Deleting the request from BW is required or not.......?

Hi All,
I am working on FI and PP, I have loaded Master and Transaction Data using the Standard Datasources from R/3 Development System to the BW Dev Standard Data Targets....
In BW Data Targets data is filled with R/3 Development data....
Yesterday we have Configured R/3 Test System to BW Development.....
My doubt is, For to load the R/3 Test Data to BW Development is i have to delete all the Requests in BW Development which were loaded from R/3 Dev....
Other wise directly i can load into BW Dev without deleting previous request....
Please Help me out in this issue...

Yah i did Source System -> Check i got the message like this..
 Source system connection SABTEST OK
As i previous message i have loaded Master Data, I got the Error, Check the below long text which it specifies...

Procedure
 Assign a source system ID to the logical system SABTEST . Administrator
 Workbench > Tools > Assign source system to source system ID.
Procedure for System Administration
(Blank)
When i was trying this My Source System ID and Source System ID fields are Empty....
Do i need to do any settings for this...?

Problem in deleting the request from ODS......

Hi,
I am not able to delete one INIT request from the ODS. This request was taking long time and eventually it turned to RED. Data was there in PSA but I deleted the request and thought of doing the fresh load .
Problem is that although I have deleted the request from the ODS , it is again coming back to ODS . I have started the fresh load. AS the previous also coming to this ODS its taking long time to load the data.
Can some body let me know how to STOP/DELETE the old request?? I have already turned everything to RED QM status , overall status etc. but still its not getting stoped.

Even though u find the job and cancel it or delete it the data load will not stop untill it loads the entire data!
Hope there will be large volume of data !
Until the data load is complete wait and then delete the request and then delete the init and start the fresh load!
I too faced the same issue but i am helpless i could not stop the data load inthe middle!

Can we delete the requests from Infoobject master data

Hello all,
we load master data process chains everyday. now when when we right click on the attribute "Manage" then there are lots of requests there.
Can we delete the older requests from there?
Does having lot of requests there slow down the performance?

Yes we have transactional data also loaded. So you mean I cannot delete the requests from Infoobject ?
So can we use the given FM and delete master data lets says once a week ?
I am really confused about this. I tried deleting some of the request from ATTR (Right click on attr and then manage -> select request and delete) and it did actually get deleted so was that wrong thing to do ?

Need help in deleting the requests from DSO

Hi All,
I want to delete the data load requests present in the dso, I cant do that from the manage tab as it is throwing error because of some dump been loaded into it.
Please tell me the tables names which stores these data load requests of the dso's so that I can delete those requests in the backend.
If is there any way to delete these requests or complete data, please let me know. I cant do these operations from the mange tab/delet data tab of dso as it is throwing the error.

Hi,
You can delete the Requests form DSO by useing RSICCONT.
Follow bellow steps:
1. Goto SE16.
2. Give the RSICCONT and Click on Technical Contents.
3. Give the DSO name--> Click on Execuit
it will dispaly the number of requests which it exists.
4. Select your request>Select 'Table Entry' Menu> Select 'Delete'

Deactivate delta update before deleting the request from ODS

Hi all,
Happy New Year wishes to all.
I have a scenario, where I am feeding the data to ODS from flat file and from ODS to Cube. Here ODS is a Data mart. Flat file to ODS full update and ODS to Cube First Initialization and Delta.
I deleted the latest request from ODS, at the I got the message dialog box and it is saying that
Request 98888 already retrieved by data target BWVCLNT
Delta update in data target BWVCLNT must be deactivate before deleting the request
Do you want to deactivate the delta update in data target BWVCLNT?
So I pressed Execute changes, then after I loaded the data in to ODS and when I am trying to load the data into Cube, once I pressed execute button it is displaying the message dialog box like
Delta request is incorrect REQXXXXXXX in the monitor
A repeat needs to be requested
Data target still include delta request REQXXXXX
If the repeat is now loaded, then after the load
There could be duplicate data in the data targets
Request the repeat?
After execute changes it is showing only zero Records only.
What is that mean and why zero records it is displaying instead of delta records.
Anybody faces this type of problem please let me know. This is somewhat urgent to me

Hi Satish,
First Switch off the ODS ( automatic Update of Datatarget ) , though not really necessary. delete the Req from the Infocube, then delete from the ODS . Now delete the Init Req from the Infopackage for datamart infopackage.then Do an Init without datatransfer into Infocube. Later load data into ODS and then go for delta update to Infocube.

Unable to delete the request from ODS

Hi All,
I have loaded a request to ODS from flat file and the load got success, the request is activated and is available for reporting. Now the problem is i want to delete the request, but the request is not deleting.
I tried to delete the request by going in to the cube manage and changed the QM status and the technical status to red and delete, but it is not deleted.

Hi Prem,
If the ods has datamart status & has been used to load data to a cube, then u cant delete the ods request. In this case, first, change the QM status of the request in the cube to red (delete) & then it wud be possible to go with the deletion of ods request.

Deleting the request from DTP of master data.

Hi,
I loaded data i attributes of 0costcenter. But the request was showing me yellow color. Its not been deleted. I deleted it from RSICCONT. But still while running DTP its showing me error as " Request 7.928 is already being processed".
Please tell me some solution as i cant delete the DTP.

Since the iOS 7 update i cannot log into my icloud. Seems I have two iCloud loggins. One old. one new. When I try to delete the ol from my phone it does not accept the password nor will it take my info to reset my password.

