Hi EiEi,
On your home screen, sclide your trackpad to the top header and click it. Check Mobile Network checkbox.
Note: You need sufficient BlackBerry data service.
Hope it helps.
Good luck!

This means your device need to be connected with your carrier network. In other words, SIM card need to be inserted and device should be turned on and connected.

i tried downloading an app to my phone but it said my device radio is off??...i have no clue what that is and im  not sure if that has to do with the fact that i have internet shut off on my phone???....can somebody helpp?

It means that the "Wireless Signal" to the mobile network is not selected. Open the Tray and select Manage Connections and be sure that the option for Mobile Network is selected.

I no longer have a service provider for my Blackberry.  But I want to use it for listenting to Audio Books.  Can I still do this without internet service on the phone itself?
Initially it appeared as though I could, so long as I had it connected to my computer which was connected to the internet.  Initially, System Check told me that the AppWorld Browser plug-in was installed on the computer, and also that the device was connected to the computer.  It then locked up when trying to load the latest version of AppWorld on the Smartphone.  I've rebooted both since and now it tells me that I need the radio on to perform this task.  ANy ideas?

  • How to turn on radio device?

i have use curve 3G handset. i open BB's website through my computer net.and connect BB with computer. my problem is this.. there are blink 1 error.."turn on ur device radio" . then how to radio turn on?? this error is blink sometimes not every time....pls. give me solution...on my mail ID.

Having the radio turned on simply means that you're connected to your mobile network.  When your radio is turned on, you can see the name of your cell carrier on your homescreen at the top middle.
To turn on your radio, click Manage Connections on your homescreen and make sure Mobile Network is checked.
    I hope that helps you.

  • FM Radio Application for Windows 8

I am trying to develop a simple FM Radio Application for Windows 8 phones. I found one class but it says it will not work for devices targeting windows 8. Can some one please help.
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/microsoft.devices.radio.fmradio(v=vs.105).aspx

It's been a long time since I last answered an FM radio question so I might be forgetting some details but basically...
In Windows Phone 7 timeframe the FM radio hardware was part of the requirements but for Windows Phone 8 FM radio hardware was optional and, in fact, the FM Radio drivers were not available until build 8.0.10322.
I cannot recall if the restriction regarding FMRadio API for Windows Phone 8 targeted applications mentioned in the MSDN documentation, is enforced during submission to the store but I know it is possible to use the APIs in a Windows Phone 8 targeted project
during development (...requires: ID_CAP_MEDIALIB_AUDIO I believe.)

  • Getting a message saying that I'm not connected to radio when I try to download an app

    OK, for the past 4 hours I've been trying to download something, each time to be greeted with the same message, needless to say rage is building. I have seen many other threads discussing the same thing but an answer has never actually been given. The exact message I get is this;
    Device Radio Off
BlackBerry App World requires that your device radio is turned on to continue.
I can assure you, my radio is most certainly on.
An answer ASAP would be appreciated, there will be prizes.
    Thanks in advance

Have you gotten anywhere with your issue?  I've still got nothin.

    Ugghhhh this is soooo annoying!
Thank you for who ever can try and help with my Blackberry Curve...
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Best!

  • Apple phone/radio bluetooth disconnect turns on phone speaker (music)

I recently added an automobile radio that connects (streams music & phone call ops)  without any concerns. However, when I turn off the functioning paired radio device the music, whether itunes, pandora or independent radio stream for actual examples,  soon starts playing via the iphone speaker as I walk away from the vehicle. It happens every time and can become frustrating and embarrassing as I need to get past the security lockout in order to stop the music source (pause play) which is usually loud.
I have numerous bluetooth devices, radios and speakers that previously worked fine, unlike this instance, and I think they continue to do so... Which is why I expect the same.
    Any suggestions?

    See this veeeeeeeeeery long thread.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3404857
It's an issue with hundreds of phones.  Some claim it's software related, some hardware, some say it's a mixture of both.
Some people have had temporary success with quitting the Phone.app / restoring as a new phone / restoring from an iCloud backup / disabling Siri / toggling speakerphone on & off...
Unfortunately all of the above only been temporary, with the problem recurring again after a few calls, or a few days etc.
So far the only solution that seems permanent has been to replace the phone.  But even so, it's the luck of the draw to recieve a functional phone, and not another faulty one.
I'm completely annoyed as there is no Apple Store near me...... and Apple haven't even acknowledged the issue, despite the above thread being 34 pages long, as of writing.

