Deleting unwanted old apps

last time i deleted all the apps on my mac and try to backup my ipod so i could rip of all the apps that i dont want but it turns out that when i sync my ipod , it delete everything on my ipod , and right now i wanted to do that again ,and the question is how ?

If you want to delete everything off your ipod but keep it on your mac follow these steps.
1.Sync your ipod with itunes to back it up.
2.In Itunes create a new playlist and title it 'none'.
3.Do not put anything in that playlist.
4.You will then sync your ipod again with itunes, but first you must edit some settings.
5.Go into your ipod syncing settings. Go into music sync it with the 'none' playlist.
6.Repeat step 5 except for apps and videos.
7.Sync it and it will sync your ipod with nothing and you should have nothing on your ipod.

You can't permanently delete any items, bu you can hide them so that they don't show in the Purchased tab via you computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
I haven't tried it for a couple of weeks, but with iOS 7 after hiding an app on my computer's iTunes I was needing to log out of my account on my device by tapping on my id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logging back in for it to then become hidden in the Purchased tab

I was wondering how to delete an old app in DPS App Builder when the delete button is inactive?
I had purchased a single edition and build an iPad App. After download the Developer app from DPS App Builder and tested on my iPad, I'd found some page number errors so I'd created a new app. Inorder to activate app, I need to insert the serial number. But it says "this serial number already been redeemed". Is it because I already use it to build the old app? If so, how to delete the old app because the delete button is inactive for the old app but the new one?

You need to call product support and have them reset your serial number. In the future you should test your content thoroughly using Adobe Content Viewer before building your app with the serial number. We make it rather painful to update when you are using a serial number for single edition

I can't upgrade apps unless I delete the old app

Since upgrading to Yosemite I am not able to just download updates. I have to download the upgrade then delete the old app and then go to finder an install the dmg. Just happened with the latest Evernote update and with iBank update. Any suggestions to remedy?

I see something like this with apps that are installed by dragging them from a disk image in to the Applications folder, for example Firefox. If this is done original in one user account e.g. Fred, and then you try and 'upgrade' it in a second user account e.g. Bill, then because the item is 'owned' by Fred the other user Bill does not have permission to do this.
Other than modifying the permissions which I would not advise the quickest solution is to as you are doing trash the item and recopy it.

Your apps won't be deleted but your photo stream photos, iCloud data and any synced documents & data will be. You can save your photo stream photos to your camera roll before deleting the account to avoid losing them.

Okay, just setup Leopard server 10.5.8 for use as a SUS, and mistakenly set it to download all updates!
Of course I don't need all the 283 updates which total 16GBs. How can delete the files and remove them from the list.

Why is the old app version is showing even when the app was deleted and downloaded again?

There is an app that I downloaded, which we updated (as we made this app) but when we did, the updates are not showing on the app. I deleted the app and downloaded it again but still the updated version is not showing. I tried downloading the app from another phone and the updated version is showing.
I have tried to research on this and found this link which I found to be most helpful but even after following the steps the old app is still showing on my iphone 4s:

provide a replacement battery. Figure a computer more than a few years
old may be due for a new battery...

be sure to note your product serial number and ask about replacement
battery availability, since that option should be present should it need to
be replaced. Not sure if they'd want to check the magsafe adapter, too.
Hopefully an SMC reset may help, if not see an authorized Apple specialist.

Can't delete old app version after redeploy

Hi everyone.
Commonly we deploy an app new version via +java weblogic.Deployer -adminurl myAdminURL -redeploy -name myApp -source mySource -targets myTargets -verbose+
Upon completion of the redeployment the new app version state is "active" and the old app version state is "retired". Then, we remove the old app.
After the last redeploy we can't remove the old one because the follow error: The application myApp is currently running and may not be deleted
WL Version 10.3
We tried (without success):
Untarget the old app and try to delete it.
Restart the managed servers and try to delete the old app version.
Restart the admin server and try to delete the old app version.
Can someone help us?

Try to restart the server and check whether old app is still in running or not if it then try to make prepaid mode and then try to delete it.

I no longer need these apps and would like to have them completely deleted.

My iTunes 12.1.1.4 is working on Windows 7.
I hover over movies and TV-shows in the purchase list, there is always a grey X in a circle on the left corner above to remove it for ever.
I hover over the deleted apps in the "not on your iPhone" and there's no grey X in a circle in the left corner above.
So I decide to just click there where the grey X in a circle in the left corner above should be and
it disappeared.
No unwanted Apps anymore. No Hiding. A w a y.

I deleted my old Email account because I wanted to create a new one, and I did. However, when ever I send an Email from the Mail app on my laptop it says the Email was sent from my old Email and I just can not get rid of it.

I deleted my old Email and only used my new Email to set up the Mail app on my laptop. And the old Email is completely dead, hotmail.com says the Email no longer excists when I try to sign back in to it however my Emails remain saying 'Sent from Jordan [*old Email*].

One, you cannot delete an Apple ID, all you can do is stop using it and let it fade away.
Two, apps are permanently tied to an aPple ID and can never be transferred to another. You must use that same ID to update an app, or delete the app and repurchase/download under another ID.
