Different transitions page build in and build out

is there a way to create different transitions for page build in and build out in indesign?

You are correct - that is not Indesign Terminology. I want to have a differnet page transiton when I arrive at page 2 then when I leave page 2. I want objects to animate in a particula waay when I arrive on page two, and those objects to animate away in a differnet way when I leave page 2. I can't seem to get a button to do animations AND then leave a page.

My company has a software product that accepts dragged items. In all versions of Windows from XP through Windows 10 build 9926 that functionality has worked fine. However, with build 10049 (possibly 10041 which I did not test thoroughly before going
to 10049) and now 10061 that functionality stopped working. The application calls DragAcceptFiles to enable drag drop messages. In addition, either ChangeWindowMessageFilter is called on Vista or ChangeWindowMessageFilterEx is called on Windows
7 and higher for the messages WM_DROPFILES, WM_COPYDATA, and WM_COPYGLOBALDATA. This was working fine on Windows 10 build 9926. Now when I attempt to drag an item to our software product, I get the "Don't" symbol (circle with line through
it) and no WM_DROPFILES messages are received. The application is unchanged with only an upgrade to the Windows 10 build performed. As a sanity check, I created a brand new VM running build 9926 and the functionality worked fine. I then upgraded
the VM to 10049 and it stopped working. The following day I upgraded to 10061 and it is still broken. Is there are new filter or restriction in place since build 9926 on DragAcceptFiles that would be stopping the traditional drag drop procedure
from working? This is very frustrating because there is a dearth of information on Windows 10 API changes and since this appears to be some kind of recent change, I am out of ideas of where to look for answers. I can duplicate this problem on the older
platforms by simply calling DragAcceptFiles with the second parameter set to false. In that case, on Windows 7 for example, I will get the "Don't" symbol just I am getting now in the Windows 10 TP with the argument set to true.

DragAcceptFiles is now working again in 10074 so whatever the problem was, it has been fixed.

Build.xml and build.properties?

I just want to ask if what these two files do? I'm on process of creating a web client where in I will need to access an existing web service. However, these two files confused me if they are manually created or generated? I'm building web client from the scratch. :-(

If you started from scratch, you must have made them yourself ;-)
But I guess your IDE created them we you made a project in it, usually they contain the instructions to build your project correctly (folder info, class path, etc).

Differance in actual credit note and print out

Or see if at credit note enduser has entered any manually condition type...where quantity is updating but if value has nt entered then then it ll show wrong out put which i hv earlier faced.

Location and building in Training and Event Management

Hello Dear Friends,
I Have a maybe very simple but confusing question.
I can not distinguish between "Location" and "Building" in Training and Event Management.Does Location contain buldings?
what is the relation between these two? and where do they join and link to each other? please give me an example.

Location means name of the city/town where the training is conducted,
Building means, in one city there may be more then one training institute/different building.
for an Ex.
Location - Delhi.
Building- Where the training is actually conducted. Like building 1 and building 2.

Missing build directory and Jdeveloper couldnt detect SoaServer also

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 for soasuite project development. When i create new SOA project, the build directory and files build.xml and build.properties are not getting created. Similarly soa server is also not detected by Jdeveloper. Is it due to any missing configuration in JDeveloper?. Please let me know why Jdeveloper couldnt detect SoaServer and why it is not creating build directory.

jdeveloper won't create the files when you're using the wizard to create a new soa project.
the same for the connection...you need to add the application server connection yourself.
for deployment you can use the scripts in <jdev_home>/jdeveloper/bin

Pages for iPad--different first page

I haven't been able to find a way in Pages for iPad to create a different first page for headers and footers. Is it possible?

So I'm really glad I found this conversation and I think I can help at least to find a temporary solution until Apple fixes this issue with pages for iPad. I had the same question and it seems that, in general, those of us that are upset with the lack of this feature are trying to abide by the APA guidelines for running headers. What I did is I went onto pages on my iMac desktop and created a template document with the headers set up in APA format. From there I retrieved the document on the iPad through dropbox (or icloud) and the change was made. Now, everytime I go to write something in APA on pages for the iPad I start with this template and I don't have to worry about setting up the headers as they are ready to go. I am recommending this because not only does it serve as an easy starting point for writer's in APA fields, it also guarantees that an authors work is consistent in its formating and style. No longer will you have to struggle with the subtle nuances of document design. Just make a template!

Why does my Pages Brochure print all washed out?

