Different mail topic and mail content in subscription

Hello,
do you know how to fix this problem? The portal user has set language in DataSource. Subscription is configured properly. Why all subscriptions notification has email topic with english version, and content with user specific language??
I've checked KM->etc->notifications folder in KM repository and xml files with specific language exists.
Do you know how to fix it?? Thanks a lot for any help
Regards
Marcin

Hi Marcin,
This is a known issue and fixed with SP7, see https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1413344
Hope it helps
Detlev
PS: I would advise to update directly to SP10 the current patches.

  • JMS distrubuted topic and jms inbound adapter

    Hi,
We are building a HA application using precise recovery using JMS. FOr that we want to create a distributed JMS Topic (ckustered JMS Topic). As we understand things, when a JMS subscriber subscribes to a distributed Topic it is actually wired to a sopecific server (a specific fisical JMS Topic). When this JMS server fails the connection is dropped and the JMS subscriber needs to reconnect.
    1. Is our understanging correct?
    2. If yes and we need to reconnect to the surviving JMS Topic, is there a way to "tell" the JMS Inbound adapter to do so? Is it done automatically by the adapter?
    Thanks,

There are a few different things you should be considering when configuring JMS for precise recovery, so I'm afraid this is going to be a long response.
    * The precise recovery feature may not work correctly in the case where JMS output messages are lost. Avoiding message loss in the case of a JMS failure involving topics requires the use of persistent messages and durable subscribers. This is true regardless of whether you're using Distributed Topics or a Topic hosted by a single server. So use of durable subscribers is highly recommended when using CEP precise recovery.
    * The CEP JMS input adapter won't actually support durable subscriptions until the upcoming 11.1.1.6 (PS5) release. So if you want to use durable subscriptions to avoid problems with precise recovery in the case of JMS server failure you would need to be on this release of CEP (at least for production).
    * If you're using the CEP JMS inbound adapter with a distributed topic and a non-durable subscription, you can configure the adapter destination-jndi-name with the logical name of the topic and if the topic member servicing a given consumer fails, the consumer will reconnect to a surviving topic member. This works because you're using a logical destination name (not a physical host name or IP address), so the adapter is able to determine the surviving servers associated with the logical topic and reconnect to one of them. However since you'd be using non-durable subscriptions in this case to achieve failover/reconnect, you can have the problem described above with message loss and precise recovery (non-durable subscribers/non-persistent messaging can lose messages during the actual failover/reconnect).
    * Unfortunately, WLS doesn't support durable subscriptions to distributed topics using the logical destination name. When using distributed topics you can only create durable subscriptions on specific topic members, and since these are subscriptions to a specific physical member these subscribers won't failover to another topic member if the server hosting their subscription fails.
So given all of the above you can see that the use of distributed topics with CEP precise recovery may not provide the ideal level of HA (the ability to handle combinations of JMS and CEP failures). You might want to consider using a non-distributed (single server) topic with persistent messaging and durable subscriptions as an alternate approach for precise recovery. In this configuration JMS server failure would require restarting the failed server, but once the JMS server is restarted there should be no message loss and CEP precise recovery should work correctly.
If you're determined to use distributed topics you might want to try posting to the JMS forum to see if anyone there has ideas for other solutions. Just let them know that CEP in this case is essentially acting as a vanilla JMS client (not MDB based) that can't tolerate message loss:

  • How to use different mail address in "from" and "user" property?

I'd like to use the user enter mail address as the "from" property and use my mail account to send it, but I got error: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 553 You are not authorized to send mail, authentication is required when set different mail address in "from" and "user" property, how to resolve this problem?

Basically that's a bad idea. Suppose you used your server to send messages that claimed to come from "[email protected]"? Naturally enough people have tried that, either as a joke or as an attempt at fraud, so that servers will check to see if the message is coming from the server it claims to be coming from. And if it isn't -- as in that example -- it will consider it a forgery. Best case (for you) is that the server will flag it as spam or junk. Worst case is that your server will be blacklisted and other servers will ignore it.