At one point I had set up my itunes and icloud with an old email address. I have since shanged that to a new email. iTunes works fine and I can log into my new iCloud on my PC but my phone will not allow me to delete the old iCloud email without the password. I select to reset the password but the system will not accept my birthdate or security questions. All happening after i did the iOS 7 update. Any thoughts? Thank you!

1) Did you change that old email address to your current email address to be your current Apple ID? If so, try to enter your current password for your current Apple ID/iCloud account. If it doesn't work, try #2.
2) If you don't have access to your old email account. Same process, go to https://appleid.apple.com and sign in your current iCloud/Apple ID then edit it to your old email address then Save the changes. DON'T sign out yet. Go back to your iOS device then delete your iCloud account. Once deleted, go back to the Apple ID website and rename it back to your current email address. You have to verify it this time and you will be able to since you have access to that email address.
3) If your answer to #1 is NO, contact Apple Support (Account Security Team) to help you reset its password but you need to have another email address available which is not yet an Apple ID to send the password reset email.

i used Deletion of Requests from PSA from the prcess chain and found good results, now i have only one request at the psa and thus i am doing good space utililisation. but when i am using Deletion of Requests from the Change Log i am not getting any changes in the request of dso. kindly let me know how to use this 2nd function.

Hi Mahodaya,
As per SAp standards its good to delete the requestes that are no longer needed for the delta update and no longer used ffor inti from the change log table and the data is loaded already in to DSO.
Goto RSPC
Click on create New PC -> enter the PC name n long descp
Next we need to define the start process for the PC.Maintain the start variant process.save n come back.
for deletion of change log we have option in the Other BW Processes -> deletion of requestes from change log
Once u select the option we get a dialoge box here we need to create the variant for the process enter the process variant n long descp. cick ok.
Next in the maintenance screen for the deleting the request from change log table will appear.
Enter the selection patterns to which the requestes should be deleted from the change log.
In the maintenance screen, select one or more Data Store objects for which requests are to be deleted from the relevant change log tables under Data Store Object column and select theInfo Area of the corresponding Data Store Objects under Info Area
If you select the first check box exclude selction pattern, this means that del of requests from change log table will be ignored.

We can delete the requests which are Older than N-number of days (or) date in the above screen. For this one, enter the number of days (or) date in the filed Older than .
OR
If we want to select the requests with a certain status then we can also do in the above screen. We can select the following status indicators from the above screen.
Delete Successfully Updated Requests Only -This status will delete only requests which
are successfully updated into corresponding Data Store objects.
Delete Incorrect Requests that were not Updated - This status will delete only incorrect requests which are not successfully updated into the corresponding Data Store Objects.
Delete Activation Requests only, No Load requests- This status will delete only the activation requests (requests that begin with ODSR_... ). No load requests are deleted.

Problem in deleting a request from Dso

Hi Experts,
I have loaded the request into DSO, after activation, i have changed the QM status to red and try to delete it from the manage screen. But it is not getting deleted from DSO.
I have used following tables :
RSREQDONE
RSICCONNT
RSODSACTREQ
For deletion purpose, but i'm not provided with authorization ..
And also i have used FM to delete the request from DSO , but it also failed ..
Can you please help me out in this regard..

Hi,
Please check if your DSO is locked by any other process. You can check the lock status from SM12. If your DSO is locked by some other process, you will have to wait till that process finishes or kill the process if it is not required so that your DSO will be unlocked. Once your DSO is unlocked you can retry activation. If this doesn't work, please check if you have the authorization to delete data. after trying to delete the DSO you can run the transaction SU53 to see if there is any authorization failure.

See here there are many cases.
If ur requirement is to delete a particular Char from DSO. If it contains data,then u have to delete the data first and then remove the char and then carry the loads...
Why do u need to delete the requests as u can just delete the data..
But before deleting the request from DSO check if this data has been loaded tio cube further. In that case if u want to delete the request from DSO, first u have to delete the request from CUbe and then from DSO.

Not able to delete the data from ODS

Hi All,
I have ODS which is having some requests . All the requests are being loaded with full update only. When I am trying to delete the requests from ODS, out of 4 requests 2 requests have been deleted but rest of them are not at all deleting .
As I am working in Quality system, So I don't have the access to delete request from Table level like RSODSACTREQ, RSICCONT etc...
Can you give any clue to delete the remaining 2 requests.

Does the Request has data mart status.IF yes try to delete the request from the respective DSO's.
and try to delete the request.
are you deleting the Whole data from DSO ? - right click on the DSO and select deleted data from the context menu.

How to delete the request in Direct Update DSO

Dear Gurus,
I have a situation where I have an invalid characteristic loaded into the Direct update DSO. This is related to Spend Performance Management. This DSO is loaded through a data source with the option Without Archive. So, I cant see any request in this DSO. This DSO will then supply data to another DSO which is standard DSO.
The data Activation job in the standard DSO is failing.
My question is I have to delete the request from the Direct Update DSO and then load it to Standard DSO. I have already repaired the data in PSA.
Your Kind help is greatly appreciated.

You must be using some fill or delete APIs to fill the data in Direct update DSO.You can't create transformation to fill the data in DIrect Update DSO as you do in Standard DSO.You will not see request number under the manage tab for direct update dso for any load.
Whenever you will fill the Direct update DSO next time,previous data gets deleted automatcally. For Direct update DSO there can only be a Full Update.So just load the data using API's and previous data will get deleted automatically
