Delta issue for Customized field in LO Datasource.

Hello,
I have one customized field 'ZCOORNAME' in the DS 2LIS_05_Q0NOTIF. I have changed this field in Tcode- QM02 and checked the changes in TCODE - LBWQ (Extraction Queue) and I got the Changed entry but now when i am trigerring the V3 Job, these changes are not getting populated in RSA7 (Delta Queue).
For standard field changes, it is capturing delta properly, the problem is with only customized fileds..Can anyone put some light on this issue ....
Can you pls le me know when will be the Customer Exit(CMOD) is going to hit ? Before the Delta Queue or After the Delta Queue or is it before the Extraction Queue / After the Extraction Queue ???

Please try activating the datasopurce again and try it.

he customer exit is hit before the entries are populated in extraction queue. Actually, when the transaction is done, the changes are written to database table and at the same time into the extraction queue. Just before going to extraction queue, the custom fields get populated in customer exit.

Delta problem for enhanced field in master datasource

Dear Experts,
I have a master datasource 0customer_attr. I have enhanced it with field sales group. Daily delta comes for this datasource.
But when user changed sales group for a customer from s1 to s2 then it is not coming in delta.
Still there is old sales group exist in BI for particular customer. In short , delta is not coming for enhanced field.
Please advise what should i do ?

The problem is that no delta is posted to the message type for KNA1 in the bdpcv/s tables because the orignatting field is a KNVV field
So if KNVV was changed ie sales group it will not post a ale change pointer for KNA1 therefore the delta for KNA1 will not pick up any change
However if there was a change to KNA1 on the same day as the KNVV changwe then the delta will pick up the change
The way to get around this is to either use a KNVV delta datasource into BW and then enhance 0Customer that way via transformations into the customer infoobject in BW only
Or to put a user exit into the KNVV change on R3 to generate an ale change pointer for KNA1(ie every change in KNVV will generate a change in the KNA1 extractor)

Problem in delta management for custom fields added in standard Table

Hi developers,
we have a problem, when a sales order is modified in a field custom, added in tables (VBAP-VBAK), the delta BW doesn't recognize the modifications. The data type of these fields haven't the flag (Change document) setted in
view Definition.
If this flag is setted, Can the delta BW recognize the modifications of the custom fields?

You cannot get delta by just appending fields to extract structure & writing the user exit coding as this user exit code is run by the extractor after the X- and Y- tables are compared to create the before & after images.
You have to do this procedure by enhancing LIS comm structures like MCVBAP (for example).

Delta enabling for Custom fields after Master Data Enhancement

Dear Friends,
Two new custom fields were added to MARA table in ECC. I enhanced the extractor 0MATERIAL_ATTR by adding an append structure and added these new fields. For enabling DELTA, I did the following:
1. In table ROOSGEN lookup the 'Message Type' for extractor 0MATERIAL_ATTR. Found 'RS0152' as message type.
2. Used transaction BD52 to create and entry in table 'TBD62' for Message Type - 'RS0152', Change object- 'MATERIAL' and fields - ZFIELD1 and ZFIELD2.
3. Did a SCC1 in the test system for the transport carrying the above changes and did a re-init in BW. Then did a DELTA.
I am seeing 0 records for DELTA eventhough I made some changes to the ZFIELDS in ECC.
Please share your thoughts and suggestions if I am missing anything.

Hi Raj,
Check the following
1) If you transport the changes, the message type name changes across the system
2) The Data Element of the Z fields, check whether you have set the 'Change Documents' option in the 'DEFINITION' tab(Below th Parameter ID).

Shopping Cart Search issue for Custom field

Hi,
I added one custom field into Shopping cart basic data tab. And it is also displaying in extended search place.
When i am trying to search the shopping cart using custom field i am not getting any result. But if i gave any Time Frame then it's picking up.
What is the reason it's not picking up without any condition.

Master Datasource Update for custom fields

I have a standard master data source for 0customer, I need some custom fields that are enhanced in the same SoURCE TABLE KNA1. please let me know if
1. i can create the generic data source Z_DS_CUSTOMER for custom fields only from KNA1
2. Create transformation 1 to Map the data source Z_DS_CUSTOMER to Ocustomer to load the custom fields only and set no transformation for other standard fields
3. Create transformation 2 to Map the data source 0customer_attr to same Ocustomer to load the standard fields.set no transformation for other custom fields
4. Then Load via DTP Standard fields first via transformation 2
5. Then Load via DTP custom fields first via transformation 1
Will the above will work fine, and I can avoid any enhancement to master datasource 0customer_attr
please help me with solution.

Please tell me what is the need to do all the above why can't I feed directly the Infoobject with the below PLEASE tell me what will be the bad impact on design if I do the below.since my client is asking justification for build of each BI object

Search Help for Custom field in Sourcing Cockpit

Hi SRM Experts,
I added custom field "rush order" in the Structures as per requirement. I added code in MODIFY_SCREEN function module. Search help is working for "rush order" in Process Purchase Orders (to search PO) and Check Status (Searching Shopping Cart). But it is not working in sourcing cockpit. Please guide or suggest me is there any additional settings or programming is required to have search help for custom fields in Sourcing Cockpit.

i want to display this i_final table in alv. for that i genetrate one fieldcatalog

how can i get the F$ help for this custom fields Zposition-plans..

