Derivation for retraction?

Hi gurus,
How can I set derivation for data migration from BW to R/3 (retraction)? I am transfering plan data using FMCYCOPI_BW, but I need derivation for this data. When I use fmbprri for set derivation that does not work.
Thank you
Gennady

Two gr/ir accounts have been determined with object class investment and overhead. The FI document picking up different accounts and not the same account for pm01/pm02/pm03/pm04 orders and the costs are getting settled to wrong wbs elements.(example a pm order with object class investment is getting settled to wbs element with object class overhead). The right account in not getting picked up.

  • COPA derivation for thecombination of Cost center and Cost element/GL accou

    Hi Gurus,
In COPA derivation using KEDR i am trying to make a derivation for the
combination of Cost center and Cost element. Here i got following problems
    • While posting FI document using t.code FB50 system not automatically
updating the fields Cost center and cost element in Profitability
segment. Hence system not posting COPA document. How can i make this
derivation? Is there any note should i apply regarding these.
    • How can i create cost element as characteristic.
    • If i configure derivation for the combination of Cost center and cost
element will it be posted with copa document for postings or automatic
    postings from MM,HR and FI
Pls provide me solution at the earliest.
    Thanks and Best regards,

    Hi Murali
    Thanks for update
    I explain my req clearly
For me segment is Distribution channel field (EXPORT and DOMESTIC)
If GL account is 1000-2000     always                      Export
If GL account is 2001-3000    and Cost center is     X then Export.
If GL account is 2001-3000    and Cost center is     Y then Domestic.
Based on above REQ i am making derivation using KEDR T.code.
These postings should work for all modules postings such as MM, HR also.
Actually this should work automatically and after saving the transaction we should have copa document also.
But problem is in source fields of derivation we have GL account (HKONT) and Cost element (KSTAR). I am making derivation using either of these.
But after posting document system not giving COPA document.
I found the reason is  at GL postings we are giving input to GL account (HKONT) but we took in KEDR source field as GL account (SAKNR). GL account (HKONT) is not updating GL account (SAKNR) field in PSEG screen in Fb50. Even i try with cost element (KSTAR), GL account (HKONT) is not updating this in PSEG screen in fb50.
If GL account (HKONT) updates either GL account (SAKNR) or cost element (KSTAR) at the time of posting FB50
    Or
If we have the field GL account (HKONT) as source field in KEDR i hope my problem
    Get solved.
If you want further info pls give me your mobile number then i ll call you

  • Batch derivation for recursive bom

    hello,
anybody please help me. when iam doing batch derivation for recursive BOM its not working. my recipent batch no is alo coming in sender batch no. its doing deling between sender batch no and recipent batch no. how can i solve this issue.
    thanks and regards
    bhakta.

    Hi Bhakta,
Bigger problem in your case is not multiple Batches of RM but more then one Batch No. of Header Material in single production Order.I guess in your case Batch No. are triggered at the time of GR and not in Production Order at the time of Release.Correct?
But up to my knowledge Batch Derivation is triggered at the time of Batch Creation in Production order. For which you have to first carried out Batch Derivation of sender Material. But in your cases the scenario is totally different due to Batch is created at the time of GR.So Difficult one and can be possible if you go with 1 Batch for 1 prod. order.

  • Incorrect Commitment item derived for GR/IR for service orders

    Hi Guys
We are currently on support pack 14, release 200 of EA-PS. I'm experiencing problems in with FM account assignment derivation. Especially with regards to service entry sheets.
The system is deriving account assignments well from goods reciepts to invoice reciept stage. The problem kicks in when clearing GR/IR - clearing using transaction code MR11. The system derives the expenditure commitment item using the GR/IR account in FI. I created assignments for my commitment items to be derived from G/L accounts as there is a one to one relationship between my G/L account and commitment item.
This condition results in a debit and credit entry being posted to the same commitment item in one transaction. I would expect only one item to be posted to the expense commitment item as it is the only one in the two line document whose financial transaction field set to 30. The GR/IR commitment's financial field is set to 40.
    Regards
    Thuso Mudau.

    Hi,
First thing I's do is to activate the FMDERIVE trace and see what is this commitment item derived from.
See what GL accounts are posted in the financial doc, and have a look at the log to see if the commitment item is derived directly from those acocunts.
    Let me know the results...

  • Best practice for retraction of data from BPC 10.0 to General Ledger

    Hi All,
I have the requirement to retract data from BPC 10.0 to General Ledger.
What is the best practice for doing this?
I have read the "How To... Retract data from BPC 7.5 NetWeaver to SAP ERP Cost Center Accounting, Part I", but this is prepared to transfer data to Cost Center accounting. Will General Ledger be populated automatically?
What is your opinion on this?
    Best regards,

    Hi Rich,
In BPC 10 NW, the data entered in Input Forms has to be retracted to ECC.
For this retraction we are following below link.

