Difference between the various tech adapters in soa suite 11g
Hi All,
Could someone help me on the below questions.
1.Difference between Oracle Aq adapter and JMS adapter
2.Difference between AQ queue and JMS queue
3.Difference between JMS queue and JMS Topic
4.Difference between mediator and osb
5.Difference between Oracle Apps adapter and DB adapter
I havent find much difference between them . Any links to know about these or replies which provide the answer will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Thanks and Regards

Oracle Apps Adapter can be used for many other products other than E-Business Suite (JD Edwards E1, OTM, and others). The apps adapter was mainly used in ERP systems and was strong when you needed have added functionality other than just polling a db for a status / calling a stored procedure... It could connect out to other business services, xml gateways and so-on.
From a technical aspect / development perspective I always thought of that the Oracle Apps Adapter simplifies the development but, may is not flexible. The App Adapter's strength is the services that are difficult to integrate with (business services, xml gateway). If you need to hook in to these types of services, use the APPS adapter. (Again like it is named the "Apps Adapter" its for interacting w/ other applications to enable real-time processing / functionality.
That being said the dbAdapter can be very powerful but, like it is named is database focused (to poll some table to know when to kick off other logic and enable real-time functionality through database interaction.
Looking at the Oracle 12C Roadmap I had heard that there is more planned for the Oracle Apps Adapter moving forward, especially as Anuj said in the "Financial Apps" side of the isle at Oracle. Who knows what is real and what isn't though =]
Hope this helps!

Difference between the Various FX5900's
Hey i own a MSI FX5900 TD128 and i was surfing the MSI site and came across like 2 more
FX5900 XT-VTD128
FX5900-VTD128
The site is : -
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/vga/vga/pro_vga_list.php?kind=2&CHIP=48&NAME=GeForce%20FX
Could someone pls tell me the difference between all of em since they all r 128MB's cards!!
Thanks alotFX 5900 TD128 and FX 5900 VTD 128 is at same
V means that the graphic card is VIVO support (VIDEO IN-OUT)
and FX 5900 xt has a new nvidia chip on it.
but performance and quality is not changing very much -
What's the difference between the GT, GS, GX, GE and GP laptops?
I'm looking to buy a 15.6" laptop but nowhere on the MSI site can I find specific information on the differences between the various 'G' series.
Can anyone help please?Quote from: darkhawk on 07-June-14, 11:03:09
NOTE:This information is not updated, and can change depending on the products MSI releases....but GENERALLY speaking....
GT = high end Intel gaming laptop
GE = mid range Intel gaming laptop
GS = slim - high/mid range Intel gaming laptop
GX = high/mid range AMD gaming laptop (depending on game and your POV)
GP = slim - low range Intel gaming laptop
Now, this is just a quick summery.....
For instance:
GT series has 2 x 2.5" HDD/SSD bays, and can come with a SuperRaid/SuperRaid2 adapter which allows the user of 2/3 mSATA SSD's in raid for a high speed drive, as well as a high end dedicated video card (GTX870 or GTX880)
GE series has a single 2.5" HDD/SSD bay, as well as 2 mSATA slots. Mid range dedicated video card (GTX860)
GS accepts 2 x mSATA drives, and has a mid range dedicated GPU (GTX850 I believe)
GX has a high end AMD dedicated video card (HD8870? Or whatever AMD's highest end card is now), and I'm not 100% sure what slots it comes with. I'm sure it has at least a single 2.5" HDD, but I'm not sure if it has 2, or mSATA sockets.
GP I think accepts a single 2.5" drive and that's it, and has a low end dedicated video card (GT840).
This is a quick summery, and do not take this information as being 100% correct. I might be wrong with some slight specs (usually noted), but what I do know is listed above.
oh not really GS range accepts 3 x msata on gs70 model from 2014, but if you buy one from 2013 then it only have 2x msata -
Error while starting the AqAdapter in SOA Suite 11g Admin Console
facing an issue with the AqAdapter(Resource Adapter) in Soa Suite 11g Admin Console.
we go to Deployments --> Select Aq Adapter --> Currently it shows the status as Prepared
Now we try to Start it again --> it comes back with the error message mentioned below
weblogic.application.ModuleException: weblogic.connector.exception.RAException:
Jndi Name is null or empty. Errors were encountered while performing this operation.
source path on the admin server is mentioned here for this AqAdapter:
/opt101/app/oracle/SOAD/SOA11gR1/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/connectors/AqAdapter.rar
deployment plan :
/opt101/app/oracle/SOAD/SOA11gR1/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/connectors/was/Plan. xml
We check in the Configuration tab --> Outbound Connection Pools -->
here it shows the Group as javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory and under it we have setup
2 connection pool instances with JNDI names as : eis/AQ/aqSample & eis/aq/B2BAQ
Could someone please help here as to what could be the reason why this error is coming and
how we could resolve this.
With Regards & thanksThis is what we have done :
1.Created the JDBC data source & connection pool as below :
data source name : B2BAQ , JNDI name : jdbc/B2BAQ
Connection Pool :
URL : taken from the tns entries of the instance
Driver Class Name : oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
Tested this connection ..it works fine from the Admin Console
2.Then go to Deployments --> AqAdapter -> Configuration tab --> Outbound Connection Pool Group -->
Create a new connection pool instance -- General tab
connection interface factory : javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory
JNDI Name : eis/AQ/B2BAQ
Then in Properties tab : Enter the Data Source Name : jdbc/B2BAQ
Then we try to Start the AqAdapter from the Admin Console..it goes into Prepared status.
The error message which comes is mentioned above.
Is there any way we could resolve this ..that would be very helpful
Regards

