Difference between iPad and iPhone?

I just got my first iPad. I thought that it would almost be the same like the iPhone. On the iPhone I have an "all inboxes" option, does that exist on the iPad? I can't find it anywhere...

The two devices are on different versions of the iOS (3.2 vs. 4.0). iOS 4 for the iPad has been promised for "Fall" - then it'll also get the unified inbox.

Yet recently the new idevice was launched, However, prior to the launch of the ipad, the information that i had (which requires your updates) that iphone apps can too run on ipad too. As the ipad app store was launched later than the hardware.
So, my question is, if i am planning to buy the ipad (which has been launched in india yesterday), will my iphone apps would run on the ipad, especially the games ?

Almost everything that runs on the iPhone will run on the iPad. But in a small window that matches the number of pixels of a 3GS iPhone. You can double the pixels to get it to fit the screen, but some people don't like the pixelaton this causes.
The only things that won't run are things like telephony or photo apps that require use of hardware not present on the current iPad.

In order to use your Apple ID to create an iCloud account, the primary email address associated with the ID must first be verified. To do this, Apple will send a verification email to your account and you must respond to the email by clicking the Verify Now link. Make sure you are check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

Make sure that your devices are using iOS 8 or later by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
Check your settings:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
Go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps and turn on Handoff.
Go to Settings > Phone and turn off Wi-Fi Calling.

ICloud not pushing apps between iPad and iPhone what am I doing wrong

I have a new iPad2 and a new iPhone4. I put iOS5 on both of them. My understanding of this was when you purchased an app on one device it would push to your other devices. I did this and the apps do not push to my other device. I use the same Apple ID for both if that matters. I set up iCloud on both devices, turned everything "on" and created an @me account. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance for any help...feeling like an iDiot

I believe you are misunderstanding. You don't sync apps between iPad and iPhone, and iCloud has nothing to do with any of this. There is a setting in Settings -> Store where you can set each device to automatically download NEW apps, meaning that when you buy a new app on one device, the other automatically downloads it. However, this is for new downloads only.
For your existing apps, you can simply connect each device to your computer and move the desired apps to it in iTunes. Or you can go to the App Store and re-download those apps.

Pages not updating iCloud between iPad and IPhone

Can somebody please help?
My Pages app won't stream the current documents to my iPhone using iCloud .
I've tried everything I could possibly do. I've deleted the Pages app off my iPhone and started again. It just won't update the current documents that reflect on my iPad.
It just has the arrows pointing upwards on the top right hand corner of quite a few documents. This is suggesting that there is no Internet connection when there is. I've tried it over WiFi and on 2 separate Bluetooth pairings with 2 iPhones. Each time it is connected with the Internet but the arrows still suggest otherwise.
I have turned every possible iCloud on in every area. Turned them off then on, reset my phone from scratch doing a clean install not using a previous back up. Still didn't work... Then going back and resetting using a previous back up... Still didn't work :(
I have a 6 month old Mac Mini, the latest iPhone 5 and one month old iPad 4 with the current software updates.....

Ok, I've read all the pundits saying that the iPad's success depends on whether people think this or that, blah blah blah...
I want one, but I have things that I do not understand about the iPad and Apple hasn't explained them to me in marketing so far. Perhaps you can all help?
The simple question that I have... "What are the differences in the iPad and iPhone?"
Aside from the obvious, like size and the lack of a PHONE.
I'm one of the people who WANTS the iPad to be a giant iPhone.
I didn't think that I needed a camera in it, then I realize that will cripple many apps.
I do not understand how the apps work on the iPad. It seems like they are double sized and pixellated UNLESS the developer offers an iPad optimized version. I don't know if this is a separate purchase, or if the developers who update for iPad will have the software detect what the app is running on and just adjust accordingly.
For that matter, I don't know if I sync the iPad to iTunes and it automatically installs the apps and songs that I already have on my iPhone, or do I start from scratch purchasing apps and adding music?
The GPS situation is confusing to me. Is it the same GPS as my iPhone, or is it somehow less effective? Will the 3G version have better GPS than the wi-fi version?
I also have read a lot of speculation that Apple is purposely leaving out functionality (camera) to sucker us into upgrading in a short time. That would upset me. I understand that technology advances, but to deliberately leave out important hardware just for that reason is horrible marketing. And since the iPhone has some of these features, it sure looks odd that they aren't on the iPad.
In closing, I want an iPad (I think) but I am waiting for the 3g because I am under the (perhaps false) impression that the GPS may be better on it, and I like the idea of being able to get 3g on the fly when needed.
Any help in clarifying the differences in the iPad and the iPhone and how the user experience works would be greatly appreciated.

