Different Cost Centers for Different Line Items in a single Reservation

Hello Gurus,
When we create a Material Reservation, we give the cost center at the header level and that cost center is accounted for each of the line items in the reservation. But when the reservation has many line items which depend on different cost centers,  there is a need to enter different cost centers for different line items in the same Material Reservation. How can this be done? Please suggest.

Hi,
It's a standard restriction in SAP functionality  where one reservation document can only accommodate one cost center.
You can not maintain multiple cost centres for individual line items.
You have to create seperate Reservations for each cost centre.

    Hi,
      This you can do it in two ways:
    1. Make three header under top level....one Product A, 2nd Product B ( as Billing element) and third as Common expense ( only cost). Now 1st & 2 nd WBS, you have to have sales order linking with individual lint item, for third you will accumulate all the common expense till the period end then make a reposting of the same in desired proportion to both products WBS hierarchy
    (This is if you want to have a track on the common expense as well.......like planning, budgeting & control)
    After this reposting, run RA for individual billing element and hence you will all the complement detailing and control over Revenue and expense with respect to Product A and Product B individually.
    2. If you don't want to maintain that kind of detailing the common expense and keep track of it through project, then have cost centers accordingly and make an assesment/ distribution with respect to expenses accumulated at those cost centers for the period to the respective WBS under each product. Then execute the period end processes for the project.
    Or
    You can try with have two more line items in the costing sheet as an overhead against common expenses with respect each product.

    Dear Srinivas,
             While creating sales order select the item which you want to change the pricing date then go to menu>GOTO>Item -->Click on Sales A here you can able to change the pricing date as you like.
    You can change the pricing date of the item in the sales order through sales order change mode but that sales order should be open.

  • Can it not possible that i can retrive it for all line items in a single qu

    I have to make report for my application in which I am facing a following problem:
    In the application there are multiple suppliers and each supplier having multiple line items and each item having multipale events. each evant having three status GREEN,RED and BLUE.
    When a user select 'all suppliers' to show the the status time span for a supplier (i.e. for a supplier how many parts and upto how much time parts are in blue, red and green status)
    to show the cumulative status time span I have to find out a event for each line item which is having nearest lower entry time from the lower part of the given time span.for this i have write following query
    SELECT * FROM parts_events
    WHERE vendorid = ? AND partid = ?
    AND visible = 'visible' AND active = 1
    AND entrytime = (SELECT MAX(entrytime) as
    entrytime from parts_events
    WHERE vendorid = ?
    AND partid = ?
    AND entrytime < ?
    AND visible = 'visible'
    AND active = 1)
    the problem is that i have to fire this query for each line item, can it not possible that i can retrive it for all line items in a single query?

    maybe if you can post some sample data and output will help us analyze more youre requirement.

  • Different profit centers in 2 line item of a FI document

    Hi Experts,
    In FI document posted from billing has got 2 different  profit center on each line item,  I would expect to see same profit center on both line items,  can you please advise why they are different. We are working on 4.7 and no concept of document splitting in our case.
    If this is correct can you please explain me the concept behind this.

    Dear Experts,
    I am taking about billing document which got posted and do you still think that it is because of the cost center?  I have checked OKB9 settings they are in place.
    But here in our case Dr entry is to customer account with different Profit center, Cr entry is to Sales account it has different Profit center. But one Profit center is coming from Material Master but not clear on the other Profit center.

  • Fi document: different tax code for each line item

    Dear All,
    Our FI department needs to post FI documents by uploading the list of line items. For each line item (even when they have the same g/l account) tax code may be different from 0 to 10%. Also the tax code needs to be entered in EUR not in %. So for example they may need to post the folowing document:
              PstKey   Account    Amount     Tax amt
    001     21          Vendor       95 EUR     Tax amount 5 EUR
    002     50          GRIR          100 EUR
    003     21          Vendor       90 EUR     Tax amount 10 EUR
    004     50          GRIR          100 EUR
    At the moment users have to post it manually. Tax rate cannot be restricted to allow tax from 0 to 10%.
    Can you please advice what would be the best approach for them to make it? Providing they do want to upload the document not enter the items manually..

    are there some messages during this process? Upload this list in foreground batch input execution. Verify if in stop point displays any messagem. If it is the case, go to OBA5 to change its status.

    I would like to know how the IV has been done for the P.O. with differnt tax codes for each line item. Since in MIRO at header level we can select only one tax code.

