Delete request  in ODS  or  Change request status

Hi Experts!.
I have been trying to delete a request from ODS,  and this have been Impossible.
Originally Data was in ODS and in Cube. I deleted the data from the cube without problems.
To delete the request from the ODS I turned the check status to red.
If I try to delete the request from the ODS, at first, the request is flagged with a 'Trashbin' indicator, and when click 'Refresh' again, the 'Trashbin' indicator changes back to the 'Report is available' icon.
I have already checked:
- Data from this requests are not in any datatarget.
- There are not any process locking the ODS.
- I checked T.code SM37 josb BI_DEL* after deletion and the message was there was no records for that request.
I decided to delete the data selectively and leave the request as already is,  but I can't get the request to green again. I have no message errors but it doesnt change.
I entered to the monitor for the request and turned the status to green again, but outside is still in red.
Can anybody helpme?
Even deleting the request o turning it to green again will be a solution.
Thanks a lot!.
Ana M.

Hi Ana,
I think that you're able to change the total status, but not the status in the administration requests of ODS, because the system feels that the active table and the change log table are not aligned. This is a way to prevent to update records from ODS to other data target.
So you have to realigned active table and change log.
Try to delete the request in the change log related to the activation of the records you've uploaded. You can delete that request in PSA administration, the name of the request is ODSR*.
For example: your request is REQU_1000. In the tab  "reconstruction" of the requests management of ODS you also find the name of the activation request for example ODSR_2000.  You'll find that request even if you don't use PSA during the upload!
Once you set the correct selections for PSA tree (settings --> display selections for PSA tree), search in the PSA administration the request ODSR_2000 and delete it.
Hope this helps

  • How to change the status of a Partially Activated Red request?

    Hi
I am unable to delete a Request which is partially activated and which is in Red.
    This was due to
We were trying to manually update a data packet which was struck for a long time in the above request. While we changed the status of the requests to red and were about to perform the manual update, the struck data packet processed automatically and the activation too  started automatically before the request was set to green.
To recover , we need to delete the request which we are unable to do.

    Dear,
When you create a production order, an operation created by the system is generated automatically if no routing is used for the creation. As a result the order header receives the status HOGAN; the operation created automatically also has this status.
If you delete the operation created automatically and then do not have the status HOGAN.
To avoid this maintain the Routing for the material or delete the setting of default operation from OPJG.

  • Can any one explain how the Requests deletion in an ODS & Cube works?

Can any one explain how the Requests deletion in an ODS & Cube works & differs?

It works in the normal way as you delete a request but following are the differences between them
    1) If you try to delete a request from the ODS, all the requests which are loaded after this request also get deleted, and in the cube its not.
    2) You cannot delete a request from the ODS once its change log has been deleted, similary you cannot delete a request from the cube that has been compressed.
    3) you can delete overlapping requests from a Cube. but in ODS its not possible.

  • Unable to delete request from ODS - BW 3.5

    Hi experts,
I am not able to delete request from ODS in BW 3.5, patch level 21. I put the request red, but it does not help to delete it. The request is full load and quite hudge (16GB). Deleting actually takes too long (several hours), but does not finish, so I cannot tell you any error description. It seems that this job can run forever... I was trying to activate the request before, but because of a tablespace limitations I received some short dumps. That is why I am trying to load it agin in smaller parts. It is strange thou that in Manage/requests tab the request has flag 'available for reporting' but the data cannot be viewed as active (only as new data). Any ideas, OSS notes?
    Thank you,
    Michal

    Hi,
If you want to delete  requests manually from the ODS tables.
    1. tcode se16.
    2. delete the request in these tables : RSICCONT (delete activated requests OR
Make the selective deletion of the contents of that request), RSMONICDP, RSODSACTREQ (give the name of the ODS and the
request ID and delete all the entries pertaining to this selection in that table.), RSODSACTUPDTYPE.
You can check OSS Notes 947481

  • Milestone Error when changing the status of service request.

    Hi Expert.
I got an issue where service request is displayed with an error "Item 10: Start and end dates must be identical for a milestone date".
I took around 200 service requests and observed that in the change history, the response profile of the contract was changed. We also observed that whenever service request contain these errors, automatic change of status is not happening.
Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this error in Quality system.
Kindly advice on how these errors can be resolved and how these can be reproduced.
    Thanks in advance.

