I'm doing the tutorial: <b>How To Use the BI Java SDK in a Web Dynpro Application</b> and I have a big question (probably dummy), at the moment I can't get the connection as I always get a null object, so the question is:
The privileges of the connection are:
A- user's privileges use at the configuration of the SDK_XMLA at Visual Administrator
B - privileges of the user that is running the app.
I think that the right answer is A.

Have you tried visiting the App Store and tapping on the Purchased icon? If the iWork components appear there with a "cloud-with-a-down-arrow" icon, means you have to download them (for free) onto your iGadget.

How did I get this wrong and not so obvious?

IBM System x3100M5 - ESXi5.5
Nothing spectacular about the install. Configured 1Tb RAID5 set and installed ESXi5,5 from CD.
Quite likely that I had a USB drive, which I keep a lot of various helpful files/Doco's, attached to somewhere on the server when I installed ESXi
Have relocated the server to customer site when completed and all booted OK.
A few weeks later relocated server to newly built 'server' room all booted OK.
On the weekend there was a power failure and server refused to boot.
'Failed to boot ESXi5.5' error then would start a version of ESXi5.5 but everything blank (IP Addy set to 0.0.0.0)
Would reconfigure network but could not connect via vSphere and rebooting did exactly same thing. (IP 0.0.0.0 etc)
Boot order was as follows:
ESXi5,5 (PciRoot (0x0) /Pci(0x1D.0x0) /USB(0x0,0x0) /USB (0x4,0x0)
HDD0
HDD1
CDROM
I assumed that the server, when I installed it, somehow hooked to the USB drive that I carry around, however, when I tried it in every port and rebooting, it wouldn't work.
I removed everything back to HDD0 and this was the versions which was setting everything back to IP address of 0.0.0.0 and wouldn't allow me to reconfigure and save.
In the end I tried an upgrade to HDD0 but no change. Started a fresh install on HDD0, preserving datastore, but chickened out when presented with a final warning that the 'existing partitions will be repartitioned, and didn't want to lose the hosts I had on the datastore so installed it onto a second USB drive. Configured UEFI to point to correct boot efi and server started. Configured network and booted up OK. Attached vmx files to inventory and servers booted OK. Everything is back online.
So my questions are:
What did I do wrong in the first place that allowed it to hook to the USB drive? Just by having it attached to the server?
How likely is it that I also plugged the USB drive, every time I moved the server, in exactly the same port I took it out from - I would suggest unlikely and, to be honest, I don't think I had the drive attached every time I powered on the server?
Why was there a version on HDD0 which wouldn't allow me to configure it or attach to it via vSphere?
If I install a new install of the ESXi5.5 onto HDD0, when it warns that it wants to repartition, will I lose the existing datastore even when I opt for the preserve option? I don't want to continue running off this USB drive in preference.
More of a discussion to see if others have experienced something similar and to try and see what I did wrong so I don't repeat it.

8800 GTX - did I get the wrong PSU?

In it, I noticed bosskiller recommends a PSU with a 30A on +12V. I got the Antec Neo HE 550. The sticker on the Antec, however, is less at: +3.3V 24A, +5V 20A, +12V1 18A, +12V2 18A, +12V3 18A
This is what I asked about the connectors on the VGA card:
Each of the PCI-E power connectors on the card is connected to the PSU with it's own connector/cord. Help appreciated
edit: I guess since I have 2 power connectors with it's own connection to the PSU, does that mean it's on 2 rails? for a total 36A?

Be careful and read page 5 of the manual and make sure you are pluging each PCIe lead into a seperate rail of the PSU or you may only get 18amps as opposed to 36amps. Manual states one lead in the one of the first two six pin connectors on the PSU and the other lead into one of the next three six pin connectors. That will insure you are using two seperate rails and have 36 amps available to the two PCIe cables.

It was easy to set up, easy to use, got done watching the movie. Transferred from HDMI to TV and as my question above notes. I am on TV, my cable information (show/channel/etc) show OM the banner on the bottom of the screen, I can view the channell guide, but, my screen is white, no picture no sound? Other than that I got nothin

HT6150 Did the recent Mavericks update and now I am getting the screen "Setting Up Your Mac" It has been this way for an hour...and nothing is going on.

AS soon as I log in I get this screen "Setting Up Your Mac..."
It has been on the computer for quite a while and I can not get back to my desktop.

Here was the answer I found that worked:
Command-Shift-Option-Esc (hold for three seconds) for Force Quit the front-most application (Mac OS X v10.5 or later)
That got to me a new page where I had to enter my security key chain ID, but then wouldn't go any further. So i have rebooted - and lo and behold it opened up OK. It has asked me for a security question, but it now seems to be working OK!! Thanks - hope you get your problem sorted also. I should have copied the name and did not...sorrry.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

Where did you get this iPad from? Sounds like it's running a beta version of iOS (presently iOS 8). Connect it to iTunes on a computer and restore it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.

If you set the phone to erase on 10 failed passcodes - then just keep typing and it will wipe itself.
Otherwise I believe you can set it to recovery mode and restore etc.. via iTunes... There is no easy way as the passcode is designed to protect the phone exactly against what you are trying to do now...

