Dell Tablet Dock FW Update 0.41.23, A03 with Dell Venue 11 Pro (7130/7139) - monitors issue

I have Dell Venue 11 Pro (7130/7139).
I have installed “Dell Tablet Dock FW Update  0.41.23, A03” http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=97N0V  (previous version was Version 0.41.19, A02). Installation completed successfully, but my monitors (connected though DP and HDMI) disappeared after installation (system do not see any monitor connected trough Dell Tablet Dock).
I have restarted system, disconnected / reconnected power from “Dell Tablet Dock” – nothing helped.
I tried to revert to previous version  0.41.19, A02, but the installation process requires monitors to be connected to “Dell Tablet Dock”. But they are connected, system simply do not see them!
Could you help me with this issue or with advice, hot to force previous version 0.41.19, A02 installation (to ignore monitor connection check)?

I had almost the same problem. I used Dell Venue 11 Pro (7130/7139) with Dock and NEC MultiSync LCD 1770 NX through HDMI-DVi cable. There were no probs while tablet was on, however when it was sleeping or off the NEC MultiSync LCD 1770 NX permanently (each 2-3 seconds) showed the sign that there were no input signal. It was not critical for me, however it was one more my disappointment in Dell new products (I have used Dell latitude D620 and dock for 7 years without any problems, thats why I chose Dell Venue 11 Pro, assuming that the Dell quality remains the same... I was wrong, Dell Venue 11 Pro has too much loose ends).
Yesterday I updated Dock firmware to “Dell Tablet Dock FW Update  0.41.23, A03” and Dell lost NEC. I.e. the monitor was connected, but the tablet just did not want to see it or recognise. I connected dock to another monitor Samsung SyncMaster 226CW (took from my friend) through the same HDMI-DVI cable and found that it is working with it. So I decided to downgrade the Dock firmware to 0.41.19, A02 (the only previous version I found at dell support), however it was impossible with my NEC, as tablet didn't see it. I connected again the tablet to  Samsung SyncMaster 226CW which was recognised through the dock and successfully downgraded the firmware to 0.41.19, A02. Afterwards connected my old NEC MultiSync LCD 1770 NX and fortunately it was found by my Dell tablet and dock. Now it's working.

    Just bought a Dell Venue 11 Pro Tablet Docking Station and it won't output to any monitor via HDMI or Displayport.
    I've tried updating the firmware to V02 and V03. I get the message:
    Current On-Board Firmware is 0.41.9
    Do you want to update with firmware version 0.41.23 (V03) 0.41.19 (V02)
    When I select yes I get the following error:
    Error: Please unplug the power connector from the Dell desktop dock for 15 seconds, then plug the power connector back into the Dell desktop dock and try again.
    This I keep repeating but it will not update.
    The model number of the dock is: K10A001.
    The only other thing I notice is that the power adapter does not appear the same as any of the pictures I have seen and is a Dell 74VT4 (65w) which seems be for a Dell XPS 18 (1810).
    Please help as I think this may need to be sent back.

    I've exactly the same problem. I've also the model number K10A001 and the current Firmware 0.41.9, and it is also not possible for me to flash the docking station.
    This is also problematic because only one monitor of the two connected monitors works. An this monitor shows only a picture, if it is plugged, after the dockingstation and the Venue 11 Pro has been started.
    I think there is maybe an improved flash utility required in order to allow to flash the docking station? If some one had succeeded please respond.

    I have read that it is possible to use Blackberry Desktop with Windows 8 & 8.1.  And I have read that Blackberry Desktop works with any version of Outlook other than 2013.   I have been told by Microsoft that I can install any version of Outlook older than 2013 onto a Windows 8 or 8.1 device.  HAS anyone out there done this.  I really like my Torch 9800 and wish to be able to use it with the new Dell tablet.  OR does anyone have any other inexpensive tablet ideas.

    Please re-read the above system requirements page...I'm not at all sure that the Desktop Software is compatible with any tablet at all...but you need to compare your gear against what the Desktop Software supports.

  • Delete key in on screen keyboard for Dell Venue Pro 8 tablet?

    Using Windows 8.1 on a Dell Venue Pro 8 tablet. The software, onscreen keyboard does not have a Delete key. That makes it very hard to do any editing after highlighting a block of text. Hitting the backspace key takes it out of the block edit mode and
    just deletes on letter at a time. Anyone know if this is a general Windows tablet problem or possibly some unique to the Dell Venu Pro 8 tablet? I would like to change the keyboard layout to include the Delete key. Also, is there setting so it could recognize
    when to capitalize a word? I would think that my Sumsung phone would not have a better software keyboard, but it has a much, much better version in SwiftKey.

    I guess you mean the "touch keyboard" ?
    There is a "keyboard selector" key in the bottom right hand corner, which allows you to select alternative layouts - have you tried that?

  • ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock - Firmware update doesn't work

    My company has bought over 200 ThinkPad USB 3.0 Docks to use with HP Folios to connect dual and single monitors.  Some users have experience multiple issues with this product and I am trying to determine how to resolve these issues.  I first want to update the firmware that is located here:  http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/guides-and-manuals/detail.page?DocID=UM014961

    I have the USB 3.0 dock connected to the 3.0 USB port on the Folio.  The unit I am testing seems to be working fine as I have dual monitors up, external keyboard and mouse are working. 
    I ran the .exe, a command window comes up, and it attempted to look for the device.  The text is as shown:
    1. Initialzation<>   Success
    Start Search HUB
    !!!No device found!
    Press any key to continue . . .
    This has been tried on several devices and it simply does not work.  Does anybody have any suggestions?  I have contacted support which was a complete waste of time because they have no idea what I am talking about.

    I'm going to return my dock if possible.  My main problem is that I cannot view Vmware virtual machine which is required for work.  2nd I can't view photos on my dual screens, it just hangs saying "Loading...", but I can view them on my W520 LCD Display.  3rd, I can't view a downloaded video, as in an .mp4.  I disabled the hardware acceleration in Firefox, so I can see streaming video.
    I have a Thinkpad W520 and an X1 Carbon and both exhibit the same problems with the dock.
    I tried upgrading the DisplayLink Drivers to the 7.x version and that created a slew of problems.  The Dock firmware driver link in the OP doesn't work either.  As mentioned it couldn't find the device.  Uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling the stock one cause lots of problems with my W520.  The dock would try to connect but it kept connecting and disconnecting and the cycle would continue infinitly.   It wasn't until I did a system restore that I could get it working again to where I can use the dock again.
    I am extremely dissapointed with this dock.

    When future firmware updates become available for iPhone via iTunes, is it safe to go through the update process connecting the iPhone to my MacBook Pro via the Dock or must it be using the cable only?
    I read on an online forum that one user tried updating to 2.0.1 with the iPhone connected to the dock and it bricked it.

    I use the universal doc to connect my iPhone to my iMac and there are no issues.
    I did notice that there have been many posts in here regarding loosing music, contents, photos, etc and apps not working when using iTunes 7.7.1. So update/sync with caution. The iPhone would only be bricked if you did anything that Apple does not want you to do.

    Does updating the 4th generation iPod touch with iOS6 keep it from working with a Logitech docking station/boombox? Nothing is wrong with the boombox.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

    If it still does not work that means that the update broke compatibility. That happens sometimes. You will have to wait for an update to either iPod's iOS or the dock's firmware.

    iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open

    Check for .dll files
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
    If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
    Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
    Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
    Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

    Hello, minor thing - I typically leave my computer on all the time. I don't use iCal too often but I have the icon in the dock. I am wondering if there is a way to have the dock icon update without launching iCal? It would be nice that the current date is displayed when I view the dock. I guess I could schedule iCal to be launched and then quit once a day. I don't know, any suggestions?

    you have to restore to ios 6 and then sign in with your own apple id,
    any apps etc on the iphone now, will not be able to be backed up and used in the future as they are not linked to your apple ID. and if you plan on using the previous owners ID then you need there [*** which I assume you dont have.
    simply just restore using itunes then setup as new with all your details and your done, you can go to the appstore and start getting your own apps

    Same URL is not working in browser as well, it's getting timeout there. If I fire same URL with http then it prompt for actual binary.
    ftp specific entry is also present under registry.

    It seems that some device block the FTP traffic. Please check if any firewall or filter block the ftp traffic from ftp.dell.com.

    To lenovo.   The reason I bought this tab is that I believe it has good quality and its performance is excellent especially from lenovo. But if lenovo reasons out that they cannot override the code that is in apk  itself from Google playstore. Can u provide a link or procedure how to go back from lollipop to KitKat until it is resolved? Because we cannot do the things we should do especially work related if we can't download or update any apps tnx. 

  • X220 Tablet docking power loss

    I recently acquired a secondhand Series 3 dock (removed the aligner and rubberbumper thingy so it would fit) to alleviate the issue with the power jack on the unit itself being broken until the replacement part arrives. I'm wondering if power loss on docking is typical for this model or if it's a symptom of something significantly worse. OS is Win7 Ultimate, i7-2620m, 8GB RAM, two-finger screen, busted power jack if any of that matters.

    I have an X220.  Installed Power Manager, Hot Key, Access Connections with no problem. I had to click on the "Troubleshoot Compatibility" to install Access - then click on an option where I could say "this program worked on Windows 7" and then "next" and it installed with no problem.  The "compatibility" option tried to make the program compatible with XP SP3 but I clicked I think the other option on that screen and was able to basically force it to try and run as W7 compatible.