You can do it. This article from Macworld will be helpful to you:

    I recommend the "brute-force" method.

  • Using the Mail content and Mail Attachment in the mapping

    Hi,
I have a requirement in which I need to read a file from the mail server and I am using the sender mail adapter for this. I have to convert the attachment of the mail in to the payload. To do this I am using the payload swap bean and mail transform bean. Now the issue is I have to get the information from both attachment and the mail content and need to map it to the target message. Please let me know how to do this.
    Thanks!
    ~Vaas

Not sure if there is a staright forward way to achieve this.
But I can think of a work around for your scenario.
    >>To do this I am using the payload swap bean and mail transform bean.
Instead of doing it this way, try
    1. Message Transform bean that will transform the payload(content of the mail) to XML.
    2. PayloadSwapBean to switch Payload and Attachment.
    3. Message Transform bean to transform the attachment to XML.
    4. Custom adapter module to read the attachment, contnet and create your own desired XML.
Alternatively, step 4 could be replaced by a Java mapping doing the same operation.

Does anyone know how to retrieve lost mailbox folders and their contents in mail?

It might be that you selected "Delete sent mail after a mont (or a week, or whatever)" in Mail Preferences. iCloud account is IMAP, so it won't keep mail in your HD. I have that problem.

  • Mail from no sender with no topic and no message

For the past month or so I have been getting messages from no sender, with no subject line and no content.
Does anyone know what this is and how I can stop it?
    Thanks,
    Ivan

    Hi Ivan,
It's some problem outside of your control most likely, I've seen a few myself as well as other reports of this. I get a few mails not even addressed to me.
You can make a Rule that if From does not contain @, them move to trash.
Still, if you think it may be an issue on your end, this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.
One other possibility... did you show long Headers, is there any info there?

  • Mail app displays No Subject, No Sender and No content in All Inboxes

On my iPad 2 in the mail app, when looking at mail in All Inboxes my iCloud emails display with No Sender, No Subject, and No Content. If I tap on it there is "nothing to display". If I go to the iCloud inbox everything displays fine. I have multiple inboxes which include an exchange, gmail and xfinity accounts. The emails from these accounts all display fine in the All Inbox view. The Exchange is my primary work account and the iCloud is my primary home accoun tso viewing both is convenient.
So far I have tried powering the iPad off and on. Shut the iCloud mail off and back on. Neither has worked. All messages display fine on my iPhone.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks...Lenny

Quit the mail app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Or ....
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • How do I hide my mailbox and mail contents from other users, leaving other functions of my iMac accessible?

How do I hide my mailbox and mail contents from other users, leaving other functions of my iMac accessible?

You don't have to shut down the computer to switch accounts. All you do is click the Apple symbol in the upper left and choose Log Out and that's it. You can also set up Faster User Switching by:
    1. Open System Preferences - Accounts
    2. Click Login Options
    3. Check the box called "Show fast user switching menu as" then choose from either icon, short name or name.
Then when someone wants to switch users they can. The advantage of this method is if you are have a document open and don't want to close it the document will remain open. If the other user attempts to shut down the computer they can't until you have logged out thereby saving all your data.
A very simple and elegant solution.

Someone may have entered your address with the BCC: (blind carbon copy) option so the mail is sent to you but your address doesn't appear in the header.

How to separate joint Apple ID's account using different mails and passwords

    Hello ROOOS,
When you speak of a joint Apple ID account it seems you mean a shared Apple ID.
Frequently asked questions about Apple ID - Apple Support
Can I share my Apple ID with someone else?
You shouldn't share your Apple ID account information with other people. Each person should have their own Apple ID.
To eliminate the share one will keep it and the others will create their own Apple IDs.

I've different contact info and mail addresses on my pc (windows xp), iPhone  and iPad, using gmail. I get different results when synchronizing with iTunes.
What is synchronized where, and in which direction? Which unit will have to be correct before syncing?

All I had to do was complain.  I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store.  I have no idea why.