I think you have got most of it... more than most people. When I sync'ed my ipad for the first time on Saturday, it actually brought in everything that was on my iphone including contact list, music, movies, audiobooks, applications, etc.
Thanks, that was one question I did not know the answer to before I came here. And that is good news. I have 11 pages of active apps and probably another 11 pages of apps that are only on my iTunes right now. I wouldn't repurchase them ALL, but I would have had a lot of double purchases.
Also very nice to import all the contacts and such.
I also don't care about the camera... I already have the iphone plus many more cameras... don't need the ipad to have a camera.. also don't need the ipad to be a phone.
I didn't think that I needed the iPad to have a camera, but I am afraid it loses some functionality and cripples a lot of apps. Augmented reality is out. Also, a camera for quick pics when texting is handy. How else am I supposed to send my wife a topless photo from work?
Seriously, I use http://www.grocerygadgets.com/ Grocery app all the time. One nice thing about it is that you can snap a pic of the eggs (or whatever) that you buy and add it to your grocery list. I'm constantly at the store taking a quick pic of some product and adding it to the list so that the next time I go (or my wife goes) to the store, I'll remember which size/brand/flavor to get. The iPad without a camera cripples this app as well. There are a LOT of apps in the store that use the camera for SOME part of their function.
I believe that the iPad WILL have a camera in the future. We've already seen disassembly shots that show the space for it that is just like in the MacBooks. I wish this version had the camera built in, I'd pay more for it.
Regarding the differences between the 3g and gps.. don't know, but I think you are right about your guesses.
I wasn't going to buy the 3g at all until I started to read things that led me to believe the wi-fi version wasn't going to do GPS except in a rudimentary IP-based way.
When the iphone apps are installed on the ipad, the size is the size of an iphone and then you click 2X and they double but the pixels break up... I have read that there will be many ipad apps that will take advantage of the larger screen... so you don't lose the function of the iphone app.. it just isn't the size of the screen. Also, I didn't have to pay twice.. everything I owned came over during the sync.. if I buy an "ipad verson" later.. will probably have to pay again.

I suspect that most developers will simply port a version for the bigger screen (especially games) that won't cost anything more, but will take advantage of the larger screen. I'd assume the only ones that will charge more (hopefully) are those that change the experience by using that larger screen space for new features or gameplay changes.
I love my ipad, but would have a tough time telling anyone that I have to have one or that my life will greatly benefit from it. I am a heavy ipod user mostly listening to podcasts and books.. several hours per day... so to me this is just a bigger ipod.
Yeah, I suspect you've hit the nail on the head. For those coming from iPod Touches, the iPad is great. If you are coming from the iPhone 3gs there may be some unexpected gotcha's in there. I see reviews all the time from people with Touches that are upset about an app not supporting them fully.

There are no iTunes libraries on the iPad or iPhone. You have iTunes content on the devices but not libraries. The content is stored in the respective apps as you well know. AFAIK there is no way to share the content from one device to the other using any iOS feature in the current sysetm.

You don't need a computer (other than to set this hard drive and and transfer the content), but it is one more device that you have to lug around with you.

I have my wife's hand me down 1st generation Ipad with 4G and a 4Gs iphone but my calanders do not sync between the phone and the ipad.
My PC has icloud installed and turned on and my ipad and iphone have the cloud turned on.

If you mean photo stream, go to Settings>iCloud on both devices and sign into iCloud account with the same Apple ID, then turn photo stream to On. After that, new photos added to the camera roll will be uploaded to photo stream when the camera app is closed, it is connected to wifi and has at least 20% battery life remaining. They will appear on your other device in the my photo stream album.

Also check Any Exchange accounts that you might be using - including any paid Google apps accounts. Look in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars to be notes synching is off for those accounts.
