Delivery Output determiantion using Delivery type & Item category

Dear all,
I am facing a problem while triggering output using Delivery type/Item Category access in access sequence xyz. I have maintained the condition record for this access and did all the necessary customization settings.
When i maintain the condition record for other access in Access sequence xyz the out put is being triggered.
After some analysis i found that the Delivery type/Item category is using different communication structures.
ie. Delivery type is using KOMKBV2-LFART. where as Item Category is using KOMPBV2-PSTYV. The output is a header output.
can any one explain the problem here in maintaining different comm structures for an access for generating header output.
Thanks in advance for your inputs.
Best Regards
Satish

Hi,
You mean to say its not triggering the output automatically.....
If that is the case then goto the condition type in IMG and in tab "default values" make the dispatch time as "send immediately when saving the application" this will automatically triggers the output based on the condition records.....

  • Payments based on inventory type, item category...

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a report to show unrecorded liabilities - basically, I need to find out if there are payments/accounting documents/invoice number existing in the system, that has no connecting documents in purchase or sales side. I am able to do this using REGUP/BSEG/VBAP/EKPO (and corresponding header) tables.
    I am stuck at one requirement though.
    "Segregate payments in to inventory, non-inventory, no-link categories based on product/service (item type/item category) or/and vendor type (inventory/non-inventory)."
    Can someone please tell me how to divide payments as mentioned above? Is it based on material type?
    Thanks in advance!

    If FI postings for inventory and non-inventory are posted to different G/L accounts then you should be able to filter that using HKONT field in BSEG. On the purchasing side, if G/L account number won't suffice then check if you can use cost element field KOSTL. On the sales side you should be able to filter this using PRCTR.
    If this approach cannot be used then you have to drill down to VBEP table and check if there is a movement type attached to this order item (for third party items, check for VBEP-LFREL = X). This will be accurate depending on how sales configuration was set up.
    On the purchasing side, use a combination Item category and Account assignment category in table EKPO to identify and segregate the totals.

    PS: The first approach is the best approach and I hope that is how they have configured it in your system

  • Order type & Item Category

    Dear SAPers,
    i used to work with the standard Order Type and Item Category. Now i decided to copy and change them. By raising the sales order (with my order type 9OR) i don't get the item category 9TAN that i created. How can i solve that.
    Thanks

    Hi
    Go to (VOV4) and do the Item category Determination for your Sales Document Type, Item Category Group & Default Item category.  if this assignment is done, then once u raise the sales order then u can find your item category.
    Hope this will help.

  • Suppresing Delivery note prints for certain sales order types/item category

    Hi
    I need to find a way of suppressing some delivery notes from being printed.
    Relating to orders for consignment fill up and consignment issue.
    The delivery notes are needed to be printed for 'Consignment fill up order' type, BUT not for Consignment issue - as this is confusing some of the warehouse staff at month end.
    All have the same delivery type, the only difference i can see is the item category types are different
    Is there a way i can use the sales order type, with customer number as an access sequence for the Output type ?
    -  Or the Item category type ?
    Is it possible to add sales order type or Item category into the FIELD CATALOG :- output for deliveries
    Your help would be much appreciated
    Cheers
    Tony

    Hi,
    I can suggest you something, but do remember that I've never done such kind of thing till date.
    >> Copy LF and create new delivery type
    >> Assign this to your consignment doc. types
    >> Kindly remove the Header output determination procedure assigned to this new delivery type
    >> Then assign output det. procedure at Item level {according to Item category}
    >> Then check if will cater to your requirment or not.
    Please keep one thing in mind that I am giving you a proposal by thinking in one logical way and I can't confirm the practicality of the proposal.