You can ave a runitme event or workflow triggered that can generate such behavior.
First increase logging on your object manager (evtloglvl :) ) and look at any error message.
Second assess with your development team what automation has been setup ranging from script, Business Services, workflow to assist you in troubleshooting.

  • Service Requests in E-Service - Change the status of a request

    Hi All,
We had setup a ICSS B2B web for return order management.
We have a requirement that once the service request is created by the User "Customer service representative" he should be able to manually change the status of the request in the web such as " In process" ->"Rejected" or "Approved" ->"Completed.
Please advise on how to proceed with the above requirement.

    Hello Yves,
    Thank you for this information.
I'd like to tell you that, we are using a shared transport directory and the transport management system is configured properly.
But I think that, changing the status of the transport requests (the field IMPFLG) in the table TMSBUFREQ would be a possible solution, although I'm not sure, if this is the right way.
What I intend to do is the following: change the field IMPFLG ("tp Import Flag") for the transports, which have been already imported, but appear in the import queue with the status "Request waiting to be imported" .
At the moment the field IMPFLG of these transports is set to "1" ("Request waiting to be imported") and I'd like to change it to "2" ("Request already imported") .
Would it work like this? Will the correct status of the transport requests be displayed in the TRX STMS?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Kind regards,
    Noémi

  • Changing leave request status.

    Dear all expert,
I am trying to customize my leave application wf (12300111) to 2 level of approval. I am facing a problem, after my first approval approved the leave request, the status in PTREQ_HEADER will change to approved. How can i reset the status to any other status so that when the schedule posting job (RPTARQPOST) run, it will not pick up this request which has been only approved by first level manager.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Bryan

    Hi,
I remember seeing this same topic discussed earlier, and I think that there were also some solution explained. I just cannot find the topic now - maybe you have better luck.
Anyhow, I think that you need to create a custom method for changing the leave request status back from approved to sent. Take a look to the existing leave request WF class - there should be a generic method for changing the status - or at least some sort of an example about how to do it.
Then just place a new step after the approval step, which will execute this new method.

  • Request status changed!

    Hi,
in the manage tab of data target when i see the status of the request it is yellow and added records and transferred records has adifference of almost 40000.
but when i click monitor button, it goes to the monitor screen with following msg
" request status changed, trigger follow on events? followed by YES or NO push buttons?"
why this msg is coming though upload is not yet completed?
    Thanks,
    Ravi

This message indicates that there is some change in the data load between now and ur previous visit. If you choose YES, it refreshes and displays the latest status. If you choose NO, it shows the status of ur last visit

  • Can we manually change the status of request which is already approved?

    Hi,
we are using standard Record Working Time and approal  ESS MSS Application.
can we change the status of request which is approved     to      not approved or released for approval?
(in our case,  request released for approval is displayed on weekely basis in approval page and
on review page (approval) we have number of hours recorded for particular day in that week is displayed.)
the problem we are facing is,
user submitted  data for a week and manager approved it.
but now we have to change the data entered for that week, only for a particular day and submit it again for approval.
we have changed the data for that particular day  using HR-TSADMN. and submited it again for apparoval.
but this time only the record (particular day) which has been changed is shown in the approval review page of approval iview MSS.
but our client needs data of all the days in that week displayed.
can we get the approved + edited data for the week displayed on the review page of approval??
if can't, then if we change the status of the approved data for that particular week then the user can again submit the data for that week and data of all the days in that week will be displayed on the review page for approval.
    plz help me.
    Edited by: madhu1011 on Nov 30, 2011 2:23 PM

to change the status by user, he can modify the hours in the application and resubmit
For administrator purposes, you should cats_appr_lite, you can reject the all time and do it,
Do not make any changes directly to CATSDB< it might cause inconsistency
So better use standard transaction like cats_appr_lite or cats_da

  • Cancelling a absence request haas not changed the status by the user

    Hi experts,
An absence request has been cancelled,. Looking in Status Monitor, i will see that the reuest has been cancelled, but the user see the status stay on "Pendig For Approval". Normally the user will see the Absence Category set to Cancelled, but not "Pending For Approval". The reason is unknown to me. Thus i need your support.
    Thanks in advance
    Mehdi

