Difference B/W creation of  STO via ME21N  and  ME27

Dear all,
The requirement is to create a STO via transaction ME21N.
I am doing so using BDC Recording. But I believe that BDCs can not be used for creation of Application Documnets using Enjoy transactions.
For the same reason I tried to create the STO via ME27 but there wre certain fields
which I require to populate are not available in this transaction.
Can u please let me know what is the difference between the above transactions ?
Kindly help.

Hi karthick,
This 'F' has no meaning like 'N'.
But i think.. these are stands to denote application area.
F- for pruchase order
A- for RFQ
etc....
ME91F - Purchase Orders: Urging/Reminders
ME91A - Urge Submission of Quotations
ME91 - Purchasing Docs.: Urging/Reminding
ME91E - Sch. Agmt. Schedules: Urging/Remind.
See these all are for different purpose.

  • Inbound delivery creation in STO via EDI/Idoc

    Hello experts,
    My requirement is like this:-
Stock transfer order is created for supplying plant 2000 & receiving plant 2010.
When the supplying plant 2000 posts an outbound delivery & PGI, at same time an Inbound delivery should be created in receiving plant 2010.
I know theoretically that this is achieved by making confirmation settings & output types. But don't know exactly how to configure it.
Can you please mention the process?
I have referred the scn threads:
Outbound Delivery to Inbound delivery by using IDOC
how to configure the message control for DESADV
    SAP note 111903
Receiving Vendor Confirmations via EDI - Purchasing (MM-PUR) - SAP Library
But there is lack of clarity from my side.

You do not need to use EDI messages to get an inbound delivery created when a PGI is done on the outbound delivery.
Search for the config on the SPED output type. This SPED output message can be triggered during the PGI which results in the creation of an inbound delivery in the receiving plant.
The receiving plant will have to maintain the confirmation control key 0004 at item level in the purchasing document.

  • EXIT to change / add line items during STO PO creation in T.Code ME21N

    Hi
Can somebody suggest me a EXIT or a BADI  to change / add line items during STO PO creation in T.Code ME21N.
    The requirement is as below.
When the user enters a material no ( which has a BOM created in CS01), and presses enter or saves the PO, i need to get the sub components of the BOM and populate them as the next line items.
This is because the user needs to create the delivery with reference to the PO. In the delivery, the BOM material needs to be populated with all the sub components of the BOM.
I tried to do it using EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 in which i am able to change / add the line items in the XEKPO and YEKPO internal tables. The entries are available in the internal table when the EXIT is executed.
But when the PO is posted internally, the item is not changed/added.
    Thanks in advance.
    Guna.

    Hi,
    Try BADI "ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST".

  • Inspection lot creation during STO return

    Hello Gurus,
is there a trick to trigger inspection lot creation during STO return ?
    Scenario is the following:
    1 - Creation of STO
2 - Supplying plant ships materials... stock in transit
3 - Receiving plant receives materials
4 - Materials with defects -> Receiving plant add new line with return tick on the same material
5 - GI from Receiving plant... stock in transit
6 - Supplying plant receives materials -> Inspection lot has to be created
I used inspection type 08 on Receiving plant w/o success.
    Many thanks.
    Stéphane

No inspection lot is created when we return Materials to Vendor (Plant A) even if we maintain Inspection type 02.
Before STO customizing, Plant B creates a subcontracting purchase order. Next Materials are sending to Vendor (Plant A) and put in "Stock provided to vendor" (Transaction ME2O).
Vendor (Plant B) creates a Repair request (Sales document / Transaction VA01). Next run VRRE to reveice Materials to repair. Inspection lot is automatically created. The usage decision triggers the creation of Service order to manage all the repairing flow. Last step is to deliver Materials to Plant A and create Repair invoice.
Repair request supports all repairing flow (inspection lot, service oder...), especialy status (out of warranty or not).
After STO customizing, I expected the following result:
1° - Return STO to Vendor (Plant A) / ME21N with return tick
    2° - Plant B ships Materials / MIGO wih 101 (SAP converts in 161)
    3° - Stock in Transit
    4° - Materials receive to Vendor (Plant B) / VL10B
    5° - Creation Inspection lot
6° - UD triggered Service order creation
7° - ...Repairing flow with Service order...
    8° - Materials ship to Plant B
    9° - Repair invoice
    10° - Stock in Transit
    11° - Plant B receives Materials
As I said, there are 2 blocking points:
    - Inspection lot not created when Vendor receives Materials
    - Service order not created automatically (because no Repair request to support inspection lot, service order...)
Thanks a lot for your help.
Tell me if you have any questions.