When I print my Pages Photo Brochure the colors are all washed out. I edit my photos in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and they print out with good color and resolution from PE10. Is there a color manager for Pages? I'm exporting my document as a PDF but even if I just drop a photo on a Pages blank page and print, its still washed out. The screen view looks great but print quality is bad. Adobe says its not their problem. I'm most appreciative of any help from the forum. I'm a new MAC user. Thanks in advance :-)Judy

I have always "saved for the web" since I'm a Real Estate Photographer and MLS Web Viewing is important. I save at 300dpi. It worked ok for print when I was using MS Publisher to create my documents. My print colors were vibrant with good resolution.
When I print aphoto dierectly from PE10, it looks great, but the same Photo printed from Pages is faded and washed out.
In PE10 I have my color profile set to Adobe RGB. In one forum I read that Elements should be set to determine color instead of the Printer. It seems as though the PE10 color profile isn't available to Pages.
Perhaps PE10 doesn't save the color profile in the photograph?
How should the Photoshop Elements Profile be set up to work best with Pages so that my photos will be optimized when I print from Pages?
I continue to use PE10 because I shoot with a wide angle lens and need to be able to correct vertical distortions.

Building in and then building out

I have a series of bullet points that I'd like to have build in then out one at a time so there's only one bullet at a time on a particular slide. When I try to rearrange the bullet points in the Build Order box of the Inspector it only allows me to move all the Build Ins or all the Build Outs but not one at a time. I'd like to have bullet one build in on the first click and then build out on the second click and same thing with the next two bullets. Is there a way to do this?

Is there a way to do this? Yes.
See the Build Inspector, select all the bullets, Build IN, and Delivery by Paragraph
then
select all the bullets, Build Out, and Delivery by Paragraph,
then
in the Drawer, start shuffling and altering the Start Build until you get what you want.
Alternately, have each bullet item as a separate object (text block) (which is effectively what the above does) and manipulate as desired.
Or
have each bullet on a separate slide and just do a slide transition without builds.

This has proved unsatisfactory to me so far. Lines are left in etc.

There are two basic menus for fonts - one from the main menu bar and one from the toolbar. You can also bring up the font manage dialog.
I don't recommend trying to hard to force an otherwise foreign font, as it inevitably needs to be usable/supported on iOS as well, and that can get tricky w/3rd party fonts, as an example, even with the expanded font support in the latest iBA.
If you need to discuss fonts more, I suggest starting a new thread....preferably with a slightly more brief title, thanks.

and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
"my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that
"airport has the self assigned IP address etc....."
i don't know whats going on now!

HT201260 I'm trying to figure out which OS X version and build I need to completely reformat and then re-install the OS on my G4 Power PC (Quicksilver 2002)

So I've started my quest for the correct information and software required to completely erase and then re-install the OS on my G4 Power PC (Quicksilver 2002) roughly 2 days ago only to be stuck and very frustrated! So I could more than likely figure this out on own BUT the OS currently installed is so screwed up I cant even safe mode start it.. so I cant get the information I need from the "about this Mac" details if it were running. Is there another way to figure the correct OS X and build I'll need to reformat. I just want to return it to it's factory state and then give it to my kid. Anyone's help on this matter will be so very appreciated. Thanks

Why would I get different sized exe's if I build the same source code and target the same RT target?

Hi Bob P (Dr. RT) et al,
This is driving me nuts! I have a VI that uses different amount of memory depending on which machine I use to do the build.
I use the same build file and the same source.
It is targeted at the same cFP2000.
FP version is the same.
LV version is the same.
If I build it from the one machine, there is enough memory available to target the RT platform, show the front panel and do a "show RT engine info".
If I try this from the other machine, the cFP crashes, starts flashing the "status light" and latter on the crash dump file indicate "insuffiecient memory to complete this operation".
The OS on the two machines are both XP. O
ne is a laptop (the one that works) the other is a tower.
Are there any LV ini file settings that could be hitting me?
My customer is seeing the same issue, so it not just me.
Any clues?

1)Ftp to your target. Are the exes the same size on disk?

2)Build the exes on the hosts. Are they the same size on disk?
I will have to look at this.
3)Can you determine whether the exes consume the same amount of memory when loaded on the hosts?
They will not run on the host because they use inport/output (to control serial port handshake lines).
4)Does your application call any dlls via an NI driver or custom-built?
THey use the "Settime.dll. At build time the builder says the target OS has its own version of this (and FP).
I'm doubtful that any LV ini settings are causing this behavior. If I had to take a guess, it could be related to dll versioning. Do the hosts have identical versions of *all*
drivers/dlls called by your app?"
Can you give me a suggestion on how verify this.
I have double checked LV (6.1) and FP.

Hiding Navigator and Builder Links on Account Info Page

Can any one help me to Hide the navigator and builder links in the Account Info page ?
I need a very basic account info page where the user can only change his password. I am hoping that oracle has an easy method for doing this. I would not like to build a customized page if possible.

As for any portal page, you just have to set the right acces rules on the navigator and builder pages and the links won't appear.
Also, if you just need a link to change password you can create it in an html portlet, just look at the adress the seeded link points to. You'll also so find some password change portlet in Knowledge Exchange.
