Different exchange rate

Hi,
I have one issue on the exchange rate. I posted the one document on 31st aug 10. It's exchange rate is 4.96. But in OB08 I have not seen the same rate. On same date it's showing the rate 9.56. So why it is differences between the rate? While posting document I didn't not change the rate.
Can anyone help me out the regard this.

  • Different Exchange Rate between Daily Transactions and Tax Transactions

    Hi All,
I would like to ask abount define Exchange Rate for tax calculation. I set our standard exchange rates (For Daily Transactions) by using exchange rate type 'M'. But I want to calculate the tax element using exchange rate type 'T'. It is because there is a different exchange rate which is used for Daily Transaction and Tax Transactions. Does anyone know a way of doing this in config to separate this exchange rate for tax calculation?
    Thanks for any help,
    John

I think its a bit misleading...The requirement is to post an Invoice with a base taxable amount of  Exchange Rate A and a tax amount of Exchange Rate B. The Base Currency is JPY and the System Currency is SGD. So the Report S_ALR_87012357 should see the amount in SGD there. The Issue is caused by the different exchange rate on the tax amount submitted by the Vendor Invoice.
Example: Vendor Invoice Amount: 926,413.00 JPY, then we created PO to Invoice with Base Currency JPYalso amounted 926,413.00 JPY. However, in the Vendor Invoice Amount, the Tax Chargeable is 923.00 SGD (based on their exchange rate 65.66 JPY per SGD). But our Exchange Rate (System Rate) is 63.49 JPY per SGD. How can we reflect the Tax Amount as 65.66 JPY but still the correct SGD amount is based on the Vendor Original Invoice Exchange Rate 65.66 and not the System Exchange Rate, 63.49 in the same Invoice Creation (MIRO)?

  • Different Exchange rate in MIRO

    Hello,
MIRO is being done in foregin currency (PO was also in foregin currency), but during MIRO, user wants to give his own exchange rate, instead of that being picked up system, since for these MM invoices, the physical billls which they are getting are using different exchange rate, hence user wants to enter such a rate, which will equal the amount being present in the physicall bill..
How is it possible (or) sggest best practice for same?
    Thanks
    balla

    Hi Balla,
To change exchange rate in MIRO, follow the following process:
    1)  Go to MIRO
    2)  Enter Invoice date, Reference and change the currency to USD
    3)  Go to details tab  page and enter the rate that u require
    4)  Enter the PO no and press enter and proceed as usual.
Kindly note that once u put inthe PO no and press enter the ex rate field in details tab becomes uneditable.

  • Different Exchange Rate Type for Vendors and Customers Invoices

    Dear Friends,
We have configured different exchange rate types for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable thru T Code OB07. What are the additional Config steps required to ensure that the respective buying and selling rates will apply to Accounts Payables and Receivables. We do not want to stipulate the exchange rate types in Document Types as this special exchange rates are applicable only for one of the Company Codes.
Would appreciate your help in this regard.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Then you can use a different document type for those company codes and can default the exchange rate type there.
    OR,
The alternative wya is to use the substitution in OBBH/ GGB1 for those company codes with exit programming.

  • Utilizing different exchange rate type for same currency combination

    Hello Gurus,
I wanted to get your opinion/experience in handling the following scenario.
We have company codes in different countries operating using different local currencies. There is alternate exchange rate type  EURX defined for Exchange rate type M for many currency combinations due to business requirements. One country with local currency EUR is utilizing EURX SEK - EUR exchange rate combination.
Other country with local currency HUF is making use of exchange rate type MNB as an alternate exchange rate. In one of its transaction, where VAT is being calculated on its foreign transaction, HUF company is trying to seek rate of MNB SEK- EUR where country currency is SEK and document currency is EUR.
But since on the 'translation ratios for currency translation' table EURX being the alternate currency for that particular combination, even when we set MNB SEK EUR exchange rate, the system is obviously picks up EURX rate.
Has anyone come across similar scenario where different countries trying to get different exchange rate types for the same combination of currency? and If so, how would that be possibly handled through config or using something custom?
Thanks all for your replies in advance.
    Regards,
    Sagar K.

