Deleting Adobe CS5 Design Premium set-up folder.

I downloaded a digital copy of the set-up disk and successfully installed the suite. Now I'd like to delete the folder to save space and would like confirmation that it wouldn't affect the running of my programs before I continue,
Folder contains deploy, packages, payloads, resources folders within.

you can delete those files but you may want to save them, at least, to an external drive or dvd in case you need them in the future for another install.  currently they can still be accessed online but there's no guarantee they will be available in the future.

I just purchase a brand new mac computer and I need to purchase new adobe CS software for work. Do you know if Adobe CS5 Design Premium-Mac is compatible with new mac computers with the updated Yosemite software? *No previous adobe CS software versions are on this computer

There are known technical issues with any older version on Yosemite, even CS6. Some can be worked out, others may not be relevant to you, some will remain unsolved.

. . . was wondering: Would you happen to know if, < Adobe CS5 Design Premium > in compatible or incompatible with MS WIN8.1? I bought a new Dell XPS 9530 -- with NO CD drive. I copied my CS5 install disk to a Flash Drive, then ran the "install" on my new computer. I had the ownership S/N, so-o-o-o, CS5 installed and "seems" to respond well. PROBLEM: PhotoShop. The Menu Bar, the Commands, the Tool Bar, the Color Palettes, and etc., etc., are all real small on my display -- I would estimate they are about 1/3 of the normal size. Same problem with Illustrator. I've made all the Screen Resolution and Print-Size settings and nothing remedies the small display. (My working page is fine; it's just the display that is REAL tiny!!) Can you help me? Do you have any suggestions for me to try? Should I re-install from the internet? Am I forced to upgrade my application? I appreciate any comments you might have. Thanks. -- Dennis

  • Reinstall Adobe CS5 Design Premium

I had Adobe CS5 Design Premium on my iMac running now system 10.8.4. Going on travel, I uninstaled InDesign and Photoshop on my iMac to be able to instal it on my MacBook Air running 10.7.5 which is the highest it can handle. Back home, I unistalled InDesign and Photoshop on my MacBook Air to be able to reinstall it on my iMac, but guess what? My iMac does not recognize my installation CD because "You can't open the application "Install.app" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
I am very sorry but I can't afford to switch to an upgrade. I would like very much to be able to continue to use what I bought: it was still working on my iMac under system 10.8.4 so it is only the installation program which causes trouble. Can Adobe help me out of this?
    Best regards,
    Jerome

Sorry to say, this doesn't work. I found this page already before asking help. But I tried it again as you mentioned it in your reaction. Any link I try leads finaly to upgrade to CS6 or Creative Cloud and says CS5 is no more for sale. I just want to reinstall CS5, but the install program on my install CD seems to be PowerPC and refuses to work on my iMac with OS 10.8.4. But it works on my MacBook Air with OS 10.7.5. What I also tried:
    1.     Installing from my MacBook Air on my iMac via my network: is not accepted.
    2.     From my MacBook Air I made a start-up extern disk with OS 10.7.5, then started up my iMac with this disk. The internal DVD reader does not recognize the install-CD. The external optical drive, who accepts the install CD with my MacBook Air system 10.7.5 rejects the install CD with the same extern optical drive connected to my iMac that also is started up with 10.7.5.
    3.     Went to my Adobe order hystory. Found back the order of my CS5 but found no button to download it again. Is this because it was shipped in a box to me?
    4.     Reinstalled Photoshop on my iMac with Time Machine: works to my surprise and satisfaction, but I think this is by accident. Reinstalled InDesign with Time Machine: after starting up, InDesign tells me: "Configuration error. Please unistall and reinstall the product. If this problem occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen. Error: 5"
    5.     Thinking something in the system is missing, with Time Machine I also brought back in Library > Application Support > Adobe back to the same date as the InDesign reinstallation: same result: error 5.
When I want to unistall as asked, the uninstall program does not sees any InDesign. It sees only Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and Illustrator. So also Photoshop is not found, although it is back on my iMac and works perfect, which let me think the reinstallation of Photoshop with Time Machine was by accident. I tried other dates with Time Machine for InDesign but all in vain.
I realy wonder why software developers make life so diffucult for honest users. Why do they hide from direct contact? I want to be able to call someone who helps me out of this. ADOBE !?!

  • Can't download the Adobe CS5 Design Premium package

I'm trying to download The Adobe CS5 design premium on a 10.10 Yosemite Macintosh laptop. The download gets to 3.76 GB then pauses for an eternity, I don't understand what the issue is. I've tried to re-download the file three times with the same result. One of the attempts prompted me to update to Java 8, which I did, but that didn't do anything.

    use a different browser and/or a different (wired) connection and/or a download manager and/or a different link.
    for the prodesigntools.com link:
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: Download Adobe CS5 Free Trials – All Direct Links without Akamai | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • Adobe CS5 Design Premium programs crash on opening

I dowloaded the suite and set it up for a 30-day trial. I got the programs to open initially, but soon after, they started to crash. By the end of day one, every program crashed as soon as I tried to open it.
I am running on a MacBookPro, 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo (a little old, but an Intel processor) with 2GB 667 MHz SDRAM and about 300 GB free hard drive space.
I do have a few CS2 programs still installed on the hard drive. I did not want to remove them until I got CS5 up and running as Snow Leopard won't allow me to re-initialize them, so once gone, they are gone forever. Do I need to uninstall all previous versions before installing CS5?
I thought I might have an issue with too many fonts open, so I downloaded Suitcase Fusion 3 and neatened things up a bit. That does not seem to have fixed anything.
I can't talk to Adobe as they don't provide support for the trial -- but I don't want to plunk down $1900 until I know the programs will run... oy.
    Can anyone help?

You can have a read through this if you'd like: http://www.theindesignguy.com/purchase-advice.shtml
The student versions carry the same upgrade rights as full commercial versions so when you leave school you'd be able to move to a new version at upgrade pricing.
I've put together a small Amazon based store on my website where I've tried to make some sense of what can be upgraded to what and at what price: http://www.theindesignguy.com/book-and-software-store.shtml

  • Need to reinstall CS5 Design Premium.

It appears that getting quick direct help is not as simple as it was in the past... not just with Adobe. I have encountered a system problem with Mac OS10.7.5, which requires a reinstall of my Adobe CS5 Design Premium. Since I'm "on the road" I do not have my install disks with me and will not for just over a month. What is a viable solution?

  • Can I upsell (migrate) from CS5 Design Premium to CS5.5 Production Premium WITHOUT losing InDesign?

I currently own and am a registered user of Adobe CS5 Design Premium. I want to migrate to (and add to what I have already purchased) CS 5.5 Production Premium. I have been told by an Adobe salesperson that if I purchase Production Premium 5.5, I will lose apps. I have purchased in Design Premium that are not also in Production Premium. Can this be true? I hope not. Adding to what I have would force me to throw away apps. that I need and use. Please confirm or deny this awful marketing nonsense.

You won't be forced to throw away anything! The Production Premium suite doesn't contain all the applications of Design Premium. Thus some of the Design Premium applications will not be "upgraded" to their CS5.5 versions when you install Production Premium. If you don't uninstall Design Premium, the CS5 version of those applications will continue to be available on your system.