  • Allocated ATP derivation for bulk loads and stealing

    Gurus,
We are designing a solution where the requirement is to derive ATP for more than a million items every day. For around a 250,000 items, we need to know the maximum quantity available for an item, org, demand class (including Stealing).
We need to know the availability for future dates (like Horizontal plan) which includes stealing. We are using Allocated ATP and we are in R12.2.3.
    Questions:
    1) As per the document (Doc ID 150908.1) ATP API Description R12 (ATP API MRP_ATP_PUB.Call_ATP) the API can be used derive multiple items in a single call. Is there a limit on the number of items can be passed in a single call?
    2) Can we derive ATP values including stealing in a single call? If so, which of the output record type can be referred to ATP_Rec_Typ, ATP_Period_Typ and ATP_Supply_Demand_Typ?
    3) Can we derive future availability of items in a single call? We saw the output of X_ATP_PERIOD which seem to give the horizontal plan. Can we get the availability with stealing in horizontal plan in a single ATP call itself?
    4) If API is not the suitable approach, can you please let us know the table/logic that can be used for derivation?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Ram.

What's the benefit of including "IF  :NEW.col1  IS NULL" statement? If I leave it out and someone tries to insert a value not using the trigger it changes the value for me. I can see that being good and bad, but it keeps them from not using the sequence.
The benefit is that it allows you to manually assign the column value if you want to. Whether that is a 'benefit' for your use case or not is for you to decide.
But I'm trying to decide when and if I should use this. I wouldn't consider it but we've got Informatica developers that insist on writing dynamic sql functions to pull values for sequences to use in inserts because they can't reference the nextval in the their workflows.
Don't use Informatica to do something that can be done using Oracle. The strength and utility of an ETL tool is in doing things that the database either can NOT do or cannot do efficiently: for example pulling data from multiple databases and flat files for insert into a target database. The goal being to get ALL of the data into the target database as quickly and efficiently as possible. Then you can apply the full power of the target database to ALL of the data.

  • FM Derivation for Groups in ECC 6.0

    Hi people
In ECC 6.0 Public Sector Mgmt, How can we derive Fund Center by Order/WBS Element Groups? and also Commitment Item by Cost Element Groups?
I'd already added the related components to Table FMDERIVE and the neccesary rules in T-code FMDERIVE but the system still cant derive Fund Center/Commitment Item by groups..
    thanks
    irwan

    Hi,
It's not so simple, but could be done. You can create a rule in FMDERIVE using 'Enhancement' option. The, you can write a small ABAP program using BAPIs to get a group for your CO object (for example, for cost centres use BAPI_COSTCENTERGROUP_GETDETAIL) and eventually derive the desirable FM object.

  • Fund Center & Commitment ITem Derivation for Service Procurement

    HI,
My scenario is for construction business. There are number of services which are procured. PO is raised to the vendor. All these services gets booked under one GL account.
Each of this service is budgeted separately. I have created separate CI for all these services (But one FC). I am not able to derive the FC & CI automatically for individual service.
Can anyone help us in this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ajay

    Thanks Eli.
I have now maintained derivation rule. With some BADI's & exits system is picking up the correct commitment item against service master. Now the problem is, if PO is for single service then system checks budget correctly. But once I put multiple service master (having separate CI in FMDERIVE), system picks up commt item against line item 0010 & post both the transaction against that CI consuming budget.
I need entry to be posted to individual commt items.
Let me know if any changes are required to be done.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • FM Derivation for Assets

    Hi,
Background of Funds Management account assignment in my organization are:-
The Fund Center is equated to Cost Center and Commitment Item is equated to GL Account, both in exact values. The Account Determination field in Asset Master is also equated exactly to the GL Account.
I need to configure derivation of Fund Center from Cost Center field in Asset Master and Commitment Item from Account Determination field in Asset Master.
Please help to suggest how best I can configure the derivation.
    Regards
    Bernard

    Hi,
Have you maintained the commitment item in the GL account if i remember the Commitment item is mandatory field so it would derive it automatically. For the fund centre you will have to write your own derivation rule in the transaction FMDERIVER based on your requirement. you can enable simulation of derivation rule and see what item it is not able to derive and modify your rule accordingly.