Upgrade Tiger to Snow Leopard - did I get wrong software?

Was in Apple store today, and told the sales person I wanted to upgrade my TIGER iMac to SNow leopard. I had thought I needed the Box version which comes with Works, etc. and I didn't want to spend for all of that since I only wanted to go to Leopard.
He asked me which Processor I had, and I told him the Intel Duo. He said with that processor, I can buy the stand alone Snow Leopard for $29 & that would work.
I actually questioned him pultiple times and he was quite adamant that I could use this to put Snow Leopard on my machine. But from what I am now reading (NOT on the outside of the box Snow Leopard comes in), this only can upgrade Leopard to Snow Leopard.
Did he give me wrong info? Can I use this disk to install Snow Leopard on my white iMac machine?

That is correct, but you should do the following before upgrading:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

When I use a simple form, I get this error message "Form communication is configured with an email address of..." and the person's email address did not get sent a message

If you are seeing an Apple ID that is not yours, then you have purchased content on your iPad that is tied to that Apple ID. You would need to know that password or remove the content that is associated with that Apple ID.

Did I buy the wrong HDTV?

Hello,
Did I buy the wrong HTDV for my Mac mini media center?
My 2009 Mac mini is connected to a Panasonic 32" 720p HDTV via HDMI.
(I'm using a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter)
Several issues have arisen:
1) black bars at the top and bottom of the screen when I watch Netflix "watch instantly" movies on it.
2) The menubar of my Mac computer screen is not visible (image chopped off on all four sides).
3) The Mac mini cannot connect to the Internet via Airport when it's attached to the HDTV! (ethernet connection is A-OK)
I've tried playing around with the settings for both the Mac Mini (which recognizes the Panasonic) and the various menu options on the TV but no success.
Maybe I should have broke down and bought a 1080p instead?
Any help would be much-o appreciated!

I guess I am just concerned as there seems to be so many networks (routers) around here, there is always 7 or 8 connections available on the list of avail networks and I am just concerned about that one machine connecting to the wrong router when it is booted up ....
when I was using the wrt54g, and it always showed "Excellent" and the others always showed poor to very poor (1 or 2 bars) ,,,,,,,
but now with the new router always showing just one or two bars as well on that one machine .... I worry that it may connect to the wrong thing sometime. This wouldn't be such a worry for me IF there were simply an option to set "Connect to this network ONLY" on the nic,
but there isn't, just a "Connect to preffered network IF in range" ..........
Not that it matters here is the whole reason I have these machines and routers on a network is because I am severely disabled with M.S. and getting up and down steps to all my familys machines isn't so easy, and that one machine about 75 feet from me is impossible. So I have them all networked thru the router, and I use a remote control program (called Radmin) to access the various machines from this one laptop.
I am starting to wonder if the fact that nothing will work when this router is on 20mhz bandwith at all, is indicative of some sort of problem with the router itself? That is funny as the wrt54g was 20mhz only I beleive, and it worked perfectly!

HT3500 I have a MacBook Pro and an HP ENVY 110 SERIES All-In-One . I can't seem to get a network set up or either one to locate or connect to the other one.

I've spent hours, actually probably days, trying to do this but it's not working. I've had the ENVY since Nov
and have not been able to print - much less do anything else with it.
My internet is CLEAR wireless. I use the little USB 4G Mobil Modem. This new HP ENVY is also wireless.
I know I can't be online and print at the same time unless I get a router.
I also know that I can go offline and change the network pref to "airport" so I can print. Meaning I'll have to change
back and forth but for my uses, that's ok..at least for right now.
What I can't seem to get set-up correctly is my own local network.
I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be done using "Airport".
Obviously, I'm doing something wrong in establishing my network.
The printer is listed on my printer preferences and shown as "offline" "default". I assume that means the ENVY
is my default printer. Great! At least my Pro knows it's suppose to connect to the ENVY once everything's set-up correctly.
Now, if someone could just tell me exactly, step-by-step what to do to get that done....

Well... no help was found here.. so I abandoned the wireless- ness of my printer. I bought a
small 10 port hub because only 2 USB ports really isn't enough with wireless mouse, wireless internet
and any kind of printer. I also bought a long USB cable. I now print--wired since this can be done
as an alternative to wireless with this printer. Because I don't want a cable "hanging around"
when the printer is not in use, I simple disconnect it and reconnect when I want to print.
It's a temporary solution others may find helpful as well. Apparently there's been a lot of
confusion and problems getting this printer set up wirelessly with our MacBooks.
Shame on HP for not helping us out!

I have a Item UIDRef but facing a problem for getting data as set in "text on path option" dailog box for each "text on path" item.
What I did:
- Getting the pointer "IMainItemTOPData" using item UIDRef as
InterfacePtr<IMainItemTOPData> mainItemTOPData(shapesUIDRef, UseDefaultIID());
- This interface has the method GetTOPOptionData () which return ITOPOptionsData pointer
- But SDK don't have "ITOPOptionsData" class implementation.
Second Approch:
- Used "ITextOnPathSelectionSuite" and getting the correct result for Desktop plugin.But I want the correct result in server plugin also.
Anyone who has an idea how to get this using UIDRef, please let me know.
