Digital camera software opens on iPhone sync, incompatible, how to stop?

Every time I sync my iPhone, my digital camera's program opens up but is incompatible with my iPhone. Is there anyway I can disable this program opening when I connect my phone? I can still sync my photos through folders so I don't need an outside program... Thanks for your help.

Your computer recognizes the iphone as a digital camera.
Therefore, your photo management software (Olympus Master) opens.
Apparently you have either your computer set to open Olympus Master when a digital camera is connected, or you have Olympus Master set to open when a digital camera is connected. As I am not a windows user or an Olympus user, I don't know where the settings are located, but you should be able to find them.

Scanner software opens when iphone connected

Hi all.
Ever since I have had my iphone3gs, when I connect it to my XPpro PC my scanning software opens. (takes ages coz itunes opens at the same time) I have been into control panel / Scanners and cameras / properties of the iphone and disabled it but when I reconect it changes the settings back again. I have the latest itunes and phone software updated as of today from the apple site and it still does it. Can anyone help please.

Open iTunes and go to Preferences.
Select 'Devices'
Uncheck the option 'Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically'
Click 'OK'
Go back to the iPods, iPhones or iPad settings. The 'Open iTunes when this device is connected' is enabled.
Uncheck 'Open iTunes when this device is connected'
Go back to iTunes Preferences
Select 'Devices'
Check the option 'Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically'
Click OK
IMO this is a bug. A user shouldnt have to jump through hoops to stop an iDevice from auto syncing or opening iTunes.

Can a digital camera display appear on iphone

I want to mount my digital camera and then view the display with my iphone. stated another way, i'm going to take pictures of books and i need to mount the camera way out of sight in a location where my head can't really go with ease. i want to connect the camera to my iphone and mount the iphone right in front of me.
I'm going to plug the RCA video inputs into the camera with this

HP Photosmart M627 Digital Camera Software Installation CD Compatible w/Windows 7

I switched from Windows XP to Windows 7 over a year ago, and the HP Photosmart M627 Digital Camera (Model L2420A) and the software CD originally installed was incompatible with Windows 7. Therefore, I haven't been able to upload pics from my camera to my computer to store and/or customize.
I have tried other photography software programs, however, I definitely prefer the software designed to work with my camera. Can anyone instruct on how to navigate the website (HP) to locate the same? Thanks in advance!

Canon digital camera software

I just purchased a Canon SD 850 IS digital camera. It comes with Canon's Digital Camera Solution Disc. For Macintosh, it includes ImageBrowser 5.8, PhotoStitch 3.1, and EOS Utility 1.1. The manual says not to connect the camera until the software is downloaded.
Do I need to download the software, or will Iphoto be sufficient? Is there any disadvantages to downloading the software?

You don;t need to use the Canon software to upload your images to you Mac and there is no disadvantage downloading the software.
If it were me, I would go ahead and download the Canon Software. The main reason would be the use of PhotoStich, there are no Apps you have on your Mac that can do some of the things PhotoStich is designed to do. If you do decide to install the Canon software, you will also need to decide whether iPhoto or ImageBrowser should handle the downloading and indexing of your images. You can make this choice by opening Apps > Image Capture, open preferences and pick which one should open.

Failure to install canon digital camera software

I'm unable to install the software from the disc provided and the update from the Canon site. I have run a disc repair and still unable to install. The camera downloads to another iMac and the software installed to a Dell. Also I tried installing an earlier version that works on second iMac but cannot get that to download to primary iMac (G4 10.4.8)
Any ideas about what to do next?

It is not your iMac. I just purchased an iMac G5 Intel and I also have a Canon Digital Elph (with the Canon software installed on my eMac G4) wondering the same thing. There are some aspects of the Canon software that I prefer over iPhoto.
But before installing, I came across the following on Canon's homepage:
"Canon is conducting compatibility tests for the current versions of Canon digital imaging software with the shipping versions of Mac OS X 10.4 [Tiger]. Results will be posted soon. For now, Canon is not claiming compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4"

Imagery Apps for digital camera to iPod Touch / iPhone

Hoping I can pose this question here - does anyone know if there is or will be an APP for linking digital cameras via cable (wireless would be perfect!) to an iPod Touch or iPhone mainly for using the screen as a larger preview screen (maybe with a few handy 'extras').
The number of times you get two or more crowded around a small 2 inch on the back of a Nikon on it's tripod!

Now I'm travelling to China at the end of the year I am hoping even more that some Apps guru can come up with even a basic processing App to load images that can attach to say, my daily news to my Friends on Facebook!
I know my Sony uses USB2.0 so all that would be needed is an intermediary link to plug into the Touch? I noticed there is Apple iPod Camera Connector (M9861) available but reviews don't cover the Touch and there's conflicting reports.
Already you can now get a useful photo retouching App (Picoli) which makes life even easier.

Sony digital camera software?

I have a DCR-HC21 and lost/misplaced the cd that came with the camera. I'm a recent convert to the mac and am lost as to how to load my video. Sony wants me to pay 69 Bucks for a new software cd. Is there another way?

The Sony DCR-HC21 is a MiniDV camcorder. Have you tried using Apple's iMovie which is included free with all recent Macs? Apple has great video tutorials at http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/imovie/index.html.

New to iphone and wonder how to stop old emails from uploading.

I'm new to iPhone. I'm just now really playing with the device and wan to clean out the old emails. Every time I delete 50, then an additional 50 download to the device. i have over 8000 emails on the server! i don't want all these coming to my iphone. how do i stop it? i only want the ones from today forward at this point.

If the account is a POP account, all messages that remain on the server will be downloaded as new unread messages when creating the account with a new or different email client - the iPhone's Mail client is no different than when creating an existing POP account with a new or different email client in this regard, and I'm not aware of a setting to download new messages received at the server from or after a designated date with any email client.
If the account is an IMAP account, all server stored mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account.

Manually open iphone sync in itunes... HOW??

I have turned off the "auto-sync" option in iTunes, so that every time I plug in my iphone, it won't automatically sync, and it will allow me to sync manually at my discretion. When auto-sync is turned ON, iTunes starts automatically when the phone is plugged in, and it opens to the appropriate iphone sync screens, specifically the Summary tab. However, it doesn't work this way when auto-sync is turned off. Somehow, you have to open the sync screens in itunes manually. But.... HOW???
How do I get to that iphone Summary tab when I want to sync manually?? I plug my phone in, and I manually start iTunes, but I am not seeing any choices or options to open the iphone "Summary" tab. It is nowhere to be found!. I have navigated all over that program trying to find how to open the iphone sync screens, and I cannot find a way! Help!! Anybody....?

in iTunes clikc on the name of your device "john smiths iPhone" - should be listed on the left side of the screen where your library, purchased music, videos, playlists, etc. When you click it opens the iPhone's "info" tab and you can get there from there.

If you are taking pics with your iphone you can email from there, but using a digital camera is better for quality. You can take the memory card to any walgreens or wal-mart and have a photo cd made and then make copies of that.