  • PO Delivery date change using IDOC type "PORDCR101"

    Hi All,
    I am trying to create a PO using idoc type "PORDCR101". Everything is fine, PO is getting created. But the problem is that, even if I pass delivery date at item level system is automatically changing delivery date to future date (some of the PO's have delivery date in past and they need to be created as it is).
    I am populating all the required fields (PO_ITEM, SCHED_LINE, DEL_DATCAT_EXT, DELIVERY_DATE, QUANTITY, STAT_DATE) in both the segements "E1BPMEPOSCHEDULE" and "E1BPMEPOSCHEDULEX" (in this segement with X). It's updating the quantity exactly with what I am passing, but it's not considering delivery date. But when I am creating PO manually using ME21N I am able to set delivery date to past date.
    E1BPMEPOSCHEDULE
    PO_ITEM=20
    SCHED_LINE=0001
    DEL_DATCAT_EXT=1
    DELIVERY_DATE=20060509
    QUANTITY=101584
    STAT_DATE=20060509
    E1BPMEPOSCHEDULEX
    PO_ITEM=20
    SCHED_LINE=0001
    PO_ITEMX     =X
    SCHED_LINEX=X
    DEL_DATCAT_EXT=X
    DELIVERY_DATE=X
    QUANTITY=X
    The funny part is IDOC is not even thowing a warning message for this...
    Any idea what I am missing???
    Thanks for your time.

    Ok, I got the answer. For delivery date category (DEL_DATCAT_EXT) we should not be passing 1, but we have to convert it into 'D' (And relevant format for others).

  • Output generation using condition type for deliveries - emailing output

    Hi,
    I have created a specific output type using a condition type functionality. The output generates when delivery picking is complete. I need the output to be in email format. However I require the email to send to a specific address, distinct from the email address defined for the ship-to. Which is the best transmission medium to use? Is there any way an external email address can be defined within a condition record? Can an email address be used for the transmission type 7 Simple Mail?
    Regards,
    Gary

    Good Morning,
    If you want to send an external e-mail use the medium 5. If you want to
    send a mail with SAPoffice than you can not use an e-mail address.
    Instead you should use the name of the user (partner who receives the
    output).
    The medium '7' means internal mail, It was designed for internal use
    for that reason you can set up the execution parameters in order to
    run directly the transaction.
    Another solution could be to reate several partner roles, each partner
    with one own email-adress; run output determination several times,
    each time with different partner (and email-adress).  Although this
    increases the amount of master data that has to be maintained.
    If you have acess to OSS notes, please refer to the following:

    How can i make the link between the material type and the item category when the material has NO BOM ? Otherwise each time a PM order si created the item category has to be filled (stock or no stock). I know it is there i just can't find it.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    Can you brief me on how it works?
    When i checked the setting of link item category with the material type then it shows me that the item category is to be defined based on the material type and maintenance plant. But what is the relation in term of the order type i.e. whenever i create any order with a specifica order type, the default item category should get reflected on the componenets tab of the order?
    Can you guide me how to do this setting.

    Hi Experts,
                     I have a question on I/B Delivery item category determination. I have gone through lot of threads and didn't meet my specific question.
    During creation of I/B Delivery against PO, System determines one item category by default. I want to overwrite during creation of I/B Delivery. But dont know how.
    I have added my new item category ZLN as alternative item category in OVLP.
    Which user exit i can use to flip this value?
    Thank you

    Hello Kris
    Try BADI

    or
    FILL_DELIVERY_ITEM.
    You will find documentation against the IMG activity itself"

    In my Quality server the system determines Item Cat as ULN (NLNORMCHSP = ULN)
    The setting for Both Item cat is same Except NLN is marked for Error during over delivery.
    Pls suggest me which one is appropriate.

  • Item category for delivery and order related billing.

    Hi All,
    I have am faceing one problem in QEC. My client having delivery related billing and order related billing. For we have maintain only one billling document(order related and delivery related).
    I have a item category in the sales order Zo09 for this item category system allowing the user to create both billing documents(order and delivery related) Please advise how i can stop the users to create delivery related and order related.
    but we have configured delivery related eventhough system allowing to create both billing documents.
    Please do needful.
    Thanks,

    Hi
    My client having delivery related billing and order related billing. For we have maintain only one billling document (order related and delivery related).
    What is the meaning of this statement ?
    Say in a single order or order type  say OR there can be two materials with different item categories say TAN and ZTAN and
    TAN with billing relevance as A( delivery related billing) and ZTAN with billing relevance as B (order related billing )
    If that happens the billing will be split
    In VOV8 we mention for OR the order related billing as F1 and delivery related billing as F2 in the billing tab
    Now in billing TAN will pick F2 as it is delivery related billing
    and
    ZTAN will pick F1 as it is order related billing
    Suppose in your sales doc type if you have mentioned both as F2 then also there will a billing split  in billing there will be two F2 invoices TAN will pick one  F2 invoice and ZTAN will pick another F2 invoice and this is a wrong way of doing things
    I have a item category in the sales order Zo09 for this item category system allowing the user to create both billing documents(order and delivery related) Please advise how i can stop the users to create delivery related and order related
    How can one item category can pick both  order related and delivery related billing?
    Not at all possible in SAP as we can mention only one control in the billing relevance field in item cat
    Your issue needs more clarity  about your problem for suggesting some suitable help