  • Incorrect material group derivation for Profitability Analysis doucment

    Hi Gurus,

    Source fields for table lookup:
    MARA-MATNR = COPA-ARTNR
Assignement of Table fields to target fields:
    MARA-MATKL = COPA-MATKL

  • No funds center derived for GR IR account

    Dear all,
We have faced a strange issue in Funds Management. We have a GR IR GL account for which system automatically derives the commitment item and fund center based on those in the PO. That is, whatever FC and CI are maintained in the PO, the GR IR account derives the same accounts during MIRO.
However this is true only for material POs. We have created a service PO for a specific network of a project. In this particular case the system is not allowing us to post the invoice as it cannot derive the fund center. It seems during MIRO, the FM accounts of PO are not getting linked to the GR IR account. Please note that GR (or service entry sheet entry) is not relevant for budget consumption. Budget consumption takes place during PR,PO and MIRO.
Request your input in this regard.
    Thanks
    Snigdho

    Hi,
First of all, you need to be sure that all existent correction notes are implemented in your system.
Please check if the following notes are applied in your system (including manual steps):
1289547 FM account assignment incorrect in GR/IR clearing in service
1327560 GR Account Assignments based on previoustly posted SES
1429223 GR Account Assignments based on previoustly posted SES II
1450965 FM account assignment incorrectly inherited from PO
1480503 FM account assignment for GL line overwritten in MIRO
1502874 Planned Delivery Costs are not updated during GR/IR postings
These notes correct wrong behaviours in include LFMCOBLF06 related to account assignment.
If the notes are not there but are valid to your current release/package, please apply all in one test system and retest your issue.
Regarding inheriting the FM assignments,  material po's can retrieve the FM account assignments from the FM tables.
This ensures that the current FM account assigments are always used.
However, in the case of Services, it is not possible to use the FM tables as it is not guaranteed that the correct Account assigment will be retrieved.  So, the SES table ESKN is used instead. The ESKN record is created at the time the SES is created.
In Summary: Due to the structure of Service documents, the FM tables cannot be used to access the previous document's account assignment.  Material documents can use the FM tables to get the previous account assignemnt.  So, for Material documents, FMDERIVE does not need to be called when a predecessor document is found. However, FMDERIVE needs to be called for SES because the SES application table does not store FM fields.  So, this needs to be rederived.
I suggest you also to read SAP Note 923672 (do not apply it).
The account assignments on the SES screen are indeed changable. This is part of the standard design for SES process. Unfortunately, FM cannot control if the fields on the account assignment popup screen should be in edit, display, or hidden mode.  This screen is control by SES, therefore is good that you check also this customizing in MM:
IMG - Materials Management - Purchasing - Account Assignment - Maintain Account Assignment Categories
In this activity, for the account assignment category which is the account assignment category used in the P.O., you have flag 'Acct. Assg. Changeable', then, the account assignment should be derived again. Not sure if you can restrict by different processes and for SES have this flag not marked so FMDERIVE will be not called and the FM account assignments would be inherit from the PO.
From my understanding, if the PO concern is a service PO, it is legitimate to accept the service (via ML81N) with different account assignments.  Hence, the account assignment fields are not hidden or in display mode only.
From FM point of view, if a user does not deliberately change the account assignments on the SES screen or FMDERIVE is not setup to overwrite the FM account assignments, then by default the FM account assignments are inherited from the PO.
I hope this helps to overcome your issue.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • Profit Ctr derivation for under payment auto posting in F-28

    Hello,
I'm trying to apply a customer short payment to an open AR invoice in F-28. We have a 10% tolerance so the invoice is being cleared and remainder booked to the underpayment account. However, this is a revenue series accounts and requires a profit center but SAP is not able to derive the profit center for this account. I was expecting it to find the same profit center that was booked on the AR line of the invoice after splitting.
    So, here is the process.
When Billing/AR invoice is posted in SAP either via the billing document in SD or directly in FI, SAP books the following posting.
Debit Customer/AR  (No Profit Center at the time of posting)(Entry view)
Credit Revenue (Profit Center is a required field and populated either from the Billing Doc. material or manually in FI)
When this invoice above is saved, new GL Splitting functionality stamps the profit center from the Revenue line on to the Customer Line, so user will see the following. Note that this functionality is working fine.
Debit Customer (Profit Center from the Revenue Line)(GL View)
Credit Revenue (Profit Center from Billing Doc)
When the incoming cash is applied to the customer invoice above in F-28, if the Tolerances are setup, SAP books the following entry.
    Debit Cash/Bank (No Profit Center)
Debit Under Payment (No Profit Center)
Credit Customer (Profit Center from the invoice)(GL View)
Now, when splitting process is done, I am expecting the profit center from the AR line(derived from the original invoice) to be stamped to the Underpayment and Bank Account lines but that is not happening.
I don't want to setup defaults in FAGL3KEH or specify profit center manually as short pay should go back to the same profit center that the invoice was generated in.
Any suggestions or pointers are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks much for your time
    Sumit

    Pankaj,
Thanks much for the reply. I have checked this configuration multiple times and everything is in order but still, SAP refuses to tag the profit center on the under payment account.
Have you ever come across this business requirement at any client and if yes, were you able to achieve it via splitting? To me, it seems, SAP is not equipped to handle it since this is not a straight forward splitting. SAP needs to first look at the invoice number at the time of cash application, go back to that invoice and look at the profit center assigned to the AR line after spitting and then, assign it to the short pay account.
    Thanks much for your time.
    Sumit