    It means we can post only one invoice at time i.e.for line item same taxcode is there.
    e.g. If line item 10 has tax code A1, 20 has A2 then on header i can only select either A1 or A2 tax code & post invoice of that line item.

  • To make service entry sheet for multiple line items of the service PO.

    Hello MM Gurus,
    Please help me for the following
    I create a service PO with say 10 line items. Then while doing the service entry sheet the system automatically picks the line item 10 by default. When I try to enter the other items it throws an error" unplanned services cannot be entered"
    So how to make a service entry sheet which shall include all the line items of the service PO at the same time.
    So if I have 100 items in the PO do we make the service entry sheet 100 times against each item? Is there any seeting/solution on this?

    I have two solution for u.
    1) Create different service entry sheet -ML81N for each line item and create single invoice verification for all service entry sheet - MIRO
    2) Create service purchase order - ME21N for only one line item.
    And include all services in service tab available at item detail level of service purchase order. Enter it's quantity and rate.
    Than create one service entry sheet for purchase order.
    So you can create one service entry sheet for all line item of services.
    Note: - Use option 2 for easy process.

    I need to build a customised report with the following format:
    Cost element columns | Cost center 1 | cost center 2 | cost center 3, etc -> dynamic cost center columns

    Questions:
    From the above selection screens, I need to pull out all the data stored in the table: COEP
    But, the problem is that inside this table, there is no cost center or cost center group stored; and therefore the program should be smart enough to pull out all the documents from the table: COEP and then make sure that the document / list of documents that pull out should belongs to the cost center or cost center group, as well as date range.
    KIndly advise how functional description/design should be built in order ABAPer can understand the requirement?
    What should be the tables to refer in order meet the requirement.
    Similar Standard SAP cost center report should be S_ALR_87013611 - Cost Centers: Actual/Plan/Variance, but this report read from many tables.

    Please find the logic below & try it at your system-
    Here cost center group is not possible (also i not checked it so do it on your own simultaneously i am trying the same).
    Use Table BSEG-> in bseg give the cost center-> with the help of cost center find the account number (field HKONT)-> take this GL account number & got to table COEP-> in this give the GL account number at field 'offsetting account' (field GKONT) & you will get the line item.

    It is not possible to assign different currencies for multiple line items in a AP invoice.
    Try to book the different documents(different correncies for a single vendor in a A/P Invoice).

  • Depreciation posting for two different Cost Centers

    Hello everybody,
    My client has an asset that was assigned to Cost Center #1 from the 1st of january to the 20th. Then it was reassigned to Cost Center #2. (Cost Center is configured to be a time dependent field).
    We were expecting the system to split the depreciation amount into these two Cost Centers at the end of the month. Apparently we were expecting too much. The depreciation amount is going completely to Cost Center #2 wich is incorrect.
    Do you think that there is something missing in the configuration? Or SAP just does not split the depreciation amount according to the time intervals? If that is impossible, do you have any alternative solutions?

    Distribution of Depreciation and Interest
    It is only possible to enter one cost center in the asset master record. You distribute depreciation and interest to different cost centers using settlement within Controlling (CO). The cost center in the asset master record then serves the function of a distribution cost center.
    The disadvantage of this approach is that reports show only the distribution cost center, and not the cost centers that are actually debited. Also, you need to create a separate cost center for the distribution.
    A different approach is to follow this procedure:
    ·        Determine the cost center that you want to be shown in asset reports as the cost center of the asset. Enter this cost center in the asset master record.
    ·        Enter an internal order in the asset master record. The system then posts to this order when it posts depreciation. The system does not post to the cost center.
    ·        Settle the internal order to the cost centers that you want to debit.

    when the expenses occur... the amount hits this GL a/c
    Example GL amount = 50,000
    Now we want to maintain the percentage for different COST CENTERS....
    & that 50,000 should be distributed automatically to respective cost
    centers depending on %
    So how do we go about it...please advise

  • Open Item interest calculation with different exchange rate for each line

    Dear All
    We have a short term loan facility with our Bank. We take short term loan with bank on different terms and condition. Now user has requirement to have different interest rate for each open items depending on the posting date or any other condition. I think in SAP for one bank account only one rate is applicate for validity from date.
    Can someone share his/her experience if got the same requirement from user

    As of overdue days are concerned there is no standard functionality available whereas there is for amount.
    Better solution is that you get an ABAPer create your own functional module. That will help you in better way.

    Each item in a PO has a tab called delivery adress.
    If your SapScripter has not done something odd, then this adresses are printed below each item in the PO form.