Configure OSB 11g to use the same domain as SOA Suite 11g
Hi,
A quick question on OSB Installation and extend the weblogic domain created for soa for OSB also. Please guide me what i am following is the correct path.
I followed the soa 11g and osb 11g installation doc from Eric Elzinga blog also checked oracle doc. Am quite confused about the directory structure to cofigure SOA Suite 11g and OSB 11g.
After SOA suite install , I Configure Oracle SOA Suite by following the below path
Run: middleware/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/config.exe (followed the blog ON OSB 11g Installation from Eric Elzinga).
I have seen another path to configure soa suite from oracle doc
SOA_ORACLE_HOME\common\bin\config.cmd
eg: E:\oraclehome\11g\middleware\Oracle_SOA1\common\bin\config.cmd
both directory str are correct?
After OSB installation , to configure OSB , I choose to reuse the SOA Suite domain to extend it with the Oracle Service Bus components. so in that case , is it the right directory structure I am following is
<Middleware_Home>\oracle_common\common\bin\config.bat.
eg: E:\oraclehome\11g\middleware\oracle_common\common\bin\config.bat
Thanks in advance
jkEventually you configure the weblogic domain always (either it is for SOA or OSB or BPM or all), so you should use middleware/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/config.exe

Does SOA Suite 11g include OSB?
What's the difference between OSB and ESB.
ESB is a component of SOA Suite and it can connect to different services.
OSB has more functions such as dynamic routing and Message Enrichment. If I just buy SOA suite, can I use OSB? Or I must buy OSB if I want to use it in my application which contains SOA components.I think with SOA suite 11g license, you may use OSB. No need to purchase it seprately. You may refer -

Oracle SOA Suite 11g vs jdevstudio11.11
In reviewing the SOA Order Booking Quikstart Guide it requires that you download and configure Oracle SOA Suite. Prior to starting this Guide, I had already downloaded the Oracle SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview which included two downloads (JDeveloper and the update to the design and runtime). I followed the install instructions from the same site.
1) Having completed these two downloads and installs do I still need to install and configure the Oracle SOA Suite to run the SOA Order Quickstart Guide?
2) My understanding was that the Oracle SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview included the Oracle SOA Suite, is this correct? If not correct, do I need to also install the Oracle SOA Suite (my downloaded version is soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip)?
3) When configuring the SOA Suite, per the guide, it states that I should go to http://loalhost:8888 but I do not get a connection. If I still need to install the Oracle Suite then I expect that this will solve this issue (per questions above) but if it already is isntalled with the SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview then I confused as to how to get this location to show up? I can get the SOA Console to show up but I don't know if this is the same? The SOA Orderbooking Quickstart is for SOA Suite 10.1.3.x. If you want to run this sample, you do have to install SOA Suite 10.1.3.x. This is the current released version of SOA Suite.
The Technology Preview 3 is SOA Suite 11g. This version is in a pre-beta/preview status right now. It has the SOA Suite with the JDeveloper. This version has its own tutorials/samples.
In reply to your specific questions:
1) the two downloads for the TP3 do not apply to the 10.1.3.1 SOA Orderbooking Quickstart.
2) The 11g TP3 does include the 11g SOA Suite and you do not need to install the 10.1.3.1 zip to run the preview.
3) When you run the SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, the default port is 8888. When you run the 11g SOA Suite inside JDev, the default port is 8988.

SOA Suite 11g and its compatibility with Weblogic
Hi ,
I have two questions:
1. From where do I download the SOA Suite 11g --Link to the download?
2.If SOA suite 11g can be installed on weblogic. I understand that SOA suite 10.1.3.4 is compatible with weblogic 9.2 but need some inputs on the SOA Suite11g!
Cheers
PrabalPrabal,
Did you get an answer or we have to wait for the official release till July-1-2009.
Thanks,

Installing AIA 11g on top of SOA Suite 11g
I have installed SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.5) as per Oracle Installation Guide. The installation is successful and SOA Suite 11g is working fine!
Now I need to installa AIA 11g.
1) Currently I have Oracle XE database. Do I need to uninstall it and install Oracle 11g DB?
2) If yes, do I need to uninstall SOA Suite and install it again after DB installation?
Please advise.
ThanksIts always better to have Oracle 11g database, against XE database.
You dont need to uninstall the SOA 11g, just make sure you have the Compatible Oracle 11g database version, create the RCU, then you have to point all the JNDI which is available in SOA 11g to new database.
Check in metalink.oracle.com. You should get a note explaining, about how to change the RCU pointing.
Thanks,