    Hi Sagar,
In tcode OBBS, if Alt.exchange rate is used for any currency pair, then that rate is used ( EURX in this case).
All countries in EMU region uses EURX ( which is mostly fixed after introduction of EUR).
If the company is in different countries in Europe, then mostly EUR is used as Alt. exchange rate. which uses EUR as reference currency.
Ther is no country specific settings in std. sap for a currency pair.

  • Different exchange rate type for budgetting internal orders

    Hi,
we would like to use a different exchange rate types when budgetting on internal orders depending on the order type.
In our current set-up  the internal order types are linked to a budget profile, in this budget profile we have specified the exchange rate type to use.
Unfortunately this doesn't work (I guess this is only used to translate the total budget)
We do availability control in company code currency and on a yearly base, but each time we approve some budget we want to translate this at the most recent (monthly) exchange rate.
This works if we change the exchange rate type P each month so that it contains the most recent exchange rate on the first of januari.
Unfortunately this P-rate is also used for other things (other budget on other order types and cost center planning) here we want to be able to keep the same exchange rate throughout the whole year.
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanx in advance
    Sven

  • Different exchange rate type for PO

    Hi,
I have a requirement, where I need to take a different exchange rate type for one particular PO document type.
I have already maintained exchange rate type Z in Tcurr table.
I should enable system to pick this exchange rate for PO wich are created from a PO document type
Same exchange rate should be picked for GR and IR as well.
If I overwrite the PO exchange rate in PO header, GR and IR are picked default M exchange rate type.
If I maintain Z exchange rate for doc type WE and RE, the same would taken for all POs GR/IR.
I should make it available only for a PO document type and relevent GR/IRs.
Can you please advise how we can achieve this.
Your help in this regard is much appreciated.

  • Different exchange rate on each material issued for order

    Hi all,
I have strange situation like this. Controlling area currency is USD and object/company code currency is THB. When i do Good Issue for production order, system use different exchange rate for each material although all of these material are posted on the same posting date for good issue.
    Example :
I do Good issue material A and material B for production order 100000 at posting date 01.03.2008. When i look into cost analysis and look for USD currency, i found that exchange rate for material A is 30 THB/USD and exchange rate for material B is 25 THB/USD. FYI i use exchange rate type m. How can this happen?? How can each material have different exchange rate although its transaction at the same posting date??
I'm waiting your advice.. Maximum point will be given.

  • Vendor Invoice w/ different exchange rate on taxable amount and tax amount

    Hi Experts,
I have an issue with regarding the Vendor Invoice with Foreign Currency. Normally we use JPY as our base currency and system exchange rate for out Vendor Invoices. But there was an audit issue pointing out that the Original Vendor Invoice is not tallied with the SAP Invoice as the tax amount is not the same. The problem is the Original Invoice has the Vendor Exchange Rate and it is not the same with the system rate that we use. Auditor tells us that we should use the Vendor Exchange Rate for Tax Amount and use the System Exchange Rate for the Taxable Amount. Is this possible? Can we use 2 Exchange Rates in a single Invoice Document one for the taxable amount and one for the tax amount? How can we possibly do this? Or any workaround?
Thanks a lot for the information!

  • In an accounting entry vat line should post with different exchange rate how to do that.

In specific jurisdictions invoices in foreign currency should also show

  • Apply different exchange rate types in sales order and invoice

    Dear Experts,
How to configure different  exchagnes in sales order and invoice?
For example, use average exchange rate in sales order but current exchange rate in invoice.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Wang Hui

    Hi all,
I also need to apply different exchange rate between sales order and Invoice.
    E.g:
condition type currency (komv-waers)          sales document currency (komk-waerk)         company currency (t001-waers)
In my example, each of above currencies can be different:
    komv-waers = EUR
    komk-waerk = USD
    t001-waers = GBP
I tried through VTFL transaction but it is not working in all situations cause VTFL allows me to manage situations where
    komk-waerk NE T001-waers
But I need to convert condition types where
    komk-waerk EQ T001-waers but
    komv-waers NE komk-waerk
Can I manage this situation through SAP standard and/or VTFL transaction?
    Is there any other solution?
I really hope you can help me
    Thanks a lot

