    Hello Forum
I found the online documentation for OEPE.  However, there doesn't seem to be an offline or PDF equivalent.  Is there a PDF or offline download link for this product?  If so, where?

  • Developer 6i / Developer 2000 ?

I have a project with Oracle 8i with Developer 6i. I am not sure
if Developer 6i is same as Developer 2000. Any pointers will be
    helpful.

Developer 6i is the release after Developer 6 which came after
    Developer/2000 release 2.1
Developer 6i is Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports and Oracle Graphics.
These are distinct from the Designer product which allows you to
model an application and generate Oracle Forms and Reports.

  • Hot to run old developer/2000 .fmx files

    Hi all!
I have to run a legacy application written with Oracle developer/2000.
Is there a free of charge runtime enviroment that I can use to run it?
I have a 5 NUP Oracle Database Standard Edition One license. What I need to buy to run the legacy application?
    Thank you.
    D1rk

normally nothing is free .. I cannot answer this question. I'm not from Oracle :-)
by the way: Forms 6i is a newer forms runtime than your Developer 2000. You have to migrate the forms from Dev2000 to Forms 6i.
The Forms Builder does that automatically with nearly all the things that have to be migrated. Think about this

  • Developer 2000 forms to compile in 9i

    Hi.
I have an application developed in Developer 2000 , now want to convert it in Deverloper 9i. While compiling it give me many errors like report calling function has been changed. I am not able to find and migration utility in the installation . Please let me know if I have not fully installed developer 9i or there is some other way to migrate froms .
    Thanks.

In the newer Forms versions, it is only supported to call Reports using the RUN_REPORT_OBJECT built-in. You will need to either manually recode your app or use the Forms Migration Assistant (FMA) to perform the task for you. Although the FMA seems like the easier method, it does add a significant amount of additional code to your application including the addition of a PLL. If possible, I would recommend manually recoding. FMA was available with Forms 9.0.x and newer, however in 9.0.2 installing the first patchset or newer was required in order to use it. It was also available for 9.0.2 as a separate download for installation into the Oracle Home. Newer Forms version include the utility with the initial product installation.
    (FMA for 9.0.2 only) http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/forms/index.html
Refer to the product documentation (Builder Online Help) for more details about RUN_REPORT_OBJECT and FMA
For us to assist here, you will need to clarify which product versions you are using. Neither Developer 2000 or Developer 9i represent versions. These are just marketing names which represent numerous versions. Each version handles migration slightly different.
The product version can be found in the Builders under HELP > ABOUT or by opening the compiler's help option.
Access to most of the Forms documentation can be obtained from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/
Also, be aware that all versions of Developer 9i (6.0.x & 9.0.x) are considered obsolete. The latest version is 10.1.2.0.2 (10.1.2.3 with the latest patch set) - "Developer Suite 10g Release 2". If your "Developer 2000" version is 6.0.5.x you can move directly to 10.1.2.0.2, however you will need to change

  • Developer 6i Release 2 for NT - WebDB missing ??

    Hi,
I have downloaded and installed Developer 6i Release 2 for NT but when I tried to configure the virtual directories I found that the default WebDB Web server/Listener is missing in the downloaded version.
(But in the installation manual, they mentioned it is available with this download)
In the Windows-Control Panel-Services, there are only 2 services are installed (Forms Server and Reports Server), But earlier when I installed in my previous project, it included another service "Oracle WebDB Listener", which is missing in this downloaded version.
Please help me in clarifying my below queries :
1)For web-deployment of Developer Forms 6i, what are the Oracle products to be purchased ?
2)Whether Developer 6i Release 2 for NT includes Oracle Default Web-Server/Listener (i.e. WebDB Release 2.2)
(or) I have to purchase and install Oracle 9i Application Server which includes (Oracle9iAS Portal - WebDB 3.0)
3)Whether below combination is compatible with each other and supported by Oracle :
    a) Windows NT 4.0 (or) Windows 2000
    b) Oracle8 Enterprise Edition Release 8.0.5.0.0
    c) Developer 6i Release 2 for NT

  • Problems on connecting Developer/2000 with Oracle

    1. Can Developer/2000 for window95/NT release 2.0 connect with Personal Oracle8i for Windows 98 under Windows 98 environment?
    2. Can Developer/2000 for window95/NT release 2.0 connect with Personal Oracle7.3 for Windows 95 under Windows 98 environment?
    3. What is the default database name of Personal Oracle8i for Windows 98?

If you get an error message with a number, did you try looking for this number in the oracle errors book (online on OTN? just click search).
Developer/2000 is quite old, better get the newer versions from otn.oracle.com.

  • Ask for a way to learn Oracle and Developer 2000. HELP PLEASE!!

    Hi,
I want to learn Oracle database and developer 2000. So I need the softwares.I am going to download
    1. Oracle Forms Developer/Server Release 6i for Windows NT
    2. Oracle8i Personal Edition on NT
Before download them, I want to know if they can work together. I am in Australia, do you know where I can get the free softwares, or with lower price.
If you have another way for self-training, please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sue

They do work together, though the installation process is moderately complicated. You may want to check this web site: http://www.chow1.myweb.nl/
This site has some experiences and procedures that have worked in the past for this combination.
You should also check Amazon.com or your local tech bookstore for books on Developer.

  • How to read binary file in developer 2000

    Hi,
Is there any method through which i can read a binary file(pdf)
    in developer 2000
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
Basically you can do it by saving the data in a file in MATLAB and reading it directly from LabVIEW, or vice versa. In MATLAB , the command "save" allows you to save the data in binary format (*.mat) or ASCII format. You also have an option of saving it in ASCII format using a tab delimiter between data points.
There is a knowledge base which talks in detail about how to share data in between labview and matlab Import data from labview to Matlab and vice versa.
Hope this helps. If not, please feel free to ask more questions.
Good luck and have a great day!