What'z the difference between the Commercial Invoices and
What'z the difference between the Commercial Invoices and
Invoices/Excise Invoices? Also I understand that we can combine 2~3
invoices and can create one commercial invoice? If it is possible, how
to create the same?
cheers
shalsa007....Hello,
A commercial invoice is a bill for the goods from the seller to the buyer. Commercial invoices are utilized by customs officials to determine the value of the goods in order to assess customs duties and taxes.
In general there is no standard form for a commercial invoice although they tend to contain many of the following features:
seller's contact information
buyer's contact information
consignee's contact information (if it is different from the buyers)
invoice date
a unique invoice number
sales terms (usually in incoterm format)
payment terms
currency of sale
full quantities and description of merchandise (Generally this includes unit price and total price. Product descriptions should be consistent with the buyer's purchase order. Including the Harmonized System commodity codes can be helpful, especially in countries that are WTO members.)
Excise invoice Original for Buyer copy, whether prices are inclusive or exclusive of excise duty.
The invoice in which the Excise duties are included.
As per Indian tax system, Excise duty (16%) is payable by each manufacturing unit on the value of manufactured goods / on the value added. The manufacturing plant is supposed to submit an excise duty report on fortnightly / monthly basis. Various registers (RG1, RG23A, RG23C, PLA) are maintained for that purpose, which record all the transactions including movement of goods, cenvat credit available and cash balance available.
In SAP, we use transaction j1id for configuration and j1iin, j2i7, j1i5, j2i5, j2i6, j1ip for creating, extracting and printing excise invoice.
*Please reward if this helps**

What are differences between the target tablespace and the source tablespac
The IMPDP command create so manay errors. But the EXAMPLE tablespace is transported to the target database successfully. It seems that the transported tablespace is no difference with the source tablespace.
Why create so many errors?
How to avoid these errors?
What are differences between the target tablespace and the source tablespace?
Is this datapump action really successfull?

Since it looks like you're trying to set up the sample schemas, is there a reason that you wouldn't just run the sample schema setup scripts on the destination database? Why are you using Data Pump in the first place?

I am trying to check the last date (i.e. max date) and also check the penultimate date (i.e. the second to the last date). And then find the difference between the two (i.e. last date minus penultimate
date).
I would like to do that for each of the companies listed in Table 2: Tickers. I am able to do it for just one company (MSFT) using the queries below:
SELECT
[First] = MIN(ExDate),
[Last] = MAX(ExDate),
[Diff] = DATEDIFF(DAY, MIN(ExDate), MAX(ExDate))
FROM (
SELECT TOP 2 Dividends.ExDate
FROM Dividends, Tickers
WHERE Dividends.symId=Tickers.symId
AND Tickers.Symbol='MSFT'
ORDER BY ExDate DESC
) AS X
Outputs the following result:
First
Last
Diff
2012-11-13
2013-02-19
98
But what I would like instead is to be able to output something like this:
Symbol
First
Last
Diff
MSFT
2012-11-13
2013-02-19
98
AAN
2012-11-13
2012-12-14
1
X
2012-11-13
2012-12-14
1
Can anyone please let me know what do I need to add on my query in order to achieve the desired output?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Could you try this?

Difference between the PI 7.1 and PI 7.0
Hello all,
Please kindly give the differences between the PI7.1 and PI7.0.
Please don't mention the features of new PI 7.1as I already know the features and enhancements.
I need the differences between the version with comparing the their features.Hello Babu,
a)The message server and the enqueue server can be separated from the central instance (CI) to the ABAP SAP Central Services Instance (ASCS) in the ABAP stack
also (recommended)
In SAP NetWeaver 7.1 ,Only ASCS is supported
b)SAP has changed the signatures of the relevant Java classes,So in these cases the Java coding effort should only be "mere syntax check".
And...
1. PI 7.0 is the part of Netweaver 2004s and PI 7.1 is key entity in eSOA.
2. PI 7.1 have various mapping Enhancements as well as reusability of UDFs across the mappings etc. which is not available in PI 7.0
3. PI 7.1 comes with the concept of folders for more flexibale and Organized way of developements.
4.Advanced adapter engine is used in PI 7.1, which have overcome the various communication related limitations of previous versions
5.High Volume support in PI 7.1

Difference Between SOAP And HTTP Adapters
Hi,
Any body give me some information Abt Differences between SOAP And HTTP Adapters i know both are in use of Webservises. Any one come with more specific differences like in what case we go for SOAP And in what case we go for HTTP. thanks in advance.
Thanks
kiran.BHi,
In addition to the above
The SOAP Adapter enables u to exchange SOAP messages between the remote clients or web servers and the integration server
The HTTP Adapter is used to receive the arbitrary XML in the body of an HTTP-Post request. The HTTP adapter uses HTTP version 1.0 and does not support returning fault messages to the sender.
The HTTP adapter is used by the external systems to connect to the integration engine using the native HTTP interface. The plain HTTP adapter is a part of integration engine.

Gunasree.