  • N86 Where are radio stations saved? And playlists?

Hello to all. In FP1 devices, we had available the files of the radio stations list and of the playlists we create in music application. So, if we wanted to take backup of them, we could do so.
Where are these files in FP2 devices, and especially N86?

In FP1 devices radio stations are stored in c:drive. Its in .rb format. Also playlist isn't in music application. I dont know its exact location but i think you could just take a backup of memory to save those playlist of yours. Don't know what N86 offers?
Please thank me by giving 'KUDOS' star. It will help me to serve you better.
Currently using N82 and 5230. Next would be N?

  • HP cp2025dn printing problem

    hi there,
i hope there is some help out there, since i have absolutely no idea what else i could try to make my printer work via airport, which has until now worked perfectly well via direct usb connect.
via airport either way (ip or bonjour) print jobs will disappear from the printer queue, cause the printer to flash its fancy lights but never get printed or will force the printer into paused state.
i have my hp color laserjet cp2025 connected to a fresh airport express which is extending my wireless network provided by my elderly airport extreme. here is some data about their firmware and the network:
    firmware: 7.4.2 on both devices
    radio mode: 802.11.n (802.11b/g compatible)
    channel: 2
    security: wpa/wpa2 personal
additionally i will attach the rather lengthy printer log of my recently failed attempt, which hopefully gives some apple genius a clue of why the bugger resists printing.
    any help is being appreciated.
    sincerely
    peter

You may want to verify that your printer USB cable is of good condition; try swapping it with another one.
The problem is "Unable to write print data: Broken pipe" which implies that the USB connection was somewhat abruptly broken/disrupted while data was being sent.

  • Questions on wiping and Backup

I have a user who needs to wipe their BB.  I want them to use Desktop Manager to backup everything.
Will the it backup even photos they have on the unit?

Yes...BES changes everything...the timing of things becomes more critical so that you don't accidentally wipe out things in the Messages database, especially if the user has any BIS email accounts configured... Let me remember how I used to do it with BES...it is important that device radios (both carrier and WiFi) remain OFF between steps 1 and 7:
    Turn off all device radios
Backup (local to BB) BBM Contacts (not relevant if you restrict use of BBM via IT Policy)
Backup with Desktop Software -- full
Mass Storage Mode copy of Media Card and Device Memory
    WIPE
Restore from Desktop Software -- SELECTIVE...only perhaps the configuration-type databases, but for sure NOTHING that BES will populate (contacts, calendar, etc.). If the user has BIS email accounts, then include the Messages database. Depending on what the reason for this drastic action is, you may indeed want to not restore anything...just in case something that you restore is the cause of whatever the problem was.
Turn on device radios and reactivate (as necessary) on carrier network
Reactivate with BES -- wait until this is 100% complete before proceeding (use WiFi if you can...it will be much faster).
Validate that all things are OK -- BES could have had copies of even configuration items...if so, it will have overwritten what was restored in 6 above...but that should be OK as they should have been accurate as of the last time BES mirrored those databases from the BB
If relevant, restore the BBM contacts from the file created in step 2...restore it from the PC (as copied in step 4) if necessary.
It's tricky...you want to do the restore before you allow BES to reactivate, especially if there are BIS email messages that you want to repopulate to the BB. If you allow BES to reactivate first, and then restore the Messages Database, it will replace any BES emails that came in between the two actions. Hence, the importance of keeping the device radios off (so that BES cannot reach out and auto-reactivate before you are ready).
    Good luck!

  • How can I generate a real-time highchart from my database data?

I have looked several links; however, I couldn't find a working demo showing how to implement a highchart using data from a database.
Objective: I want to generate a real time highchart line graph getting data from my database. What I want is very similar to the
HighChart Demo which provides a real-time highchart with randomly generated values. It is also similar by X-axis and Y-axis, for I want my x-axis to be "Time" (I have a DateTime column in my database) and y-axis to be an integer (I have
a variable for that as well in my database).
Please I need help in sending the model data to my razor view.
Note that I am already using SignalR to display a realtime table. I also want to know if it can be used to automatically update the highchart as well.
Below is the code snippet of my script in the view. I have used the code provided in
HighChart Demo link for generating the highchart. Please tell me where should I apply the changes on my code.
