Yes it is possible.
It would be easier in CR2008  where you have the ability to add Calculated Members.
In previous versions you would need to create a variable for each year and using the GridRowColumnValue function assign the current value to a variable. You would then need to add a second summary field as a "dummy" summary and in the Display string formula declare the variables and manipulate the values as you like and finally convert the output to string.

  • Running Totals and Formulas with Cross Tabs

    Hi,
    I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 and am having two issues using Cross Tabs.
    The first is that I want to have two crosstabs. They both will have a common Y axis (Oppourtunity.Sales Rep), and on the Y Axis I want one to show all (Opportunity.Create Date) where (Opportunity.Staus = Won) and the other where (Opportunity.Staus = In Process), but I can't figure out how to contruct the formula to return this result.
    The other issue, is that in addition to summarizing based on Sum (Opportunity.Expected Revenue), I would also like to create a running total to show the cumulative (Expected Revenue) Week over Week.
    Any direction would be fantastic.
    Thank you,
    Michael

    Please go through the SAP Notes listed here which would help you how to create mannual running totals in crosstab

                      JAN    FEB    MAR ....... DEC (the 12 months as columns)
    year 2006

                      JAN    FEB    MAR ....... DEC (the 12 months as columns)
    year 2006

    where (205) and   (14) are calculate from:
    (205) = (150 - 458) * 100 / 150 I have to  make this operation for each month takin the values from item 01 from 2006 with the values from item 01 from 2007 and so on

  • SAP Crystal Report - Formula in Cross Tab Report

    I have a below requirement in a cross tab report,
    Category          Name          Valu1          Value2    %ge
    A                       Car               40                  50        80
    A                        Bike             30                  60        50
    Total                                       70               110     63.6
    %ge is a formula field and is calculated as value1/value2 * 100
    Consider the Total section as a group footer.
    In the cross tab report how do I put the formula field for %ge in Total section.

    Vishujain
    Crosstabs are very structured and you are limited in what you can do with them. You can do a percentage summary in Crosstabs, but only as a percentage of the row total or the percentage of the column total. You cannot put a formula in the crosstab to do a percentage of a values in seperate rows. Any time I need to perform a function not available in a crosstab, I do a manual cross tab. Look at: [Manual Crosstab Explaination|Re: Formulas : Help for coding]

  • Formula/manual cross tab help

    my variable name in my database is rsq01. the results for this variable are 0,1,2,3,4,5.
    I need to setup a crosstab that only shows the results 1-5 and what percent of the total results they are, 0 needs to be excluded
    from the crosstab and from the count that is used in figuring the percentage because 0 is actually null.
    I have been told to do this I will have to make a manual cross tab using formulas.
    Any suggestions/examples on how to do this? Thanks.

    Pretty simple actually. Just create 5 formulas...
    //Formula 1
    Global NumberVar rsq01;
    IF rsq01= 1 THEN {TableName.FieldName} ELSE 0
    //Formula 2
    Global NumberVar rsq01;
    IF rsq01 = 2 THEN {TableName.FieldName} ELSE 0
    //Formula 3
    Global NumberVar rsq01;
    IF rsq01= 3 THEN {TableName.FieldName} ELSE 0
    //Formula 4
    Global NumberVar rsq01;
    IF rsq01= 4 THEN {TableName.FieldName} ELSE 0
    //Formula 5
    Global NumberVar rsq01;
    IF rsq01= 5 THEN {TableName.FieldName} ELSE 0
    Then group by the appropriate field, sum each of the formulas and hide the details.

  • Formula for cross tab row

    Post Author: bvandyck
    CA Forum: Formula
    The results of a row in a cross tab report need to be split out by percentages and added to the results of other rows.  Each row is an individual, except one row is a combination of individuals.  Certain individuals share in the results of the combination row.   The combination row will be zero after being added to the individuals' rows.  What is the formula for achieving this?

    Hi,
    U may create a new formula for that.
    There is an option in cross tab expert for new formula.
    U may create a formula of your choice and then insert in report.

  • 'print time' formula in cross tab?

    Is it possible to use a formula that is processed 'whileprintingrecords' in a cross table?

