Delete photo in album

When I try to delete a photo by normal method the yellow frame switches to next photo in the Album but the photo to be deleted remains. When I click on the
newly selected photo, then the correct photo, to its left, is deleted.  This is in Iphoto 11 on Mac Book Pro

You can't. The albums that you created on the iPad do not actually contain copies of the photos, but merely pointers to those photos. If you remove the photos from the camera roll, they will be removed from the iPad. Albums on the iPad are simply for your own organization on the device. Those albums cannot be imported to your computer either, since the photos do not exist in the albums.

  • How do I edit/delete photos in album downloaded from computer?

How can I edit or delete photos in an album that I downloaded from my computer?

Actually you need to point them to either Adobe Camera RAW, ACR, and or Photoshop. Bridge is only a image File Management program and used to open either ACR or Photoshop to edit images.
But if you have Photoshop, and Bridge, installed I suggest you Stop using iPhoto and start using the REAL Image Editing program you have installed, Photoshop.
All iPhoto will do is confuse you and your images. Also stop letting iPhoto import your images. iPhoto stores images inside it program folder structure and makes it hard to get to any one image you want to copy or move. Start copying your images to a Folder of your choosing and use Bridge to view and then send them to Photoshop and or ACR for editing.
If you want to have a Program import them Photoshop includes Photo Downloader to copy your images from your camera or memory card to a folder of YOUR Choosing.
iPhoto is for the Amateur. Since you have Photoshop and are working with RAW images you are no amateur.

  • Can't delete photos in albums from iPhone5s

    I have tried everything.
    1.  I deleted the unwanted photos from the albums in iPhoto and tried to sync connected to iTunes.
    2.  I tried quitting both iTunes and iPhoto and tried syncing again.
    3.  I tried not syncing photos and selected erasing all photos from iPhone in order to try a fresh start.
    4.  Tried deselecting albums
Nothing has changed.  I am syncing directy to iTunes via iMac.  I have one album in particular that I want to delete 55 out of 66 photos and it just doesn't change.  It will add albums and photos but will not delete photos from the iphone that were deleted from the adjusted albums in the iPhoto Library.

You need to remove them the same way you put them on the iPad.
That is by Unsyncing them in iTunes on the computer.
You can unselect the folder you wish to remove in ITunes on the computer, or sync an empty folder to remove them all.

  • IPhone Delete Photo Library Album

Since my upgrade to iOS 5, there has been a new album in the photos app called Photo Library. This album is an exact copy of an album called "iPhone" that I created in iPhoto on my Mac. Any photos on my Mac that I want on the iPhone, I simply drag to the "iPhone" album and then sync with iTunes. If I turn sync photos OFF in iTunes, I get the warning that all synced photos will be lost on the iPhone, which I accept. After the sync, both the iPhone album AND the Photo Library album are gone from my iPhone. I then turn sync photos ON and sync. BOTH albums come back. I've copied the iPhone album to a new album, deleted iPhone album, re sync and both the new album AND the Photo Library album are back on the iPhone. If I add a photo to the new album on my iMac, then sync with iTunes, the new photo is added to both the new album AND the Photo Library Album. Should I export all my photos then create a new iPhoto library, import the photos back in?

"On the iPhone, every time I take a new photo, the new photo is added to the camera roll, not the Photo Library album."
That is correct.  Camera Roll is where ALL pics taken with iphone are stored.  You should be importing these to your computer regularly as you would with any other digital camera.  You can then organize on your computer and sync them to your iphone, where they will be in photo library.
"The Photo Library album on the iPhone contains 17 photos which are the exact same as the new album (Rich) on my iPhone. During the sync process in iTunes, I check only the album Rich to sync."
    Absokutely correct.
Again. All SYNCED ( from your computer) photos will be in photo library.  If you were to sync 10 albums with 10 pics each, then there would be 100 photos in Photo Library.

Delete them on your computer, then sync to your iPad.
Your iPad can delete Camera Roll contents, but not photos that are stored on your computer.

  • Delete Photos in Albums

    Hi folks.
I have an Archive folder, where I move expired albums.  I have exported all those photos and I want to delete those photos from iPhoto altogether.  How can I do this?
I've tried to select all and create a new event, then tried to delete the event, taking along with it all the photos.  Didn't work.
Tried to flag said photos, then delete all the flagged photos.  Didn't work.
My photos are in a library on a SAN Drobo, so it's pretty slow.  Hence the reason to reduce the size of the picture archive, lots of which are pretty much useless.
Out of ideas.  Can I borrow your ideas?
    Cheers

Deleting photos form the iPhoto library is very simple - select a photo in an event, press the delete key and empth the iPhoto trash and the system trash
However your post raises several issues
What format is the SAN Drobo? The iPhoto library MUST be on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (jorunaled)
How is it connected toyoru Mac? It is strongly recommended that the iPhoto libreary be on a directly connected drive using a wired connection
and you are not clear on what you are doing - we only have words to communicate with sing the properly is critical
In iPhoto folders can not hold photos - folder can only hols alcums or other folders so this is not clear
have an Archive folder, where I move expired albums.

  • Deleting photos from album

I have created a new album and have moved photos into it. However, how do I erase or delete that photo it if was moved there by mistake? If I use the 'delete from catalog' it also deleted the photo from the main media.

When you right-click on the photo do you see something like this:
It says Delete from Catalog.  The second screen says this:
you need to make sure that magic box isn't checked.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I delete photos from an album?

I am trying to delete photos from albums I made this morning but no matter where I look all I get is a method that does not work as it tells me firstly to select album then select photo - this I cannot do.  What am I doing wrong?

Do you have a mouse or trackpad?  Are you able to click on an item in the Finder and select it? If so try the following:
1 - delete  the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file,, Cache.dbt, that is located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

How do I delete photos on my iPAD?

To delete photos, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Delete.  To delete albums, to delete an album, tap Edit, then tap the black "x" on the corner of the album.
Note: this will not delete photos or albums (folders) synced to your iPad from your computer.  Those can only be deleted by deselecting them on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.
