Df1010v2 digital picture frame

With the df1010v2 digital picture frame, I tag a photo and when I try to put it into an album, it says 'insuffient memory card'.
I have been using this card for the other photos and it worked fine, now no more photos will come from memory card to album. They do all download to memory card page.
Please help.

This is not a problem, just move your mouse to the lower right, or left corner of the photo/picture, and you will see a circle with a curved arrow in it, use this to rotate your photo.

You still have the option of using the slideshow feature in the Photos app. It's not in the lock screen anymore, but it is stll available there.

Macbook Pro connecting to Sync Pix digital picture frame? Help!!

I have a late 2008 UMBP. My mother and I bought a Sync Pix digital picture frame that we are giving my grandmother for Mother's Day. The picture frame says it is Mac and PC compatible, but when I plug in the picture frame using a USB port it does not show up on my desktop. It has shown up one time, but has since disappeared and can not get it back on my desktop. I have tried both USB ports on my computer, and both ports on my father's late 08 UMBP as well. I can see it in Disk Utility, but can not drag or drop photos. I just need to drag over some photos to it so I can ship it as fast as I can to get to her by Mother's Day. Any help would definitely be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

My sister is developing an iMovie that will be played during our mother's 90th birthday party. After the party, we'll want to put that iMovie on a digital picture frame that we haven't purchased yet. What things should we consider to select a digital picture frame that will be compatible with iMovies?

Need help organizing 1600+ photos for a digital picture frame.

I need to organize 1600+ photos semi-randomly on a mass storage device for use in a digital picture frame that will only allow organization by date and folder. I say semi-random because there are a few photos that I would like to keep next to each other as they are a sequence but i would like the rest randomized. The photos are currently in a single album in my iPhoto library. Is there an effective way of doing this?

create folders in the finder in whatever order you desire eg. a, b, c or 1, 2, 3, or whatever alphabetical name you desire.
Drag and drop images to relevant folders
then upload to picture frame SD card or whatever method of storage it uses.

Exporting to USB flash drive for use in digital picture frame

With the recent popularity of digital picture frames, has anyone else run into this problem......
I purchased digital picture frames to give as gifts this year, wanting to give them "pre-loaded" with photos. So i copied a bunch of pics from iphoto ( some i had edited, some not) onto a small 1GB flash drive. after ejecting the flash drive properly, i inserted it into the digital picture frame (kodak DPF800) and the slideshow starts as it should ...but then "freezes" midway through. repeatedly. and not always on the same picture.
After several calls to the kodak tech support line, i finally had someone tell me that the frame will only read raw jpeg files.
what does this mean? all the files in the flashdrive show as .jpeg.
am i doing something wrong?
any guidance would be appreciated.

This is often caused by a file permissions issue on the photo. Download BatchMod from

And apply it to the iPhoto Library Folder using the settings found here:

Digital Picture Frame- Some images are saying "Not Support"

Hello there, I recently purchased the Digital Picture Frame (DPF 10") for a gift. As I was setting it up by placing some photos on it with my USB drive. Some of the photos worked, while the others had a black screen that said "Not Support". I read some past forums on this issue, but it doesn't aid me. I was wondering if it is the size of the photo, the format of the photo, or even my laptop since its been holding these photos. Please and thank you.

Please put the USB stick to you laptop and check them to see which format they are ? Many picture frames only support one or two formats.

Hi - the new lightning connector on the iPhone 5 has an authentication chip so very few 3rd party manufacturers have come out with compatible devices - so I doubt that you will find a frame that works for both phones - however Apple has come out with 2 apapters - one is a cable and one is a direct 30 pin to lightning device - you would have to check out each frame to see if one of these might work - I looked at the Panasonic and it looks promising but I would check the return policy of anything that you buy in a case it doesn't work.

Difficulty displaying CS4 and CS5 modified pics on a digital picture frame

Any pic I mod with CS4 or CS5 no longer displays on my digital picture frame!
The originals display fine.
Modified ones are rejected as an unsupported format.
Any clues?