    Hi Marlene
    We cannot use the formula using Print time functions in Crosstab as these functions is processed in Pass # 2 of multi-pass reporting and the Crosstab is processed in Pass #1.
    You can refer Multi-Pass Reporting Topic of Crystal Reports Help for more clarification.
    To work around this issue you can use subreport and create a formula using print time functions and with the help of shared variable display it in Main report crosstab.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks

  • Crystal Reports 2008 Formula in Cross-Tab Error Not Supported

    I have a crosstab that was created in Crystal XI and when I opened the report in Crystal 2008 I receive an Error "Not Supported" when I removed the fromula that was in the Crosstab the report displayed. The following is the formula that is within the crosstab:
    If {VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME} = '(No Cohort)'  THEN
        If DistinctCount({VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME},{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.PROPOSAL_VERSION_ID}) >1 then
             {VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME}&" "&{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.VISIT_NAME}
        else
            ""&" "&{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.VISIT_NAME}
    else
        {VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME}&" "&{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.VISIT_NAME}
    As I mentioned the formula works perfectly in Crystal XI but not Crystal 2008 which no sese at all.  We are preparing to migrate from Crystal XI to Crystal 2008 and if this is an issue we may need to but upgrading off.
    Any help with this would be gratly appreciated.

    Try adding brackets around the If statements.e.g.
    If {VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME} = '(No Cohort)' THEN
    If DistinctCount({VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME},{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.PROPOSAL_VERSION_ID}) >1
    then {VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME}&" "&{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.VISIT_NAME}
    else ""&" "&{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.VISIT_NAME}
    else {VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.COHORT_NAME}&" "&{VWR_PPS_VISIT_SCHEDULE.VISIT_NAME}

  • Calculating percentages by date grouping in a Cross-tab report.

    I have created a monthly at glance dashboard, and I am having difficulty with the percentage breakdown.  I have the report grouped by date, and sorted by month with YTD total on the right.
    *The problem is all the rows with a percentage are calculating the same across the columns.  The YTD total is correct, but the totals for January and February are not 60%.
    If I run the report for one month everything aligns, and in multiple months everything is correct with count summaries.
    Please let me know if anyone has any advice.

    Please see the crosstab expert window view requested below.
    Also, here is another screenshot of the crosstab in preview.  You will see that all sums with whole numbers are calculating and pulling correctly by month.  The sums with percentages are defaulting to the YTD across the row.  Thank you very much for your assistance.

  • Maximum character limits for data types under the Definition tab in Outbound Dialer Import Rule configuration.

    Hello,
    We're running an outbound SIP dialer under UCCE 8.5(4). The need has come up to allow more than 10 characters for the first name field under the Definition tab in the import rule configuration section, however, it seems that 10 characters is the upper limit. The reason for wanting to do this is that we're seeing a large number of calls fail to import because the members first name is larger than 10 characters, for example, an import record with a first name of Maximillian will fail. The idea was presented to simply shorten the member name in the event it exceeds 10 characters. However, the concern is that this will cause the agent to mispronounce the members name when they are connected on the phone during initial greeting. For example, Maximillian now becomes Maximillia. Has anyone ever run into the need to do this? Is there a known workaround? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    -Mike

    Mike,
    Are you certain that you're trying to increase the value of the correct field? When you go into your Import Rule > Definition tab > highlight the FirstName field name and click Modify... What you should see for Field length is 1-255. You can easily increase the number of character to over 10.

  • Dynamically color to each column in Cross-tab report

    Hello All,
    I am a newbie in Crystal report,from last few weeks, i am working on cross tab crystal report.i have a requirement to show color dynamically for each column.i am adding an attachment how i want it. i tried dynamic coloring using object field formula but it is showing red color to all data.i want red color data when in 2nd  cross tab report data is beyond upper or lower limit in first cross tab table. it will be very helpful if somebody will give me any clue on this.... i read so many articles now it seem like impossible for me..:(
    i am using visual studio 2010 and sap crystal report version 13.0.0.99 for visual studio 2010.

    Hello Manish,
    I have attached a sample report that does this. You will need to remove the .txt extension from the attached file to open it as an .rpt file.
    Please right click on one of the value fields of the first cross tab in the report > Format Field > Common > Suppress if Duplicated conditional formula.
    The nested formula is as follows;
    numbervar array l;
    numbervar array u;
    numbervar x:=CurrentColumnIndex;
    if GridRowColumnValue ('@limit') = 'lower limit' then
    (redim preserve l[x];
    l[x]:= tonumber(CurrentFieldValue))
    else if GridRowColumnValue ('@limit') = 'upper limit' then
    (redim preserve u[x];
    u[x]:= tonumber(CurrentFieldValue));
    false
    So it assigns each lower and upper limit value for each client (in the sample it is country) to an array using the cross tabs column index to index the array and it ends in False as we don't actually want it to suppress if duplicated. This nested formula is just used to generate the arrays of upper and lower values.
    In the second cross tab if you again right click on one of the value fields > Format Field > Font > Color you will see the following conditional formula;
    numbervar array l;
    numbervar array u;
    numbervar x;
    if not(tonumber(CurrentFieldValue) in l[CurrentColumnIndex] to u[CurrentColumnIndex]) then
    crred
    else
    crblack
    So this compaes the current field value to range generated by the 2 arrays and assigns a color based on whether or not it is in the range.
    Regards,
    Graham

