which option that caused the issue.

i want icloud for only my ipad, mac and iphone. I keep getting my kids downloads, messages, pics etc. I thought i had set it up so only my 3 devices are tied in but still get everyones.

They must have their devices set to connect to your icloud account. that's the only way they can get your data and you can get their data. Be sure they have their own icloud accounts (IDs).

How to prevent the LabVIEW about dialog from being available from the menu on a MAC built LV app.

I have a LV application that I have built with the application builder for MAC. When I run this app, the menu has an entry for each menu item I specified along with an entry that matches my applications name. If I select the entry that matches my app name and then hit about, The about LabVIEW dialog is displayed. I have not been able to find a way to either suppress this behavior or redirect it to a VI to display about information related to my application. Ideally I can just get rid of it since it makes no sense to my customers as to why a LabVIEW dialog would appear when they would expect to get information on my application.

Need to publish message from database to a JMS Queue using Java

I need to publish messages to a Websphere JMS Queue whenever any changes happen on a particular column of a table in oracle 11g. For that I have written a trigger on that particular table which in turn will invoke one java procedure. I have written the java procedure using a standalone java class and uploaded the java class as a schema object. While executing the procedure it is throwing error as it is not able to instantiate some of the java classes. I don't know how to provide the reference of different jar files while executing the java class. Can anyone help me on this.

Clarify your statement. First you say 'standalone java class' but then you talk about instantiating java 'classes' and referencing 'different jar files'. If you are executing your Java class inside Oracle then any Java classes that your java class is referencing also have to be loaded into Oracle or it won't be able to reference or execute them.
How do you plan to ' publish messages to a Websphere JMS Queue '? Where is this queue you are talking about?
Why are you using a Java procedure and class instead of PL/SQL?
What is your 4 digit Oracle version (result of SELECT * FROM V$VERSION)?

I am trying to send a message to a Queu (AQ) in OC4J.
          Since it works by using the common JMS api from a stand-alone java client, I thougt it should work also from a stateless EJB, but it doesn't!
          anyone an idea?

Messages not being written to page

HI,
What could stop messages from being displayed/written. I have changed my page template from a table based layout to a css layout and have wrapped the following #GLOBAL_NOTIFICATION# #SUCCESS_MESSAGE# #NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE# in a div. I cause an error intentionally on my page but the message does not appear. When I inspect the page source it confirms that the message was not written to the page. I have an identical application that uses table layouts for the page template and the same process produces a message. When I inspect the page source the message is written in the #GLOBAL_NOTIFICATION# #SUCCESS_MESSAGE# #NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE# position as expected.
Would anybody have any ideas for me to pursue to get to the bottom of this problem?

I found what the problem was ...
The page template has a subtemplate region and the entry for Success Message and Notification where empty.

You have to use different Apple IDs for iMessage to prevent this. Decide which of you will be changing, the on the one that is changing go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (Receive At if on iOS 5), tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing if you want (in Settings>iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6 or Settings>Store in iOS 5).

Strage Situation : Delaying the message processing in IE ( ABAP Stack )

I'm in a starange situation in processing messages in Integration Engine ( ABAP Stack - SXMB_MONI ) in File to IDoc scenario.
I have processed bunch of 1000 messages from legacy system into the queue, AE picks all the messages at a one glace, but they were processed in ABAP stack ( sxmb_moni ) 10 messages after 10?!!! Its taking lot of time to process the all 1000 messages.
How can we come out of this situation?! Can anybody share their experienes with me!

Refer to the blog Performance Tuning Checks in SAP Exchange Infrastructure(XI): Part-II
and check tuning parameter EO_INBOUND_PARALLEL for integration engine configuration. May be that is the reason for this behavior.