The mods can be as simple as resizing.
The files are always saved as JPG.
The problem only started within the last few months as "older" pics display fine.
It occurs on my desktop (vista) as well as my laptop (windows7)

How to put i-movie onto digital picture frame?

Hi, I have two questions for you.
(1) i m trying to put an i movie project into a digital picture frame.. is that even possible?? or do i need to convert the imovie file to something else??
Queston (2) .. if i finalized the footage with idvd... can that be saved and play in digital picture frame as well? if not, is there any way to convert the file so that it can be play on digital frame?

Digital photo frame usually takes avi files, Mpeg4... so if i convert the i movie file into one of those it should play without problems? .... i'll try that..but what kinda program is use for the converting process?

Transferring music in ITunes 10.1.2 to Digital Picture frame

I have music from as far back ITunes goes. I bought a VFM1530-11 which is a very large screen digital picture frame made by ViewSonic put a 4G CF Card and a 4D SDHC Card I put app the photos from I Photo onto the CF Disk and all of the Music & Bird Calls we bot on ITunes onto the SDHC. This stuff was installed with the disks on Pic Frame from my IMac through USB. I can disconnect the pic frame & can see all photos however the Music on SDHC can not be seen or heard. When I hook pic frame up again to this I-Mac the music shows up on SDHC& I can listen to it. I would have thought that Music & Bird Calls would have to be authorized to be downloaded but this never came up, Any help is appreciated and the 12 days of christmas have come & gone. & I'd like to get his Music & Photos to him before Fathers Day.

One for the iTunes forum I would guess. Or for the forum of the makers of the Frame device.

Digital Picture Frames again

Does anyone have a Digital Photo frame that works well with Mac?
My search revealed that the last time this was dealt with was about 6 months ago, and conclusion was none worked particularly well.
I'm referring to relatively seamless transferring of pictures from iPhoto to the frame, without the intermediary memory card, or using the memory card, but without having to delete hidden files and add tags.
Third party apps that enable this also welcome.

I'll answer my own question. I bought a Pan Digital 8 inch Picture frame and it seems to work well. Better than the Smartparts frame which caused me to ask the question. I took that one back.

Kodak digital picture frame doesn't use iTunes music

I've just bought a Kodak Easyshare multimedia picture frame and it requires MP3 compatible music tracks for slideshows. How do I get there from Panther iPhoto??

iPhoto will not export a slideshow but instead makes a Quicktime movie of it.
Finally, there's no such thing as "Panther iPhoto". Various versions of iPhoto will run on different OSes. To find out the version of iPhoto you have: iPhoto Menu -> About iPhoto.

Export pix from iPhoto 4.0.3 to a digital picture frame (Tiger OS)

Can't succeed in downloading pix using a card reader. Desired pix moved to an album, then export selected. In dialog box, file export and album name are selected, jpg extension selected, pixel size changed and use extension is selected. The jpg file type and pixel size items conform to frame mfgr specs. The system proceeds to do something as the 100+ photos are supposedly transferred. After proper disconnection from the Mac, the Xd card is placed in the frame but no pix show up. In trying different sizes and extensions, the system prompts that these pictures already exist, as if the pictures are loaded into the card. I have tried creating a desktop file and dragging the album from iPhoto to the desktop with no success ( a subsequent move from the desktop to the card reader icon was planned). How can I be sure that the pix are on the card? How does the system know I want the pix to go on the card since it was never selected? Vince V

Any time you export files from iPhoto (or save files in a Save or Save As dialog box in another application) you have to designate a location for the exported (or saved) files. If you did not designate the Xd card as your location, then the system does not know you want the exports saved there. Where did your exports go? Can you do a Finder Search for them?

Did you remember to select all of the pix in the album before selecting export? It has been a very long time since I've used version 4, but in iPhoto 6 when you click the Export button in the dialog box you described it opens to a standard Mac Save As dialog box. That second box is where you specify the location for the exported files. Are you getting that dialog?

I would recommend a 2-part move, just as you describe here. What did happen when you tried to drag the photos to the desktop folder?