Just to confirm my understanding, are you saying that:
    1) Employee requested an Absence through SSHR Leave of Absence
    2) An administrator queried the absence in the Workflow Status Monitor and Cancelled it
    3) Now that absence is showing to the Employee as 'Pending Approval'
Is that right? You mention 'Normally the user will see...'. When you say 'normally' what is the behaviour you expect?
If I've understood you correct this is the behaviour I would expect: cancelling a workflow does not change the status from 'Pending For Approval' and it definitely does not change the Absence Category on the absence. Cancelling an absence via this route isn't really recommended because - as you are seeing - it gets stuck. It's best to get the approver to reject the absence instead.
To remove this cancelled absence, take a look at these Oracle Support articles:
Unable To Remove Cancelled Workflow Item Related To LOA Transaction [ID 1123714.1]
How to Purge Obsolete Workflow Runtime Data (FNDWFPR) for HR Workflow Completed Processes [ID 237564.1]

  • Request deleted in Base ODS

    Hi
We hhave an ods1 where in its supplying the data to other ods2.
Now there are 5 requests in ods1.
and these 5 request are also in ODS2.
Now when i tried to delete the top request from ODS1, i got the message that this request is existing in the ODS2. I just said OK. Now that request got deleted from the ODS1 but didnt get deleted in ODS2.
Actually i was in assumption that when we delete the request from base ods1, In ods2 also that request will get deleted.
Can you just tell me what will be the implications?
    Regards
    Rak

    Hi Rakesh,
No it is not automatic. If you are uploading in full mode you can delete request from ODS1, but ODS2 is not affected.
    Ciao.

  • Siebel Hangs up when changing the status of service request

    Hi,
We are facing this typical problem since last 2 weeks. When closing the SR, CRM hangs for random(unable to detect a pattern till now) SRs.
The steps we follow to an SR is:
    1. Enter the SR #
    2. Change the status to "resolved"
    3. Type the resolution in "resolution" text field and click on white space.
    4. A new row gets generated with status "unscheduled"
    5. Place a check mark near the newly generated row.
    6. Change the status of the SR to "closed"
Now, some SRs get stuck at step 3. When clicking on white-space, CRM hangs.
We've tried everything from clearing IE cache / temp / cookies / increasing temp file size (to 5000 in IE6 and 1024 MB in IE7)
Even set-up a fresh system but no avail.
Even changed the primary internet link to secondary one but no help.
On top of that the SRs which make IE hang seem to be appearing randomly. Sometimes I can close 20 SRs at a stretch and sometimes 1-2 SRs get hanged every 4-5 SRs.
Once in a while an error pops up: "The selected record has been modified by another user since it was retrieved. Please continue (SBL-DAT-00523)"
No one else was working on the SR when such errors came.

You can ave a runitme event or workflow triggered that can generate such behavior.
First increase logging on your object manager (evtloglvl :) ) and look at any error message.
Second assess with your development team what automation has been setup ranging from script, Business Services, workflow to assist you in troubleshooting.

  • How to get back the deleted request.

    Hi BW gurus,
I was having a problem in ZFIGL_01 cube. 1 request was showing some error so i deleted that request without changing its status from green to red.
i then loaded the data again and now its not allowing me to activate that request in ODS because of that earlier request but when i go to reconstruct/insert tab its not showing the request which was deleted by me. Does that mean the request has been deleted from PSA also?
What will be the workaround in that case?
And in near future to avoid such kind of scenario what will be the settings required to be done so that i can see all the deleted requests in insert/reconstruct tab irrespective of the status of the request.
Now this will create problem from tommorrow onwards in my PC if it doesnt get solved. Kindly reply as early as possible.
    Thanks
    BW user.

    hi,
    Hope the upload is delta,
    1. Goto TX: RSMO and identify the request.
    2. change the request to Red/Green.
    3. Reload the data.
suggestion: If it is a delta upload, Check the timestamp at R/3 or ERDATE before reload.
    Regards,
    Vijay