  • Difference in PO creation in Classic v/s Extended Classic

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me in details what is the difference in PO creation in Classic v/s extended classic scenario technically e.g. BAPI,FM etc?
What are the main settings which determine whether PO needs to be created in SRM(local PO) or backend ECC system?

Are you talking about IMG > SAP SRM > SRM Server > Sourcing > Define Sourcing for Product Categories?
    performance assistance help text below?****
    1.     Sourcing is never carried out
This is the default setting at delivery.
SAP Enterprise Buyer does not transfer any items to the purchaser's sourcing application.
    2.     Sourcing is always carried out
SAP Enterprise Buyer transfers each item to the purchaser's sourcing application.
    3.     Sourcing is carried out for items without a source of supply
SAP Enterprise Buyer transfers all requirements that have multiple sources of supply, of which none are assigned, to the purchaser's sourcing application. Once you have selected a source of supply in the shopping cart, the item does not go to the sourcing application and a PO is created.
    4.     Sourcing via automatic bid invitation for items without a source of supply
SAP Enterprise Buyer creates a bid invitation for all requirements that do not have a source of supply.
    5.     Automatic requirement grouping; sourcing for items without assigned source of supply
If a source of supply is assigned to a requirement, the report Automatic Grouping of Requirements for POs and Bid Invitations automatically attempts to create a PO from several requirements. If it is unable to do this, the requirement is displayed so that you can assign it manually in the sourcing application. Once you have assigned a source of supply, you can submit the requirement to the report.
    6.     Automatic requirement grouping; sourcing is never carried out
If a source of supply is assigned to a requirement, the report Automatic Grouping of Requirements for POs and Bid Invitations automatically attempts to create a PO from several requirements. If it unable to do this, the system creates an incomplete PO for the requirement.
    7.     Automatic grouping and creation of a bid invitation in the case of items without assigned source of supply
If a source of supply is not assigned, the report Automatic Grouping of Requirements for POs and Bid Invitations automatically attempts to create a bid invitation from several requirement items. If is unable to do so, this is recorded in the error log of the report.

  • STO Via SD or STO via MM

    Hi Gurus,
I need to know the pros & cons of Stock trans. order via SD process & STO via MM.
Client need to know the exact diff & which business process is more advantageous.
    Thanks
    Jai

1)If you are working with the stock transfer procedure with LE outbound delivery (SD route), this has the advantage that the shipping activities can be processed with the R/3 System (picking, packing, printing the delivery note, and so on).
2)This has advantage of control function since dispatch department can control the material shipping out of the company.
Material should have sales view and this material should be maintained in both the plants
Thus the STO via shipping is studied and documented in very simple language
Difference between STO of MM and SD route is explained and same can be considered while configuring STO for client
    Hope this helps

    A/c Assignment Category,
    Material,
    Company code and
    Vendor
entered by the user(during his/her PO creation activity)
The identified EXITS as of now are EXIT_SAPLEBND_002 (But the package is not matching our PO tcodes : me21n and me22n)

Whats the difference between sending messages via socket and MQs?

    Soph wrote:
Whats the difference between sending messages via socket and MQs?With JMS (and the like) your application uses a socket to connect to a central server called a "*Message Broker*". Over this connection it can send or receive messages.
A Message Broker is somewhat analogous to a database server. Multiple clients connect to it to exchange messages. As with a database a client first establishes a connection, then requests specific facilities like subscriptions.
It creates a strong decoupling between sender and receiver and handles stuff like allowing multiple receivers for the same message, queuing of messages for applications not currently running and so on.
(And don't worry, you can get perfectly good message brokers for free such as openMQ and activeMQ.)

  • Differences between AKTH and ME21-ME21N and between AKTV and ME22-ME22N??

    Hi Gurus
Does anybody know the difference between AKTH and ME21-ME21N and between AKTV and ME22-ME22N??

if you create a PO using ME21/ME21n following field selection groups are called (in Standard)
    I_AUSWAHL0                                             ME21N
    I_AUSWAHL1                                             AKTH   <<<<<< means create
    I_AUSWAHL2                                             NBF
as soon as you add any field (e.g.Vendor) the logic is changed and following groups are called:
    I_AUSWAHL0                                             ME21N
    I_AUSWAHL1                                             AKTV      <<<<<< means change
    I_AUSWAHL2                                             NBF
(when you fill the Item data, additional field selection keys are called as well)

  • Steps to create STO using ME21N transaction

    Hi,
Can anyone give me the steps to follow to create STO using ME21N transaction. When i try to create it, i am getting the error message : Not possible to determine shipping data for material 3863...
    Please guide me...
    Thanks in Advance,
    Phani Kumar. S

I got the same error it was because in customizing you specify plant master data that is linked to a customer master record.  You need to make sure the customer master data is set up from a sales perspective.  E.g. customer must be extended to appropriate sales org. and division.  Same with the material master but the customer master was my problem.  This is configuration and you will have to move it through the transport queue so if you have a problem in your production system it will require a transport.