  • Suppress values in Cross-Tab and Cross-Tab Chart if null

    I am developing a cross-tab report that has no-values contributing to the summary in a number of cells.  For instance, if I were to display the average value for the testing of particle-counts by the day of the month, and no testing was performed on a particular day, then I would hope that the cell would be blank and a plot of the cross-tab would just omit that data point.  However, Crystal interprets this as a 0.00 instead of NULL, and the plot (incorrectly) includes the zero-datapoint.
    I can suppress the datapoint in the cross-tab if it's zero, but that isn't correct either (as, sometimes, zero will be the correct answer).  Even then, though, I cannot suppress the datapoint on the plot.
    Anyone have experience with a workaround for this?
    Thanks - Tim

    BTW...I found that I can work-around the plotting issue if I convert the chart to a "Group" type (instead of cross-tab).  It will then ignore the null-values.  Still thinking about cross-tab displaying zero for a summary value when it is working with no data.
    Suggestions?

  • Help with Cross-tab

    Hello everyone...
    Here is some quick background info on my project:
    1) I am attempting to write a Crystal Report (version 10) to automatically capture crime statistics for a previous time period based on a current time period entered into the Crystal Report parameter. The current date range to automatically be captured is the previous seven weeks. For example, if a user enters the date range of June 15, 2008 - August 2, 2008, the Crystal Report will automatically gather data for the two date ranges of April 27, 2008 - June 14, 2008 (the previous date range) and June 15, 2008 - August 2, 2008 (the current date range). The purpose of this is to automatically gather crime statistics for two equal date ranges to compare crime rates.
    2) I have been able to successfully construct a formula to gather the previous date range.
    3) I have constructed a cross-tab but I am having difficulties formatting the cross-tab to display data as I desire.
    With the background of my project now described I will move into the main problem I am experiencing. I am able to display the data for all the necessary weeks in the cross-tab; using the same date range above I am able to show data for the fourteen weeks of April 27, 2008 - August 2, 2008. However, I wish to have a single cross-tab display the grand totals for just the previous date range while having weekly totals and a grand total for the current date range.
    Using the same date ranges above as an example, the date range of April 27, 2008 - June 14, 2008 will show just the grand totals for all seven weeks of that period. Conversely, I would like to have the date range of June 15, 2008 - August 2, 2008 show weekly totals as well as grand totals for all seven weeks of that period.
    I would like to keep all this data in a single cross-tab due to having to put the data in another crime analysis report.
    Any help you can provide is most appreciated...let me know if I can provide further info. Just so you know I am a bit of a beginner when it comes to Crystal Reports.

    Hello, you might try this:
    1) Create a formula field in your details section with this:
    Whileprintingrecords;
    If (table.date >= "start date of your pre-date range" and
    table.date <= "end date of your pre-date range") then 'Pre-Date'
    else
    if (table.date >= "your 1st week start" and table.date <= "your 1st week end") then 'Week 1'
    else (if table.date >= "your 2nd week start" and table.date <= "your 2nd week end") then 'Week 2'
    else .... for the 7 weeks you want a separate column.
    2) create the cross-tab and put the formula field as the column.
    3) I believe if you right-click on the total field to the far right and "Format Field" you can use the "Display String" option to delete the sum of the previous week's from the CurrentFieldValue and use the TOTEXT() function to display it. This will only display the sum of your current 7 weeks.
    You may want to go change the "Group Options" for the column to Sort in "Specified Order" and create named groups for each of your column headings. I can explain how you would do this if you need it.

  • Cross Tab calculation in Individual column-Crystal Report

    Hi experts
    I am preparing a report in Crystal report 2008. Report template is Cross Tab.
    Structure of report is
    Cardname-Row, DocType-Columnd, DocTotal-Summarize field.
    Result of this report is
                          IN(Invoice)             RC(Incoming Payment)      Total
    XYZ                    1000                  -500                                 500

    Total                   3000                  -1500                               1500
    I have inserted a column using calculated member. I want to Calculate in that column with BP opening balance
    eg. OCRD.Balance-DocTotal when I do this it give first value to all column rows, i.e (consider XYZ opng Balance is 1500, I have calculate month opening balance which meance Current Opening Balance-Current month Order bookings=Month opening balance)
              IN(Invoice)             RC(Inc Pmt)      Total   Opng Balance
    XYZ       1000                  -500                  500     500

    Total      3000                  -1500                1500    500
    I want to calculate Opng Balance for each CardName but it gives first Customers opning balance to all customers.
    Give me solution.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi
    I think you can do calculation based on the formula .On the cross tab ,there is :
    X -selection - row
    Y - selection -column
    Z - summary
    You can also use formula on cross tab to do that function  and insert into summary section .
    Hope this helps .