  • Parallel currencies - Same currency but 2 different exchange rate type -

    Hi Expert,
I need your knowledge - I want to create a romanian company with 2 currencies - the first one will be RON company currency with the standard exchange rate type used for all others company of the group (maintained monthly from German National Bank exch.rate)
The second one will be also RON, currency of the trading partner, but with a specific exchange rate type (maintained Daily from the Romania National Bank)
I would like to work in this way to satisfy the group, which need to work with a monthly exchange rate for X reasons, and our Romanian company for which the daily exchange rate is mandatory.
If you have some experience on it, please give a feedback, not in detail (certainly to much work) but at least if I can go on this way or not. if you know a black point in some transaction (I think to the fixed assets, or stock valuation ....) and if you have an advice to have the correct value in RFBILA00 for example.
Thanks a lot for your help

There are many approaches for different exchange rates maintainence.
Here are the information required to process your query.
    1. How many company code  do you have in your company
    2. what is group currency maintained at client level
    3. Do you use special ledger or under new gl
    4. will you customer allow to deviate from the iso standards of currency maintainence like RON for romanian to ZRO for same romanian currency.
Expecting input for processing your query.

  • Single invoice for multiple orders with different exchange rates

    Hi Gurus,
We have a situation where the client wants to bill two orders together but both have been created in different months and have different header exchange rates.
Can someone advise if we can combine these orders / deliveries into one invoice if
    (a) pricing dates & order creation dates are different
    (b) exchange rate of order header differs for both orders
If standard behaviour is different, can someone advise how it can be manipulated to suit our requirement which is to have 1st exchange rate on those invoice items coming from 1st sales order and 2nd rate for those invoice items coming from 2nd sales order.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Krishna
    SAP SD

    Hi,
the date will not affect the consolidation of orders to a single invoices provided yur bill to party and all other details are same in both the docuemnts. But due to the exchange rate differences it may split. You can try the same in your test system. If it is splitting the invoice then you need to modify the requirement used in the copying control from order to billing to allow the same.

  • Different exchange rate type M in different company codes

    Dear all,
I am facing the following very inconvenience problem:
I am an SAP consultant and has ALWAYS set up exchangre rate type M, the same rate used for all company codes in the Group.
My new customer wants to have different exhange rates for ALL company codes, that means we cannot use exchange rate type M for all company codes. All company codes in Sweden could have the same exchange rate type and so on, since all the rates within a country is updated with the rate from banks in the particular countries.
I think a solution could be to create worklists for every country and to always maintain all the rates against the local currencies within the country. This means in Sweden all the rates will be maintained against SEK, but never in any other way. That menas we can never maintain the rates from SEK to EUR in Sweden, we only maintain the rates against Sweden. I Finland however, all rates will be maintained against EUR (the local currency för all company codes in Finalnd).
Could this cause problems (or inconsistency) that incorrect rates will be used?
I am very very thankful for all help I can get in this question!
    Best Regards, Åsa

    Hi
Here you need to concentrate on Direct or indirect quotation
If you are using EUR to SEK (LC) - use direct quotation as 8.8307 1:1 relation
If you are using SEK to EUR - use indirect quotaion as 0.1132 1:1 relation
Pls let me know if you required further help

  • POSTING WITH A DOCUMENT TYPE WITH DIFFERENT EXCHANGE RATE TYPES

    Hi there,
We have different company codes in the same client. These companies are situated in various countries.
I like to use the same document type with several exchange types M and X(specific for countries). Posting in MM and SD are ok by defining a exchange rate to master records of customers and vendors. Unfortunately I could not find a way to post documents from FI using the same document type.
    Is it possible and how?
    Thank you,
    melike

    Hi,
In accounting editing options (Transaction code FB00) - in the tab Document entry - there is an option to select the check box Exchange Rate from first line item. If this is selected, the exchange rate entered manually in the first line item will be copied in the header automatically. This could be one of the options you can consider.
However, the hitch is it involves manual entry which could result in human errors.
    Thanks
    Murali.