  • Accessing catalogs via ME51N and ME21N

    Hi
We are using Ecc6.0 and we want to access catalogs via ME51N and ME21N. We have set up customizing via Materials Management-Purchasing-Environment Data-Web Services: ID and Description, however, we do not see a catalog button on the screens of those transactions. Is any additional customizing needed for this? Where should this button appear?
We did similar set up for plant maintenance and the catalog button does show on IW32.
    Regards,
    Ed

In transaction OLME -> Environment Data ->
Web Services : ID and Description -> double click on the web service id
(e.g.: CVS1_Applied ) and set/checkin the default indicator field. Then
    save the data.
With this change in customizing you should be able to see the 'catalog'
    button in ME51N.

  • Block the creation of vendors via the "extend vendor" function

Is it possible to block the creation of vendors via the "extend vendor" function?  Currently, a number of vendors have been created in this way and are 'shared' across different markets.  This has created a control risk on master data, so I am investigating if it is possible to restrict the process.
    Please suggest
    Thanks
    Mani

    Hi:
Initially your requirement was just to detain user from creating vendor using reference vendor as given in XK01 under reference (Vendor number and co code & Purchasing organization). Through SHD0 you were able to suppress these three fields ( if i am right? correct me here). If its Ok then system has stopped you from creating vendor using reference of another already created vendor. As far main vendor number and co code and purchasing org fields are concerned that appears on the top of XK01 please note that Vendor number field is only used when you use external number range for this vendor account group ( check number range assigned to the vendor account group in OBAS and then check it in XKN1 if is set as external or internal number range). If you have activated internal number range then nothing needs to be given in Vendor number field and system will generate vendor number internally and this can be suppressed otherwise if you are using external number range the system will create vendor as given by you in Vendor in main screen of XK01. Hence it depends on the process you are using in your company for vendor master data creation.

  • FIFO break during delivery creation against STO

    Hi,
I am running a batch job which is responsible for delivery creation against STO.
    There are 3 STOs I have in system - STO1 from receiving plant - RP1 & STO2 & STO3 from receiving plant RP2.
In all 3 STO, I have same issuing plant(IP1).
I expect, when the delivery creation batch job gets triggered, it should create delivery against STO1, later to STO2 & STO3.
Important parameters as per configuration is set to as below -
    Logistics execution -> Shipping -> Worklists -
The batch job has shipping due list with
option "1 Ship-to party and source document" and package type as 1 "All items for  document type and ship to party"
Any body has any clue, how we can address this?
    Regards,
    Dipak

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.
Below is my MD04 screen -
The situation is, once GR is done in above plant, stock gets reflected in this issueing plant.
Next activity is delivery creation batch job triggers.
System should create delivery for the STO PO for receiving plant SP1.
Rather than that system creates outbound delivery for receiving plant SP2 & SP3.
Which I feel is FIFO break.
My shipping due list has below parameter -
    Delivery creation profile -
So any idea what causes this FIFO break.
Also not sure what is this "planned delivery creation dates" you referred earlier.
    Regards,
    Dipak

  • STO (via EDI) extend delivery

    Dear, colleagues
Our customer has requested to setup Intercompany Stock transfer Orders to supply sales stores form DC. Business scenario is:
    - Store creates PO for goods
    - DC creates Delivery documents based on PO (vl10b)
    - Goods are delivered on Pallets, each store takes care about them. There are no PAL in PO doc, DC add then only in at the moment of delivering (in delivery doc).
    - Goods issue/ receipt
    - Intercompany billing
    - Invoice verification
The problem I faced is what to do with PAL in IV? In fact, I have to process them as normal goods. It seems to IV has to be created on Goods receipt base, unfortunately SAP threats PAL as extra costs, not as goods
Does anybody has faced with such scenario?
    Many thanks
    Valters
To make live interesting, ICB stuff should be done via EDI

You do not need to use EDI messages to get an inbound delivery created when a PGI is done on the outbound delivery.
Search for the config on the SPED output type. This SPED output message can be triggered during the PGI which results in the creation of an inbound delivery in the receiving plant.
The receiving plant will have to maintain the confirmation control key 0004 at item level in the purchasing document.