PLANS give the check table name as T528B
then it will automatically give the search help
or you can create your own search help(elementary) and add to that field

Do you know if it's possible to manage that with the field groups for customer field (I couldn't achieve that yet), or if we have to develop a dedicated webdynpro application for that?

You need to use programs provided by SAP to handle dynamic behaviour.
The idea is to store your BDC data into a file. (If you are already reading
from a file, you still may have to write to a file suitable for the
program).
The SAP standad program can be called using a SUBMIT.
Here are two programs that you can try :
For creation of Customers : RFBIDE00
For creation of Vendors : RFBIKR00.

Change Log for Custom fields

Hi All,
I need the change log for custom fields added in BP transaction codes.
Basically, for tracking the changes of master data in CDHDR and CDPOS tables we will enable the checkbox of dataelement related to custom field.
As for SAP fields in BP transaction code the change history is reflecting in CDHDR/CDPOS tables. i have enabled that for custom fields added to BP transaction code but i could not see the change history for such fields.
Please let us know if iam missing any other thing?

Apart from clicking the checkbox in dataelement...
There are some settings need to be done by BASIS
and some settings and entries should be made in SCOD t-code
create entriy for change document here..

Strategy for Custom Fields

Hi Everyone,
I've a question related to handling of custom fields during upgrade.
Scenario:
9.0 delivered record has a custom field added to it.
After initial pass, following happened.
1. 9.0 delivered record was replaced by 9.2 delivered record structure
2. Custom Field was deleted
3. Data for the custom field was dropped too..
Q1 What should be the best strategy to get the data and field back... Here is what I understand.
Keep 9.2 record
Add custom field to it.
Import data for custom field from another 9.0 environment.
Suggestions welcome.

during initial move don't drop the custom added fields which are needed.

For business transactions we can see changed documents under Extras menu.
I have custom tabs & custom fields in business transaction. We need to see the custom field changes by value & user in the above menu. Is it possible? how?

Negative values for Custom field in SAP coding block !

Hi All,
Hope all of you are doing fine.
I need your valuable suggestion/possible workaround for the following requirement.
u2022 The project requires me to add a custom new field to SAP coding block, which can take negative numeric values.
u2022 The standard u201Caddition of custom fieldu201D configuration allows me to have the data type of the newly added custom field as either NUMC or CHAR. NUMC data type does not allow negative values. Standard configuration does not allow me to choose other data types (for custom field addition) like QUAN which can allow negative values (by checking the Sign at domain level in data type).
u2022 Moreover, once I have added the custom field, itu2019s not possible to change the data type of the newly added field (say from NUMC to QUAN).
I wanted to know if anyone of you have any project experience/knowledge about possible workaround, where we can add a custom field in SAP coding block, which can accept negative numeric values (through standard configuration or otherwise).

No experience on that, but I strongly advise you to not trying to do something else than what was designed by SAP. So, you can create a character type field, with for example a field exit (though this technology is obsolete, it's very useful in that case) to validate its content (and reformat it if needed).
Note that from a functional perspective, I think an amount is strange in the coding block, so maybe ask the functional people to know why they need it...

Delta Enabling for Enhanced field

I have enhancement on standard datasource (Datasource is from Customer Service Appl and enhanced field is from PMCO table and its linked through OBJNR and OBJNR is Primary key in PMCO table and standard field in datasource). My question when users make any change to this field in PMCO table, this particular record is not being picked by delta. How should i make this field delta capable. Since OBJNR is generated is everytime a new order is created, and when they change at PMCO Table since there is no change in OBJNR no delta is picked up.
I have another option is to ask user to do pseudo change on order when they make changes on PMCO table. Is there any other option for this so system can dynamically consider this change.

   I dont think you will get delta for your enhaced field until main record is chaged.
   We can not ask to chage the record for Delta.
   Try this:
   Create one more ODS and load data(in Overwrite) using generic extraction from table PMCO(If you have change data and creation data, you can selectively pull).
   While loading data from your main extractor, assign values for PMCO field in BW update rules from this ODS.

Transfer OTL to Payroll is not working for Custom Field Values

Hi,
We have Extended the Payroll and Project layout in OTL to include custom fields.
Now linked the fields to Element entries input values.
The issue happens when a retro batch is processed and transfered to Payroll the input values are not getting pulled properly.
i.e. The retro batch creates a positive value for the new retro entry and a Counter negative value for the old record.
Only in the case of Negative value, the issue is happening. For the positive value it is pulling the record properly from the custom fields.
Can you please let me know, how to debug the same.
Also this issue happens randomly not all the employees are facing this issue.

jjust import the api in your custom Action class