  • New Item category Determination in delivery

    Hi Experts ,
    I want new item category to be determined in delivery i did all the customisation for Del Item category to be determined in IMG ,any suggestions in this .
    Regards
    VKS

    Hi,
    You have to define the new item categories for the deliveries in the IMG
    path:
    IMG-->LOGISTICS EXECUTION-->SHIPPING-->DELIVERIES-->DEFINE ITEM CATEGORIES
    After defining the Item categories yo have to assing the item categories to the delivery documents in the IMG
    Path:
    IMG-->LE-->SHIPPING-->DELIVERIES-->DEFINE ITEM CATEGORY DETERMINATION IN DELIVERIES
    here you have to assign the default item categories for the
    DELIVERY DOCUMENT TYPE
    ITEM CATEGORY GROUP
    USAGE
    HIGHER LEVEL ITEM CATEGORY
    for the above combination assign the default item category and save
    Now the item category will be atomatically determined in the transaciton of delivery creation once you create the delivery
    Please check the above settings and revert

  • What is the use of usage in item category determination?

    Hi Gurus,
    What is the use of usage in item category determination? pls give examples.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hi John,
    Assign Item Categories
    In this menu option, you can specify which item categories the system proposes during document processing for each sales document type and item category group. At the same time, you can specify additional item categories with which the system default can be overwritten. There is a maximum of three possible alternative item categories.
    If, for example, you enter a material with the item category group NORM in a standard order, the SAP System determines the allowed item category via the assignment of item categories to sales document types and item category groups.
    The system default and the allowed alternatives are always determined from the sales document type and one or two further criteria. The system default depends on the following criteria:
    sales document type
    item category group
    item category of the higher-level item
    item category usage
    Note
    The SAP System automatically copies the item category determined for a sales document item to the delivery.
    Recommendation
    Depending on the initial situation you can start the assignment differently:
    When you define a new sales document type, you should specify the proposed and the allowed item categories for the materials that are represented by the item category group.
    When you define a new item category, you should specify for which sales document types an item category is proposed or which item category is possible for the materials represented by the item category group.
    When you define a new item category group, you are to enhance the assignment of item categories to sales document types by this new item category group.
    Actions
    To define item category determination, proceed, for example, as follows:
    1. Choose the sales document type to which you want to assign item categories.
    2. Then choose one of the item category groups.
    3. Specify all the allowed item categories for the combination of sales document type and item category group.
    If you are dealing with a non-material item, you must specify the corresponding item usage.
    If it is a subitem, specify the item category of the higher-level item.
    If it is an item category that is to be proposed in the sales document, you must indicate the combination of item category, item category group and sales document type as a default value.
    4. If necessary, specify between one and a maximum of three item categories, with which the system default can be manually overwritten during document processing.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Repeat Delivery Output

    Hi,
    I would like to repeat output of a delivery header using a BDC. To do this I use a BDC to copy the first line in the table control in screen Delivery:Output and press the button repeat output. But what if no line exists there in the table control to repeat the output.
    1. Is there a way I can determine the output mediums of a delivery (any table or function module??), in this way if there exists no output medium I can simply skip repeating the output.
    2. Is there a BAPI that can help me repeat the output of delivery header.

    Hello Grame
    In order to repeat (mass) delivery output I use transaction VL71.
    For this transaction you could generated two versions of BDC or, even better, eCATTs:
    - one version where processiing mode = '1' (= initial output)
    - one version where processing mode = '2' (= repeated output)
    Now you could simply combine the two eCATTs in the way that if the first one (mode = 1) fails (-> message "No messages for initial processing exist") then excecute the second eCATT (mode = 2).
    You may check table NAST in advance for existing records but then you need to know the output type.
    Regards
      Uwe
