Not sure if you mean the app settings within the app, or the actual settings app. It doesn't really matter anyway .... Close the app or apps and reboot your iPad.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Deleted the Macappstore and now can't get it back

I originally deleted the Mac App store when it popped up in the dock a couple of updates ago. I don't do apps and didn't see the need to have it there. Now it turns out you can only get LION from the App store... Since I'm in 10.6.8 I can't re download the App store as part of 10.6.6. I'm sure this will be easy for one of you to explain how I can do that.

I removed it from the applications folder. I deleted Facetime as thought it wasnt working and could just download it from the mac store. Now i realise it was apples servers messing it up and now dont have Facetime and cannot download it from the apple store as they only provide 1.0.2 version and Lion comes with 1.1 Can someone send me the App? or give me any help without downloading Lion again beause i have a very slow internet connection. I was told that i can use Lion recovery and use the Reinstall Mac OS X option i can do it that way but it will download it all again first but will that do a new install or just replace the current setup?

When I upgraded to Lion the only issues I had was facetime didn't work, and IPhoto would hang with the dreadful beach ball spinning. LOL!
I removed facetime three time installed Lion with the installer, booted from HD into recovery, and from a DVD without any problems. The DVD took one hour to install.
The problem with Facetime on my system was the host file (fixed), and IPhoto fixed itself after three hangs with a reboot.
The lion is running smooth now.

You don't take the pictures off the PC you leave them there and tell iTunes that you don't want them on the iPad (by unchecking them) and then sync. That will delete the pictures from the iPad.

Log in with the Apple ID used to register the computer. If you don't have access to it or the applications still don't show as being free, click here and contact Apple.

Try this repair, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
1 delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, use Appcleaner from Mac Update to           do this, its freeware
2 restart the Mac;   Apple menu > restart
3 immediately after the start chime, press the shift key until you see the Apple symbol.
         let it fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
4 when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and           click repair disc permissions
5 when complete, restart the Mac normally
6 install Keynote from the Mac App Store

Try resetting your network settings.
Settings>Genenal>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

I recently browsed iTunes UK and now can't get back to iTunes US version. I restarted my Mac and whenever I open iTunes store it is the UK version. I can't open an account there because it won't let me use by email address twice.

I recently browsed ITunes UK store and now can't get back to my iTunes US store. The UK store won't accept my email address as it is in use. So, effectively, I can't make an iTunes purchase. And, this password changing is madness. Everytime I sign in iTunes doesn't recognize my password and so I have to get a new one even though I've answered the useless security questions. Has anyone solved this problem before?

Funny how this seems to be one of the most-asked questions on the Internet. In most cases, no answer is ever checked as "Correct," either. Most answers, as on this page, say to click the flag at the bottom right-hand corner of any store page. The problem? There's only one flag!!! And it's the one of the country we don't want to be in!!!
Just in case this helps someone: what worked for me was to sign in. It then told me my id was not valid for this country, and switched me back to the US. How I was ever able to buy something from the UK store in the first place is beyond me.
By the way, Apple, experiences like this, and many, many other horrible ones with iTunes, is why those of us who do not live in the Apple world continue to stick to their Microsoft PCs.

I can not do anything else because this is stuck with this window/install screen showing. I have tried everything to get back to my regular desktop. I do not want to wipe the drive because I have photos on it that I want to save. Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

Symantec need to correct a mistake they made with their add-ons. They originally updated their add-ons after quite a delay to work with Firefox 4.0 as shown here - http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Firefox-4-compatibility-hotfix-is-now-available/td-p/428894
They made an error with the update in only listing it as compatible with Firefox 4.0, so they will not install on Firefox 4.0.1 and subsequent Firefox security updates.
